Very Disappointed ! This was our first time back at Mystic as a KOA park. We had been here many times when it was Highland Orchards and it was always good. Not anymore ! Our site to be was 517, could not even get into the site because of the low tree branches. Our unit is 13'4" high and we were snagging the branches trying to get in the site. Most of the trees in that row are the same way, over grown for the site. So after talking with the office we were put on site 528 that is suppose to be a premium site that is way over priced at 96.00. You do get a concrete patio with table and chairs and stone parking area, but its all grown up with weeds and grass so you don't see much of the stone. The 50 amp electrical was poor we hardly had 110 v at best. Poor cable connection and picture quality. Wi-Fi was not that good either. In talking with some of the seasonals the power and the low hanging trees have been issues for quite some time and nothing seams to get done about it. They have added many cabins to this park. I think the money could have been better spent correcting the other issues in this park first. Not the same campground it once was. KOA management is not maintaining it very well. Don't think we will be going back ! We camped at Mystic KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We had what is called a patio site. Very good level site, fire pit, concrete patio etc. These sites had an open view of a field and other RVs over a 100 yards away. We thought it was really pricey for what it is. Cable TV was sketchy even after replacement of a connector. But we have satellite, so it was not a major deal. We were concerned when we made the reservation because of the park proximity to I95. But noise was minimal and not an issue. We camped at Mystic KOA in a Motorhome.

We were not given escort to our site. Roads were narrow and our site was not level & right next to highway with extreme traffic noice. Grounds were unkept & grass had recently been mowed in play & dog walking areas (after apparently a long time). Children & pets were covered in grass after coming back from these areas. Pool area was sub par (broken furniture, umbrellas & stands leveled with newspapers). Staff was friendly but seemed at times too busy for even simple tasks (we purchased wood while registering, were told it would be delivered but never received it till the next afternoon when we walked back to office to remind them). Overall very disappointing for a KOA & definitely not to normal standards. Picnic table in site badly damaged - making it dangerous for children if not always covered. We camped at Mystic KOA in a Motorhome.

Difficult turn, up a steep hill to get to the site they put us in. There were other, better sites so not sure why they stuck us in the back 40. Site was very unlevel, had a wooden patio that was so high we couldn't open our door as electric stairs came out and crashed into the side. We had to move away from the "crate patio" which made it difficult to park the car and then we just barely reached the hookups. The sites could use some TLC. We camped at Mystic KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here with a large tour group so we were led to our site after unhooking the tow car. The site was not level and the tires came off the ground in the front. Very short site as we had to park our tow car on the grass next to the RV and almost in the neighbor's site. The roads are very narrow and made it very difficult for our big rig to make the wide turns to exit. We had to back up a couple of times so that we would not scratch the sides of the rig on the overgrown trees. The staff were very friendly and our pooches liked all of the dog walking areas available. We would not stay here again if in the area. We camped at Mystic KOA in a Motorhome.

Attended a rally at this campground and had to get a premium pull thru site. It was very hot this week and the 50 amp electric could not keep up. 106 Volts and our EMS kept kicking out. Even running the HWH on gas, the EMS kept kicking out. Sites were fine, water, cable, sewer all fine, just poor electric. Campground said, yeah, we know.... We camped at Mystic KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Most often at a KOA you will be led to your site, however we were not taken to our site and missed the turn and had to unhook car and back up. I always thought being taken to a site was a great way to start out, especially at an unfamiliar campground - sad to see this amenity gone. Kids on bikes were riding all around us as we were backing up, again an escort would have avoided this issue - cuz kids will be kids. Roads dusty when we were there and space a little tight. Not supposed use one's washer/dryer here, which a problem for us after 3 days of dry-camping. Lots to do here with kids - dog park not worth going into because small & unkept, but plenty of space to walk dogs otherwise. We camped at Mystic KOA in a Motorhome.

Kind of an old KOA, adequate for a few nights stay but I wouldn't spend more than that here. Check-in was okay but I asked for a site without trees and of course when I pulled to my site it was in between 2 large trees. I stopped and called the office & went through available sites and found one without trees. Sites are gravel and not level at all; I extended my levelers and still we were tilting forward; very close to your neighbor which mens you will hear their music, dogs barking, etc. Nice playground for kids. We camped at Mystic KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a convenient stop off I-95; it also is one of the rare campgrounds in New England that is open year-round. As we find with most KOAs, the sites are too close together. We had to listen to our neighbor's very noisy furnace all night long. Since we were there off-season, the pool wasn't open. We camped at Mystic KOA in a Motorhome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mystic KOA! It was clean and kid friendly. Our kids, 8 and 10, met new friends right away. The KOAs are pricey but they always seem to have the best families camping at them. We had a ball partying with three families from New York. We visited the Mystic Aquarium and it was a pleasant surprise! Super clean and the exhibits were to notch. A must visit. The beluga whales are fantastic. Having so much fun makes it easy to write a 10 star review. Kids loved the bouncy pillow and we loved the safe feeling we had as we let them run free with their newly found friends. We camped at Mystic KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Pull throughs are close and unlevel. Large CG with lots of cabins and many full timers. Full timers are removed from the transient area. Lots of noise from 95 but AC drowned out most. Dog park is quite a hike from the pull throughs and very small. Not made for dogs the size of a lab but at least she could be off leash. Grass in dog park definitely needed cutting. Lots of large open space. Typical KOA with activities, pool, etc. but we are retired and didn't participate in activities. Clean laundry facility and constant cleaning of rest rooms at pool. We camped at Mystic KOA in a Motorhome.

This is one of the few campgrounds in Ct. We were visiting family and used this as a stopover on our travels. We were in the pull thru A section. Long pull thru site. This was good as sites are on the narrow side, and many of the hookups are over in the neighboring site. Sewer connection is 2-3 feet from the water connection.
Friendly staff, plenty of space to walk dogs. Playground and pool. We pulled in local channels via antenna. But they do have cable. Wifi was adequate. We will stay again. We

Mystic Seaport is about 15 minutes away. About $20-25/adult, will give discount for AAA. Think Williamsburg on the water. Worthwhile in that it's both entertaining and informative. (Stop by Mystic Diner on way in for a good, relatively inexpensive meal). Groton Navy Submarine museum also nearby (free). Could do both in one day. Mystic Pizza II about 2 miles away and very good.
