The camp hosts (in site #1) are very friendly and helpful. The upkeep of this place is very good. As others have noted, this place has a row of parallel sites on all gravel roads that are angled but very close together. If you have slideouts you will have to eyeball the aspen trees and adjust before you get settled. Sites don't have firepits, pads, picnic tables or anything of the sort. You can set up a chair and watch your neighbor dump tanks to their sewer connection. But turn another direction and see some fantastic views of the mountains over towards Steamboat Springs. Overall the place was good but $50 a night is a little steep for what you get. $40 would make it a much better value for the amenities and bump up the rating for me. But being only 7 miles from Steamboat Springs, it has location going for it. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Motorhome.

Basic park with good location to Steamboat Springs. Easy pull thrus. Wifi was very weak. No OTA TV available. Sprint cell service was good. This park is good for adults but doesn't have anything for kids. A good base to explore the area. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fish Creek Falls hike was great. Go early to beat the crowd. Also the Yampa River Core bicycle path was great.

I can't say enough about this resort. We stayed here for 2 weeks. We've been full-timing at high end parks around the country for 6 years. This park is just simply excellent. The sites are long, not wide. They are all pull through. Only 27 sites. The sites are parallel to one another and the views from each site are spectacular mountains, fields and greenery. They care for the resort impeccably. Always grading, mowing, beautifying. I've never been in a park where ALL residents go idle speed, always. It's like there is an unspoken respect for beauty and serenity. Thank you so much to the owners for your dedication which makes weary travelers' lives so much richer! We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Adequate RV Park for visiting Steamboat Springs area. Sites are gravel and in a long line adjacent to an elevated ranch area. Some maneuvering required to avoid trees with slides. A grassy/natural area separates the sites from the highway, where you can walk your dog. Lots of thistles. Hookups adequate. No picnic table. Roadway is gravel and very dusty with each vehicle passage. Check in at site 1. Cell and WiFi ok but we were parked next to it. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for seven nights. This is a nearly perfect place to stay for a trip to Steamboat Springs. It's a small park, and sites are close together, but because you are parked diagonally, it feels like you have more room. The views are beautiful. There is lots of space for dog walking, kids playing games, etc. The campground is very well maintained. There is Wi-fi available which worked well for our surfing and checking email, etc. Two antennas provide the signal throughout the park. There are two buildings with shower, restroom and laundry so you never have to walk very far. The washer and dryer are from the 90s but have been very well maintained. They are not coin operated, but a donation is asked for to cover costs. I had several packages delivered to the campground and the host was very gracious in accepting them and bringing them to me. We visit Steamboat often and I will definitely stay here again. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Obviously, this is very close to Steamboat Springs, but also visit the town of Craig, CO which has a great used bookstore, some good restaurants, a recycling drop off station and the Museum of Northwest Colorado - not to be missed. Also close by are the towns of Clark, Oak Creek and Yampa.

Your take on this park depends on your expectations. This is a very good campground, but it is not a "resort." If you're looking for a swimming pool, miniature golf, playground for the kids, camp store, etc. you'll need to look elsewhere. So what does this CG have going for it? 1) 25 easy pull-through sites approximately 60 feet long; 2) The two bathroom buildings are clean and well-maintained with a washer and dryer on the womens' side (not coin operated, but a donation is requested if you use them); 3) There are two aspen trees between each site which, though not fully mature yet, do provide some foliage and a bit of shade; 4) Although right off Federal Hwy 40, it is far enough back from the road that traffic noise is not at all obtrusive; 5) The sites are flat, packed gravel, and leveling is easy; 6) It is only about a ten-minute drive into Steamboat Springs. What are the negatives? 1) Minimal amenities; 2) The water source is a well, and iron periodically leaks through even with a filter in line; 3) There is approximately 9 to 10 feet between sites of unirrigated grass which is tighter than one would like; 4) The aspen trees mentioned are spaced such that getting out slides and an awning can require a bit of back-and-forth positioning to make it work; 5) There are only two "community" picnic tables and fire rings for the entire CG; 6) There are no hiking or biking trails at or near the CG as this is actually part of a very large ranch. One huge plus for those who travel with dogs is this: Across the outer drive is an approximately two-acre wide open mowed field where your dogs are allowed to run freely. The hosts merely request that you pick up after your pets as a courtesy to others. It is not fenced, so your dogs must be under verbal command. But if they are, your canines will have a blast running and sniffing all over this open space. If you're looking for a good place to either overnight or spend time in Steamboat Springs this is a good choice. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very small park. All sites are pull-throughs. Sites are level and a decent size. There are no amenities other than bathrooms and showers. When you enter the park the camper in site #1 is who you check in with and pay. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Motorhome.

We spent three nights here; we found most rigs in the park were self contained large units, so not as many folks using the two restroom showers as some parks. Of the three nights there, our restroom shower was not serviced during our entire stay. For the rate, we'd give this park a low value; that said, the only real alternative for full service in the Steamboat area is another park, where we've stayed on past trips there, overcrowded and overrun facilities. Frustration with Eagle Soaring was just the lack of bathroom/shower servicing; otherwise we were content there. Not a well maintained RV campground in our minds. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Motorhome.

Only two parks in Steamboat to choose from. This one is better than the KOA in town. Very nice setting in a meadow out of town about 6 miles. I only went into restrooms because that is where the washer and dryer are. They definitely needed a little TLC. Glad I had our own facilities. Definitely too pricey but again, not much choice. Definitely worked for us for a few nights while passing through the area. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is about 6-7 miles west of Steamboat Springs in the middle of nowhere. There is a train track across the highway from the park & when a train passes it honks it's horn - doesn't seem to be on a set schedule though. Sometimes it was during the day & sometimes at night. Otherwise it's pretty quiet. Site was spacious and pretty level. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Steamboat Springs is a cute little town with some fun little shops. But the gondolas that run up to the top of the mountain where there's a really nice restaurant we were looking forward to going to was closed when we got there. Enough things to keep you busy for 2-3 days this time of year.

This park is small and it's about 4 miles west of the edge of Steamboat, but it's peaceful and it's in a beautiful setting. The Wi-Fi is pretty good for an RV park, but the Verizon cell phone service is touchy, with only 1-2 bars of 3G. The park is very well maintained and the managers are very friendly and accommodating. There is a washer and dryer in both of the Ladies' restrooms and use of the machines is on a donation basis. It is dusty and you have to drive slowly in the park to keep the dust down. Overall, we found the park to be very pleasant. We will stay at Eagle Soaring RV park again. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Motorhome.

There is one row of very narrow sites. Awnings touched the trees on both sides. The sites are not level and low with water pooling when raining to the point that some sites had small portable sump pumps running. The gravel road is not treated for dust at all. When dry it is very dusty and everyone is made to loop around the whole park coming and going. The bathrooms were full of dead Earwigs. Earwigs were over running the camp sites as well. I had a nest of hundreds when I pulled the jack up. I did not put any of our outside equipment back in the trailer. After brushing and washing I put it all in the truck bed instead. We will not stay here again. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

I don't know how much it cost to build a campground but the people that built this one did the bare minimum. Very close between spaces, nothing but weeds between spaces and the area between the spaces is so un-level that it is just about impossible to even sit in a chair. The one road around the campground is so dusty that the lady that checked me in said that she gets dusted every time someone drives by and my coach and tow vehicle were filthy by the time I got parked. The area between the sites was so un-level that my sewer had to run uphill. I was parked about 100 feet from the Wi-Fi tower so the only good thing I can say is that it worked well. Very highly overpriced for what you get but there isn't much to chose from in the area so I guess that think that they can charge whatever they want. I would drive farther if I had to next time to keep from staying here again. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park is 6 miles west of town. The other RV park was full so we stayed here. It is very high priced for what you get. All sites are pull-throughs. Many sites are occupied by seasonal workers. Facilities are minimal; 2 men's and 2 ladies' rest rooms with shower. Washer and dryers are in the ladies room. No office and no supplies for sale. There is grass between the sites and a few have picnic tables. Water hookups might require a extra hose. RR tracks are nearby but trains are not frequent. One of the most spartan RV parks we've ever seen. We camped at Eagle Soaring RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
