Sep 2018 - $45.00
Senior mobile home park with mostly permanent residents. There are about 15 transient sites. Site was small, but adequate. Restrooms and shower were Ok, but need paint and maintenance. - Wayne B41
Jul 2018 - $49.00
Location was good for us visiting family in the area. As others have stated, the speed bumps in the park are jarring. Our site was VERY tight, and there was a puddle of water to the rear left of the site. I suspect the puddle was from their sprinkler system leak. We parked our tow vehicle perpendicular to the RV in front, and had just enough room. This is essentially a mobile home park that has a limited number of sites for transients. We had no problems here, and it was pretty quiet during our 3 night stay. - novastorm

I stayed at South Park twice in a two week period and I will NEVER stay there again.
A Walmart parking lot would be a much better place than here.
Both times I was treated rudely by the groundskeepers and swore at twice by them!
And, when I went to the office to ask for one more night they brought up my reservation on the office computer, then said..."Sorry, we are all booked up until next spring!"
So I said, "Well, I guess I have to leave in the morning.", to which the park manager said "Yup!"
Well, at my next stop the very next night I was looking at my paperwork and realized that I had indeed already paid for that night...but they just let me go and still haven't refunded me for the extra night they charged me for.
I have several friends that live there and have been told that since I left 3 1/2 weeks ago nobody has been in the site I was in both times.
The park is very nice, laundry facilities are good and the swimming pool is awesome, but the RV spaces are so close and tight to back into, plus there are cars and trucks parked in the street that makes backing into the sites even more difficult since the sites are barely long enough for the RV's, let alone the tow vehicle.
30 amp plug was loose and had to use a padlock to hold my surge protector plug from falling out. Found out later that it is against park rules to padlock the power pole.
Plus, the pool and laundry room closes at 8 pm...hardly enough time for travelers to take advantage of these amenities.
It is almost like they really don't want RV'ers to stop there...only year round residents! - John_D

We stayed in this park for 2 months and did enjoy our time there. There were some negative items, but will start with the positive. The creek was close by and a walking/biking trail close. The grass was maintained by the park and it was well shaded with mature trees. Shopping for anything you need is close by. The negatives: close to a busy highway, but that didn't bother us. Try to get a site away from the highway if you can. There were problems with sewer at times, but management promptly took care of that. The Denver area is extremely hard to find places to stay and so this was the best we found. Would stay again. People very friendly in the park. Price reflects monthly rate. Wi-Fi only available in the office. - happy travelers
Jun 2013 - $35.00
I stayed here for over a month. At first glance, this place looks shabby, and it has an inconvenient entrance/exit, but once you're there, you start to see it's actually a pretty decent place to stay. It's 20 min to downtown, about 45 min to Red Rocks and it butts up to Denver's amazing run/bike trail. - riding_on_air
Jul 2012 - $38.00
This is a former mobile home park. The park has lots of shade and level concrete pads to park on. The location is nice because it is next to the creek. However, the grounds could use some updating. I don't think anything has been updated here since it was first constructed 60 years ago. Price seemed a bit steep at $38. We were charged for four people even though we had only two adults and two children under two years old. Good Denver metro area location. Most people staying in the park are long-term residents. - je23dr13

Oct 2018 - $30.00
This park is great. We stayed in the D loop again, which is perfect for larger rigs. Since the park is under construction due to their plan to raise the level of the reservoir, we had to go in the east entrance, but it's closer to the campground anyway so that wasn't a problem. Like several other Colorado state parks, this dam and reservoir are managed by the COE, while the park areas are managed by the state. D loop has full hookups until November, when they shut the water off for the winter. The other loops are really nice, but not big enough for us. We stayed in three different spots because we booked too late to get a long stint in the same space, but that was ok. The site we were in had a cancellation during a snow event that was coming up, so we didn't have to move. That was a plus! We like this park and will always put it at the top of the list when we come back to visit family in our old city of residence. We get the annual pass, which covers admission to ALL of the state parks, and is well worth the price. - Denise and Glenn
Oct 2018 - $33.00
Price reflects camping only. There is also a daily access for of $8. Annual passes are available to cover the daily fee if you are a frequent state park camper. I have a lifetime pass that I paid a lot for but they refused to honor it because circumstances caused me to move out of state. I was disappointed that apparently lifetime does not really mean lifetime so my camping really cost me $41 per day. Check in was a little chaotic as numerous campers arrived at about the same time with only one check in station. That being said, the park is very nice with plenty of space between camping sites. OTA TV produced numerous channels. Can pick up Wi-Fi near the restroom facilities. Interior roads are blacktop and sites are level concrete slabs. Picnic table on small patio and fire ring at each site. Sites are cleaned by campground host after each departure. - Bobco
Sep 2018 - $39.00
We enjoyed our stay here. We had a nice pull through with nice space between other campers and had lots of places to walk the dogs. There are bunny rabbits everywhere so have a good leash. There is construction in the area, they are raising the level of the lake. Its really going to be a summer hot spot. Make reservations early the locals book the weekends far in advance. We will stay here again. Littleton is a nice little town. - Davidsons

Oct 2018 - $25.00
Nice sites in a wilderness area in the middle of a city. The sites were nowhere near level and the water seemed to have oil in it. A good price for well spaced sites. - Thedogsma
Sep 2018 - $25.00
Convenient location close to Red Rocks amphitheater. No water or sewer hookups at sites. No wifi or cable TV, but AT&T cell reception was OK. Back-in site was large enough for our 40 ft fifth wheel, and did not have to unhitch. No trees for shade, but had a picnic table and a fire pit. Reasonable rates for what you get. - Wayne60
Aug 2018 - $20.00
A couple of things to note right off before you make a reservation here: 1) The sites are electric only. I think most, if not all, are 50 amp. 2) There are water spouts nearby, but you'll need a long hose if you want to fill from them. There is a water fill station on the opposite side of the campground from the entrance. 3) There are two dump stations that are easy to get into and out of, but seem to be busy often. The place is like an oasis in the middle of the city. The campground is nestled down between knolls, so you don't know you are in the city, unless you look really hard to the south to see a shopping center. It is barely visible as you can see the rooftops at night when their lights are on. The bike trails are fun to ride. It can be busy in the afternoon and weekends at the nearby lake, which has a nice sandy beach. - JazerNorth

Jan 2019 - $41.00
We stayed here for 3 nights while passing through on our way to Breckenridge for skiing. This was a great location for shopping for ski gear. There was a lot of snow at the campground which was so pretty, and only the Abilene loop was open in January. It was great to have full hookups at a state park. The sites in the Abilene loop are spacious. The camp hosts were so friendly and we enjoyed talking with them. We would definitely stay here again if in the Denver area. Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile all worked well. - Love2Camp777
Oct 2018 - $38.00
I could stay here for months. This 4,000 acre park is an oasis in Denver. Beautiful trees and green spaces make this one of the best parks we have ever stayed at. We had a big pull through site with full hookups and 50 amp power. They have WiFi which is hit or miss, but the fact that a state park has WiFi tells you how much effort they have put into the campground area of this park. If you can get a reservation here, stay as long as you can and make great memories by the campfire with your family. - Undivided Nation
Sep 2018 - $30.00
We started our full-timing journey in the Denver area, and this park was a God-send at that time, and it is still one of our favorites. It's in the middle of a major metropolitan area, and as such it is very popular with people who LIVE here. As with other popular places, you need to plan ahead, or take what you can get. We stayed in four different sites during the 13 nights we were here, and had to get in line to wait for a cancellation for the weekend and fortunately got one. Weekends are booked almost as soon as they're available to be reserved, especially in the popular summer and fall months. Bathrooms and showers are clean. The park is huge and has miles of paved bike trails that are also great for walking. The beaches were closed as we got there too late in the season for warm enough weather for the water, but you can still go boating. The park is huge, and requires funds to maintain. It's an old COE park and is well-laid-out for larger vehicles, and also has a section for tenters. Buy an annual pass, it's good for a year's admission to ALL of the Colorado state parks, and it's well worth the money to support these gems. We've visited several CO parks and haven't been disappointed yet. They do a great job maintaining spaces for Coloradans to enjoy their beautiful state, and really show off to visitors what all the fuss is about. We'll be back. - Denise and Glenn

Dec 2018 - $40.00
Would not recommend. Nothing more than a parking lot. They turn off the water when it gets cold. They have picnic tables that they place on a hill. Water is every other site. No sewer. No trees. One shower facility. No other amenities. I have been to a number of fairgrounds and like this one the least. Their WiFi requires that you re-login frequently and blocked many sites (Netflix is a good example). Understandable with a large campground, but this one is very small. The wind comes off the mountain with no break. They have no trees or other shade. Don't show up at night unless you have support for backing in. It is pretty dim. - PeteAustin
Jul 2018 - $30.00
Location, location. Finding a spot in the Denver area is very hard. This park is near I70 and U.S. 6. Easy to get to most attractions. Tight spaces and a lot of turnover. Very nice picnic area and playground. Odd requirements to register. You must show proof of ins. and regist. for all vehicles. There are gravel pull throughs long enough for most rvs and nearby tow vehicle parking. A downside is little physical security. Park is open at night with no gate. Sheriff patrols occasionally. We had no problems but would have preferred more controls. Limited 50A sites. We would stay here again. - captaincakes
Jun 2018 - $30.00
Fairly quiet location. Sites are close together so if you have a bunch of slides on both sides and use your awning you aren't going to be happy. Level gravel site. - mrracechaser

Oct 2018 - $76.00
Our site had quite an angle to it. We needed to use blocks to level the trailer side to side. The park is relatively quiet and has a connecting trail to local open space for nice walks with great views of Denver. Staff were friendly and helpful. The park was clean. WiFi was satisfactory and Verizon worked. TV reception was poor. It seemed rather expensive for what we had. - Dreaming
Oct 2018 - $65.00
Overpriced for the amenities in the park. We arrived at 11:45 and were assessed a 25 dollar fee for early arrival. Moving out and sitting at a large parking lot was not easy to accomplish, so they had us stuck. Couldn't leave as they collect a 50 percent non refundable deposit. This park has a world class set of rules and owners that are very clear to the staff that they are not to be bent or broken. Staff seemed to understand that this park has not been subject to good review, but their "hands were tied". We had an escort to our site who disappeared before I started pulling in to the site. Sites are small, leaving little or no room to park our toad, we have a 36 foot motor home, I can't imagine what a larger rig would do. Needless to say, this visit will be our last at this park. I hope that the owners of this park don't buy any others. - Uncle Joseph
Oct 2018 - $54.00
We stayed here because I was booking at the last minute and the local parks were full. We paid the peak season rate even though the pool and hot tub were closed. There's a lot of traffice noise from several highways surrounding it. The shower was one of the best I've had with individual rooms, good pressure and temperature regulation. Our site was level but difficult to wiggle our 25' View into. A nice park but a bit pricey. There's a path up to a big grassy area to run dogs. - Thedogsma

Jul 2015 - $30.00
The spaces in this park are very narrow & no space to park tow. My slide was almost touching my neighbor. Couldn't open awning because of closeness. Roads are very narrow & poorly maintained. Many old RV's with people living in them. Have 33 ft. rig & had difficulty getting in spot because of cars parked part way in road. Broke passenger mirror because of this issue. In addition, I did not feel safe here. I am a Thousand Trails platinum limited member & will contact them about my concerns, misleading pictures, & representation of this park. - vickie438
Jul 2015 - $35.00
Nothing fancy here, cramped sites, some paved, some gravel. A good sized laundry room that isn't cleaned very often. Nice neighbors, mostly long term residents. No trees, and the grassy areas are marked to keep dogs off. There is a dog walk area. One of several not very destination-like RV parks in the Denver area. The staff is nice. - WanderingWraith
Sep 2014 - $34.00
This was a place to park for a couple of nights. It did have full hookups, but other than that, I can't say much for this place. The sites are so closely jammed together that there isn't room to put your awning out. Dog walk is quite a hike from most RV spaces, and is just a gravel area. Signs at every grassy area warning you to keep your dogs off the grass. I saw a WiFi antenna on top of the laundry building, but could not access the WiFi without signing up and paying, which I don't do. I would not stay here again. - gfs1943

Oct 2018 - $42.00
This park is located on I-70 about 10 miles west of downtown Denver. It has gravel driveways and site pads, well covered with gravel meaning no dust. We had a pull through site with full hook ups, 50amp electric. The WiFi was excellent. The bathroom/shower were good and kept clean. It's kind of an odd arrangement in that you get a key to one of the 7 or 8 restroom/shower combinations. At any rate, nothing super special here but a good solid experience. We paid $41.80 per night. - Coopsecondact
Sep 2018 - $42.00
This park is basically a gravel parking lot with no extra frills, but it worked well for us. Our space was pull thru, fairly easy to get in and out, and nice gravel. We had full hook ups but we had to run the electric cord and the water hose under the rig to the hook ups on the opposite side. The sewer was on the correct side. They had free WIFI but it seldom worked. The women in the office was very nice. We used the public transportation to go into Denver and the bus stop was very close (maybe a block). There was a lake next door with walking paths. - JackieD
Sep 2018 - $40.00
We were going to stay three nights, but left after two. The office was closed Sunday and Monday so couldn't get number for the laundry room, and I had laundry to do.They had a paper with our site number on it and that's it. No number for the laundry, restroom or shower. The sites are roomy, and the roads are wide. People raced thru here not paying attention to the speed limit. Dogs barked all the time. - Sheila Rosson

Aug 2006 - $31.00
I cannot believe this place. We reserved it because it is billed as the only RV Park in the city of Denver. We wanted to be close to downtown, so visit the mint, and museums. Although the park itself is reasonably clean, the neighborhood is horrible. I felt like I was staying in an inner city ghetto. Its on a major street, sirens constantly all night, and hookers walking the park! They actually knocked on our door and offered, well, you can figure that out! We didn't have a car, and when we walked a few blocks to a liquor store, we were approached by someone offering to sell us marijuana, and by a beggar. We had breakfast one morning at a nearby restaurant, where we met a local cop. From her, I learned that the owner of the RV Park also owns the run down, seedy motels and trailer houses surrounding it, and is uncooperative with law enforcement. Her comment was, "Why in the world is someone like you, staying at that dump?" Absolutely avoid this place at all costs. - Mallory

Good news: Close to Hyland Hill's Waterworld. Bad news: More squatters than RV'ers. Make sure you lock everything as it sounded like the police were busy enough in this area. - dpthdiver
May 2006 - $35.00
A big disappointment given the lovely pictures on their website. The neighborhood is crime central. I witnessed the coke machine being stolen in the middle of the night. I will not return. - BobbieM
