If you look at the map of of Colorado and Western Nebraska/ Kansas you'll see a distinct lack of population centers (towns) and even fewer RV CG's. So we were delighted to find this place. Over all impression: neat, well laid out, quiet, and well cared for. Roads: gravel and easy to get around on. Site: gravel and flat with room for the car but we had to disconnect the toad to park it. Power 20,30,50 amp with sewer. Bathroom and showers were clean. The shower had good pressure, plenty of hot water and was roomy. Their WIFI was fast and free, Verizon phone and Mifi worked well too. The staff was friendly and helpful. They are located close to town and have several restaurants and all that beautiful downtown Wray has to offer. We'd stay here again if we're in the area. We camped at Wray Hitch N' Post in a Motorhome.

This staff was very nice. Even though the had their wires crossed and almost cost me a FHU. But they accommodated us. While there was no grass around the site it was well maintained. Keep in mind you are in the middle of no where so if you are looking for a 5 star place this isn't it, but all things considered it is a 5 star for the area. We camped at Wray Hitch N' Post in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy in and out for our 45' motor home and Jeep toad. Level pull through. Didn't have to unhook We got the last space at 3:30pm. A little off the beaten path, but a real nice place. Friendly owner. We'll definitely stay here again. Nice and clean, level. Just what an overnight stop should be. We camped at Wray Hitch N' Post in a Motorhome.

Very small park (17 sites?). Very nicely kept grounds. Most sites are pull-thru and FHU. There are a few back-in W/E sites. Sites are level. There is a laundry we but we did not use it. Open so satellite signal no issue. AT&T and Verizon were fair signals. All utilities worked good. WIFI was good. You are in the middle of nowhere out here, so not much to do. We were only here for a night and it was peaceful. Great for a place to relax! Very nice owners. There is no shade, but there is a row of evergreens on the south side of the park that make a great wind block. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Wray Hitch N' Post in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park just outside of Wray. Stayed here over Labor Day weekend. As we were traveling in Owner called and said she would not be there to greet us but to choose a site and she would register us later. I thought that was a very nice thing to do. The FHU sites are gravel and plenty of room. The wind break is very nice at keeping the winds from howling through the campground. The park is up on a bluff and gave very nice views, especially of some of the thunderstorms passing by. The grassy area for tents and back in's was very nice. The owner was very friendly and cheerful, even offered us Ice Cream one day. The WiFi was great, some of the best we have had. We did not have to bring out the mobile hotspots which was nice. There were some long term people but everyone was friendly. It was very quite at night.

No real negatives but a couple of things that some might want to know about. We did notice the morning wake up call by the local Donkey but it was funny for the most part, I suppose if you stayed for a long time it might get old. The utilities are in an area contained by a 6 inch fence that causes a bit if a problem with the sewer dump. Road noise was not all night and generally not bad. Did hear a couple of trains but sleeping was very good and uninterrupted by noise.

We will be going back at some point since it was so nice a peaceful. I would recommend reservation since it can get full at some times of the year. We camped at Wray Hitch N' Post in a Travel Trailer.

This is a great little spot to stay overnight after crossing the Nebraska prairie. Although it is filled with many long-termers (electrical workers on wind towers), they are all nice folks with newer, well kept trailers. Reservations are highly recommended. Owner was very friendly and helpful, the pull-throughs are wide and convenient and the restroom/shower facilities clean are and well kept. About the only drawback is when the wind is in the north, you can smell the feedlot, but that's true of all eastern Colorado. We will definitely keep this on our top list of stays in the future. Is there anywhere more empty than Eastern Colorado? It could become the new State of West Kansas and no one would notice. All of which makes the "Wray Hitch'n Post" so welcome. If you check RVPR map for US385 in East Colorado you'll see.
This is a small park, 20 sites, on US385 South of Wray. The long, pull through sites are almost all occupied by permanents. They save a couple of pull throughs for travelers, as they did for us. Call first!! There are smaller back-ins that would accommodate most average rv's willing to unhook their tow and forgo sewer. These back-ins have grass and trees, the pull throughs are all gravel. Utilities are well placed, wi-fi was very good, no cable but antenna tv brings in lots of channels from Denver.
The owners are new and working very hard to upgrade and beautify this park. Their house is on the premises, you sort of register in their front room. The wife was fun to talk to and told us all about their plans. She gave us a promotional pen and note paper with their name and info. I don't think I've been given something at a RV Park other than a bill. I thought it was nice.
The park is very pretty with lawns and flowers. It is clean and well maintained. The permanents are neat and tidy; having the owner on site probably helps. These men all seemed to work with power lines. They worked hard and were very quiet. We stayed up later than they.
The bathrooms are in a bldg with the laundry. The facilities are small but very clean. There is a man's and a woman's bathroom and two uni-sex showers. Disregard any reference to pay showers in older posts. This has been discontinued. The coin boxes are still there but taped over. These rooms were obviously monitored and tended all day.
What is needed is signage! The large, night lit, sign is so weathered and bleached that it is illegible. Watch very carefully south of Wray or you'll miss it. This was a very comfortable night on a very empty highway. We camped at Wray Hitch N' Post in a Motorhome.

This park is an easy access from Wray. It is a very clean and well maintained RV park. There are some long term residents. The showers are pay. The current owners have sold the park and we were told that the new owners intend to continue operations. There is some road and train noise, but a fan muffled it for us. We camped at Wray Hitch N' Post in a Motorhome.

So glad we found it as their callback came after we were already hooked up. The campground sign is big but faded...at 45 mph (outskirts of town) we did a U-turn as had passed it. Set off the road on private homestead, just a gem. Note, this is the ONLY campground north of Burlington CO south of Julesburg. Burlington's campground was a deserted inner city campsite! Good Wi-Fi signal; good antenna TV reception. The owners might want to post a sign in bathrooms or tell people at check in that the bathroom/ shower door knob is a twist lock. Had never encountered one before; not rocket science to figure out; did so after my shower!! Would come again. Very friendly place; long term oil workers, but overnight spaces were available. Dog liked it too. We camped at Wray Hitch N' Post in a Motorhome.

Given its location, well away from an Interstate or a major tourist stop, it is quite nice. An older park (17 years) it is in excellent condition. Park owner (?) is quite nice. Sites are level with well located utilities. Well lit for late arrivals. Despite repeated efforts we could not connect with the WiFi. Be careful when approaching the park; it is on the right (east side) of the highway. The sign is quite faded and hard to read. On entry, stop in front of the house. Do not turn to the left side of the house. We camped at Wray Hitch N' Post in a Travel Trailer.
