This park is great. We stayed in the D loop again, which is perfect for larger rigs. Since the park is under construction due to their plan to raise the level of the reservoir, we had to go in the east entrance, but it's closer to the campground anyway so that wasn't a problem. Like several other Colorado state parks, this dam and reservoir are managed by the COE, while the park areas are managed by the state. D loop has full hookups until November, when they shut the water off for the winter. The other loops are really nice, but not big enough for us. We stayed in three different spots because we booked too late to get a long stint in the same space, but that was ok. The site we were in had a cancellation during a snow event that was coming up, so we didn't have to move. That was a plus! We like this park and will always put it at the top of the list when we come back to visit family in our old city of residence. We get the annual pass, which covers admission to ALL of the state parks, and is well worth the price. - Denise and Glenn
Oct 2018 - $33.00
Price reflects camping only. There is also a daily access for of $8. Annual passes are available to cover the daily fee if you are a frequent state park camper. I have a lifetime pass that I paid a lot for but they refused to honor it because circumstances caused me to move out of state. I was disappointed that apparently lifetime does not really mean lifetime so my camping really cost me $41 per day. Check in was a little chaotic as numerous campers arrived at about the same time with only one check in station. That being said, the park is very nice with plenty of space between camping sites. OTA TV produced numerous channels. Can pick up Wi-Fi near the restroom facilities. Interior roads are blacktop and sites are level concrete slabs. Picnic table on small patio and fire ring at each site. Sites are cleaned by campground host after each departure. - Bobco
Sep 2018 - $39.00
We enjoyed our stay here. We had a nice pull through with nice space between other campers and had lots of places to walk the dogs. There are bunny rabbits everywhere so have a good leash. There is construction in the area, they are raising the level of the lake. Its really going to be a summer hot spot. Make reservations early the locals book the weekends far in advance. We will stay here again. Littleton is a nice little town. - Davidsons

Feb 2019 - $41.00
Very nice park with great views and wildlife. We saw deer and heard coyotes or wolves and owls. During winter, there is just one loop open so pretty sparse, but the spaces are nicely spread out. They have heated water faucet which is nice for this time of year to lower freezing issues. They don't really keep the streets clear of ice, but with the weather, it is manageable. Lots of activity in the park with cyclists and joggers. Service is fine, we didn't really see anyone. There was one day a camper had damaged the water so we did not have water supply as they worked on it. By the end of the day, we were back to having water. We only learned this by calling office, there was no notice given to campers like a left message on phone or note on windshield. - PicturingRVLife
Jan 2019 - $41.00
We stayed here for 3 nights while passing through on our way to Breckenridge for skiing. This was a great location for shopping for ski gear. There was a lot of snow at the campground which was so pretty, and only the Abilene loop was open in January. It was great to have full hookups at a state park. The sites in the Abilene loop are spacious. The camp hosts were so friendly and we enjoyed talking with them. We would definitely stay here again if in the Denver area. Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile all worked well. - Love2Camp777
Oct 2018 - $38.00
I could stay here for months. This 4,000 acre park is an oasis in Denver. Beautiful trees and green spaces make this one of the best parks we have ever stayed at. We had a big pull through site with full hookups and 50 amp power. They have WiFi which is hit or miss, but the fact that a state park has WiFi tells you how much effort they have put into the campground area of this park. If you can get a reservation here, stay as long as you can and make great memories by the campfire with your family. - Undivided Nation

They will not refund for any reason! I paid in full ahead of time for 4 nights - Oct. 13-17. There is a strong storm coming coming this weekend, too dangerous to pull a camper through. The girl on the phone said "Oh well its Colorado it gets cold here!" We usually bring grand kids here for their October Fall Halloween fun we love the park, But we won't be back. I didn't expect a full refund, I was even willing to change the dates, but the good customer service is gone. Sun RV Resorts - at Jellystone Park. - coloradogram
Aug 2018 - $65.00
The entire campground is built on the sides of some hills. Dusty, rutted dirt roads lead up to unlevel dirt sites. Although dense, low trees provided privacy from other sites almost everywhere. Regardless Route 25 is continuously very noisy at all times of day and night. Bathrooms are clean but worn. Restrooms are scarce - you may have to walk possibly long distances up/down hill on uneven dirt roads at night to restrooms and showers. They'll "generously" rent you golf carts at $45-$55/day to ease the trip up and down hill to the pool and "ranger station". Camping with kids is the only reason to stay here unless you have to. Call for reservations because you may not get discounts, like Good Sam, when doing on-line. Once reservation made no discount is available. We stayed in the new section under construction. It seemed spacious but not appealing. - EVO_Bob
Aug 2018 - $77.00
This was the first time we visited, though we live less than an hour away. I wanted the experience to be a fun (rugged but comfortable) family camping experience - especially for our two 12-year-old grandsons who were going back to school the following week. It was wonderful and the daily calendar of activities provided some nice options for entertainment. We stayed in Yurt #2 and would highly recommend it. Sleeps 6 and has 1 dresser, 2 nightstands, 2 chairs, wicker shelf, 2 space heaters, 2 lamps (electricity for phone charging), broom/dust pan, concrete floors, roll-up canvas windows & crank-open dome for circulation + picnic table & fire pit (with grill rack). Great location, large lot private & serene (doe & her two fawns visited us), close to bath house and nearby pavilion which hosted several activities the youngsters participated in. Walking distance to pool, and trail. In fact, we opted to walk everywhere, rather than drive the short distances. We were told they are expanding the park to include more camp sites, nice dog park, rock climbing wall and water park - some completion in 2019. Exciting news. The park does need some spiffing up here-and-there, and it's camping - not glamping - so enjoy what is there, pack well and enjoy. Wished they provided "suggested list of items to bring" emailed with reservation confirmation because I hadn't been camping since I was a kid, but I over packed and got it right. :) BTW, queen sheets for the two beds work fine, even though one is a double bed. Brought twin sheets for the bunk beds but boys opted to use sleeping bags instead, which worked great. Some great memories for all of us and we look forward to doing it again next summer. Thursday arrival was peaceful, weekend got busy. P.S. Enjoyed flag raising & Pledge of Allegiance. Thanks!! - AmandaV

Jul 2013 - $17.00
We stayed in this park for 2 months and did enjoy our time there. There were some negative items, but will start with the positive. The creek was close by and a walking/biking trail close. The grass was maintained by the park and it was well shaded with mature trees. Shopping for anything you need is close by. The negatives: close to a busy highway, but that didn't bother us. Try to get a site away from the highway if you can. There were problems with sewer at times, but management promptly took care of that. The Denver area is extremely hard to find places to stay and so this was the best we found. Would stay again. People very friendly in the park. Price reflects monthly rate. Wi-Fi only available in the office. - happy travelers
Jun 2013 - $35.00
I stayed here for over a month. At first glance, this place looks shabby, and it has an inconvenient entrance/exit, but once you're there, you start to see it's actually a pretty decent place to stay. It's 20 min to downtown, about 45 min to Red Rocks and it butts up to Denver's amazing run/bike trail. - riding_on_air
Jul 2012 - $38.00
This is a former mobile home park. The park has lots of shade and level concrete pads to park on. The location is nice because it is next to the creek. However, the grounds could use some updating. I don't think anything has been updated here since it was first constructed 60 years ago. Price seemed a bit steep at $38. We were charged for four people even though we had only two adults and two children under two years old. Good Denver metro area location. Most people staying in the park are long-term residents. - je23dr13

Senior mobile home park with mostly permanent residents. There are about 15 transient sites. Site was small, but adequate. Restrooms and shower were Ok, but need paint and maintenance. - Wayne B41
Jul 2018 - $49.00
Location was good for us visiting family in the area. As others have stated, the speed bumps in the park are jarring. Our site was VERY tight, and there was a puddle of water to the rear left of the site. I suspect the puddle was from their sprinkler system leak. We parked our tow vehicle perpendicular to the RV in front, and had just enough room. This is essentially a mobile home park that has a limited number of sites for transients. We had no problems here, and it was pretty quiet during our 3 night stay. - novastorm
Jul 2018 - $66.00
I stayed at South Park twice in a two week period and I will NEVER stay there again.
A Walmart parking lot would be a much better place than here.
Both times I was treated rudely by the groundskeepers and swore at twice by them!
And, when I went to the office to ask for one more night they brought up my reservation on the office computer, then said..."Sorry, we are all booked up until next spring!"
So I said, "Well, I guess I have to leave in the morning.", to which the park manager said "Yup!"
Well, at my next stop the very next night I was looking at my paperwork and realized that I had indeed already paid for that night...but they just let me go and still haven't refunded me for the extra night they charged me for.
I have several friends that live there and have been told that since I left 3 1/2 weeks ago nobody has been in the site I was in both times.
The park is very nice, laundry facilities are good and the swimming pool is awesome, but the RV spaces are so close and tight to back into, plus there are cars and trucks parked in the street that makes backing into the sites even more difficult since the sites are barely long enough for the RV's, let alone the tow vehicle.
30 amp plug was loose and had to use a padlock to hold my surge protector plug from falling out. Found out later that it is against park rules to padlock the power pole.
Plus, the pool and laundry room closes at 8 pm...hardly enough time for travelers to take advantage of these amenities.
It is almost like they really don't want RV'ers to stop there...only year round residents! - John_D

This is a great place to stay in Denver. The sites are spacious and the pads are concrete. It has beautiful views of the mountains and very close to the PX and commissary. A little windy in the afternoons, so you have to keep an eye on your awning. - Raegirl2
Mar 2018 - $20.00
Roads are rather narrow to drive and turn. Most people end up driving through part of the dirt. Only nice thing is spots are spacious and the water has been fixed. There are no trees so I bet summers are really hot here. There's not a single thing for young kids to do, no playground or place to play. They end up running around all over. You can tell most people do not clean up after their pets including the camp hosts. The running track was nice to have close by for a morning run. We tried the commissary, but it was small, pricey and not well stocked. There's a Safeway not far down the road. Outdoor rec could do better with taking care of campgrounds in general. - Jay101st

We selected this park as it was close to family we were visiting. We experienced a nice surprise as we arrived...roads were dirt but easy to navigate. We thought our site 15, which was a curved pull through, was the best site in this small park. It was nestled into beautiful ponderosa pine trees and our view was away from all the RVs and looked out over a baseball field and meadow. No WiFi but our phone service was fine. A dump station is available at the entrance to the park. We would stay here again for sure! - Jackie thornton

It's O.K. for an overnight stay. Our lot was not level (in any direction), and others didn't look much better. Water pressure was good. - Limey51

Casey's RV Hide-A-Way's street address is 4189 Highway 86, Elizabeth, CO 80107. If coming from the west, you will pass thru the town and the last traffic signal will be Hwy 86 and CR 17. The turn into the CG will be your second left, the first left is the day use section of Casey's Park. The entrance is paved for a few feet in, but due to fairly deep erosion it is a tight turn. The dump station is before you reach the CG loop, a somewhat long narrow tear shaped loop. Large rigs might have trouble making the full loop as it is a pretty tight turn back into the loop. Odd numbered sites on on the outside of the loop and the even numbered sites are in the loop. The electric and water are both good and up to date. This CG is in a rustic setting (you won't see or hear any mowers around here) and works for a few nights. Most units cannot dump and get back into the CG loop without leaving the Park or backing back in. Cell and TV were both good. - Bob and Inga

Nice sites in a wilderness area in the middle of a city. The sites were nowhere near level and the water seemed to have oil in it. A good price for well spaced sites. - Thedogsma
Sep 2018 - $25.00
Convenient location close to Red Rocks amphitheater. No water or sewer hookups at sites. No wifi or cable TV, but AT&T cell reception was OK. Back-in site was large enough for our 40 ft fifth wheel, and did not have to unhitch. No trees for shade, but had a picnic table and a fire pit. Reasonable rates for what you get. - Wayne60
Aug 2018 - $20.00
A couple of things to note right off before you make a reservation here: 1) The sites are electric only. I think most, if not all, are 50 amp. 2) There are water spouts nearby, but you'll need a long hose if you want to fill from them. There is a water fill station on the opposite side of the campground from the entrance. 3) There are two dump stations that are easy to get into and out of, but seem to be busy often. The place is like an oasis in the middle of the city. The campground is nestled down between knolls, so you don't know you are in the city, unless you look really hard to the south to see a shopping center. It is barely visible as you can see the rooftops at night when their lights are on. The bike trails are fun to ride. It can be busy in the afternoon and weekends at the nearby lake, which has a nice sandy beach. - JazerNorth

If you are thinking of staying here after reading these reviews and wondering 'can it be that bad' or 'maybe it has changed' or 'wow there are a lot of picky people' - well you are wrong. Unfortunately I have a 7AM appointment for service on my RV or else we cannot continue our trip and this was the closest RV park with availability otherwise I would just drive away and forget about the 67 dollars it is costing us for the evening. It is dirty, rocky, not pleasant to look at. Twinned up with your neighbors door so no privacy. Literally a parking lot and dirt lot. Some sites have trees but the majority do not. Drove to the nearest grocery store, saw 4 cops patrolling, homeless people living in cart 'forts', teenage kids hanging around in the parking lot doing nothing (would like to say 'hoodlums' or 'gangs' but trying to give them the benefit of the doubt). So far the worst RV park I have ever stayed in, and hoping it stays that way. - rayzorben

The place is nothing but a big dog toilet, with rude hosts to make your stay even more miserable. Do yourself a favor a find somewhere else to stay. - Jonathan H
Sep 2017 - $49.00
Whilst not good, this was not the worst we have stayed in! You stay here due to the proximity to the city centre (7 miles) as there are no other parks around. We have friends who live 5 miles away so this was a very convenient location. VERY basic sites - water, electric, sewer. Our site was fairly wide pull-thru on a dirt surface. The people we dealt with were very nice and accommodating (had to get rid of wasps in power box!) NO wi-fi, NO cable but there are plenty of channels. $3 per wash!!! 25c per 5 mins for dryer! We stayed at the back end of the park where it was quite quiet even tho the light rail runs nearby. Reading other reviews, I think this park has been 'cleaned up' a lot with respect to permanents/security etc. Would stay here again if unable to get into State Park, (but just for convenience). - OzFrosty

Would not recommend. Nothing more than a parking lot. They turn off the water when it gets cold. They have picnic tables that they place on a hill. Water is every other site. No sewer. No trees. One shower facility. No other amenities. I have been to a number of fairgrounds and like this one the least. Their WiFi requires that you re-login frequently and blocked many sites (Netflix is a good example). Understandable with a large campground, but this one is very small. The wind comes off the mountain with no break. They have no trees or other shade. Don't show up at night unless you have support for backing in. It is pretty dim. - PeteAustin
Jul 2018 - $30.00
Location, location. Finding a spot in the Denver area is very hard. This park is near I70 and U.S. 6. Easy to get to most attractions. Tight spaces and a lot of turnover. Very nice picnic area and playground. Odd requirements to register. You must show proof of ins. and regist. for all vehicles. There are gravel pull throughs long enough for most rvs and nearby tow vehicle parking. A downside is little physical security. Park is open at night with no gate. Sheriff patrols occasionally. We had no problems but would have preferred more controls. Limited 50A sites. We would stay here again. - captaincakes
Jun 2018 - $30.00
Fairly quiet location. Sites are close together so if you have a bunch of slides on both sides and use your awning you aren't going to be happy. Level gravel site. - mrracechaser
