The first time we visited Monument RV Resort we planned on a week but stayed a whole month. We have visited several times since. To quote a previous reviewer "The owners are delightful and their staff are friendly, attentive, and care very much about the quality of their resort" I can't say it any better. The staff escort you to your site and make sure you're hooked up properly. Spacious pull-through, plenty of room for our slides and tow. Most all sites are pull-throughs. Sites are well maintained level gravel, which is better than other parks that try to "landscape" where you're more likely to end up "un-level" and traipsing dirt or mud in and out. The entrance pool and office areas are landscaped nicely. Large trees mostly around the edge of the park with good satellite signal. Well maintained pool, hot tub, exercise room and laundry facility. Nice supplied camp store. The park is conveniently located within walking distance of good restaurants and fast foods and there is a nice supermarket just on the other side of I-70. Grassy dog area is provided, but there is a beautiful state park right across the street for pleasant walks. Close off I-70 but far enough so there's no road noise. Colorado National Monument is right up the road and close to Grand Junction. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Basically a gravel lot. Hookups fine. Very close to your neighbors. Table and awning right next to neighbors sewer. Very pretty landscaping around office and pool, but no grass otherwise. Tiny dog "run" which was full of dog leavings. Bright spot was state park across busy highway with lots of grass and great place for dog walking. Very hot while we were there. Not much to downtown Fruita but close to Grand Junction. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We just did an overnight at Monument RV Park, but the sites were very long, somewhat narrow, and the utilities were great. I would stay here again. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Motorhome.

.Smallish, gravel pull thru with full hookups. Good satelite reception and Verizon. Laundry clean and convent. Exercise room, very small pool, bat mitten, horseshoes. Two blocks from I70. On road to CO National Monument. Dinasaur Museum a block away. But Not very park-like. Grocery, Drugstore fast food near by. Convient to Grand Junction. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We pull a 43 ft fifthwheel with an F350 Dually Truck and sites are wide enough to park next to your RV and still have your awnings and slides out. Checkin was easy and fast. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Other RVers were really friendly. The site was level, 60 ft long with50AMP full hookups. We had no road noise (there is road noise at the front of the park but not bad), and tall trees. The site is a thick bed of gravel that is compacted so there is almost no dirt, with a picnic table. The sites are very wide which is really nice. Utilities worked well. Pretty good WIFi and nice Cable TV. Some spotty coverage with AT&T cell and no cell data. This is a very remote area so lack of cell coverage is to be expected. Verizon Hotspot worked well in the park but bandwidth could be slow. Not under parks control. And, our satellite worked well.. No Bugs in May. I'd recommend this to everyone. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Check in office for places to see and things to do. They will steer you in a great direction. Check with Steve's wife on places to eat. She knows how to pick them.

We had 3 nights of reservation and called at the last minute to add a 4th night. Their full hook-up sites were all full for our extra night, but they had a W/E site for our first night, the extra night. The owners are wonderful and their staff are friendly, attentive, and care very much about the quality of their resort. We watched ther maintenance guy, stop and pick up trash or dog poop, or pull stray weeds. Monument RV park is clean, well cared for, and has all the amenities you could ask for, showers, laundry, a pool and hot tub, BBQ grill, fast wifi. The location is only a couple of miles from the entrance to the Colorado National Monument and just across the bridge from Fruita. We stayed 4 nights in a motorhome towing a car and when in the area, we will stay here again! We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is the second time that we have stayed here. It is a good driving distance from Salt Lake City and close the the Interstate but far enough away to not get the noise. It makes for a good overnight with FHUs. wifi, cable, pull through gravel site easy in and out and interior roads. There is a nice state park across the street with hook ups but with the extra fee to enter it is comparable to this park and We try to avoid the campfires they tend to have plus more kids and pets running around. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We were going to stay one night, ended up staying 4 nights. The area is great with lots of amenities. People are friendly. The park has trees, spaces are average size, the restrooms are clean. They have a small swimming pool. Across the street is a state park with a playground, river, picnic area, a dinosaur museum. A short drive takes you through Colorado National Monument. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Anything you could want is in Grand Junction which is within 20 minutes of Fruita. The grocery store, City Market, blew my mind. So clean, so easy to navigate and every employee there was so helpful and cheerful. There are many other stores in Grand Junction but the grocery store was my favorite.

The surrounding area is beautiful, the location is great next to restaurants and across the street from the river. I love that they have a small store so I don't have to leave the property for things I forgot and I love their swimming pool and playground for the kids. The employees were all nice and the owners were on the property working so you know they care about their business. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We took Exit 19 off of I-70 and stopped at the Visitor Center and Vietnam Memorial wall. Leaving this rest stop/visitor center takes you through two traffic roundabouts and not more than a few blocks to the campground. The staff was very accommodating. We were given the longest space we've ever had. Our 36' trailer with a 3' hitch and a 20' long truck fit with space left over. Watch out for wasps in June (and probably other months). I noticed a park employee watering the plants and asked him to address the wasp nests in our power pole and he immediately grabbed the wasp-kill spray that was handy on his golf-cart and took care of them. Good park. We stayed two days. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There are dozens of wineries nearby (we especially liked Two River's Winery, the wines were very good and the tastings were free). The entrance to Colorado National Monument is within a mile of the park. The Colorado River runs right thru this area and there are multiple places to access the river for kayaking and other water sports. If you like BBQ, drop by Rib City (its only a 1/2 mile away).

Check-in was fast and friendly. Interior road are wide and asphalt while the site are gravel. The sites in the middle of the park are pull thrus and the outer edges are back-ins. Hookups are well placed in the middle of the site. Sites in the middle pull thrus pull in opposite of the next site making your trailer doors to face one another. Personally I like a bit of privacy so next time here I would choose the backin. Laundry facilities have a number of washer and dryers, washes are $1.50 per load, dryers 0.50 for 20 minutes. Restrooms and showers are neat and clean. And free. There is also a small pool and hot tub for guest to enjoy. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
