This is the 47th park we have visited this year. It is not a site in a pasture nor an RV Resort as found in the Southwest. This park is mainly a seasonal park and it appears there may be a number of permanent residents. The road and sites are gravel, with lots of shade trees. Our site (21) was not level, but others appeared to be. Good space between sites. The WiFi was strong and digital over-the-air TV signals were good. We couldn't get a satellite signal (we have a roof mounted unit). Cell service was good (Verizon). The park is quiet. The laundry room only has two washers/dryers resulting in wait times. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Overall a basic campground that served our needs. We would stay again. - SKMO
Sep 2011 - $42.00
This campground is terrible, very poorly maintained. From the entrance road which needed serious upgrading to the bathhouse, everything was in serious need of attention. The bathhouse was poorly maintained, three toilet stalls in Womens side, only one in working condition. It was dirty the entire time. The grounds were not well kept and the staff were not pleasant. We were actually repulsed by this campground and would suggest it be avoided at all costs! - eastman
Jun 2011 - $45.00
This place was poorly maintained. The restrooms are filthy. The roads are full of large potholes. There are a lot of trees overhanging the road. Very dusty as some of the perm. campers "keep the road hot" constantly driving to the trash can etc. It is very overpriced for the money. Take my advice and keep going! - crackers

This is a mostly seasonal park with many old run-down units. The access roads within the park are in awful shape with potholes and overhanging branches. They need to do better with making people pick up after their dogs. Many remains lying about. You must travel through several residential neighborhoods before reaching park. The literature says it is big rig friendly, but we do not agree. We will not stay here again. - birdlady4810

This campground has definitely changed for the better since the last review that was left in 2003. My husband and I (and our cats) really enjoyed this campground and we highly recommend it. We've been to many campgrounds and this is one of our favorites. It is in a very nice neighborhood in Tolland, CT. We ended up staying for much longer than we had originally planned. When you first pull into the campground the sites are out of view. Beyond the office you will drive down a lovely pine tree-lined road beside a small lake- beautiful setting. One of the owners was frequently, deligently attending to the upkeep of this lake (which allows swimming). There is a great selection of wooded or open sites. For the children there is ball field, playground, rec hall (with video games, pool tables and more) and the lake. They also have propane available and a small general store. Furthermore, the restrooms and grounds were always clean. We saw a maintenance man at the restrooms everyday as well as someone attending to the grounds. The staff and owners were so friendly. They truly went above and beyond- great people. Definitely give this one a try! - bandh

Sep 2017 - $47.00
Terrible experience. They put us in the grass at the back of the campground with old abandoned trailers. Booked a pull thru 6 months prior. No sewer hookup. Road back to area was rugged with big potholes. Overall worst campground we have ever been in. - redhead3416
Aug 2017 - $45.00
The campground was packed. Our site was sufficient. Flat and pea gravel. The bathrooms were very clean. We had grey water only. Dump station was fine in the end. We had 25+ channels over air. No CTV. Verizon was ok, 2 bars. The roads are a little bumpy in the park. Worked for us 2 adults 2 kiddos 9,11! - stanner17
Jun 2017 - $54.00
Older park, mostly dirt roads with pot holes. Sites are fairly level, grass with picnic table and fire ring. A lot of seasonal campers. Poor cell service (Sprint) and only about 5 tv channels. Utilities okay 30 amp, good water pressure and sewer. Grass long in fenced dog park. - philandterri35

Very nice military campground. Quiet area with wide sites and clean showers and clean FHU's. Office staff very helpful with local attractions and base information. Call ahead as they do not take reservations. - boomerlee
Aug 2016 - $20.00
This is a first come first served military campground. It is not a great campground either. Parking pads are concrete but entrance to site is just dirt, rocks and dead grass. Fire ring was overgrown with weeds and full of trash. Picnic table was useable. Bathhouse is strange especially the shower area. There is a big room in both men and women's restrooms. There is only a long bench for all three showers to use and absolutely no privacy before or after stepping into/out of the shower. The room is quite large and it seems that some sort of privacy could be arranged. The water does not taste great but the utilities (no sewer) worked fine. Verizon cell and hot spot worked well. The campground is not easy to find and we got an unfriendly feeling from the gate guard to the campground staff. There are several commercial business near the campground that were busy through most of the night. This is not up to the usual standards of most military campgrounds. We would not stay here again. - roadking
May 2016 - $20.00
This park has some real potential. We stopped here for two nights on our way to New Hampshire, so the location was ideal for our route. When you arrive, you will enter the main gate, go through the traffic circle, pass the the gas station where you will turn left. This road will lead right to the campground. To echo what others have said, the camp is treated without a lot of care. We arrived on a Saturday after the office closed and chose a spot. We had to inspect three different sites since the first two were 50 amp service only and we are 30 amp. Sites are back in with water and electric only. We chose site 11 which gave us good TV antenna coverage as well as Verizon wifi. The pad was concrete and level with plenty of room for our 35 ft fifth wheel and truck. The big negative was the trash in the fire pit that seemed to have been there for some time. This could be a really nice campground, it just needs the attention. If passing through we would definitely stay again. - pfogleboch

It is clear the owners love this piece of land. We didn't use any services while there as we are self contained and spent most time with friends and in Hartford. Spacious and beautiful. Well maintained. Sites could be better marked. Looking forward to our next stay! - User2747
Jul 2017 - $45.00
Cash and check only. It is a little off the highway so it is not easy off, easy on. We stayed here for one night and were parked sideways out in a field. Had plenty of room and the grass was well maintained. Did not drive in the rest of the park, we were right across from the tent camping. Only needed one night so we were satisfied, but would not stay for any length of time. No sewer and could not get satellite, 30 amp service, no wifi. The gentleman in the office was friendly and even came out to help us move some tables to so we could park. Think $45 is a little high for what you get. - Old Farts
May 2012 - $40.00
The owner of this campground is a wonderful lady! She made us feel like we were family during our visit to Mineral Springs. We loved the large property and took some beautiful walks around the campground. We didn't like all of the seasonal campsites--some end up looking a little dumpy in our opinion. We also felt like the campground as a whole was a little rundown and needed some fresh attention. Though we didn't go into the bathhouse, we agreed that we probably wouldn't want to because it looked so old. With that said, the kindness of the campground owner made our family feel so welcomed and we left our stay with very happy family memories. - User2536

An older RV campground. Convenient off I-84 Exit 70. Pull through site was a sharp curved site that was difficult to maneuver through it because of trees and difficult to level. 30/20 Amp service with water. Utilities located on the wrong side of RV, required extra water hose. Dump station on site. No WiFi, 3 bar/4G Verizon service. No cable, didn't check OTA channels. Cash or check only. 70 to 80 percent seasonal residents. Fire pit too close to RV to use. Lake with swimming beach. - Bburgbrewer
Aug 2018 - $45.00
This was interesting as they are listed in the PA book and also listed on the web site but when we arrived they said they no longer accept PA or anything else for a discount so we paid the full price of $45. This was too high for water and electric (no sewer). We did look at the dump and we could not get there because of a very tight turn and very low branches. The site was not level, but did notice other sites that did appear to be level. The positive item is that it is a pretty easy on/off the interstate. - Al and Anne-Marie
Jun 2017 - $35.00
The rate reflects PA + $5 for a pull through site. Access is very good with it being only a short distance from I-84. We were running a little late, but when we called approaching the campground, someone came out and directed us to the site. Very much appreciated. The site was reasonably level and had a newly installed electrical box with 50 amp service. The water outlet was another story however. The faucet was on the passenger side of the site, with a garden hose attached and run under the site in a PVC pipe sleeve to the drivers side. It was serviceable, but using a garden hose for potable water is not a good practice. There are no sites with sewer connections making the $60 normal rate, way out of line. Okay for an overnight at the PA rate. - Good Vibes

Family owned destination park in the foothills of the Berkshires. Friendly and helpful owner and staff. Many family activities each weekend. Nice pool with two adult swim hours. Fishing ponds. Mostly seasonal campers but we stayed for the month in an FHU site with over the air TV and free wifi access. Gravel roads in the park. The FHU sites are reasonably level with gravel, have a stone-ringed fire pit, and are tree-shaded. - Pankie
Jun 2018 - $56.00
Terrible roads for a big Motorhome. There are other roads but, when I asked at the desk, I was told nope that's the only way! Laundry room had 1 washer working and one dryer that did not work. So we had clothes lying all over the rig for two days drying! Interior roads have terrible pot holes and ruts. Pull thru with a 40' MH and a 16' trailer was a challenge. Nice enough park (once you get there) and the pool was awesome. Looks as if, at one time, it was wonderful but we didn't find anyone who really seemed to care. Won't return. - Road Dawg
Sep 2017 - $43.00
The campground was clean. It had ponds to walk around and cabins to rent. The pool was closed but they had a game room, laundry room and other kid play areas. We had lots of shade. We have a 32' travel trailer and our site was not easy to back into or level. - Jeri Gluck

Not clean or comfortable! The only positives are the clean bathrooms & nice size sites, awning to awning. The pool is small pool and the swimming pond is murky & green. Owner came to site one day, 6:00/7:00pm to say someone complained about my sister's dog not being on a leash (he was on an electric fence), and barking excessively. He said, "People live here and have to sleep and work in the morning." Who was sleeping at that hour? Owner wouldn't listen when we explained the electric fence. He said the dog could lunge after someone. They can do that on a rope too! Owner wouldn't listen when we tried to explain that also, and that my sister's dog would bark more on a rope and both our dogs would get tangled, making them both bark more. When I told Owner we also had a dog and whoever complained wasn't just hearing one dog, he said, "So you're telling me YOUR dog is the one barking excessively?" I said, "No, between the two dogs there is a normal amount of barking." As this was taking place, he approached my sister, which made her dog bark. The owner said, "See it's barking now." We pointed out that he was just doing what any dog would do, trying to protect its owner/home. I said I heard other dogs barking excessively and next time I'd complain. He said do that, and left. The next night at midnight I heard fireworks or a gun being fired. I didn't call the emergency number because I fell back to sleep and forgot about it. There were other things that made the campground unclean and uncomfortable. Excessive flies got inside campers and were unbearable. If they mowed before people came to a site, instead of WHILE they were there, it would have helped with the insects. The other unpleasant experience was finding dog poop smeared on the underside of my rug when we packed to leave. This edge of the rug was near our camper, out of our dogs' range, so it was there when we set up camp. I'm thankful we didn't step in it and drag it into the camper. We will never go here again, nor do we recommend it. - A97BlueAngel

As you already know, campgrounds are few and far between in this part of the state, since we have family in the area we stay here at least once each year. Follow their directions carefully, roads are narrow and steep but you will be fine. They are always friendly and will give you an escort, roads are dirt and a bit tight but nothing that can't be handled. Our sites have always been plenty big and fairly level. Mostly seasonal and on weekends lots of kids, but family is what camping is all about. If you are in this area and you need a place to stay they would be a good choice, we travel a 44 foot motorhome. - DRL1950
Sep 2017 - $43.00
Our end site #66 was beautiful and spacious. We really enjoyed the setting. Lots of seasonal sites (seemed like more seasonal than short-term sites) but still a very lovely CG. They escort you to the site upon arrival, and we always appreciate that. Not the easiest CG to access from the highway, but the directions they provide on their website are excellent--do not use directions from your GPS; you'll end up on some tight, steep roads. The interior roads could be graded better. Our campsite was semi-wooded, private, pull-through with full hookups and a lovely firepit. No cable but basic TV from our antenna was fine. Wifi was weak. - Smashcamp

This is great little campground. The owners are awesome and very friendly. Park is well manicured and clean. Not a ton of things to do but they make a very good effort to make the weekends interesting with events and games. Lots of hiking trails all over and not far from the Town of Sturbridge. Nice place to relax and chill. Quiet hours very well observed as the campground seemed to go to bed around 9:00 pm. Try to avoid Dean Hill Road as your route as it's very steep and curvy. Take East Hill Road instead, it may add 2 miles to your trip but a much better ride. Gray water only but dump station available on exit. We will go back next year. - Thomas Beau
Aug 2018 - $38.00
We stayed in the overflow parking area. I never walked around in the park itself. The road in has many turns and we wondered what would happen if another MH was coming from the other direction, very narrow in places. We had this very large field all to ourselves which we liked. We stayed an extra day because one of the pups got sick and had to take it to a vet. Many families there. The two pools and basketball court were close to us. - Sunnie-Wheelhouse
Aug 2017 - $38.00
The park is located in the forest off the beaten path. The highway to the park is narrow, so drive slow. The staff is so helpful and are the nicest people! We liked them all. They also take you to your camp site and assist with parking your RV after registration. It is quiet park, and very nice and clean. We had site O11, which was an excellent site with 30 AMP, water, and a grey sewer. We had a brick fireplace in a raised seating area for our campfire. There was small site lights too on posts. They have a dump station for your black tank. We relaxed and enjoyed our stay here. They have a store, pool, and activities for the kids. The laundry room was clean and inexpensive for wash and dry. There are electronic games, pool table, tv, and internet next to the laundry room. The only ding was the tree sap that got on our truck from the pines. Use the Gojo without the grit to remove it from your vehicles. We enjoyed our stay here, and we would definitely return if in the area again! - Lindy White

Very nice campground. Bathroom and showers were very very clean. Small campground with a lot of hiking near by. Sites were just big enough for tent or small camper, picnic table, and car. Ranger on first shift has been known to go through campers trash. Disturbing I know but ignore him, dispose of your own trash, and have fun. - stemer2003
