One mile from entrance to Mesa Verde National Park, great location. Good shade and most site nice and flat. Good Wi-Fi, but no cable and very poor OTA signals. Most sites well sheltered from highway noise. When I come to Mesa Verde again I will definitely stay here. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Right next to Mesa Verde NP on US160 between Cortez and Mancos. Cortez is about 10 miles from campground and has a WalMart, grocery stores, and restaurants. Sights are gravel with picnic tables. Sewer required a long hose but else wise utilities were accessable. dog walk area with pond. Pool, 2 hot tubs and playground. There's also a common area with gas fire pit, grills and picnic tables. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Conveniently located to Mesa Verde NP. In between Cortez and Mancos. Cortez is about 10 miles from campground and has grocery store, pharmacy and many other stores and restaurants. Sights are gravel base relatively level. Convenient hook-ups. Generous open dog area with pond. Pool, hot tub and playground available. We didn’t use but nice for families. There’s a common firepit, Grill and picnic tables. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a week over the Labor Day weekend. It offered a good central location for visiting Mesa Verde, Four Corners, Durango, and Silverton. Our pull through site was very long and wide open to the sky for great satellite reception. We viewed a beautiful prairie field and two ponds out our front windshield. The hookups were well situated and worked well. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The town of Cortez was a few miles down the road and had a Walmart and fuel. September was a little chilly and rainy due to their lingering monsoon season. Go to the Mesa Verde visitors center less than a mile down the road to book ranger guided tours.

This park was close to Mesa Verde National Park and easy to navigate to our spot; however, it took every piece of wood we had to level our trailer. Other than that, there were two hot tubs, a heated pool and a great sitting area with chairs and a fire pit. There was a little shade at our spot. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Only 1/2 mi to the entrance of Mesa Verde NP and visitor center. The all-gravel sites and roadways are well maintained but slightly sloped. Some roadways were a little narrow depending on towed parking. The group picnic area was nice with 2 grills, tables and firepit, as well as a pool and hot tub (for adults only) nearby. Individual sites are well shaded by mature trees except a few gigantic sites at the top level, which were open. The restrooms and showers were very clean and modern with plenty of shower changing area. Wifi was good enough for Google searches, etc. Overall this was a pleasant campground to stay at and convenient to services. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Mesa Verde RV Park Site 76, $34 for EW back-in with GS discount. Site 13, $42 + tax for EWS pull-through with GS discount Site 76 was very uneven, both from front to back and side to side, while site 13 was perfectly level. Mesa Verde RV park is appropriately named as it is only a half mile from the entrance to the UNESCO site. All RV sites are gravel and have either EW or full hookups. The premium pull through sites are open, with no grass, but are over 100 feet long offering excellent satellite reception. Most of the other sites have mature trees that offer some shade. The only RV sites with grass are #70 to 76 and they are 30 amp electric/water back-ins. There is a pool, 2 hot tubs, laundry (wash $1.75, dry $1.50), and they sell propane by the gallon. Wifi was decent in the morning but slowed around supper hour and in the evening as the number of users increased. We stayed in site #76 for 4 nights because of the grass and greater solitude as it was next to the empty tent area. We transferred to full service site #13 on our last night to facilitate an earlier departure by not having to use the dump station. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The good: very helpful and pleasant staff. Very clean campground and restrooms. Wonderful area for dogs to exercise, plus plenty of room to walk around the campground. Less than a mile to Mesa Verde National Park, and 45 minutes from Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. The not so good: Back-in premium site #5. Pretty tight with trees on both sides of the site - took a few tries to line up to allow slides out and avoid tree branches. You can see where previous campers have nudged the trees and taken some bark off. Staff should also trim up trees a bit. Moderate road noise at this site, especially trucks using jake brakes. If I stay here again, I'll ask for one of the pull-throughs that are farther away from the road and have clear satellite views. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for about a week to do Mesa Verde and other activities nearby. Nice park and we stayed in the upper level so I can only review this area. There is a lower level so am not sure about any review of that area. Our space #8 was level, big, pull through site with mountains in the background that we could see outside of our trailer. Staff is helpful, used the bathrooms and the showers and they are super clean and well maintained. Wifi was for the most part very good as least in our area, but no shade. There is a pool and a hot tub but we did not use them although they looked nice. Very quiet park. I would highly recommend this RV Park without hesitation. Only thing I might request would be to have a different site than ours. One side faced another RV and the other side faced a home (owner's residence) so our view was the home. There was no problem just my personal preference. I think I would have liked any of the sites 9-13. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We did enjoy our stay at this park, using it as a home base to explore Mesa Verde and the surrounding area. The sites are gravel, running from level to requiring significant leveling. Utilities worked well, placement on some sites make connection difficult (especially site #19). Good spacing between sites although many of the picnic tables are permanently situated next to the adjacent site which means you picnic under your neighbor's slide out. Very nice laundry room with ample washers and dryers. The park is well kept (one glaring issue on sewer), mature trees throughout (poor satellite reception) except for the very long 50 amp pull through sites. Wifi is poor, sporadic at best. Cell service (verizon) minimal, though our hotspot worked better than the park's wifi. My main concern is their sewer treatment facility. It appears the septic tank effluent is percolating up through numerous areas near the dog walk and pond areas (assuming the ponds are for treatment of the effluent) and running down to the ponds. Asked an employee about this and they said it's okay, it's not black water. So, all in all loved the park but will not return until their treatment system is cleaned up. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed in a long pull-through site (up the hill to the left). Site was level and almost twice as long as needed. A well-maintained and mostly quiet park. Lots of families. Large dog-walking area and small pond at rear of park. Very close to Mesa Verde NP. Utilities fine except that WIFI was intermittent even at un-busy times of day. The front office admitted to having "server problems". Pool and h0t tubs were full of kids. As another reviewer commented, some tree branches are low over interior roads so be alert to that when navigating. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Anasazi museum in Delores is a fine place to visit on a rainy afternoon. Nearby Delores has an excellent Mexican restaurant - Montezuma Mexican. We boarded our dog overnight at Cortez Animal Bed and Breakfast with no problems. Both Cliff Palace and Long House are excellent cliff dwelling tours in Mesa Verde NP, but tickets are limited... can be purchased up to two days in advance at visitor center or at info center in Cortez.
