Beautiful campground nestled in the woods. Very quiet and peaceful. Roads are gravel and red dirt, which is what you get in Colorado. Staff very friendly and helpful. Weekend breakfasts very good. Had rain one day, causing some flooding in the street which dried up quickly, and staff were very attentive of leveling any ruts. WiFi good; cable good; no phone service. Water pressure was fine during our stay. About 30 minutes to Cañon City or Colorado Springs. Easy drive on Highway 115. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fun Gondola ride at Royal Gorge Bridge in Cañon City. Don't bother going to Broadmoor Seven Falls. You need to take a shuttle ($17 pp) and the waterfalls were not anything special. Took the trolley ($17 pp) tour in Garden of Gods which was very good. Excellent lunch in Old Colorado City at Jake and Tellys Taverna, an authentic Greek restaurant.

Very nice park in the foothills of Colorado Springs. It has a rustic feel with frequent sightings of deer in the park. The sites were spacious with enough room for our 40' motorhome and toad and plenty of room left over to use the picnic table and fire ring. Wifi worked. 50 amp power and sewer worked well. The area is under drought restrictions and they are hauling water in for the campers and they ask to please limit your water use. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is approximately 30 minutes from the main areas of Colorado Springs in a rural area off of Highway 1 1 5. Exceptionally large well landscaped sites with a large rock base are available. Our site was 40 by 70 and contained a large number of trees and shrubs which gave it a private feeling. Many of the sites are terraced which gives you privacy for your well placed utility hook up from the neighbors. There is a nice fenced dirt dog yard as well as a partial perimeter path along the park to walk dogs. While we did not participate they have ice cream socials and other events on a frequent basis. The major downside to the park, and the only reason we did not give it a 10, is that it sits on a road which has a quarry at the end. During the week large semis moved constantly up and down the road from 06 30 until about 5 p.m. Sites further back in the park might not have had quite the noise that was created by heavy traffic. Cable television was adequate though some of the channels were fuzzy. The provided free internet worked well. Both Verizon and AT&T had limited service until closer to Colorado Springs.. Mlm. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Large, level sites with lots of trees gave you the feeling you were camping in a state campground. We arrived after the office closed but were met at the entrance and guided to our site. The staff was great and helped us get backed in and set up quickly. 50 amp power was stable and good, water pressure was 55 psi, dump port convenient. OTA TV is non-existent. Cellular and hotspot signals are non-existent. The park WiFi was decent. Their cable TV however was pretty awful. The picture on most channels (lower ones especially) was very grainy and fluctuated from bad to worse. All things considered, it was a minor inconvenience and forced us to enjoy the beauty of the area instead. Deer wandered thru regularly and a turkey called out to us one morning. The campground was very clean and well organized. With trails available, hot-tub, playground and a small game room there's something for everyone. We really enjoyed our stay and will come back again. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is AMAZING! We stayed here for a short weekend getaway. When we arrived we were met and guided to our space. We didn't bring a tow vehicle, and forgot a few items, which we were thrilled to find they had in the well stocked camp store. They offer movie night and waffle breakfast. This is a family park and you can tell. The best part for us was the wildlife. We were greeted by a heard of deer. We loved our stay and will for sure be back!! This is one of those parks that is worth the price. Our pad was a little too short to leave the TV hooked up but was as wide as 2 "Normal" CG pad sites, parking was ample. The gravel pad needed about an inch of leveling. Although the surface was gravel there was no dust or dirt to track in the 5th. We were escorted to our site and assisted in backing in. Very quiet at night. Mornings and evenings the wildlife was out. Turkey being the most common that I witnessed although the morn we left I counted 9 mule-ear doe and as many turkey. It is a bit out of town, about half way between Colo Springs and Canyon (Canon) City but the quiet was very nice. The Bride rates this CG and Lazy Days in Tucson as her favorites. This is a PA park but there are many exclusions and our stay didn't qualify. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very very nice campground. Helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful, well maintained flower planters throughout. Cell coverage bad, except near the office, or I would have given it a 10. We did make calls from the very comfortable lounge. Also did laundry in the immaculate laundry room. Saw deer and wild turkeys. It's a little far from Colorado Springs, but a nice drive. Mountaindale is a keeper and highly recommended. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Mountaindale is somewhat remote, as it is about 20 minutes south of Colorado Springs and 2 miles off Hwy 115. Cell service is horrible, but placing the phone in WiFi-calling modes helps. WiFi comes and goes, but our second site had the transmitter on our site, so no issues at all. The Saturday night ice cream social and Sunday morning waffle breakfast are wonderful for only $1. There's plenty of wildlife that strolls through the park (deer, wild turkeys, and black bears were all on our site). Some of the sites are very well shaded and others not so much. Water pressure was good, cable reception was fuzzy. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in site 21 and site 28 (pull-thru) and like all of the sites we viewed in our 5 day stay they had plenty of space, shade, picnic table and fire ring. Very secluded location about 2 miles off of CO 115 and very quiet and easy drive to Colorado Springs and Canon City. Laundry was great with 4 washers/dryers. The management/ownership has put a lot of effort into the property and it shows with plantings everywhere and the sites immaculate. The only downside I see possible is the lack of cell service and rocky surface everywhere but the wifi was the best we have experienced as full timers. We would definitely come back. This park is out in the country. My husband spent some time fishing. The Arkansas River is not too far away and there are nice ponds just a few miles down the road. It is a bit of a haul into Colorado Springs, although we went into town several times. If you want a beautiful quiet place out in the country, this is it.

About 45 minutes from the Royal Gorge Railway which is a fun trip. Rapids/rafting is nearby also. Nearest Safeway grocery story is about 20 minutes away. There's a interesting one way drive near the prison in Canon City. Hard to find, but worth it, look for an archway on the far side of town on the north side. Phantom Ranch road was closed due to spring flooding, but its supposed to be a great drive if you have a jeep or similar vehicle.

We have been going here for years there is so much to see and do we still haven't completed everything on our wish list. The list grows a little each year.

too many things in the area to list, but don't miss Pike's Peak and Cripple Creek.

Colorado Springs is about 15 miles from the resort. From there you can adventure out to all sorts of sightseeing locations.

You're probably about 9-10 miles out from some restaurants, etc if you want to go somewhere to eat/shop.

Colorado Springs has become SO commercialized and crowded it's no longer a great destination. The Flying W Chuck Wagon dinners are a thing of the past, the Garden of the Gods is now in a residential section of town, and traffic is miserable. Sorry!

Park is located about halfway between Pikes Peak and the Royal Gorge, so it's good location for sight seeing.

Get hiking nearby - Drive to Helen Hunt Falls and hike on to Silver Cascade Falls. Next, stop by the Mt. Cutler trail and hike to a beautiful view of the Seven Falls. These are easy to moderate hikes and are good hikes to help you adjust to the altitude. We also recommend Garden of the Gods which you can view driving or hiking. The Air Force Academy tour was very good and we also had a great time taking backroads with our four wheel drive toad.

It's about 15 miles south of Colorado Springs, Co. And about an equal distance drive in any direction to the many local attractions. Pike's peak, Royal Gorge etc.
