We have stayed at multiple campgrounds thru the years and by far this has been the best yet! We will definitely come back and visit this one again! All the campground workers were more then generous, understanding and helpful no matter the situation. Overall the park is extremely clean (despite some negative review this campgrounds is regularly mowing and weed eated along with a litter free environment). The park includes clean, maintained laundry and bathroom facilities, a spacious pool area with plenty of lounge areas and pavilion area for friends and family to congregate and socialize in. There is a family game room for fun! They have a creek running along side of the campgrounds for fishing fun. My favorite thing is the campground's community garden. Each site is very roomy and has it's on bonfire pit for relaxing evenings to share time with your family, friends and fellow camping neighbors. The park is animal friendly as well which is a big plus! We would definitely recommend this campground for families and friends to visit when stopping thru Thomaston, CT! We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beware if you stop just for overnight in their one pull thru spot, you will have no cable, not a hope of getting satellite and no OTA channels. Just wish they had informed us of this before we made the one night $53.00 reservation. My husband and I have been traveling for 4 months and really need the diversion that TV affords. The park is clean, almost all seasonal RVs. Not a lot of space to walk your dogs even though it is across the street from a state park. We weren’t unhooking and it looked to be quite a hike. Oh yes, their WiFi does not reach to this pull through site. $53. Really?? We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Motorhome.

We only stayed one night so were able to get a pull through no- frills site. Site was level. Utilities worked just fine. Any problems with electrical noted in previous review had been resolved. This park has a new owner and very conscientious park manager. We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Motorhome.

The campground is in a good location between Waterbury and Bristol off RT 8. It is clean, quiet and friendly. Nice pool, nice laundry facilities. Decent sized site. Conscientious maintenance staff. They are constantly doing improvements and upgrades to the already well-maintained campground. We will use this as our base again when we come to visit friends in area. We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Campsite hookups on the wrong side, site not clean when arrived, broken sewer hose connector in drain, unpleasant site attendant. Front desk was pleasant. New Owners, electricity erratic, 30 AMP NOT PROPER - Air conditioner would not operate, and refrigerator would not operate on electric. Brand new trailer. Took it back to the dealer, no problems with the unit. Sight next to mine told me he had same problem previously. Putting up new sign instead of taking care of immediate problem. Site 23 Terrible. Needs work primary seasonal. Will Not return. We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a fine place for an overnight. The pool and bathrooms make up for all factors that could be negative. Positive: pool is lovely and clean, bathrooms are new and clean, staff is very very friendly, laundry room is clean and new, quiet Negatives: not convenient to get to, lots of dirt as it looks like they are trying with the grass but no results quite yet, $50 seems a little high for a little parking spot in the dirt We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Maybe a 6.5 right now but I gave the campground a 7 for direction. This is a park in transition. New owners purchased the campground in Feburary of '18 and they have been making major improvements. Even in the week we were here we saw major changes. There is a lot of landscaping and hardscaping going on. The new shower/laundry building is very nice. WiFi is available at the sites if not super fast. Some things like wood decks and stairs are pretty rough but they are on the list to be repaired or replaced. The store is new but there is not much inventory yet. Electricity was an extra metered charge. Sites are pretty close but everybody was very friendly and considerate and we are pretty social anyway. The staff was excellent. There was a mixup in our paperwork and we arrived after the office closed. Ten minutes after calling the posted emergency number someone was there to check us in. There is a pretty busy road adjacent to the campground so traffic noise is noticeable. While not what we would consider a "destination ", we would not hesitate to stay here again when in the area. We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Thomaston town center was cute and there is a state park across the street. We were in the area for family so we did not have time to really explore the area.

A very accommodating RV Park. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The owner went out of her way to make sure we had a spot. Fairly easy to get to from the interstate. We had a back in which was easy to get to with a small patio on the side and picnic table. Very clean quiet little Park. Base price is $48 a night. But if you run your air conditioner it's $3 add a extra and table is $2 a day extra. It was worth it to have a nice quiet day. We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hard to find the park with narrow steep interior gravel roads. Primarily permanent people and no upkeep on the park. Buildings are in need of repairs and park is weed infested. I assume they are the only park in the area. Would not stay there again. We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Park is scruffy & definitely in need of some TLC, but folks were very nice & fellow campers as well. Seems like only 2 pull thrus. Good stop over being only 10 minutes from I84.

Overpriced for this small park & charged 3. For air conditioning. We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Motorhome.

Fees, fees, fees. The new trend in campgrounds, fees for everything. At $43.50/night for 30amp FHU one would think that would include the amenities but it doesn't. If you want 50amp it's extra, want to use your A/C it's extra, cable is extra unless you staying awhile. WIFI is a hotspot and not usable at the site. Entry/exit driveway very tight. Owners are very nice but the fees detract from the overall experience. Cash only, no credit cards. We camped at Branch Brook Campground in a Motorhome.
