This may be a very nice park in the future, but it is in the developmental stage! We had called 45 days previously for reservations. As we were getting close, we called around 11:45 AM to see if anyone would be in the "office" during the lunch hour. No answer; left message and telephone number. Arrived around 1 pm and had reservations for two nights (made on June 24); no one there (only "office" was an RV with flat tires) so we called campground number again and left another message. Additionally, there were four other names and numbers on a big board in front of RV so we called all of them and left messages. One gentleman called me back and said they were out of town and a lady was on duty. Left another message for her and explained what the gentleman said to me.

We saw an empty spot (only one) so assumed it was ours and set up. (It was the only empty spot) No one came back that night and no one called. No one called on Monday. Around 6:25 pm a woman showed up at our RV site, presumably the lady I called. Apparently, they had no record of our calling and making a reservation, and she said she did not get any voice mail messages either. Thankfully, no one needed our spot Monday evening so we paid $35/night (very pricey for this new park without laundry facilities or office). FYI, all but one site are for long-term campers. That one site was full for a week (we had already talked with them to see what they knew about checking in). Hopefully, they will have short-term camp sites sometime in the future.

It is VERY close to railroad tracks and they are VERY ACTIVE day and night. Long-term campers are workers and start their diesel engines early; i.e., 5:30 am.

On the plus side for this RV Park, these are large, long RV sites; mostly pull thru sites; fairly good WIFI and cell service; no problem with satellites since no trees.

If you are looking for a short term stay, look elsewhere. We would not stay here again. We camped at Wild Country RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $20.00

Price reflects monthly rate. This is a very new camp ground and is still under construction. It is off to a good start with well laid out parking on crushed asphalt (I think it will be paved in the future). Sites are long & pretty level. Parking is back side to back side near your neighbor with hook ups between for both of you, while your front door side has plenty of space for a table. It appears the owners are working on the spaces in between to provide tables, but there weren't tables during our stay. No bathroom / shower house right now, but there are some portapotties. It is near a busy train track but the trains rarely blow their horns. It's mostly just the rumble you'll hear, which some folks may like. Overall, this place has good potential; and is an affordable place to stay while exploring the Denver area. My rating is based on it being a good place to park if you are self contained and don't expect 'resort' entertainments. We camped at Wild Country RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is an ongoing project, so during our time of stay it was just a field with a bunch of RV spaces. The owners are super friendly, they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. The water hook-ups are top-notch and each site has both a 30 & 50 hook-up. There was no cable, but they offered free wifi and our antenna picked up over 30 local channels. They are constantly working to improve the place. The ''yards'' are huge! The way they have this place designed is genius. Each camper is back-to-back giving each lot a giant yard. There is a train track pretty close, BUT to our surprise it didn't bother us a bit. They don't blow a horn right by the park, and most of the time we never knew they were passing unless we were outside. They don't have any facilities, but like I said- they are just getting this place up and running so I'm sure in the future they'll have a lot more amenities. We were in the area for work and it was next to impossible trying to find an open lot in nearby cities. We stumbled across this little gem and we're glad we did! The town of Keenesburg is pretty small, but they have pretty much whatever you need (a little grocery store, dollar store, laundromat, auto parts, a few restaurants, ect.) If we have to go back to this region for work, we will definitely be giving the manager a call to reserve us a space! They have weekly rates as well as extended stay (monthly). Bottom line, these guys are good people.

Denver is about 30-40 minutes away

Nearest city is Brighton, 18 miles (Walmart, Lowes, ect) We camped at Wild Country RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
