We enjoyed the one night we were able to stay. The views were great. The sunset was incredible from this location and it was good for exploration of Grand Mesa. We were also impressed by the little cafe and the improvements that were going on in this older RV Park. - 1st-vvshack
Jul 2013 - $32.00
Site is on the highway, but noise was not a problem. The pads were had very loose coarse gravel, which made getting the trailer level a chore. There was an issue with power at the site. The main breaker for the campsite tripped and the gentleman working the store reset it. There was no camp host on site, so when the breaker tripped several more times we had to reset it. One camper had to leave because he had a family member with a medical condition that required electrical hookup. Shower and bath were clean. Doubt I would stay here again because of the electrical issue and the pads. - Mgtann

This is a lovely park with mature shade trees by a creek overlooking a beautiful meadow. The owners live in front of the small park (17 sites) and are delightful. They just hosted a 4th of July bbq for all of us! Right in the center of the small town of Cederedge, this park is the perfect location for visiting Grand Mesa and nearby wineries. It is a friendly, clean, well-kept park! We'll stay again. - Jackie Cederbaum
Oct 2017 - $14.00
Overall, it was a fairly good stay. The park was creek side, and the area was indeed full of shade trees, mainly cottonwoods. I was in my 40 foot Bighorn fiver, so I didn't use any of the restrooms. It is a smaller park in town, but the sites were adequate in size. I had plenty of room in my site, others weren't so blessed. The park is at 6100 feet elevation on the side of the Grand Mesa, and the trees help to keep it cooler. I stayed here for an entire spring/summer/fall season, 6 months. It is a good park to stage out of to check out the Mesa. The rent was $425 a month, for a none-creek site, plus electric, 14 cents per kilowatt hour. The have one washer and dryer in the laundry room, and they work well, with reasonable rates. I have never seen so many deer in all of my life as there was around this park. They are town deer and they come right into your back yard by the creek. You will see them in town, walking down the middle of the street in Cedaredge. They have some small stores there in town, but the bigger stores are 13 miles away in Delta. So much for the goodies, now the down side. First, the cottonwoods in the park. The whole entire time that I was there, 6 months, there was a constant rain of sap coming off the trees. If you prize the finish on your car, or RV, then be prepared. Hardened beads of sap got on everything. It took 70% rubbing alcohol to remove it off the finish. I had to do this several times during my stay, and it was a real drag on my King Ranch. Nice shady trees for sure, but at what cost in labor to maintain your vehicles. A cover for your vehicle would be a real plus. Also, when it starts to get windy there, it will scare the crap out of you. Those same cottonwoods, which are really tall, start swaying violently, and dropping small limbs all over everything. Second, the wifi and phone service is absolutely horrible! I had Verizon for both, and it was pathetic for everyone there. ATT and Sprint was just as bad. - Kerry W

Hosts are very friendly & helpful. Small campground, very clean. Lovely creek in back of us. We intended to stay a few days & ended up staying 9, we liked it so much! Our favorite spot so far; will definitely come back! The WiFi was not the best, but adequate for our needs. - Retirerees

Still my favorite CG on the Grand Mesa. This is one of only two CGs on the Mesa that has cellular service. No camp host here to harass you about ridiculous rules. And it's rustic, more like "real" camping the way it used to be. See my review from last year. Still unmaintained and the hole in the entrance road is getting worse. Supposedly they are going to fix the water line this year. Bring mosquito repellent. - Old Mountain Man
Aug 2016 - $6.00
A little-used campground less than a mile up the highway from Jumbo campground, and where Jumbo sends people when they are full. No water in 2016 because a rock fell on the line; maybe they'll fix it some day but this campground has seen NO maintenance in years and is deteriorating. Sad, because it is nice. Lots of pull-thrus, some nearly level and some awful. All sites are shaded with tall trees. Gourmet mushrooms grow in this campground in season, also wild strawberries and raspberries. - Old Mountain Man

One of the nicer USFS campgrounds on the Grand Mesa. For one thing, you don't have to drive for miles on rough road to get here; the entrance is off of a paved highway. Unfortunately, the State of Colorado made the Forest Service turn off the water, and you have to drive to Jumbo Campground to get water. No sewer available anywhere on the Grand Mesa. All but two sites are shaded and several will take a big rig but watch for branches. Sites are gravel/dirt, some easily leveled some not. Several hiking trails including a short one over to the Forest Service Visitor Center on the other side of the lake. Reasonably quiet except that the regional manager lives there and generates a lot of traffic. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will be back. - Old Mountain Man

The CG is just above 10,000 feet so if you're not accustomed to this elevation you best be aware of the issues of dealing with it. The lake is great for fishing and has a nice boat ramp. The CG has been around for a good while, but was basically remodeled just two years ago. The sites are generous, but gravel, as is the road into and through the park. The Nat'l forest info/visitor center is about 2-3 miles from this campground (there are several campgrounds in this specific area). At this specific CG only the first 9 sites have electric (ours didn't). The campground host was the nicest man you'd ever meet (we spent about an hour talking to him). This area is good for people that like to fish and mountain camping. It's a climb getting up to this area and a long decline going down, but the roads are good. There are some fruit farms in the Cedaredge area (south of this campground) & we pick up some cherries heading to the campground. We would definitely camp here again, but would prefer an electric site if we went back. Some of the high numbered sites have great views to the south, but no electric at those sites. - Parrothead Mike

Great place to stay, but you will be roughing it. Not to mention the last 6 or so miles of road is a really rough gravel road. You are just a short walk from cottonwood lake or a half mile hike to lilly lake. Great place to trout fish, hike, or bike. This campground is at about 10,000 feet, not a lot of people due to the elevation, no hookups, and the roads to get there. If you want peace and quiet this is for you. - stracker

The park is kept clean and employees are helpful. The pool area, restrooms, showers, dog run are clean. The owners obviously put a lot of work in the upkeep of the park. It appeared to have mostly long-term residents but they were friendly and the areas around their rig kept clean. The only downside was the infrequent train that came past. This didn't disturb us. - Ridgewood
Aug 2017 - $30.00
Very Clean park, buy 6 nights, get seventh free. Good wifi , water pressure, electric and sewer. Old KOA camp so spots are close. But not too close. Owners and staff professional and very friendly and courteous. Lots of seasonals in here. Park is very clean. spots are raked and watered as soon as someone vacates. We would stay here again. Convenient to shopping. - Jim Lee

Riverwood is a combination hotel and RV park. It's an older establishment, but well maintained. The majority of the park is permanent residents, a few of which were quite messy. The evenings were quiet with the exception of some road noise. Most, if not all, of the spots are back-in. The staff was very friendly and even guided us to our spot and helped back us in. Occasionally, there was a slight hint of sewer odor. We would stay there again, if we could get a spot away from the restroom and highway. - Clayhammer
Dec 2012 - $30.00
The young man that assisted us was very nice. We were the only Overnighter in the park, the rest of the park was Full Timers. Most of the RV's appear that they had been here for some time. A few sites were doubled up, some sites needed to be cleaned up a little. The park was very quiet, everything worked just fine. It was easy in and easy out. - sidbartello

Lots of permanent rigs at this campground. Some shade trees, but it was very hot here in August. Full hook-ups, cable TV. An OK overnight spot. Definitely nothing fancy. - billb1959

Run by a very nice Swiss couple. I stayed here with my dog. I was extremley pleased with the CG. Other residents were friendly and helpful. They have their own propane fill station. I didn't use either the separate bath or laundry facilities, but I snuck a peek and they were very clean and each site is issued a key during check-in. I fully intend to stay here in the future. - hank h
Jun 2011 - $26.00
We stayed here one night as we were passing through visiting family in Delta. There are a lot of full-timers here and a lot of the campground is pretty run down. Bathrooms and showers were okay. I think it's the best choice in town, but would not choose to stay here if we had another choice. Office staff was very nice. Short walk to view the river. - jonkat+2
Sep 2009 - $27.00
An older park. The bathrooms/showers appeared to be clean, but the building is old. Cable TV worked well. Wi-Fi is dependent on the site. Mine worked but was a little slow. The lady in the office was very nice. I stayed here 2 nights. - gottacruise

This RV park is in Hotchkiss, CO... not Delta. One of only three places to park an RV in Hotchkiss. The other two being a tiny RV park behind a Convenience store and the other being the county fairgrounds. Pets are welcome but no fenced pet walk. Mostly long term renters, but we were given a nice pull thru spot with 50 amp and water facing their lovely large lawn. Town, grocery, gas, hardware, etc is less than a mile away. The hosts are a very nice young couple, new owners, and eager to please. The shower/laundry appeared newly remodeled and clean. There is no playground only a frisbee golf course... they sell propane and have a dump station if needed... Overall the best place to park/stay in Hotchkiss, nice views, quiet and if you don't need a lot of extras.. perfect. - Miaoreo
