Oct 2018 - $45.00
Almost $98 for 2 nights after GS discount! A sign said $45 for 50 amp. Should have been $81 plus tax. No office, my husband got out of the truck to seek assistance when we arrived. Finally someone came over in a golf cart and demanded my Drivers license. Turns out they don't take credit cards, only check and cash. No Clubhouse. No amenities at all. No cable, a few broad cast though. No Usable wifi. 1 shower, 1 commode for entire park, which turns out is for tenters only! Big dirt, gravel (and mud when we arrived). Pull troughs are side by side hookups,We were ten feet from our neighbors slide Our site was not level. ",Riverside' sites face back of shopping center. We have never paid so much for so little. - swreviews
Aug 2018 - $48.00
We pulled in around 7pm and were still greeted and led to our site. The park is right by the river and all gravel (white rock) and nice trees. There were a lot of mosquitoes due to two small ponds in the center of the park that appeared rather stagnant. It was a very quiet park. - Lady C
Sep 2017 - $45.00
We stopped for an overnight on our way to Estes Park. Not a bad park but overpriced for what it is like a lot of others in this area. We were told that they only had one space left for our 41 foot 5th wheel and it was a back in on the river that we could have for 55.00. I told the camp host that I didn't want to pay 13 dollars extra just to be close to a river and told him that I would pay the 45.00 if he wanted me to stay and he agreed to that. Both spaces on either side of me were vacant all night so I guess the one space that they had left wasn't true. They don't have on office, just a camp host and after we were set up the camp host came by to collect the fee and then we found out that they only take cash or check, no credit or debit cards which wasn't any big deal. Then we were told that they charge for pets and we have two small dogs but since we weren't told that before hand they decided not to charge for the pets which was a good thing because I would have left before I would pay extra for the two small puppies. They don't use any of their services so why should you have to pay for them. I wouldn't mind staying here again but I think next time I would look around and see if there is something better in the area. I will say that the camp hosts were very friendly. - Linda Allan

We had a gravel, level, pull through, FHU site with cable TV. The WiFi was adequate for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. The bathrooms were clean. I saw no recycling. - Jerry S
Oct 2018 - $45.00
This KOA in Montrose, CO is easy to get to and located close to sightseeing/activity places in the area. The campground was clean, gravel sites level and each had a picnic table and grassy area. Not all have a fire pit but the literature says some are available so you should inquire if that is important to you. Restrooms/shower areas were very clean as is the laundry. There is a covered pavilion with several tables and a pool area, all looked to be in good shape. The only drawback might be the congested entrance where parking for registration could be inconvenient if there were other units ahead of you, but they are not on a busy street so it would not be a huge issue. We were here in the off season so had no problem. Space rental was $45 for a pull through site, typical of a KOA but competitive in the area. We will absolutely stay here again. - Roadcouple
Sep 2018 - $49.00
Decent Campground. The site was okay with a nice grassy area between sites. The staff is pleasant. Quiet. Good AT&T cell & 2 bars of LTE data. I was here visiting the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. - Lugnuts

Very detailed explanation about the park and amenities of the area at check-in. We were escorted to our site and told that we should only plug into the receptacle when the breakers are off. Was shown where to hook up our water, and the sewer hole was pointed out too. After 12 years as full-timers, it is always nice to get obvious information. Sites are very wide and spacious pull-thrus and nicely spaced. Water pressure was about 45 psi, 50/30/15 amp electric available. They only honor PA for one night. Checkout is at 11:00 am. At 10:35 am, one of the managers came by and asked if we were leaving soon, and said that he hadn't seen any activity and that he needed this site at 11:00. We were running a bit late, but in all of our time full timing, we've never been hounded to get out. We left at 11:09.....had some jack issues. During the day, there is quite a bit of traffic noise, but at night it is pretty quiet. - simonsrf
Sep 2018 - $46.00
Stayed here to explore the area. I will be back again. Staff was very helpful and friendly. WiFi was perfect and fast the entire stay. No problems with road noise (we were in about the middle of the park). Can't wait to come back. - Camping Jeeper
Aug 2018 - $48.00
This park has side to side hookups, but the RV's are 20 feet apart. Also they are staggered in such a way that your neighbor is not right beside you. Sites are all gravel, clean, and level. Huge wide and long spaces. Huge wide interior roads. Very friendly and pleasant staff. Very neat and clean. Super good WiFi signal and very fast. Doesn't seem to deteriorate at night like many parks. Staff says off-air TV works, but I had no luck with this. They are good about putting you in a spot where your TV satellite dish is not blocked by trees. Stay a week and the rate is $41.26, because of a 14% discount. Good deal! The only drawback is road noise during the day. Almost none at night. - wandering Burro

This park is in the town of Montrose and has a mini-golf park adjacent. The driveways and site pads are gravel, however, the gravel is thick and provides good coverage so, no dust. We had a pull-thru site with full hook-ups and 50amp electric. The site was quite narrow, we could almost reach through our window to touch the next door RV. Everything worked well, the free WiFi was reliable and the bathrooms were in reasonably good condition and kept clean. - Coopsecondact
Oct 2018 - $45.00
Friendly and helpful folks. Had to be since park is NOT big rig friendly. I had 2 inches on right side with slide out and had to have left slide in to get to electrical service. Park just not big enough for big motor homes. Park laid out in the 1950s and big rigs beware. - JohnBeargrass
Aug 2018 - $40.00
Stayed here in July, 2018. Campground is clean and owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. Convienent to restaurants and shopping. Campground has several cabins and small rv trailers for rent and also has tent camping available. There is a mini golf course on site. Some sites are shaded. Sites are close together Owner is adding 20+ rv sites in a vacant area at the back of the campground (availability in late 2018). Would stay here again. - Camper71-2004

This CG is now a Jellystone Park campground. Clean facilities and well laid out. Close proximity to Montrose. The hosts went out of their way to include our children in camp activities (hay rides, nature walks, crafts, etc. Very nice people for sure. Clean laundry facilities, showers, and bathrooms. Game room was more my speed- pool tables, ping pong, shuffleboard (not a bunch of video games) kept the kids busy. The pull through sites are easy to get in and out of. Most of the trees are fairly young and will take a few years to provide large amounts of shade. Most of the sites are wide open which was ok. It seems like new ownership and they are working hard (and doing a good job) of keeping the place up. Nice clean playground with picnic areas. Unfortunately a fire ban was in effect so no campfires, but they do have community set ups for it. My only gripe was the pool water temp. I presume it was early enough in the season and they had not gotten the system up and running at full speed. Water temps were 68-69*F. Rather chilly by my standards, but the kids still put up with it. Plenty of things to see in the surrounding mountains, kept us busy for a week. Would come here again. - scottykrug
Jul 2012 - $37.00
Friendly staff, clean bathrooms and showers. The pool and hot tub were also well maintained. We stayed and attended the Night Vision festival in Olathe, CO. We will stay again for next year’s festival. Rate was with AAA discount. - Bayfield Family Campers
Jul 2010 - $31.00
New owners trying very hard to improve this park. From long term residents I understand that previous owners let the park deteriorate badly. We found the owner to be friendly, the sites were very large, WiFi worked, got a few local TV stations using our rig's antenna. Conveniently located for anyone who wants to see Ouray, Silverton or Telluride but doesn't not want to take their big rigs to those locations. We hope that the new owner is successful in building back the clientel who used to enjoy this convenient location. We would stay here again should we ever return to the Montrose area. - lonroberts

Traveling in a 38 foot coach we stayed 4 nights in a site for big rigs. Yes the management at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park is extremely strict but that's because they want a safe rv park... for kids. This was our first time staying here and after the management explained why they are so strict we were more than fine. Fact is we would not want to camp anywhere that does not put safety first! We believe the safety of kids should come first so for those of you who don't want a safe rv park then definitely go somewhere else. And yes this park does not allow marijuana or drunks, so be on your way, please! In our book this rv park receives an "A" plus for safety! Have you ever heard of the saying...'a fine tuned engine? This is a fine tuned rv park and the only problem we found here was the wifi! No campground without usable wifi gets more than three stars from us. The technology is here, there is nothing to stop any campground from investing in doing wifi properly. For some users, such as ourselves, wifi is the single most important feature in any campground. We stayed here for four night in February and the park was almost empty so there is no excuse for the terrible wifi! - JDC10
Jul 2018 - $56.00
Beware! They quoted me $39 per night, but charged $56 when I got there. When we arrived my wife stayed in the truck with our two boys. They told me we both needed to be present for the "reading of the park rules". I told them she could come in after I was done. The manager then proceeded to make her get out and come in while she offered to listed for our kids from the office porch 50 feet away. They then read each rule word by word and had us each sign understanding like we were children. I had booked months in advance, and asked for a site near the playground under the trees. They said they could accommodate that and would make a note. Upon check in, the site was not available and we were placed in the middle of the park. Not a huge deal, but irritating. When I was escorted to my spot by a staff member he lead me backwards to my site (they are angled pull throughs). After a lengthy discussion and attempt at turning me around I elected to simply pull around to the other side and back in. They are VERY strict on their park rules and state many times that you will be asked to leave with no refund. One of these stated that no carpets, tents, etc. would be placed on the grass. The area beside my camper was dirt with one or two weeds just off the gravel. The grass did not start for about 3 more feet. I placed my outdoor carpet slightly off the gravel and in the dirt. While we were gone during the day, someone pulled up my stakes to fold the carpet back and tore the corners in the process. The rule said "not on the grass", it did not say "not off the gravel". The park was clean with fairly open sites, but they share a lawn between two spots. I will not be staying here again because I simply did not feel comfortable. I always felt like I was being watched for some sort of infraction. At night, the owner (I assume) can be seen driving around with a flashlight checking people's sites, for what I'm unsure. I understand rules, but theirs are taken to an extreme. Bring a sewer seal (donut) or you will not be allowed to hook up. - Super58d
Jul 2016 - $52.00
Like others have said, very basic, no frills rv park. Sites are uneven and leveling took some time. We were put in an area very far away from anything. After awhile it appeared all pet owners were in this are which is ok.
What irritated me most was the check in. The employee read all the rules line by line and had me sign at the bottom. Felt like I was in 3rd grade again. To make it worse, her husband drove up the next morning and handed us some rules about the speed limit again. When advised we had the briefing, he smiled and blamed the rules on the park owners who were in the park that same time. Not a problem, just demeaning.
The best part of the park wss the location. We were minutes from area attractions. Probably will not stay here again. - sfretts

May 2018 - $15.00
Welcome to the Good-Ol'-Boys Club. 6 electric-only sites. Un-level, very wide gravel sites. Good 50/30 amp power. Trees block any overhead satellite signal. In the bar they talked about the big plans to renovate these gravel sites......Pretty obvious they aren't RVers by listening to their plans. Their main issue was that the lodge was aging and they needed to generate more money and an improved RV Park would be their cash cow. This place at $15 is a rip-off. No fire ring, table or pad and no sewer available. - simonsrf
Aug 2016 - $15.00
This was a great place for a one-night stop. There are only 6 spaces with electric only, but all were mostly shaded, roomy, and very level. Great price for an overnight with electric, would stop there again. - pandcallen
Jul 2015 - $15.00
Although this Lodge only offers 30 and 50 amp electric hookups, the power is very good...no surges, brown-outs, etc. In fact, it's so good that we parked/set up both 30 and 50 amp Motorhomes in one site (very roomy sites) and the power never fell below 118. Backin sites. I would stay here again. There's water spigots for your convenience. - Br catlady

Aug 2018 - $25.00
Very clean park, good water pressure, good wifi, cable tv needs to be upgraded as channels were quite fuzzy. Lots of grass and trees. Sites are all concrete, though some are not too level, with concrete patios. Park is the bright spot in the town of Olathe. There is a good hardware store in town, but not much else. Big stores for shopping are 10-12 miles away in Delta and Montrose. - Red Crewzer
Aug 2018 - $41.00
nice quiet little park, has pond with sitting area. - Jim451
Aug 2018 - $41.00
Very nice, clean park. 55+, quiet. The park is tucked into town so there is no highway noise and we heard no trains. Electric was steady, we did not hook up to water/sewer as we only stayed one night. The owners were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Sites are concrete, pull thrus, lots of shade trees. Only dog we saw not on leash was the owners and he was in the office. Sites are fairly spacious, more than most town parks. Not a lot to do in town, primarily agriculture. This would be a very nice park to linger for a while. They have a "happy hour" twice a week. They offer a laundry room and restroom/showers. We would stay here again. - Fixn2gocamp

We were looking for a CG that would be convenient to exploring the Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP and would have electric since morning temps were forecasted to be in the 20's. We're self-contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed mid-week in mid-October in our 25 foot MH. This is a pleasant campground near the Visitor Center and central to all South Rim activity. There are 3 loops in a forest of tall shrubs. Sites are similar in each loop. B loop has electric. Loop C is first come first serve. Water is not available after temps drop below freezing. Limited water is available in summer - plan to arrive with water. There is no dump station. There is one in Montrose which we did not use. We stayed in loop B. Most of the sites are back in with a few pull overs. The CG map denotes S, M and L sites. Sites are dirt and most need some leveling. The shrubs provide some privacy. There's no wifi and no cell coverage in the CG. The nearest ATT and Verizon signals are at Sunset View and along HYY 347. - dsvt
Sep 2018 - $14.00
The location of this campground on the South Rim deserves a 10! We were in loop B and had a very long, back-in site with 50 amp service. We have a 40' ft wheel. Backing the rig into the site was a challenge due to trees and posts marking the campsites, but we managed with a little wiggling and patience. We had one of the best sites as we were totally off the road and there was great vegetation around us providing privacy. Many of the pull through sites in that loop are on the road that runs through the campground. It was so tight, that several campers did not fully extend their bumps. There is no dump (there's one in town at the Forest Service Office) and there is no water available to fill tanks. There is water available to fill small jugs. We made sure to fill our tanks before we got there. The road to the campground is steep but fairly easy even when towing a big rig. So I just listed all the problems, but it's a wonderful national park location. The rangers did nightly programs on the history, geology, and animal life. This is a designated dark sky area and the star gazing is outstanding. We toured both rims, North and South. Both provide outstanding views of the canyon. It's about a 90 minute drive from the South Rim to the North Rim from the campground. - The Regans
Sep 2018 - $14.00
We stayed in the south rim campground at Black Canyon NP. Loop B has electric. There is water but it is trucked in so it is limited. The facilities were clean. We stayed in site B12. Sites are separated nicely from others. Site B13 power didn't work so check your power before unhooking your trailer. You can get cell coverage only at high places in the park. We will stay again. - bdornbush

We were looking for a CG close to Telluride that had electric sites (morning temps below freezing for several days in a row). We're self-contained and don't use the facilities. We stayed on weeknights in mid-October in our 25 foot MH. This is a very nice CG about an hour from Telluride. Ridgway SP has 3 camping areas: Pa-Co-Chu-Puk CG with FHU at the Pa-Co-Chu-Puk recreation site and Elk Ridge CG and Dakota Terraces CG, both electric only, at the Dutch Charlie recreation site 3.5 miles south. The sites in Dakota Terrace are arrayed in a meadow in full sun with patio covers over picnic tables for shade. They are closer to the highway with some road noise. The sites in Elk Ridge are in a pinion pine/juniper forest with shade and privacy and no road noise. We stayed in Elk Ridge. The sites are spacious with a mix of pull-ins and back-ins. All are asphalt, some are level while others require leveling. Some have more shade than others and some have views of the reservoir or mountains. There are ample water spigots throughout. There's a dump station with rinse and potable water near the entrance. Note the water at the dump station may be shut off in the event of below freezing weather with water available to fill tanks at the spigots. There's no wifi. There's good ATT and Verizon cell service. Note the A loop of the Dakota Terrace is open year round. The remainder of the loops in Dakota and Elk Ridge begin to close based on weather. There's an extra $7 day fee for those without a CO SP pass. - dsvt
Oct 2018 - $27.00
Nice park below the dam with full hook ups and lots of space, however very little if any shade! The lake was really low and they could use lots of rain and snow over the winter! Nice park to stay in if visiting Ouray, Silverton and the Durango area. The Million Dollar Highway is a very interesting drive, just take your time to enjoy all the views! Also went up over Lizard Head pass to visit Telluride, Co. Just my opinion of course, but I think Lizard Head is the most beautiful pass in Colorado!! - lgvig
Sep 2018 - $30.00
We stayed for 4 nights in Pa Co Chu Puk G loop. We had a pull through site facing the west with a beautiful view of the mountains and we were away from the main highway. There was a small group of trees planted to the west of our camper that provided shade from the western sun. The concrete pad was level and the full hook ups worked well. The sites are incredibly spacious. The grounds of the campground included access to the river and fishing ponds. The location was perfect for exploring Ouray and Telluride. The price quoted does not include the $16 online processing fee. We had purchased a Colorado Park Pass for $70 (annual fee), so the daily park usage fee of $7 was waived. I can easily say this is one of the most beautiful state parks in Colorado. - The Regans
