Jan 2018 - $49.00
Overnight stay. Only had one sight available when reserving for the night. - BerylCop
Aug 2017 - $50.00
This is a good overnight location; however, the sites need some gravel. They are grass and dirt. Since it is summer the park was empty. My site was super long, probably 100 ft and was in the back away from the noise of the truck stop. - Freedom Bus
Apr 2017 - $45.00
Ive stayed here twice so far...first time was pleasant and uneventful. Second time, not so much....Booked and paid in advance. When I checked in, they billed me an additional amount, and didn't let me know. Tried to give me a back in spot, when I specifically paid for a pull thru, due to the ramp on the toy hauler. Power went out during my stay. Booked in advance again this year, only paid portion of the total cost...despite specifying a specific amount....they charged my card the full amount. Place is like a comedy of errors that wind up costing you money. I'd avoid this place at all costs... - John_31558
Nov 2018 - $24.00
This park has new owners, and as of today a new manager. Upgrades are in process, if you've had a bad experience in the past, please stop in and see the difference. The new managers name is Denis and he is on top of making some wonderful changes. - Penny Brown
May 2017 - $20.00
I found the employees to be very friendly and helpful. It is a country park with few amenities, but I found the guest to be all very friendly, nice trees and very quiet. The price was only 19.99 without my Passport America which included water, sewer, electric, and garbage. Cable and wife was a dollar a day. The prices are very good and we used Passport America when we stay in the summeu time. Close to everything. Most people I talked too come back every year. - Melissa Steele
Jun 2012 - $52.00
We stayed here and were very disappointed. It was not clean, had bad roads, not too friendly staff, lighting to sites was very poor. Would not stay again. - 1234k
May 2015 - $40.00
Park is pretty and quite, way off the road. Lots of horses, ponies, a lama, and wild birds. Site was level, however, grass was not cut and was ankle high. Lots of snowbirds winter, but had left before our arrival. There is a pool which looked nice but we didn't use. The park is over priced and they charge $5 per guest even if the guest just visit during the evening for a few hours and do use the facilities. - Jackhal
Jan 2014 - $35.00
We have stayed here more than once at the per month rate. Our first consideration was its proximity to the many attractions in Florida both on the Atlantic and Gulf sides coupled with its competitive rates. We were looking for a shaded, friendly and safe place to stay while we bicycled, kayaked (the famous monkeys in Silver Springs just down the road). But perhaps our favorite aspect is how nice the owners are and how dedicated to providing activities for their guests. - PassingThru
Feb 2009 - $1.00
The Lake in the Forest is a beautiful park. It is off of the road in a well shaded area surrounded with big trees. If you like country settings and not a concrete city, you will like this park. The owner goes out of the way to please everyone. There are activities for the kids and adults. All of the guests in the park were very friendly and did things together. Shopping and places to eat are close. When we left we felt as if we were leaving family. This was our first year there but we have already booked next year. The owner's mother is a wonderful person too. If you visit the park, be sure to say hi to the owners and the owner's parents. - Tom And Sharon
Oct 2014 - $25.00
The only way to get this rate is weekly; daily, it is $30. This is a mobile home park as well as an RV campground. There are many permanent residents and, although many of the mobile homes are nice and well maintained, quite a few of them are in bad shape. The roads are terrible, sand with giant potholes. They advertise cable TV but the only way to get it is to pay a full month ($85) plus a $40 installation charge. There was no Wi-Fi and no cell service with our phone which works almost everywhere. The laundry was a screened-in shack with no doors and no air conditioning. The only restroom/shower we could find was not in very good shape and, again, had no air conditioning. We understood that it was under new management and there seemed to be a lot of workers cleaning up but there is a lot more that needs to be done, There are many other campgrounds in this area that look much better for the same money. We would never stay here again. - SandyA
Feb 2012 - $10.00
We totally enjoyed our stay at Lake Bryant. The staff was very friendly and always helpful. We were made to feel at home here. It had a great family atmosphere, and the calendar was filled with fun activities for all ages. We wish that we could stay longer. - Trisha3
Feb 2010 - $28.00
Lake Bryant is a trailer park that and falls far short of the ratings in RV reference books and the info and photos posted on the site. RV sites are scattered between badly maintained trailer homes. Street are packed sand, holes and mud when it rains and dust from the numerous golf carts and 4 wheelers used by permanent residents. The beach is there but the swimming area has grass growing in most of it. When making reservations the management will charge you the cost of your full stay (week or month) rather than a portion, and the is NO REFUND REGARDLESS. Laundry facilities are small and in a small screened in shed. There is no way we would return or recommend this to others. - Bill J
Jan 2019 - $20.00
Very clean. The hosts are amazing at keeping this place clean. There are some private sites but most of them are open. No overhead trees. Perfect for watching the sky. No playground for kids. Pad is small gravel, but there is grass all around which is fantastic. Mountain bike trails. And this place is very horse friendly (it's around Ocala, the horse capital of the world). Close to everything. Right next to FL200 so you hear traffic, rumble strips... ATT comes in strong. Some OTA channels. - dan_m
Jul 2018 - $20.00
We stayed here in a 37 foot motor home. The site, site 5, was huge! There is a Walmart very close and there are restaurants , like 5 guys, close as well. If your a hiker or biker this place is for you, Oh, bring your horse! - Hoth
Mar 2018 - $22.00
This is a nice campground located about 10 miles west of I-10 close to Ocala, Florida. The staff was topnotch, friendly and helpful. All the sites are gravel (crushed shell) pull thoughts and are fairly level side to side but front to back, not so much. For the most part, the sites are oriented south to north which makes for a shady afternoon outside your door with ample space to enjoy the picnic table or a campfire in the fire ring. The lone bathhouse is not conveniently located. It was clean but well used and is due a refurbishment. There is no laundry facility on site. They cater to horses here but it does not impact the campground. There is a separate parking area for their trailers outside the camping area. The weekend we were here there were many riders enjoying their horses on the riding trails which originate in the park. There are walking and biking trails here also. Highway 200 was a little noisy but, for the most part, we didn't notice it. Off air local TV station were weak. We could not get NBC or CBS. There is no WiFi but Verizon had 4 of 4 bars LTE service. Shopping and restaurants are only a couple of miles up the road. This is not a bad place to rest for a night or two. We would go back. - bamawig
May 2018 - $37.00
Villager is absolutely fine for an overnight stay. Quiet, pretty, friendly. Except for us, we have two big dogs and need more space to walk them. There is a small space along the perimeter- but really not much to speak of. They have no camp store or other necessities, such as ice. Our site didn't have a picnic table, but others did. However, they did escort us to our site, which is always a plus. The site was level. Good WiFi. Nice general gathering area. - Nancy Z
Feb 2018 - $16.00
Passport America for 2 days. Mostly long term sites. The overnight sites were grass with dips making being level slightly difficult. One of my jacks overextended. Had a problem getting it to go up and now I need to have it repaired. So, be careful when leveling. The laundry facility was clean and reasonably priced. I did not use their WiFi. OTA TV reception was poor. You could not see the turnpike due to trees but you sure could hear it night and day. No fire ring. No picnic table. - camper19709
Feb 2018 - $29.00
Great WiFi. Lots of trees so no satellite tv. Not a level site so our stairs wouldn't extend out fully. First night we noticed 50 amp not working. Repaired within an hour in am. At check in, no info given about activities, amenities, wifi, etc. She eas too busy telling me why she didn't wash her hair that morning. We would stay here again as good price for staying near the - Publicly display name
Mar 2018 - $32.00
Good for a overnite stay. Wifi non existant. Cable tv, but poor selection of channels. Bring a good book. Sites were long and easy to get into. Didn't use bathroom or showers. so can not comment on them. We camped in March of 2017. - dqp
Jun 2017 - $31.00
This park is right off Hwy 301 and was good for an overnight stay. The highway noise is noticeable. The sites are all grassy and some are more level than others. Our site was a back-in, but long enough that we did not have to unhook our TT from our truck. Hookups were good and cable worked well. Restrooms/showers were older but clean. Our rate was Good Sam. We would stay overnight again. - R&S
May 2017 - $32.00
We were looking for a clean, quiet campground near Ocala, for one night while traveling north, with FHU and a pull-thru site that wouldn't take us too far out of our way. Wandering Oaks certainly fit the bill! There are mature trees, with some sites there, and a large field area with a few trees. In FL, trees are wonderful for the shade, but can make maneuvering a big rig a challenge sometimes. This park is very well-maintained, clean and best of all, only 2.5 miles from I-75, and a few hundred yards from route 301, our route north. The park was mostly empty (time of year) so we had no one on either side of us. Friendly person checked us in. We'll definitely be back. - StateofMaineStateofMind
Mar 2015 - $14.00
Just a warning to others....... Their website is VERY misleading. We needed a place to stay for a month in Central Florida. We called from the previous campground that we'd been staying at to see if they had availability. The lady on the phone said "we only have one left". Since the campground that was our first choice was already full we went ahead and booked it. She wanted our credit card over the phone. I know better than paying for a site before seen but she said it was the last one! So I gave her the credit card number which she said would be charged that day. (Absolutely no refunds)
This could be a very long story but I will cut to the chase and comment on discrepancies with their website.
Concrete pads - I don't see any. We are parked on grass that sinks when it rains.
Restaurant- There is no restaurant on site much less that delivers. There is a mini mart at the entrance. Don't expect to get your milk and bread there, but if it's beer and soda you are after you are in luck!
Beach/Swimming footsteps from your site - There is no beach on the property. There is no water that you can swim in on property unless you don't mind swimming with alligators! There is a beach that you can see from the property but you need a vehicle to get there. It is part of the National Forest system so you have to pay fees to get in.
Laundry - Yes, there is a laundry "onsite" but it sits facing State Highway 40 and has a big sign with the hours written on it (the hours on the sign are incorrect) so it is open to the public. There is only COLD water wash available.
Boats and jet ski rental (As described on the Passport America site under 'highlights') - None.
Don't bother sending an email inquiry as their website suggests. I never did get a response. I also would caution you to NOT get anything of importance sent to you here via mail. We never did get the FedEx "overnight" envelope that was sent to us. Everybody that we met that was staying here was very nice. - RunAroundSue
Sep 2017 - $52.00
My wife and I traveled here from south Florida due to Hurricane Irma. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They helped us get set up, and letting us know of the secure location on the property. Which was the clubhouse. And we all gathered in there, and we felt like we were part of their community. Staff checked the park every hour during the storm to make sure it was secure and to check for damage. After storm, they allowed us to stay while we were having repairs done on our home. This is a park that I would definitely stay in again. - rc1234
Dec 2015 - $10.00
Mostly a winter over Senior park in a great location near The Villages and Leesburg, and a short drive to the attractions of the Mt Dora area. The park is very pet friendly and has a small fenced dog park. There are also a number of art/crafts, games, dinners, and other social activities available at the clubhouse. Apparently there is new management here and the place is undergoing some improvements. The manager and employees here are extremely accommodating. Overall, a nice reasonably priced place to spend the winter. - dewbon1
Jan 2014 - $30.00
Pay with cash or check only. This is mainly a snowbird destination with mostly older, but very well maintained, manufactured homes. We stayed here while visiting relatives in The Villages. Access roads a bit tight, but other sites available for even the largest rigs with multiple slides. Only downside is that some pet owners do not clean up their pat's messes, so watch where you step! We will stay here again. - thetravelkids
