Nov 2019 - $16.00
Overall very clean, nice and peaceful park. Since the hurricane a lot of trails are closed and there are a lot of trees gone so not much shade. Enjoyed our stay and will come back. Staff very nice.
30amp only and water hookup. No sewer. Bathhouses are close by. Stayed in site 1 with our truck and 37’ trailer.
Verizon cell and data was good. - Unhitched Somewhere
Jul 2019 - $8.00
We stayed for 3 nights in a 38Ft motorhome with tow car. Our site was #28. We had no problems leveling. Is was a sand back-in site. It was soft sand, but didn't pose a problem. The roads into the Campground were gravel/dirt/sand. No real problem driving on them but the dust coated our tow car. There was no shade at our site. Satellite reception was great. We took the tour of the Torreya House, $3.00 per person, it was great. The Campground and the whole area is still recovering from hurricane Michael. - TermiteDave
Apr 2019 - $28.00
I am completely confused at the glowing reviews of this park, especially from those who camped here in a motorhome. We travel in a 43ft Class A with a tow and based on the reviews we felt this was a place we could enjoy. Mistake. The road up is sand, the sites are sand, soft sand, there is no shade, no open area, no view, and frankly basically impossible for us to even back into our site. Please understand we love Florida Parks, we love state parks which is why we wanted to give this a try. Based on what we saw, we actually just drove away and ate the $56 bucks. Final comments, big rigs beware. - aurunner98
Oct 2018 - $13.00
As in most campgrounds, the showers and restrooms could use some cosmetics. There was a 10-15 acre lake with decent fishing. Host was a big help in all areas of interest. Grounds were well kept. - Philtoole
Jun 2018 - $20.00
Spacious sites in a forested remote setting. Bring plenty of bug spray. A few TV stations were our only link to the outside world. - HikerBoricua
Dec 2016 - $10.00
Arrived to find they had no record of my reservation and another camper was occupying my site. The host was not professional like other federal parks. She wasn't even wearing shoes. People are clearly living out of this park. Beer cans and trash around.
Lot spacing was very close. Mostly shady dirt sites.
Everything was odd. Seems like a good place to get hyjacked or ambushed. I warned you. - My camp reviews
Nov 2019 - $40.00
Wonderful little campground in the country. Well planned club house with outside pool. Pull thru sites that are leveled concrete pads with small patios. Hosts were extremely pleasant. - Linda Cox
Jul 2019 - $36.00
The park is seven and a half miles off Interstate 10, but worth the trip because it is quiet and quite beautiful and new/clean. - W Davidson
May 2019 - $40.00
This a very small park somewhat out in the country. The service was nice. You call ahead with your arrival time and the owner meets you out front to let you through the gate. The sites are okay and we had no problem navigating the park in our 45 ft motorhome. There is almost nothing to do in the area. Marianna got hit pretty hard by Hurricane Michael and things are a little tore up. It is a little far from the expressway than I would have liked but as a result it is extremely quiet. This is a good choice for a 1 or 2 night stay. - Paul Goodspeed
May 2019 - $40.00
An old sort of run down campground located close to I-10. The area is pretty remote with limited restaurants or stores within near driving distance. Tallahassee is about 40 miles away. The campground roads and sites are gravel. The nightly price ($40) is over priced given there is no WiFi or cable and nothing special about the park. There is a small pool. Our site #1 was level and could get satellite but the picnic table and gravel pad is on the wrong side. Most of the sites are level but many would not be for long rigs. Most of the sites have a lot of trees so if you need satellite access be sure to request an open site. - Tom Willing
May 2019 - $36.00
Good place to stop for the night when crossing the panhandle. We are a 43 ft and tow a pickup. Friendly hosts. Escorted to site. Pool looks nice. They have a large dog park. - Double Ds
Apr 2019 - $36.00
Stayed overnight on the way home from Ocean Springs, MS. Very easy in and out. Pull thru sites. No cable or WiFi. There are several OTA channels. - archbarb
Nov 2019 - $33.00
50 amp, FHU, pull-through, side by side site in a large open field. Very convenient to I-10. Behind Marathon gas station (very high fuel prices on I-10 in the panhandle). Picnic table only, no pad or fire pit etc. Seems they've raised their rates and the price is cash only $3 extra for credit card usage. Not a destination campground but good for an overnight stop. - Bob & Stephanie
Jul 2019 - $33.00
Stayed here in the past while traveling I-10. As described in the past it is an open field behind the gas station with full hook-ups close to I-10 exit 274. The only difference is the price went from $20. to $33. Probably will stop elsewhere when traveling this way for a little better value. - Appleknocker
Jul 2018 - $20.00
This is just a grass lot behind the Marathon gas station. There are no amenities. It's really just for an overnight. Easy on and off I10. - har-fl
May 2019 - $15.00
Stayed here overnight to and from St Augustine. Picked it because it was the cheapest place we could find on our route with electricity, which is a necessity in Florida in the summer. Our first night, we were in site number 5, right next to the lake-and the fish cleaning station at the boat dock. This site was not level and did not smell very nice. Our second stay, we were in site 9, which was further from the lake and very level. The sites are pretty basic, but a decent value. - Team Janne
Apr 2016 - $15.00
This park was a real find for an overnight on a roadtrip. I'd happily spend weeks here. Spots right on the lake, fishing piers, and a boat dock. There's something very peaceful, calm and beautiful about this lake. Old man is on grounds most days, and takes the entry fees, but they don't accept cards. Grounds are maintained by inmates and are really quite attractive. Beautiful boardwalks and pier walkways on the shores of this campground. Will be back again. - charlyhors
Jun 2013 - $15.00
Wonderful park very clean. Neighbors friendly. We stayed 2 nights. Our site overlooked the lake with a deck. A nice pier is available. The interior roads were unpaved. Looked as there were some longer term camping here. If we are ever in area again would drive out of way to get there. - J Arthur
Apr 2018 - $11.00
Great quiet campground on the Apalachicola River. Easy in and out no hassles no thrills. - Campin Kayak
Oct 2016 - $8.00
City RV park on the south end of Lake Seminole without a lot of amenities or Wifi. It is quiet and the price is good. We have been here many times and park on the lower level by the river. Caution: if it rains, it gets very muddy and then floods on the lower, and sometimes on the upper level. If rain is in the forecast - leave. We almost went under. TV reception is good and cell service is okay. Parking on the lower level is a bit confusing as the power posts (no sewer) are placed in what seems a random pattern. Park where you will as no one seems to care. We were the only ones here on the lower level. The plan is to drive into town and pay at the city hall. We never hesitate to stop here. - The Penguin
Oct 2013 - $16.00
Actually, we did not camp here. We were heading for Chattahoochee for an overnight stop and saw the web site for this place. Looked at RV Park Reviews and saw some pretty good reviews but didn't notice how old they were (2009). We pulled in and the place looked totally run down and half abandoned. There was a piece of paper on the office door that said there were no campground hosts and to just find a site and call a phone number at City Hall and someone would be around to collect your money. I was looking for a place with a laundry, which their web site said they had but couldn't find anything that looked like one. I walked up to the clubhouse and the boards of the porch were so rotten I thought I might fall through. We turned around and left. Don't know if the hookups worked or the Wi-Fi that was advertised. - Barb T
