They have large sites which was perfect for our group of 18 adults and five dogs. We got two sites side by side, but really could have comfortably all stayed on one. We had 10 tents of varying sizes between the two sites and two pop up canopies. There was ample room for everyone, their gear, and room for the dogs to run on their leads and not get too tangled in anything. We stayed lakeside and couldn't have been happier with our stay. If you are thinking about staying on the backside of the lake, fear not, there are port-o-potties on that end since there is no running water back there. The lake was great even this early in the season. I'm already working my calendar to get back. It was just such a peaceful trip. Every fire pit comes with a grill grate attached, which folds back if you don't want to use it. The sites were BL3 A and B. Even if someone was staying adjacent to you, you wouldn't hear much unless they were really rowdy, great tree coverage really cuts the noise. We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Tent.

An older RV campground. Convenient off I-84 Exit 70. Pull through site was a sharp curved site that was difficult to maneuver through it because of trees and difficult to level. 30/20 Amp service with water. Utilities located on the wrong side of RV, required extra water hose. Dump station on site. No WiFi, 3 bar/4G Verizon service. No cable, didn't check OTA channels. Cash or check only. 70 to 80 percent seasonal residents. Fire pit too close to RV to use. Lake with swimming beach. We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This was interesting as they are listed in the PA book and also listed on the web site but when we arrived they said they no longer accept PA or anything else for a discount so we paid the full price of $45. This was too high for water and electric (no sewer). We did look at the dump and we could not get there because of a very tight turn and very low branches. The site was not level, but did notice other sites that did appear to be level. The positive item is that it is a pretty easy on/off the interstate. We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The rate reflects PA + $5 for a pull through site. Access is very good with it being only a short distance from I-84. We were running a little late, but when we called approaching the campground, someone came out and directed us to the site. Very much appreciated. The site was reasonably level and had a newly installed electrical box with 50 amp service. The water outlet was another story however. The faucet was on the passenger side of the site, with a garden hose attached and run under the site in a PVC pipe sleeve to the drivers side. It was serviceable, but using a garden hose for potable water is not a good practice. There are no sites with sewer connections making the $60 normal rate, way out of line. Okay for an overnight at the PA rate. We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We recently spent 9 nights here while visiting family in the area. There are a number of things that make this place a great campground. First, they honor Passport America any day of the week, which is awesome, because it made our stay incredibly affordable. Second, the folks that work there are really nice. They were friendly, helpful, and obviously interested in making sure their guests were taken care of. Third, the sites were well spaced, heavily treed (which we like) and there was a nice lake on the property.

There are a lot of seasonals throughout the campground, but most sites were well kept. The majority of transient folks seem to only stop for a night or two on their way elsewhere. We basically had our whole area to ourselves for a couple days.

The only minor dings are that there is no sewer service available at the sites. They do have a dump station, but it won't easily fit big rigs like ours. For that they have a weekly honey wagon service. The guy was nice, but there were some equipment problems during the dump, and lets just say, it was kinda gross. The other ding for us is the showers. While they were clean, there was no private area to change outside the shower room. It was just one small shower area. I'm not crazy about changing in front of people or leaving my bag out there or whatever else. It would be great if they improved their shower facilities a bit.

Anyway, these are minor dings. Overall, we were very happy with our experience there and will definitely be back in the future. If you're just looking for a quick place to stop for a night or two on your way through New England, and if you have PA, it is really pretty perfect. We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

Rustic and friendly. Very helpful management. Close to I-84. Lots are gravel and fairly tight to enter/exit. Lovely lake. Open early and late in season for snowbirds. Will stay again. We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

Owner met us next to the office, asked what type of spot and pointed to one, "Will that be OK? Get set up and then we will finish the check in process." Asked for fire wood, brought way more than I was quoted and paid. Excellent service and would come back. We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed at this campground on our way to Maine. Reservation was for a pull thru site with FHU. The site provided was a pull thru of sorts. It was just a pull over off of the campground road. There was no sewer hookup and the water faucet was quite a distance way. However, it was fine for a night stay over on our way north. The campground appeared to be mostly for seasonal sites. The staff was friendly and showed us our site. We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed here two nights while traveling to New Hampshire. Called the day before and was quoted $25 per night for PPA 50 amp, water, no sewer. Upon arrival was told all they had was 30 amp. When I questioned this, they suddenly found a " 50 amp" spot. Turned out it was a corner spot, no gravel, no fire ring and the pedestal had two 30 amp connections. Fortunately I had an adapter to turn two thirty's into a fifty so I made it work but location wise, this has to be one of the worst spots in the park. The park is full of seasonals but they are well kept and clean. There is a lake and things to do. Roads are paved or gravel. For a discounted rate of $35 a night I expected more and felt like I was misled. I won't be back and would not recommend to this to a friend. Clean quiet rustic setting. Friendly helpful staff. 30 amp in the old section near the lake. 50 amp on the hill. Canoes available at no additional cost to campers. No license required to fish, artificial bait only, catch and release. Owner's daughter was greeter at check-in. Owner showed us 2 sites on the hill with 50 amp and 1 site with 30 amp near the lake. We chose the 30 amp. TV reception would be better on some of the hill sites because the park is heavily wooded. We received 12 broadcast channels near the lake. Sites are grassy with gravel entry roads. I had a problem with my car. The owner had an employee take me to town to get necessary parts. I will return. We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

We did not actually stay at this park; had reservation & did not accept site after arrival. Reserved this in April & owner was not truthful as to what was available for sites. OBTW,It is cash only,no CC(we were aware of that) Sent in $100 deposit by check. On arrival a young man(teenager) checked us in and thought we had a pop up which we clearly indicated on reservation a 31 ft Class C/towing. Took us to a site that was uphill/grass/rocky and no sewer & were told to empty our grey tank on the ground.....& they would pump out the black.(environmentalists have at it:) We said this would not work for us & got our check back & asked about deposit and were given $50 back (which was OK w/us) FYI:The rates were $50 & told $25 passport rate but July 4th would be $110. Why bother w/passport?? Liars can figure and figures can lie. I will say the lake looked nice but the rest definitely poor. Would not recommend. Nice rural woodsy place, and management was very helpful. But no cable, sewer or more than 30 amps. Even satellite wouldn't work; too many tall trees. Overpriced for the services available. We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.

We are new to RV camping and found the people in the office to be more than helpful. We had a back-in site and did fine with the staff's help. Restrooms were clean when we arrived and through most of the evening, but needed a little attention by very early morning. We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We left our seasonal campground after approximately 8 years to come to Wilderness Lake. We camped here a couple of times when we first got our camper and should have picked this as our seasonal location. We are coming back as we have personally noticed that the campground has made constant improvements and additions since we were here last and the management completes their improvement and expansion goals while keeping the grounds beautiful and treating their guests like we matter. They provide activities, keep the grounds and building clean, and have handicap access to all buildings. Great place, great people! We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Bathrooms just OK (being generous here). Showers share a dressing area. Hookups just OK. A quiet night; lots of morning birds and a scenic pond. Our Verizon Mi-Fi was spotty at best. Entry road was terrible. All dirt roads and sites. We camped at Wilderness Lake Campground & Resort in a Motorhome.
