44 RV Parks near Bartow, Florida
Mar 2018 - $32.00
The restrooms and clubhouse are kept clean. The pool is nice, but the area surrounding the pool and the clubhouse are being neglected, as is the grass on the RV sites. There are lots of activities for snowbirds. Residents are friendly, but clique-ish. There are a couple of restaurants and a Save-a-Lot in Frostproof, but you have to drive about 12 miles to find more businesses. - Midwest Fiver
Dec 2017 - $40.00
Have visited this park many times and it has gone down considerably. Although there are large sites the rest of the park needs attention. Large sites aren't going to keep guests when the rest is neglected. The wifi is horrible and not everyone can get their own in this remote area. The pool is being kept too cool ( 82 ) for most seniors while pools in parks closeby are 84-86. Despite many complaints the manager refuses to warm the pool to past seasons temps. Hot tubs are often not working and entire pool area isn't cleaned to the standard it once was. If a pool is important for your stay, go elsewhere. Pool furniture is always in disarray and stones around are dirty with weeds growing through. No longer an option to 6/6 requiring one to pay monthly and be an annual, even when you're not here. rates have become too high for the declining amenities. - ginger53
Nov 2017 - $27.00
We booked the winter here. I would rate this park a 9 or 10 if they had cable TV and decent internet. We don't have pets, so no comments there.
We booked this park for the winter when we were told we could get internet service from Frontier Communications. When we arrived, we called Frontier, spent an hour on the phone with them; and were willing to jump through all their hoops: which included having paperwork signed by a notary to prove we are who we say we are. We offered to pay for the services up front: and they wouldn't allow that either. Then they told us they were "capped" at the park and couldn't even offer the service.
We are VERY disappointed as we wouldn't have come here, had we known that good reliable internet wasn't available. We are currently using their wi-fi, which is passable - but works when it wants to - and this is only November. I am sure by January, we won't be able to get on at all. Even our U.S. hotspot is working sporadically here.
Other than that, the park is clean and pretty and well laid out with lots of activities. Make sure you bring a 'step-down' if you have 30amp service in your rig.
So if internet isn't important to you (or you have your own U.S. cell service/data plan), it is probably a wonderful place to spend the winter. - Kemptvillekids
Nov 2016 - $23.00
We stayed at Lazy Dazy to visit my 95 yo Dad who lives a mile away. Very convenient location. Nice staff, site was satisfactory. Since we were only there to sleep, it was just OK. Lots of traffic noise from US98 - sirens all night long. Bathrooms and showers were cleaned once in our week there & were very dirty after a few days. We chose to shower elsewhere. Won't stay again, but it served our purpose for this trip. - Trailer_Traveler
Oct 2010 - $35.00
Very reasonably-priced RV/mobile home park with management on site. Well maintained with more upgrades to come. Paved interior roads with speed bumps. Grassy lots mowed short and sprayed for insert control. Centrally located clean laundry and restrooms; trash dumpster emptied often. Dump station. Keyed mail boxes available. Propane sales tank just added. Mixture of residents: parents with some children/retired persons; short and long stays. Leashed pets allowed. Extremely convenient location in north Lakeland with Sweet Bay grocery store across the street; Publix, CVS, and Walgreens very near, as well as Wal-mart about a block away. Major shopping center and Orange Bowl Lanes just south. Several golf courses nearby. Our first choice for this area. - kctylers
Sep 2009 - $35.00
The campground is well maintained and clean. They cater to older people and have Bingo and music weekly. There are many shops and restaurants close including Wal-Mart and Sweetbay. We have visited the park many times and will stay there again next time we are in the area. - drea1
Feb 2018 - $22.00
Rate reflects monthly stay. This park has LOADS of potential. Clean it up, fix up the sites, update the infrastructure and this place is a gold mine. Location is perfect for central Florida activities. Lots of seasonal/long term folks who come back year after year. Sites are close but fit our 40' fifthwheel just fine. Saw some bigger units that do take up all available space. All backins except for a handful of overnight spots. It's aging and showing it, everything worked fine but we did lose power for a couple of hours. It's not designed to handle the amount of 50amp rigs now occupying most of the sites. Most of the folks are super nice but some are a little cranky. It is a pet friendly park but some of the neighbors are NOT pet friendly. No WiFi and no cable, but that's not an issue for us. We rarely watch tv and provide our own data for internet. I would stay here again when in the area. - jnlo
Nov 2017 - $30.00
There seem to be a lot of things needing repair/maintenance in this park. The shuffleboard court was full of cracks, the (UN-AIR-CONDITIONED) clubhouse had jalousie windows that could not be opened, the men's room in the clubhouse was a urinal that was non-operational (and a door that could not be locked). There is no cable TV in this park, but OTA was fine. There is no WI-FI unless you want to pay almost $6 for one day (rates are better for longer stays but still...). For some reason, they decided to burn brush along the edge of the lake, producing choking clouds of smoke. The dock/wharf is rotted to the point where nobody can walk on it. Water pressure was a bit low, as was the electric voltage. The door on the pedestal had a sharp edge that bit a little chuck out of my arm when I tried to open the door while hooking up. The sites are called "pull-thru" but, in reality, you just pull straight is and then back out when you leave. We did have a nice view of the "lake" which was right in front of us. I will say that the staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. - dhaney1944
Apr 2015 - $40.00
This park is just off I-4 and very convenient. It is a Snowbird park and almost all residents are seasonal. Everyone we met was very nice and friendly and the park is clean and well maintained.
The park is very old and showing its age. There is little investment in new infrastructure so the concrete pads are cracking, the picnic tables need to be replaced, the water volume/pressure is very limited and our power suffered from undervoltage and breakers tripping at the post. We lost power for short periods on 5 out of the 10 days we were there.
I really like this park, its location and its view of the pond but it needs a serious reinvestment in utilities and upgrades. - Miss Adventure
Mar 2016 - $21.00
This park is primarily filled with snow birds who either own or rent park models, some of which are well worn. Folks there were friendly and there were plenty of planned activities, but definitely an older crowd. It was a safe environment and the few spaces that were rented out for rv's were grass/sand with a small but adequate slab and a picnic table. We were placed into slot 39 and all was well until we got ready to leave. After receiving some heavy rain during our stay, when we tried to leave the truck tires sank quickly into the sand. One of the neighbors came to help and stated that site 39 is particularly notorious for getting people stuck. No problem, the office send a front end loader and chained to our truck to pull us out. All in all not a bad experience and we could and would stay there again. The place just needs a little TLC to make it a great place to stay. - the Fishers
Feb 2016 - $25.00
We stayed here one month, thus the rate is a monthly rate and included utilities. We were pleasantly surprised at how well kept this park was. It is mostly permanent residents with very old trailers, but there are a few RV sites. There were lots of activities and the residents were very friendly. Many permanent sites are for sale as they have just been purchased by a company who is almost doubling their rent. We also found out the site we were in will only be available on a weekly basis next year and the prices were double what we paid. We were visiting friends in the Kissimmee area and this was a perfect location that was away from Orlando/Kissimmee traffic. There is still a lot of traffic and there also is an Amtrak train that runs through in the night. All utilities worked really well including the WIFI. Roads are narrow and take a lot of maneuvering to get into. Ours just happened to be a straight pull in site as you come in the park so wonderful location. - jacknpeg
Jun 2015 - $19.00
Great experience. Easy to find. Didn't pre-book. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Gave us the Summer rate, 24hr free Wi Fi, bit slow but adequate. Very quiet. Almost empty in June as Snow Birds have gone home. We stayed 2 nights and would stay here again. Sites are long and level. - Kings USA Travels
Jul 2016 - $30.00
This is a private class a motorhome park. Lots are rented by current owners. I have been here 7 months with no issues. Clean, secure, beautiful landscape, and pleasant neighbors.
Many park models, and casitas with large paved parking spaces. - sballey
Feb 2014 - $30.00
People are real friendly, management is a different story ,we reserved a week stay and where informed that a week is 6 nights and would have to pay an extra night to make it 7 nights. When did our great government shorten the week in to 6 nights .never heard this kind of nonsense in my life (I refused to pay extra) - dutch101
Jan 2012 - $33.00
They are very nice people. They have a pool, but it was to cold to enjoy when we were there. It did look nice. There are many permanent sites. - cjohn
Feb 2011 - $25.00
This is an adult park and approximately 75% are permanent sites but the staff and residents are some of the most friendly and helpful we have found anywhere. There are activities almost every day and a large church service every Sunday plus a jam session Sunday afternoon during season. The streets are all paved and each site has a concrete patio. Almost all head back north in March so not many activities off season. There is a Wal-Mart 5 miles down the road and some great places to eat. We stayed for 2 weeks and cost is the nightly charge for a week. We will be back next year for a month. - sam&laura
Feb 2017 - $23.00
Sites normally used have only 50 amp service. Campers should be prepared with a 50-30 adapter. The office does not stock them. - Stemor
Dec 2011 - $20.00
The mobile home park is a 55+ community, but the RV part allows younger adults and children. They have a heated pool, a small hot tub, laundry and shuffleboard. The restrooms and laundry were clean and had ample Hot water. The spot we stayed in was very small side-to-side, approx 15' wide, but since we were only here to visit my father, it didn't bother us, although I think we upset some of the other RV owners as they use this site and the 1 next to it as a driveway. My father says that they are trying to improve the RV sites. Rate reflects passport price. Hopefully next year when we come back, they will have them done. - sandimal
Jan 2017 - $20.00
The park is spacious and well kept. There are activities daily. The pool is kept quite warm and is clean. Sites are a nice size and are clean and maintained. Location is very central, but all major attractions are an hour away. Great park. - From Here to There
May 2015 - $22.00
Our rate is based on a monthly stay. We were in the area checking out wintering locations. This park is tops in the area. Pool is excellent size and the whole place is paved except the actual lot you park on is gravel. There is a paved patio and driveway to each site though. Mangers were very nice and accommodating. They have a pot luck monthly that the campground supplies Hamburgers and Hotdogs for. Laundry room is the largest we have seen. 10 Miles either direction you are in a major area with lots of stores and restaurants. Campground is 50% full time residents but there sites are beautiful and kept up. They also made us feel right at home and were not standoffish at all. We will definitely be returning as we made winter reservation for next year. - Lifetraveler
Jul 2012 - $60.00
I stayed here for a week while visiting family in the area. All of the facilities were neat & clean and were obviously well-maintained. The pool was a refreshing retreat for some exercising and cooling off after a long, hot day. My space was large and level, with a clean concrete patio and full hook-ups (50-amp). There was plenty of space between my site and my neighbor. Everyone I met was friendly and happy. I had such a nice time here that I am considering spending a few months here this winter. I recommend this park. - bcbounders
Jun 2018 - $35.00
It's more of a bunch of residences on the lake with RV sites. It is clean and well taken care of. As the name implies this is a fish camp, boats are available to rent and the parking lot can get full of people launching their own boats. This is a great place to winter over in FL as you're in the center of the state close to everything. The full hookup sites are where park trailers have been removed, so you get a concrete pad close to either another RV'er or a park trailer. The regular RV sites are grass with water/electric and a picnic table located right on the lake. Everyone is friendly and it is a nice place to stay, just too crowded for my taste. - Sub Vet
