3 RV Parks near Paradox, Colorado
Aug 2013 - $15.00
This is a National Forest Service Campground in Minti-Lasal NF. It is 20 miles of gravel road to get there, but it is secluded, peaceful, quiet and there are deer walking through campsites. Shady and hiking/lake nearby. Camped in 24' van. Wouldn't recommend trying to take any larger than a 28 to 30' RV in there. Several hard sided camping trailers and vehicles were there. - TexasLuv2Golf

We stopped here for an overnight visit. The owner is very nice. Water pressure good, electric good. The bathrooms were spotless. We had a big pull through site and we were able to get satellite. We would stay here again. - paints

This place isn't fancy, but they're working on it. You stay here for the location, as it's very centrally located. The sites are dirt with a road around them and houses very close by. No fences around the property, so no privacy. When we were there, a light on a pole flickered constantly, which made staying outside a little annoying at night. There are two bathrooms, and they are like bathrooms in a house. They are clean and roomy. The service is very, very attentive. They are really trying to make this a nice place but they have a little way to go. - OffroadGirl

This is an older park with a new owner, who has obviously made many improvements already. There is still a bit to be done to make it all it can be but there are plans to do more and with the owner's enthusiasm and plans, I have no doubt this will someday be a great park.
Our site was a large pull through with ample parking even with a large (35 foot) fifth wheel. The park is clean and tidy. The laundry room has new washers and dryers. Though close to the highway, it is quiet. The owner is very friendly and helpful, going out of his way to make sure we had a pleasant stay.
We stayed four nights (Passport America rates) and would not hesitate to stay again if we were in the area. This is destined to be a gem sometime in the near future! - Barbarapho
