Our 1 night stop was $15.26, PA plus tax. The place is still ok for a 1 night stop. No improvements since our last stay, but no problems. Expect to see all the old trailers and RV's that are not allowed into other places. Not a destination by any means, but there are not many other options along this big bend route onto / off the FL Panhandle. We camped at Chiefland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed in a 40ftRV and Jeep. Site was a good size. Old Florida with oaks, spanish moss and lots of older RV's and trailers. Our site was level with good 50amp W/S. Verizon MiFi 5 bars. We were only here one night. It was quiet. Its not a resort. We would stay again and wouldn't mind staying longer. Close to shopping and restaurants. Roads have a lot of pot holes need to drive very slow. We camped at Chiefland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 4 nights and our spot was right next to the road (11th Avenue). Although it was not really noisy inside our motorhome, the view was not good. The RVs are packed in really close together. There is no gym, which was disappointing. TV reception was awful but Wi-Fi was fine. The restroom/shower area seemed clean although I did not use the shower.

Plenty of space for dog walking and the laundry was great - very affordable!

As this park is close to the friends that we were visiting we would most likely stay here again. Everyone we met in this park was very friendly! We camped at Chiefland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Since we were visiting friends we did not do any sightseeing. There is a Walmart close by and ABC Pizza is close and their pizza is awesome!

Stopped here just for 1 night - that was long enough. This is an older park, mostly permanent residents. It was cluttered and in need of cleaning and maintenance. The electrical hook-up had some leakage, so that when touched it gave a severe shock. Would definitely NOT recommend this park! We camped at Chiefland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This campground appears to be a place for long term residents. There are sites with lots of "stuff" laying around the campers. Very unsightly. The sites are large, mostly sand and grass. There is a cement slab with a picnic table on all the sites, mine had a bundle of some kind on the picnic table making the thing unusable. The sites are large, with ample room between them. My satellite dish would not work because of the trees, and cable hookup is $2.00 per day. The sites are level, and the electricity is good as well as good water pressure. The managers are very accommodating and pleasant to visit with. The grounds are not well kept, i.e: leaves all over the grounds, uncut grass, etc. The nightly rate reflects the Passport America discount. I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Chiefland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nice paved interior roads, well lit and well marked. They have what looks to be two pull thru sites, but most are backin. Nice grassy sites with a concrete patio. This is an adult only park. It is a good stopping off point when heading down to lower Fllorida. We camped at Chiefland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Friendly hosts. Old bathrooms in poor condition and needed cleaning. Cable TV is $2, also 2$ for Wi-Fi which has a strong signal. Mostly permanent residents as well as some snowbirds. right off US19/98 in Chiefland and is sufficient for an overnight stop. We camped at Chiefland RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: December, 2009 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Passport America rate of $14, $2 for cabe TV plus tax. Typical older Florida RV Park, some older permanent units, plus snow birds. Did not see any kids around. No high end units to speak of. Hookups were good and had been upgraded within the past few years. We had 30amp, water, sewer and cable TV for $16. A couple of sites would work as a pull-through, but most sites are back-in. Some with patios. An ok place for a stopover, 30 miles out to Cedar Key which is a nice day trip. We camped at Chiefland RV Park in a Motorhome.
