A very nice park with very nice people. We stayed 2 nights so that we could go to Mesa Verde N.P. Very Clean and Laundry facilities were clean. A couple of machines were out of order, but that happens. The owners are new to this park, but own other KOAs so are in the process of improving this park, which only needs upgrading in a few areas...WiFi being one. It was spotty, and TV Channels were limited. We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here in a 37 ft 5th wheel in Sept. The location is easy to find off US 160 only few miles from Mesa Verde but far enough off the highway to limit road noise. We had pull through buddy type site with shared utility space. The site was wide and long enough for our rig and truck. All utilities worked well. The park is clean, well kept. No cable but got many OTA channels. WIFI worked well. We would stay again for sure. We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Mesa Verde is close and there are many other sites in the area. There is large Maverick travel center about a half mile West on 160 that has RV pumps and is very clean, prices good.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove to Durango and rode the Durango-Silverton Train. We traveled to Four Corners. Do not miss seeein, Mesa Verde Cave dwellings. We went there on two days. We saw some interesting Indian dance shows at the Indian cultural center downtown.

A nice KOA with friendly office staff. Excellent location, close to Cortez, CO and Mesa Verde National Park. It was easy to navigate the park in a 40' MH with toad. The utilities functional properly and the water pressure was about 42 psi. Nice pool (mostly children) with a shady area for their parents to sit. Park had several mature trees that provided shade, but could be a problem for satellite reception (although ours worked just fine). Sites were spacious had fire ring and picnic table. Overall a very nice park. I would stay here again. We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Motorhome.

Wow, wow, wow, what a wonderful, clean, attractive, well managed KOA. Our campsite was spacious, the utilities worked great. The campground is nicely landscaped and is a short walk along a trail to a lovely, large public dog park and nearby lake. Mesa Verde National Park is a short (well for Colorado) drive away. Staff were helpful. We loved it here. We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Motorhome.

Beautiful setting, clean and quiet, excellent staff and the most endearing part was the lake side path for daily walks full of springtime activity. We will be back for two weeks next year as there are so many cool things to do in this area. Great little town also! So many things to do in this area, the guys in the office will direct you to everything. They also have great restaurant suggestions. We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very well kept KOA. Landscaping is lovely although trees are sparse in some areas. It's well off the highway so very quiet at night & quite dark. There is an unobstructed view of the valley & mountains. There is a short walking trail to a small lake & city park. No swimming but we saw people fishing. The KOA pool was closed for the season. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Close quarters as advertised. Amazing dog park Pool was great - could have been open longer hours Not a lot of shade which makes it very hot when in the sun. Could have more trash cans around the park. We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This was an excellent family operated KOA whose leadership and staff take great pride in the campground. The facilities and grounds were exceptionally well maintained. We had to adjust our reservation twice because of RV mechanical issues and the staff were very accommodating. Our site was long, level, gravel with a couple trees (rare) on the door side. We had a nice view of the surrounding hillsides. This is an excellent location for getting out and enjoying Colorado's public lands or for just hanging out. We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Our primary purpose for this seven day visit was to visit Mesa Verde NP. Be sure to do that. We felt like this NP was a three-day park minimum. Be sure to take at least one of the ranger-led tours; we did the Balcony House tour and it was simply amazing to be able to walk through an 800 year old cliff dwelling. Take the time to enjoy the sunset from Park Pointe. We ate at the park's Metatte Room twice; it is excellent. Some would say it is pricey but the food is worth it.

Unlevel, gravel site. Wifi and utilities OK except as noted below. Decent location about 1 mile from the edge of town and 8 miles from Mesa Verde. This campground has their campsite's private sides facing each other, roughly 10 feet away so the picnic tables and fire rings are side by side. A very strange and unwelcome setup. Reserved and paid for a 50 amp site and received a 30 amp site plus an argument from the owner that we were wrong. When attempting to show the owner the KOA email confirmation showing 50 amp, he abruptly drove off. Over-priced and over-crowded sites. Will certainly not stay here again. We'll try Sundance RV park on our way back instead. Cheaper and better reviews. We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Okay for a night or two max. Convenient to Mesa Verde, only reason we stopped. Extremely overpriced for water and electric. Tightest sites we've seen in awhile, literally door to door with neighbors. Staff was very nice. We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice, typical KOA. Staff friendly, nice facility and some views from many of the sites. They let us turn around and face the mountains, and we had an excellent view. We paid $50, tax inclusive, for water and power. For that $, I thought we should've had better internet. It was slow to hook up, and very slow to load pages. I used way Verizon MiFi instead, and the service on that was slow too (but better). We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Motorhome.

Park was pricey for just water, electric, and sewer. There was no cable. Internet was slow; phone and tv reception were poor. Area was all gravel. Restrooms were very clean. Our GPS devices brought us right to the KOA. The front desk was friendly and efficient. The interior roads and sites were gravel. We were in a long pull thru and it took a little jockeying since the power pedestal was at the front of the site and our cord connection is at the rear of the Lifestyle. We had to add our sewer hose extension. Once settled the hookups went smoothly. We had a good line of sight for our roof mounted satellite dish. The Verizon cellphone signal and 4g signals were pretty good. This is a very nice park in a great location. We would stay here again. We camped at Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
