Do not remember exact nightly rate, but I think $45. Clean, easy access, dirt/gravel road and sites. Easy back in site accommodated 41' 5th. Seasonal operation so check first. Closes mid October for the winter. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Deer in nearly every yard in town. Must eat at Diner at South end of town. Only open until 2pm and closed Wed/Thur. Nice little town on edge of mountains.

Nice campground a little hard to find. If coming in from the West cross the railroad tracks and follow the blacktop road left over bridge to stop sign then left. Great owners and very friendly. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

It's a great park, the owners and park hosts took very good care of the park. There were games and group games available for campers. All sites were very level and accessible to all hookups. We will definitely stay there again when in the area!! We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice people. Clean and well run. Nice fenced dog park. Sites easy to get into. Rate above was divided by 7. Weekly was $262. If you have satellite, ask for a site clear of the cottonwood trees. This was my second stay and I'd stay here again. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Our camping experience at Circle The Wagons RV Park was amazing. We had some motoring problems and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. We had registered for 1 night but they managed to allow us to stay for 3 days while waiting for a new vehicle. Our grandchildren said this is their new favorite campground. It was very clean, and well kept, with lots of outside games for the kids. We stayed on the Creekside and loved watching the bubbling brook. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We cant wait to go back. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This Park is certainly the best choice for staying in or near La Veta. The road into the Park is dirt and muddy when it rains. All utility services were properly maintained and in excellent condition. Good water pressure, easy sewer access and rock solid electrical service. That road is lined with an odd collection of houses in varied conditions. Once passed the dirt road entrance the place has a down home feel. All the pads are level and all are gravel to include the inside road. Office staff could not have been more helpful. They treated us like family. There are families that return to this Park every year and for years. That says a lot WiFi is among the best we've had anywhere except at home. OTA TV is limited to none or maybe one. The Office has an extensive collection of movie DVDs that are available on the honor system. If we come back to this area this is the only place we'd stay. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

A delightful small RV park that is extemely well kept. Lots of funky decorations. They normally have a nightly gathering around a gas firepit but the night I stayed there it was too windy. The staff and people staying at the park were very friendly. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

New owners this year, and they have maintained the high standards of the previous owners. They are super-friendly and just delightful people! They also support a lot of the community activities. The sites are spacious by commercial RV park standards, with nice shade for most sites, at least for part of the day and especially in the afternoon when needed the most. ATT hotspot was fantastic, and the park wi-fi was very good, as well. The new owners are fantastic, so nice and helpful, easy to talk with and full of good information on local sights and activities. The park is nice and peaceful, and just on the edge of La Veta, which is cute and surrounded on two sides by some beautiful mountains which offer their own unique possibilities. We were in town for the Spanish Peaks International Celtic Music Festival this weekend. What a wonderful Celtic music festival...really a great selection of world-class musicians filling this little valley with awesome music. We'll return here, definitely.....for the music, the scenery, the weather and the fall colors! We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great location. Sweet little town that has had a rough time this summer with a bad fire in the mountains and almost evacuated. This place had the best internet at a RV Park I have had this entire summer of traveling. Lovely drive into the mountains. As the drive recovers from the fire it will be fun to watch the changes. Rate reflects GS Discount. Our 2nd time here. Prices have gone up since our last stay here, but it's still a very nice and clean park. New owners have made a few changes, such as moving dumpster to the back of the property, everything still very neat and clean. Lady in office was friendly and helpful on check-in. We arrived a day after a major hail storm, so understandably there were a lot of leaf and tree debris around but it was being cleaned up. Electric was steady, level sites, hookups are placed well, toward back of site. All sites are back in. Lots of trees for shade. This time we stayed in a "standard" site, not on the river, it suited us fine. Still more loose dogs around than we like to see but many people appear to comply with leash rule. Park is very quiet and comfortable for one night or longer stay. You can walk to town. We would like to visit here again. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A cute little park. The area approaching the park is questionable until you get into the park. They have done a beautiful job with the welcoming and common areas. We paid for a premium spot which is suppose to back up to a river. However, don't pay for that premium spot. The river is not running and the rock bed is full of trash limbs. There is a rancher/farmer on the other side of the river so you can at least enjoy seeing the horses, goats, donkeys, etc... If I were to come back, we would request a spot in the middle section directly across from the river sites. The other negative I have for this park is that there are no pull through sites... We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Motorhome.

Loved this park. Had a "river" site, and although river currently dry, the river site gave us a large shady area between the back of the rv and the river. Lots of trees and shade. Deer roaming nearby. Great view of the Spanish Peaks. Great new owners. Community fire pit nightly with many campers present. Large library of books and DVD's. Owner posts a board of activities going on during the week in the area. WiFi good. ATT phone service good. We only got two stations on OTA antenna (Child PBS and another station we never heard of) and only a few stations using our DISH (no cable). We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The town of LaVeta is very small, but has numerous art galleries, a post office, gas station, quaint grocery store with ice cream/soda fountain. Cuchara about 11 miles away with quaint shops and restaurants. Try the hwy 12 / I25 scenic highway loop. There is a free app - TravelStorys - for a great audio tour while you travel the loop.

We stayed a week, and had one of the "river" sites. However, the river by dry! Big time drought in the area! However, we still enjoyed the stay. I'd echo what a previous posted said about only 3 broadcast television stations available.... However, they have a ton of loaner DVDs in the came room available for free. We enjoyed this park very much. The owners are doing a great job. I am sure this is the best park in town. Mule deer roam freely thru the park... and all over town for that matter. It's a bit dusty, but I attribute that to the drought. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out Cuchara, Cuchara Pass, and Cordova Pass! Also, the downtown market has reasonable prices considering where they are. Lastly, the corner diner at the south end of town (down the main drag) has the best BLT sandwich, and some of the best onion rings I'v had anywhere. We also visited Huerfano Community Bible Church in Walsenberg, I highly recommend it as well! We really liked LaVeta, hope you do too!
