Easy off and on I25. All utilities worked fine. Did not use the WiFi. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a pull-thru site that was long enough for our coach and toad. We unhooked and went to the store. Our site was not level and the same was true for most of those around us. The back end was lower than the front and we were not able to level up without lifting the back tires off the ground which is a bad idea and we did not do. It was okay for a one night stay. We travel in a motorhome. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

We really try to avoid KOA because we think they are over priced and this one is no different. Sometimes that's all that's available. Maybe we are spoiled after our recent stay at Elkhorn Ridge in Spearfish, SD. I just expect more for $51. Gravel sites, picnic tables and some grass between sites. Our cable hookup was on the opposite side of the RV hookup so we would have had to stretch the cable across the lot about 30 feet. We were lucky to pick up one satellite. Just stayed one night. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived and were escorted to our spot. I drive a 45 foot Travel Supreme Select and tow a GMC Canyon. The site was big enough with parking for the toad. The sites are gravel but level with grass between sites. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The park offers mini-golf, kids play area, pool and probably a lot more. We only stayed for 1 night and visited Bishops Castle while we were here ( a must see about 35 minutes away in the mountains ). There are several dog parks and dog duty stations all around. This is a family friendly park with space for tent camping and some nice looking cabins. I would stay here again. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

We were unable to find any space in any RV park for 100 miles. Everything was jammed. Also, severe thunderstorms were developing as we called all the parks in Pueblo, Colorado Springs and even Cheyenne. I called the KOA in S. Pueblo and they had no room either. Then I asked "do you have a field where we can just plug in?" Then the said, "yes, we have an overflow area and one space left. Its $50 for one night. We took it and had to backtrack and drive 30 miles south. I don't know why RV parks don't voluntarily tell you they have an overflow area without asking, but it saved the day. They had 50 amp service. Full hookups at the park are $45 so we were charged higher but at the time, were desperate. The staff was very nice. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are so many tourist areas on the East side of the Rockies, if traveling in the summer when school is out, make sure you have reservation. we normally travel after Labor day and getting into parks is not a problem, but we were astounded at how many RVs were scrambling to get a site. a nearby lake at Pueblo, had 500 sites and every one of them was filled up.

Check-in was fast and friendly. Interior roads gravel and well maintained, easy to maneuver. Site was level. Utilities worked as they should, WiFi worked good. Escort to site. If coming from the south and you are taller than 13ft 3in don't get off exit 108. One lane tunnel !!! Go to exit 110 and come back south on I-25. Call ahead. This is our second stay at this campground and we will return again as we like this park. The staff is friendly and accommodating to our needs. We wanted to extend our stay on a Friday night and they found room for us. The park grounds are clean and maintained as well as the sites. We mentioned finding dog dirt on our site and staff quickly cleaned it up.(Shame on our fellow campers). The pool looked clean and inviting but a storm and our schedule prevented us from trying it out. Electric power was good as was the water and pressure. Their wifi was the best I have found in a campground- fast and no drop outs. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Pueblo is about 20 miles away but has everything you may want or need. The town of Colorado City has a small grocery store and a couple of restaurants and fuel was cheaper then in Pueblo.

A bit high for a KOA, but a good value considering the location and the holiday rates (4th of July). Second time at this park. Two nice, but little, dog parks. Some nice views. Very friendly and attentive staff. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

Large KOA, lots of sites mostly empty this time of year. Nice dog park, good TV and WiFi. Very friendly and helpful staff. Seems like there is a lot to do, though for us just an overnight stop. If you are traveling south on 25, this is a much nicer alternative to the KOA in Raton. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

Great Park, we were here only one night so didn't use a lot of their amenities. Showers and bathrooms very clean. Staff nice and we were shown our site which was helpful. Office was nice with some basic groceries, ice cream, and souvenirs. Had a mini golf course, pool, and playground. My only complaint which isn't really a complaint is it is a little pricey for an overnight but I wouldn't think anything of it if we were staying in the area for tourist activities. I would definitely stay here again. Nice scenery from our site and we had plenty of room on our site. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice Park, Excellent Workcampers, but an obviously older park with narrow sites. When you have your 'Slides' out, you are too close to your neighbor. Some people would call this a Sardine Can, park, but it was very Clean, and not much highway noise. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.

It's very easy to get to from I-25. We only stayed one night, but it appears to be a popular place. There were many families here enjoying the pool. Our site was level. The breaker box was a shared set up. Sites are a little close. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Truck Camper.

Like other KOA's, they are older and not originally built for the now much bigger RV's. We were in our 45' Class A and towing our 20' pickup . Trying to maneuver out of the campgrounds and had to literally move boulders out of the street. If campers would be more considerate about parking their tows closer into their sites, we might have made that tight corner. We had a quiet nights rest. The staff has always been courteous. We camped at Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA in a Motorhome.
