Park was quiet, no highway or train noise ,sites were level, good local OTA channels, Verizon was good. The only bad thing was the sites needed clean up,there was dog poop all over . We camped at Pueblo West Campground and Arena in a Truck Camper.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here two nights to visit friends in Purblo. Good choice. Passport America rate of $16 is outstanding. Gravel roads and pull thru sites. Large off leash area for dogs. No cable TV but good OTA TV and wide open for Satellite. Friendly owners. Quiet. Did not use or look at bathroom/showers. Would stay here again. We camped at Pueblo West Campground and Arena in a Fifth Wheel.

Semi arid area not a lot of grass. Long, level, drive-thru, 30 and 50 amp sites, free Wi-Fi, gravel in roads.

Some trees and bushes. Full time rv residents. We camped at Pueblo West Campground and Arena in a Motorhome.

We made a reservation and were told they would save it for us even though we were coming in after dark. Were told to call and would get checked in. Did that, then the lady says she will lead us to our spot. That sounds good right? WRONG...she took us out and around the horse pens and put us between two trailer trash spots, weeds in our spot, next to the arena for the night. The horses neighed into the night. One neighbor started his pallet project with chainsaw early in the morning. No Internet, after being told yes they had Internet. The signal doesn't reach the horse pasture! Upon leaving we inquired why no Internet and why were we put out in the horse pasture. He said they were full up and sorry about the Internet. There did seem to be several places that were not filled. Maybe they left at the crack of dawn! I would never ever recommend this place. We camped at Pueblo West Campground and Arena in a Motorhome.

We did not use any of the common facilities. We were only here for one night and it was adequate for one nights stay. The only real negative for us was the pad did not have enough gravel so when it rained that night it was very muddy. Dirt roads made things dusty. Although there appeared to be a lot of permanent renters they were friendly and very helpful when we had an issue with the trailer. I would stay here again. We camped at Pueblo West Campground and Arena in a Travel Trailer.

I need to say this: We did not stay here for this reason. We called three days in a row. The young lady that answered could not tell us if they had a site available, when they would have a site, or if they would ever have a site. All she could do was state "We will call you if a site opens up"! We finally drove to the park only to discover that this is not a RV park! It is a long term haven for RVs that are in very poor condition. We camped at Pueblo West Campground and Arena in a Motorhome.

Gravel and sandy entrance road. Sites were functional although nothing aesthetically pleasing about the park. Most units were old and long term renters working in the area. We will not return to this park. We camped at Pueblo West Campground and Arena in a Travel Trailer.

This was a good park to stay in. The staff worked hard to keep the place clean and were updating all the time. We stayed here for three months. There were a lot of long time residents living here. There were also a lot of working people staying here. There were no special activities, and everyone stayed to pretty much to themselves, but it was a friendly quiet park and we would stay here again. We camped at Pueblo West Campground and Arena in a Fifth Wheel.

Very unkempt park. Lacking facilities. No shade, windy and dusty at times. Great view of mountains to the west. Hookups were sufficient. Huge Wal-Mart 1.5 miles. Good location for going to Canon City (Royal Gorge Bridge). Not too much to do in Pueblo. Would stay again to visit friends. We camped at Pueblo West Campground and Arena in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We were in one of 6 new back-in sites on a deep bed of loose crushed concrete that desperately needs to be smoothed out to remove tire ruts, etc. The sewer connection was uphill from the pad causing problems dumping for lower diesel coaches. Super Wal-Mart is approximately 1.5 miles away, and handy to downtown. There are a considerable number of permanent residents. (What else to expect when you see the bank of mailboxes clearly numbered for each of the 54 sites!!!) No apparent rules or pride in appearance. The fifth wheel next to us had the ground around it totally covered with bicycles, a dirt bike, grills, ATV tires, ice chests, a kiddie wading pool crammed under the rear, and an assortment of unrecognizable debris scattered about. But we saw no children in the two days we were here. This is a no-frills, pretty peaceful location. Any of the pull-through sites would be better than the newer back-ins. We camped at Pueblo West Campground and Arena in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

There are pros and cons to this park. The pros: large sites, very quiet, no rules as far as we could see. The cons: can be very windy and that means dusty, there are at least 4-5 loose big dogs that our small (leashed) dog had some problems with (the cons of "no rules"). In short, if you don't mind a lack of rules and like to be left alone this is a decent place. They have an arena where they have rodeos and other horse events periodically which were fun to see (for free). We stayed 6 weeks and will return if back in the area. We camped at Pueblo West Campground and Arena in a Fifth Wheel.
