This is a RV parking lot. Spaces are about 12/14 feet wide. About 75% permanent residents. To close to highway 24. You hear all kinds of noise all day and night. It is in the middle of town, so there are a lot of good places to eat close by. It is not a campground. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed there for a weekend get away, were very disappointed the RV sites are barely big enough to get into, if you have a big rig it is nearly impossible, all sites are back in. There are no amenities, you cannot even call it an RV Park, it is a parking lot. Don't bother its not worth it. Couldn't connect to WIFI at all. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Well this is a ungraded gravel parking lot. Where they pack RVs in like sardines. My bad I didn’t check reviews before we came. The old man in the office is very rude. Cannot connect to their wi fi. Our site faced the back of an O’Riley store. They called it a premium site when we made the reservation. My tip is find another RV park in Colorado Springs. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

A small RV park along Rt 24 between Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. This makes it convenient to local attractions. The park is right off 24 so there is constant loud traffic noise. Sites are extremely close, yet they squeeze large motorhomes and 5th wheels in. Slides almost go post to post - there is no outside living space at all, rather hardly room to walk between rigs. Restrooms are clean. However, the multiple showers use one or two common dressing stalls where clothing and personal items must be kept together if others are showering. This is a last resort campground when there are no other options. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Camped here in 2015 because we didn't know any better. Camped here in 2017 because every other CG within 20 miles of the city was booked. First Impression: Pictures on the CG's web site are extremely misleading. This is a small, old, uninspiring, very cramped CG. Safety: Surrounded by residential communities. We took security precautions. Access: Take US-24 west from I-25 to 26th street. Turn left then another immediate left behind O'Reillys auto parts. CG sign visible from US-24. Garmin GPS is accurate. Office: Friendly staff. No store. Credit cards accepted. Online reservations not available. Good Sam price discount. Facilities: No pool, spa, fitness room, or rec center. Small, clean laundry room with all new equipment. Restrooms/showers slightly dated but clean however small with minimal shower privacy (score "B"). No propane sales. No playground. No off-leash dog run. Campground: Not in a flood plain. No storm shelter. Moderately wooded. Interior road is narrow, gravel with tight, sharp turns around large trees; no overhead obstacles. Very challenging for big rigs and coaches. No tent area, yurts, or cabins. Sites are all packed, slide-to-slide, level, gravel, pull-through and back-in, no landscaping. Utilities at mid-rig with FHU-20/30/50; metered for monthly. Adequate water pressure with good taste. Sewer pipe is 4" threaded, about 3-4" above ground level. No patios. "Ok" picnic tables for some sites. No room for fires (or BBQ grills for that matter). Poor satellite views (trees). Free cable TV (24 channels). Free Wi-Fi with good coverage and bandwidth. Verizon phone at 5 bars; 4G at 4 bars. No recycle bins. Noise: CG sits beside US-24, a major, 4-lane highway. Traffic is continual and loud with notable exhaust odors during rush hour. No railroad, aircraft, or interstate noise. Bug Report (early August): large red ants. Runners: CG road not suitable for running. Consider using community roads. Yoga: no place to put your mat. Conclusion: Score 3-Poor. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is weekly for premium back in site. All sites are gravel and very narrow. Sites 20-26 are long back in sites far enough away from street to avoid some of the street noise. Site 20 was long enough for 43 foot fifth wheel and just wide enough to park truck and 3 wheel motorcycle in front of fifth wheel. Some of the back sites are along major highway 24 and very noisy. Cable worked and new WIFI was good. Good water and electric. Campground is close to restaurants and shopping in Old Colorado City and not far from Garden of the Gods. Staff friendly and helpful. Sites are narrow but this park was full during our stay. We would look elsewhere if visiting Colorado Springs. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed for a week on the way up to WY. Dichotomy here is that the location of the park is awesome if you love to do things in the outdoors. People are sweet and helpful and there are even complimentary newspapers. However, it is the ugliest RV park we have ever stayed at. Also, most spaces were small and very near each other. Right on highway 34 it was also very noisy. We did feel the proximity to great hiking, places like Cheyenne Mountain and Garde of the Gods was worth puttin up with the negatives for a week. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very bad gravel lot with FHU's. After getting our site we were told, "swing wide to miss the large tree". As we maneuvered through the jammed park, the very large tree was at the rear of our site and I had to ask a resident to move his car so I could get into the site. I had to stop, disconnect my toad, and then spent 15 minutes maneuvering the MH to get even partially into the site. Shared utilities are not cool. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Motorhome.

Drive on to another RV park. This park is adjacent to the highway with "lots" of noise. Stay here if you want to be frustrated about scraping the sides of your rig. Not worth the stop. Never again.

What a dump. This place needs a complete overhaul. This is not an RV park, it's a parking lot with hookups. The pull thru sites are not really pull thru, they are just spots out in the middle of the lot and you just basically pull in and hope you are in correctly. The sites are made for travel trailers, not modern day RV's. The lady at the front counter, when we checked in, was totally rude and didn't even acknowledge me for several minutes and didn't say hello, welcome, etc. Seemed as if she really didn't want to be there. We had a horrible time getting our 40' fifth wheel into the really small space and had to make sure our slides didn't hit the utility box and water spout. Would not recommend this RV park to anyone unless you have a small travel trailer, then I would be leery of staying here. Lots of clutter, trash, overgrowth, old trailers, etc. Just awful. The pictures online look nothing like the park. Very deceiving. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

As others have said, it is basically a gravel parking lot with FHU. No ambiance and no space between rigs. WiFi was unusable. Unfortunately this is all we could find with space for the time we were here visiting family. We will not stay here again. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Warning! Drive the extra miles.

Spots are next to each other; your door opens to the next Rv. The slide outs are almost touching. Gravel parking lot next to busy highway. The wifi does not work; office tells u to keep trying. Cable is working.

Not worth the $$. If the driver is not an excellent driver, you won't get in. Do not recommend. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

As others have said, all sites are extremely small (we have seen none smaller in the lower 48), and probably in violation of the local fire code. Fortunately, other visitors were very cooperative and reasonably considerate with parking vehicles and rigs. Of course it only takes on Jerk to mess things up. Convenient location is really the only attribute of this park. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gravel lot where 50 sites plus vehicle parking have been squeezed in. Sites are very close together. Neighbor's door is about 2 feet from my slide out. Road noise from Hwy 24 is very loud. No picnic tables or sitting outside, as there is NO room. We had a pull-through. Not sure how the big bus and 40 ft fifth wheel that parked next to us got in. Close to Garden of the Gods, Historical Colorado Springs and other sites. WiFi was spotty. Cable TV was fine. This worked for us as we were gone most of the day visiting family. Stayed here for 3 nights. Would not stay here again. This place has survived because it has a good location. Traffic is heavy on this section of Highway 24. We arrived in pouring rain so that set the mood to start I guess. Manager was very friendly but I had to think how I was going to get my rig into that little space unable to see in the rain... I got it in but boy was it tight! Literally with the slides out, you could pass the sugar bowl to your neighbor. The lot is gravel, loud road noise all night. No table or even space for one if you brought your own. Dog run is tiny and un-kept. Walked our dog through the post office area and near the auto parts store. Wifi did not work, we had our own. Satellite would come and go because of trees and rain, used local antenna channels. The park is ideally located though. Close to everything. As the wife said, we don't plan to live here. We rarely spent anytime at the RV park as most others didn't also. So much to see. We would stay here again. We camped at Goldfield RV Park in a Motorhome.
