they have a 3 night max, but were happy to extend it as we rode out a big storm. No hookups but a nice Dump AND potable water, quiet parking lot, security drives around. friendly staff. you do need to show activity and get a player's card. good breakfast at Alice's Restaurant. - mac2school

Good place to spend a night or two: free. We did need to go in and register with the Casino. They gave us "free" money to play. We had a good dinner there. Would stay again! - openrange

We only stayed one night. It was free as long as you went in and signed up for a player's card. The parking lot was clean and lighting was good. This is not a family place. The RVs around us were old other than a few that were as we were, just there for the night. They have a three day limit. The walk from the RVs to the casino was dark and has no lighting to and from each other. The parking lot was just behind the convenience store located in the same area. - Beas1979

Roads and sites paved and the roads are easy to get around on. Check in was a breeze however after he charged my card I was informed that the cable was out. We got to our site, a back in, with easy access and right next to the bathroom. As it's prone to do in this area it rained, not much by local standards but we are now somewhere between a rv and a boat. We are sitting large puddle that is a pain to deal with. Showers were clean and had great hot water and prett good pressure but it appears their plumber put in the faucets backwards. So if you want hot turn it to cold and vice a versa. Verizon phone and Mifi worked well and their Wifi was ok but a bit slow for everyday use. We will probably stay here again for a night so we can resupply from Costco and Safeway but not any longe than a day. Road noise wasn't too bad and the park is extremly well lit. - pumper9x9

Pro: Very close to highway access. easy to find, large RV spaces with level concrete. All utilities in excellent condition. Good Wifi and excellent Cell coverage. Pool and Rec Room available. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Great for overnighter. Con: Very close to the highway and road noise all night long. Reservations recommended as this place is often full. - Trinityfly

Arrived in Arcata and made our reservation on the phone and received good directions to the park. Staff friendly and easy check in. I think our site was #5, (pull through) which is a 30 amp site, I had an adapter so no problem, It is close to being level but I unhooked mainly to cover & lock the bed cover of our truck as the park was experiencing bicycle thefts. No reason to give a bike thief a reason to steal something else. The water spigot would not turn off so there was a two way Y shut off on the spigot, didn't have to put my own on. Grass between sites, not spacious but room enough you were not close to your neighbors dump. Quite a bit of in & out traffic until late night, but the park was quiet. The park is well kept, the men's bathroom was clean but does need updating, more for repairs then looks. We did not use the pool area or wifi, Tango wifi, not worth the effort. Have to give the park credit for admitting the bicycle theft problem, but a thief is a thief so everything you have is fair game, not some place I want to stay for more then overnight. We did not eat at the Mexican Restaurant, but may return (oh the smell made our mouths water) just to eat there. - 10-10

The pictures on the website are NOTHING like the actual park. We reserved a deluxe tent site with water and electric. We arrive and the place looks a little questionable. I check in and we head to our site. It is tiny, no fire pit and surrounded by campers who seem to be living there. Across from our site the RV sites were packed with RVs and a ton of cars. It looked like the person living there had a used car lot and they were working on cars. Behind the fence of our site looked like another junk yard. The pictures on the site look like there is ample space between sites, but in reality it is like a rundown parking lot. We did not feel comfortable here at all and went to talk to the staff. I told them we did not want to stay and would like a refund, but the rules are no refunds, which makes sense because I am sure many people show up there and decide they are not comfortable staying there. Look elsewhere for a park, this place is super sketchy. I wish I would have taken photos, but we just wanted to get out of there. - wendy13

Overpriced unkept Park. My husband had to cut tree branches away from our coach on our "pull through" and will have to back out of the spot because overgrown trees prevents him from pulling through. Something wrong with electric on our 50 amp, our coach kicks off on it....hate to think what would happen if we used our AC. WiFi is pretty much the slowest I've had and is mostly non-existent. Park not in the best location, hidden behind lumber store and close to nothing. Lots of permanent residents which is fine but this is a trailer park not an RV Resort. I feel ripped off paying $50.33 (after good Sam discount) for this mediocre parking spot. I would not stay here again. - MaryIrish

25 of us were here for a family reunion. The place is a little tricky to find, but even though off 101, the road noise was minimal. The pool and spa were not working; playground was great; no cable. Bathrooms ok, laundry area dirty. Staff was very customer service oriented. The worse part is no enforcement of the noise curfew. Two nights were awful. One time the sheriff had to come, the next night another group were rudely loud until after midnight. A little security and on site staff at night would go a long way. There is a lot to do in the general area though. This park has potential, but right now it's a no go. - Grammajamma
