The campground is a fair ways back off Rte 192 and is very quiet. It is huge. Lots of winter permanents. Attractive, well-maintained. Sites are long enough to park behind your rig and wide enough to park beside it. There are no patios or picnic tables or grills, just grass. It does get a little muddy when it rains but they allow outdoor mats. The week we were here, one of the pools was closed, the wifi was down the entire week for the entire campground, and our site (#165) got no cable service at all. We were at a rally, but we had our problems. They were late opening the hall so we could make breakfast for 30 people, the kitchen was stripped bare, not even a paring knife in sight, and there was no hot water. Also, the A/C could not be set lower than 72 but the hall never got below 75 degrees. It was hot when full of people eating hot food. We will look elsewhere next time. - SusanRon

Our 'premium' site had no concrete pad and no picnic table! Just grass and sand, and a bush. The gate staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The office was set apart from the park and the person was unfriendly and not welcoming. There is a poorly stocked store and he offered no suggestions about getting things we needed and another guest gave us the info. No area restaurant info or other help was offered. The restrooms were a long walk or had to get in the car and drive there. In general the clubhouse vibe is closed in and people in there were unfriendly. The best thing about the park is a nice pool and a fun putt putt course which would have been much nicer had it been regularly swept of leaves and sticks. We were not aware or invited to any gatherings while there. Overall, except for great weather, a day at Epcot, and a visit from our grandchildren, this wasn't a great experience and we would only come back if guaranteed an actual premium spot with concrete and picnic table. Grills would be a nice addition, snack bar, and planned activities but this is not that kind of place unfortunately. - Peggy Toussant

No cement pads. The sites were so deeply rutted I fell and broke my ankle. I tried to fill with propane and was told I had to park at the tank and walk about 1/4 mile to the office to leave My ID, even though I was alone and on crutches. 1/2 of my larynx is paralyzed so my voice is soft. When I leaned in so the people in the office could hear me, I was told to step back and then they could not hear me. The young ladies there need more training on dealing with handicapped people. - June and cozy

This is a very large beautiful park with many small cottages as well as RV sites. Sites are well spaced. We were in Site 511, overlooking the pond, where we watched small gators, waterfowl and an otter at play. Unfortunately, Site 511 is better suited for a towed unit as it has a large slope. We had our front wheels on 4 inch ramps and still not quite level. - Ron & Donna
Aug 2019 - $45.00
The RV sites in this park are very tiny. My 40 ft motorhome could barely fit into the pull thru site, then we had difficulty pulling out. Luckily the site across from us was open. The sites here are the closest I have ever seen. The staff closed the doors early and did not want to open for us, instead they talked to us thru the door, which made us feel like we were criminals. Some of the site are all grass, and were soft. It was very close to Disney, and had some fun activities just outside the park. I would not stay there again. - Will Box
Jul 2019 - $80.00
This RV park is classified as a Class A resort. The lanes are narrow and the planting of palm trees makes it hazardous to park a big rig. There are sites with 6-10 people on them in 5th wheels making it very noisy. It's not located in an ideal place for walking to any restaurants or attractions. Disney's Old Towne is tired and the food is mainly fried and not appetizing. Better to stay at another park and pay more for better accommodations and a better location. - Jana Diehl

This is a good park to stay at as it is a nice campground and located near to the attractions. The park has rates from daily to annual. The park has activities designed for most people. - Shadoe

Ants, Ants more Ants. Terrible management, kids running unruly through out park, located under trees and requested several times to be moved. Broken concrete, very uneven. Never happened, even with several open sites. Left early and got some $$ back. Never again!!! - Braveheart72
Oct 2018 - $52.00
Fairly large park. Close to area attractions. Reserved online. There were a lot of pull-throughs and some back in sites that weren't occupied. Sites were full hookup. A few sites were held by long term occupants and looked a little rough but in general it was a nice looking park. Very few shade trees. Small modular houses were just outside the park fence on several sides. Our site had a concrete pad but concrete was broken and badly cracked. Hookups showed their age but functioned well. - Underlog

This is an updated review based upon my Oct '19 stay. TT is adding 175 sites and replacing the concrete pads in a few of the older sites. The clubhouse which was damaged in the '17 hurricane has been finished and is very good. It has a nice quiet area for those wishing to use public wifi. The pool area is clean and lush. The grounds are clean, no trash. Beautiful trees and large open areas everywhere. There is a very quiet lake in the back of the park with a dog park nearby, makes for a nice place to relax and reflect. I don't understand the negative reviews on this park. Yes, some Rvers have old campers. The park has been around for a long time so many sites have old broken up pads. You have a good chance of parking on one of them and it reduces the sand etc tracked into your rV. There are lots of locals who live in these parks and rotate through on their various contracts. The younger people bring life to the park and are generally respectful and just living their lives. I look forward to returning to this park in the future. Plenty of staff around if you need help with something. There are a great variety of sites in this park, if it is your first visit, take some time to look around before you select a site. - Todd Fogelberg

What a dump. The park was unkept. When I mentioned this to the check in desk they said they don't maintain the "annual" sites. Which were EVERYWHERE! They have signs up telling you empty sites are annual sites. But you can tell more easily by the lack of maintenance. Many of the coaches were in DESPERATE need of cleaning. And you could lose your dogs in the tall grass and weeds. Our lasting impression wasn't of a camp resort, it was more of a "trailer park" The sewer hook up was cut flush with the concrete pad and was "sealed" with a piece of cinder block. I hooked my hose up (with a donut) just to keep from smelling it. The only areas we found with shade were only 30 amp sites. The voltage was terrible. You could here my outside fan ramping up and down. I turned most everything in the coach off just to keep from ruining things. The trees in the D section are overgrown and low hanging. We broke one of our CB antennas off just getting in. The pool looked clean at first, when you get in however, you notice the oily/moldy ring around the inside at the water line. The chairs were moldy and algae covered as well. The club house was under construction, and from talking with my camping friends has been for a LONG time. So no pool or indoor activities to escape the heat. They are however adding a bunch of new sites. So maybe when they are built they will free up the time to clean the rest of the park. As for location, Don't bother. You can only turn right upon exit and can only come in from the other side. Either way you have to turn your rig around to go anywhere. - Capn Awesome
Jul 2019 - $1.00
This resort is "old school" and in need of a facelift. The highlight of the park is the pool. The grounds area is mostly open to sunny sites with heat and weeds. Finding my own site made me a bit anxious when looking for shade. One section was completely x-ed out by the agent, and I was told not to even bother trying to book a site in the winter (even as a pass holder). I settled on a pull thru site in section D with the down side being no wifi or phone service. The desk agent informed me that the wifi in the entire park was terrible, so a site in D didn't make a difference. The area of 1000 sites was quiet with the exception to the ongoing construction from early morning until night of the new area being built. There are many locals living on the grounds at all times. I witnessed one local smashing over a dozen garbage bagged soda cans and a trailer carrying twenty TVs to scrap. I ventured over to the hot tub in the evening after the pool had cleared for a dip. The tub was not hot and was roped off the following day. My entire bathing suit faded from purple into white with the chemicals in the hot tub. I never saw any employees with the exception of an older man screaming at everyone to get out of the pool on my third day with no explanation. He just merely locked the pool area midday. The fitness facility is a small room with old equipment perhaps elders will use. The clubhouse was partially closed for renovations and the only area to actually get wifi. The upside of this campground is the clean showers and debris free grounds. This resort is attractive to camp pass holders with tourist attractions nearby. For a single RV'r merely wanting to enjoy the campground itself, it is not enticing. For families with children who want to go to Disney, this is the place. A few days stop is more than enough for travelers wanting a "camp experience." Close to everything... But allow time for major traffic all hours of the Day!! - beholdaprincess

This was my first experience in any RV park so I don't have a point of reference, but what stood out was the helpfulness of Ray, the park owner. He took us to our spot to examine it prior to escorting us down and even helping us set up.
The spot itself had some exposed tree roots but that didn't pose a problem. The spots are pretty small for a large class A such as our Outlaw, but we managed to get in and out without any trouble.
Neighbors are very friendly. We enjoyed our 3 night stay. Tremendous value with our Passport America 50% off. - Outlaw Pilots

We used this park as a base to go to Disney World and Universal studios. It is an older park with most guests being permanent, but all were very friendly. The spaces are very tight but the owner did an excellent job of guiding us in. The bathhouse only has one shower in each of the men's and women's, so timing is everything. - Oldbillm

The only good thing about this park is the restrooms/showers. They were clean but dated. The park itself is old, needs maintenance and has serious problems. The power pedestals have inadequate 30 amp power because when I ran my microwave, lights and TV, the breaker tripped. I talked with my neighbors and they experienced similar issues. The sites are a combination of sand, mud and minimal gravel. The sites are unlevel and even my leveler system could not make up for the unevenness because they sunk into the soft ground. The sites are packed in like herring in a tin. There is no cable TV, cell phone reception is minimal and the wireless internet is weak and slow. I would have given ZERO stars if that was an option. The place should not even be listed. - Submansd
Mar 2018 - $50.00
Park is old and the roads are very narrow and difficult to navigate, especially in our 39 foot bus. We disconnected our tow vehicle at entrance and still had trouble. The pool is very nice and there are activities that seasonal campers enjoy. Only there 5 nights and wasn't interested. We had visited last year and new management was not as helpful as previous was, no escort to site and were directed via a route that our bus couldn't make the turn. That said, less than 10 miles to Disney on 192 filled with shopping, restaurants, Old Town, Fun Spot and Celebration at great rate. - DebbyandBob
Feb 2018 - $50.00
Would give zero stars if I can. I made a reservation over 3 months in advance via their website with a deposit and given a site number. I show up and they have no record of the reservation and the site is booked to someone else! Furious. Not easy to find another place to stay during snowbird season. They say it was due to a new system. Apologies, but I still haven't received my refund 3 days later. - Lnskaye

If you need to get any sort of internet access - god forbid you need to work online - this is NOT the place for you. Extremely disappointed because we have stayed at 10+ of these new, updated KOAs and all have had great internet (and should for the $80-$120/night price tag). This park is not the case. Probably the worst internet I have ever used in an RV park. We work online and need basic internet (ability to browse/retrieve emails/social media etc) and even the basics here are pointless. Extremely disappointed - KOA as a brand should require some basic level of internet if they are marketing their parks as a higher end option. Nice park - great location - but if you need internet ... RUN. - jayblack99
Feb 2019 - $80.00
Very nice campground. Very quiet except for an emergency siren now and then. There is a town home community right next door alongside the campground, but we never noticed any disrupting behavior or loud noise. A very pleasant stay. - Coiner45
Jan 2019 - $82.00
The place is nice enough and clean enough. A little tight for larger vehicles but you can get around. The problem here is the wireless service. I have never seen a place do a better job of putting out antennas and repeaters. There are multiple strong access points. Then they throttle the throughput to NOTHING. I could not get 1 MB of speed regardless of what I tried. The Verizon cellular service is so bad that a mobile hot spot is equally useless. If you need to conduct any business - stay away from this place. Find a way to live without decent internet for the duration of your stay. Don't come here if you need to conduct business while in the park. - Ras2

Close to office spot yet wifi terrible all week. They say it's a hotspot when you ask, yet the advertisement says wifi. They shouldn't say they have it if they don't. Its part of the planning of where you want to stay. (Admin note: park website amenities show "wifi access") - Sondkr

Showers/bathrooms that we were near had only one stall. So one shower at a time. They are not air conditioned and there was no airflow so, you sweat in the shower. The men's restroom had their one toilet overflowing with paper and completely stopped up, so we had to call a number for service, which was taken care of after a while. The women's side was right next to the door of the clubhouse, so we had a man sitting on a bench, smoking right next to the door of the bathroom, blowing smoke in with us the entire time we were in there. We felt a bit unsecure about it all, so one of us stood guard while the other showered. Our site was by itself, but other sites appeared to be extremely close together. There appear to be many permanent residents housed in small trailer houses or rv's here. We took the kids to use the pool and residents were smoking and drinking by the pool and playing some atrocious country rap music that was laced with foul language, and DID NOT care that my little girls were present to hear it. We arrived around 3 or 4 on a Saturday, no one was ever present in the office. It was closed on the next day, and as we couldn't remember if we'd given them a credit card number to pay with or not, we tried to contact them via the number on the office door but only got an answering service. We did make contact the next day via phone (after we checked out.) The price is good here, but I feel it's much more inclined towards permanent or long term residents. I doubt we will stay here again. - girlfriday007

Very quiet, scenic area that is a bit off the beaten path. Tremendous value for the money. Lots of tame, interesting birds near the lake. A great place to relax. We're not fishermen, but it looked like a good place to fish. Saw a guy catch a bass of the dock. - John A Guderian
Mar 2017 - $15.00
We stayed at the campground March-May 2017. It was a very affordable option for Florida at $400 monthly. The park was very full during the season and we stayed in their newer section in the back of the park. It had recently been cleared and was all grass other than the road to the sites in back. The road was fresh asphalt and easy to maneuver our 33' Class A with tow trailer and vehicle. We had beautiful views of the sunset but the bugs were troublesome. We had to contend with major mosquitoes and an ant infestation. There were also tiny little flying insects the locals called "blind mosquitoes" which are apparently harmless but very intrusive at times. We initially rented Lot B11 but after a pretty hard rain, our entire patio area was flooded. The ladies running the office were apologetic and accommodating though. They said we could move to another site as soon as possible and we ended up choosing the site beside us B12. Those newer sites seemed to be more spacious than the sites up front (which were mostly full of snowbirds or full timers). We did have to use our satellite dish and also get a separate Internet Service Provider on our own since we couldn't stream moves or shows from the WiFi. Overall I would recommend to others and most likely stay again myself, especially once they do some more upgrading to the sites out back. - Travel Tech Lisa

Came for 4, stayed for 6 nights at this tranquil, well maintained park. Most sites are long term but the residents are quiet and friendly. The gals in the office could not have been nicer! The area is beautiful, I got some gorgeous sunset photos! WiFi was okay, kind of petered out in the weekends. Bathhouse needs an update, but wasn't scary!! May go back for long term!! - Sunneee

Accepted Passport America. Site was back in and FHU. No cable but Wifi worked pretty well, a little slow tho. Antenna tv picked up over 60 channels. Site was barely big enough for RV, parked truck next to it. NO shade. All concrete roads and sites. Nice pool and laundry room. HIghway noise but can't beat the price in this town. Very friendly park. - TN_VolsFan
Jan 2016 - $75.00
I agree with previous comments. Interior roads are good but narrow. Didn't use bath house or laundry facilities.
In addition, their published and posted rate in their office is $40.00/day. We were charged $75.00/day because of activity going on at Oceola Heritage Park. When our reservations were made we weren't told of this special upcharge. Nor were we advised at check in. Only when we paid our bill the next day.
I agree that they can charge whatever they want to for a site but advise the customer when reservations are being discussed and let the customer decide if the price is in their comfort zone. - racer0624
Sep 2015 - $24.00
The park itself was clean and tidy but very tightly packed fulltime, long term and campers. The pool was large and heated. The laundry room was a good size but very busy constantly. The sites are very narrow, gravel and concrete. The staff was average, not that friendly and the wifi wasn't free. The restrooms were clean and the showers were nice. The road traffic was very loud. Don't think I'd stay here again. - kiwitravelers
