This is a lovely park in an urban setting. Our FHU, pull-through site was long and spacious. The sites are not crammed together and offered shade and privacy. The park is large with 3 ponds, a great swimming pool with a water slide for kids and there is a fishing pond as well. You feel like you are in a rural setting with a nice view of the San Bernardino Mountains. You need a code to get in the park after hours, so late arrivals should call ahead for instructions. We enjoyed our stay here. The only downside were the large number of gopher holes that make the ground a bit uneven - be careful where you walk. We camped at Yucaipa Regional Park in a Travel Trailer.

Shopping and laundromats are within a 5 minute drive. Joshua Tree National Park is about an hour away. Oak Glen Preserve and apple orchard country in the San Bernardino foothills with a Montane Botanic Garden and a Children's Discovery Center are worth a visit when you're in the area.

Pretty park with trees, some privacy, fairly level. GPS took us to the soccer field entrance. Keep driving another mile for the correct entrance to the park. We camped at Yucaipa Regional Park in a Motorhome.

Excellent place to stay in the San Bernardino/Riverside area. It's the first RV campground in the area where we've felt safe. There were regular security patrols. The sites are very large with full hook-ups. The scenery is beautiful and there's a lot to do in the park. They took reservations but gave no discount for the planned electrical outage during our 2 night stay. There was lots of shade and grass. We will stay here again. We camped at Yucaipa Regional Park in a Motorhome.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Yucaipa Regional Park. We're fairly new to 5th wheel camping and are getting our legs under us, by staying local. YRP is clean, open (sites are separated and not on top of each other). Once on site, it's easy to forget this is, for the most part "urban camping". As the large park, open spaces, mountains in the background, give the impression of being out of town. Great park for up to 3 units, as there are large pull thru sites, accommodating up to 3 full size RV's. We camped at Yucaipa Regional Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We needed to arrive a day early due to our plan change and the county park service was very helpful getting us a space with full hookups. The views out our windows are lovely and peaceful, the space between sites is ample and we felt quite private -- the park is uncrowded this time of year but even full it would feel private. Use 34.0486878, -117.0471204 coordinates rather than the street address -- we used a Garmin Navigator and the address told us to turn off Oak Glen Rd too early. We camped at Yucaipa Regional Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This was our first stay at this county park and we were not disappointed. Nicely kept facility with spacious sites and good hookups. Located east of the city of Yucaipa in an area of rolling hills, the views from within the park are very nice Only negative for us was that we were unable to get satellite reception for news and other programming due to the many trees that block satellite reception. There are a few open sites without trees where reception would be received but the park was full up when we were there for a two day family visit. We are not big TV people by any means but we do watch the morning and evening news when traveling so this was a negative for us. Spaces are asphalt as are the interior roads and the scenery is very nice all throughout the entire park. Family friendly and no doubt a great place of kids as there is fishing and hiking, etc. and other fun things for them to do. We would stay here again as this is the best bet in in the general area.................. We camped at Yucaipa Regional Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We did not see any camp store in the area of the park we were in but there may be some facilities down by the lake which we did not go to. For main food items, etc. it is roughly a two mile drive into town where there is major shopping, etc.

This is a county park, campground. There are separate areas for RV', tents, and day use. Very clean well maintained with lawns and many sites have shade This is an urban park but very quiet and does a great job of separating and blocking view of nearby housing while offering great views of wild lands and mountains Park staff are knowledgeable of their facility and friendly. The park is within a few blocks of all kind of businesses, stores and restaurants There is a senior discount during the week. We camped at Yucaipa Regional Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The park and campsite were very nice. Our site was nice and long and allowed us to park our 4Runner in front of our A frame. There are three small artificial lakes where people can fish, and families can play in warmer weather. There were lots of water fowl and other birds to watch. At night the coyotes put on quite a song-fest. Many of the surrounding mountains were snow-capped during our February stay. All in all a lovely spot.

We arrived on a Thursday night. On Friday, place filled up with people who fished and families. This is near many urban areas, so the place got busy even in February. I suspect it is packed in summer. The major downside was the bathroom/shower facilities. The one next to our site did not have electricity during our stay, hence no light at night and no hot water. We were directed to another facility which had hot water, but was far from clean and really worn out. It's too bad that an otherwise lovely spot should be marred by the shoddy bathrooms and shower maintenance and cleaning. We camped at Yucaipa Regional Park in a Tent Trailer.

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in space 30. Our first visit. The good: easy to back into; great mountain views; neighbors not too close (large grass areas between sites); quiet (no school noise); dark at night (no school lights); close to restrooms/showers (did not use showers); Verizon & sat TV worked well; trash cans nearby. The bad: no fire pit; sprinklers every night sprayed truck & left puddles; evening gnats; gophers & holes. The ugly: space 30 appears on the map to be closest to a footbridge to the lakes/community park, but the bridge actually goes to a long slope that would be dangerous to cross. Instead, you walk a good distance on a trail to an access point. Due to a poorly marked/maintained official entrance to that trail south of space 30, the RV park users constantly walked and biked through space 30 - the staff had placed two old broken wooden barricades across the back of the space (to keep people out?) but no one paid attention to them. A friendly couple, who camp here often, warned us it was much worse on weekends, holidays and summertime (we were there Mon-Thu). We also want to note the previous campers appeared to enjoy cigarettes, beer, wine and toothpicks in plastic wrappers and not cleaning up after themselves. Bottom line: We enjoyed our stay and will return, but get a different site in the same section. We camped at Yucaipa Regional Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a lovely stay at this Yucaipa Regional Park. There are two sections for RV's. Section one is heavily treed, but the trade off is the site backs up to a rather busy street, so I would suspect noise could be an issue. We stayed in the other section and while trees were sparse, the view of the desert mountains was very pretty. Sites are asphalt and #23 required very little leveling. Full hook ups were well spaced and in good working order. Each site has an uncovered concrete patio with a large picnic table and Bar-b-q pit. We dusted for ants, but they were not bad. During the week, we almost had the park to ourselves, but by Friday evening every site was taken. However, the sites are so generously spaced that we never felt overrun and everyone was considerate and noise was not a problem. The grounds, hiking/walking trails, roads, and outbuildings were well maintained and landscaped nicely. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Yucaipa Regional Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

This park offers several playgrounds, swimming complete with large covered water slides, and a small lake for canoes and paddle boats, available for rent on site. In addition, there are fishing ponds, lots of hiking trails, and sports fields. Only 70 miles from Los Angeles and beaches, a day trip is easily accessed. There is just no good reason to NOT stay in this park/area.

This gem of a park is right in our neighborhood. We chose it as a close destination for our first "shake down" in our new motorhome. For an urban park, it has the appearance of a remote country location. Only sites closer to the entrance experiencing traffic noise remind you of the urban setting. It has lots of fully grown trees, acres of grass and large sites to enjoy. Day use area provides water park activities which is popular on weekends. Some sites are designed for multiple family gatherings. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay here. We camped at Yucaipa Regional Park in a Motorhome.

Really liked this campground. It is convenient and not far off I-10. We stayed 4 days and it was great. Our campsite was level and we had no issues with our Internet (Verizon Jetpack) and DirecTV. It was a nice, quiet, well maintained campground with full hookups and 50 amp service. A little pricey but a nice stop in the middle of the summer. We will return in our 40' RV. We stayed here in February for the first time. Space #13. The staff was very friendly, check in was easy and smooth. The Rangers leave at 6pm, but they give you a gate key for after hours access. We were about midway between the front of the park and the back. A little bit of road noise, but not too bad. Site was a single, level pull through. I say single as they have many sites that accommodate up to 3 RV's at a time, one right behind the other. Mainly for groups I think. Lots of trees in the older part of the CG up front, but not so much in the newer part of the campground in the rear. The magnificent views of the mountains in the back part of the CG makes up for the lack of shade. The park is bordered by private homes and a middle school. We did not hear a lot of noise from the school while we were there. The lakes looked really good, 2 fishing and one for swimming. The swimming lake was closed for the winter, but we will be back with the grandkids on the labor day weekend so that they can enjoy it. Sand beaches and a couple of nice looking waterslides. We camped at Yucaipa Regional Park in a Travel Trailer.
