The low rating was for the high cost for an overflow site. Because I can parallel park a 42 foot fifth wheel, we were out of other campers way. Park location was ok but not the easiest to get to. Fuel was close by, but groceries a little farther. Walmart was about 8 miles away. Would stay again as an overnight location if no other park was available. Picnic table was located on electrical/water side of the camper, assuming it was ours. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Older park with full time residents. This park was not very attractive, a little run down. The dog area was all gravel with no shade. The bathrooms and showers, while clean, were dated. WiFi and cable worked fine. Would not stay here again. We stayed here in a motorhome. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

RV parking lot in the middle of an industrial area. CG is just off of I-70 and near truck stops. Fed Ex distribution center across the street.
Hosts were helpful and friendly. Sites were level. All utilities worked fine. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

If you have a surge protector stay away from at least sites 18 & 19. On our stay, our surge protector kept kicking us off line because of low voltage. While we were hooking up, someone next to us was changing sites because of the same issue. We contacted the office and they claimed no other sites available and never heard of any electrical problems. Following morning we tried speaking with the owner, only to advise him that without a surge protector the average RV would not show a problem. For what ever reason, he choose not to contact us at the site or give us a call.Camper beware. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Low voltage activated our surge protector, causing power interruption on our coach, and we reported the problem to the office, and they could not put us in another site. The fifth wheel beside us also had a surge protector and was having the same problem on his site. In the morning we again contacted the office to advise them of the issue but it appeared that they were not interested in discussing the problem. If you have a surge protector, you should be aware of their problems at this campground. Surge protectors are designed to protect your RV. We would probably avoid coming back to this campground. There certainly was not any concern or compensation for the power issue. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We camped here for 4 nights in hot weather. The park has no shade and is a gravel parking lot. It was in the 90's while we were here and when our row (spaces 11-20) filled up, there was a very serious power drop. We measured voltage as low as 106 volts late in the afternoon. This is NOT GOOD!! Many electronics and A/C units will not withstand this low a voltage for very long before sustaining some damage. One of pour "neighbors" was forced to run his generator in order to have enough power for his A/C units to run. I have rated this park a 5 because of their other redeeming factors. The personnel are friendly and helpful, the sites are wide and long enough for big rigs, it is close to I-70, but far enough away so you don't hear traffic at night, they have limited free cable, and a poor to fair WiFi system. The voltage problem is a big deal and I would stay away from the row we were in. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to visit the Colorado National Monument while in Grand Junction. Not suitable for trailer or big rigs, but extremely scenic. Go in your toad on on your motorcycle as the twisty roads are really nice.

Sites close together and many that appeared to be an after thought because they were in isle ways and end caps. More dirt than gravel with puddles and mud to deal with. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

A decent overnight stop. Gravel sites with reasonable gravel access roads. Not overly long pull thrus, so dropping the toad is most likely necessary. Sites wide enough to park the toad next to the rig. Power ok, did not use water or sewer. Wifi was not working the night we were there - decent signal, but would not hand out IP address. Decent Verizon signal strength and bandwidth. We will consider looking for alternatives for an overnight in the area since this campground does have the negative of having to drop the toad. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

The office staff was nice and the internet was good. Sites didn't have one blade of grass. In fact, there was no grass anywhere. There were too many extended stay sites. These had metal or wood storage buiidings next to their sites. It looked more like a trailer park. We will not return We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

All gravel grounds. Site large enough and set up for side-by-side hookups. Lots of seasonal campers and very large storage area. Park in an industrial/commercial area and not very scenic. Handy to US 6-50, and I 70 although lots of construction in area. I think park is vastly over priced. Raised prices to cover cost of Wi-Fi and cable TV. Cable did not include local channels so we used antenna and had very nice HD. Would not stay here again. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Just a stop for the night. Lots of road construction taking place when we were there so it wasn't the easiest off highway, but still decent. Place is packed with workers for the oil fields. Gravel roads and sites. Fences between pull thru sites that go to each end making it tight to pull out. Dog park was just a fenced off area - they call it "big" but for my dog it wasn't more than a postage stamp. Price was Good Sam with tax. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Basic gravel lot with utilities. Flat and easy access. No problems other than it is in an industrial area and road noise is a problem. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great location for touring the area. Large sites separated by post & rail. I liked the $10 wash fee at site. Laundry room one of the best we've seen. TV reception and open for satellite, but no cable. Wi-Fi OK. A negative is the all gravel park if you are a dog owner. But it is river gravel, not the sharp gravel in most parks. Would probably stay here again. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Decent space between pull throughs. Decent Wi-Fi. That's really about it. It's a gravel lot with a couple of trees. Small playground but it was OK for the kids. Overpriced, but there isn't much choice in the area. Would stay here again if only because there is not any decent alternative for a few hundred miles. We camped at Junction West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
