This is a good park to stay at as it is a nice campground and located near to the attractions. The park has rates from daily to annual. The park has activities designed for most people. - Shadoe
Feb 2019 - $45.00
Ants, Ants more Ants. Terrible management, kids running unruly through out park, located under trees and requested several times to be moved. Broken concrete, very uneven. Never happened, even with several open sites. Left early and got some $$ back. Never again!!! - Braveheart72
Oct 2018 - $52.00
Fairly large park. Close to area attractions. Reserved online. There were a lot of pull-throughs and some back in sites that weren't occupied. Sites were full hookup. A few sites were held by long term occupants and looked a little rough but in general it was a nice looking park. Very few shade trees. Small modular houses were just outside the park fence on several sides. Our site had a concrete pad but concrete was broken and badly cracked. Hookups showed their age but functioned well. - Underlog

This is an updated review based upon my Oct '19 stay. TT is adding 175 sites and replacing the concrete pads in a few of the older sites. The clubhouse which was damaged in the '17 hurricane has been finished and is very good. It has a nice quiet area for those wishing to use public wifi. The pool area is clean and lush. The grounds are clean, no trash. Beautiful trees and large open areas everywhere. There is a very quiet lake in the back of the park with a dog park nearby, makes for a nice place to relax and reflect. I don't understand the negative reviews on this park. Yes, some Rvers have old campers. The park has been around for a long time so many sites have old broken up pads. You have a good chance of parking on one of them and it reduces the sand etc tracked into your rV. There are lots of locals who live in these parks and rotate through on their various contracts. The younger people bring life to the park and are generally respectful and just living their lives. I look forward to returning to this park in the future. Plenty of staff around if you need help with something. There are a great variety of sites in this park, if it is your first visit, take some time to look around before you select a site. - Todd Fogelberg
Aug 2019 - $50.00
What a dump. The park was unkept. When I mentioned this to the check in desk they said they don't maintain the "annual" sites. Which were EVERYWHERE! They have signs up telling you empty sites are annual sites. But you can tell more easily by the lack of maintenance. Many of the coaches were in DESPERATE need of cleaning. And you could lose your dogs in the tall grass and weeds. Our lasting impression wasn't of a camp resort, it was more of a "trailer park" The sewer hook up was cut flush with the concrete pad and was "sealed" with a piece of cinder block. I hooked my hose up (with a donut) just to keep from smelling it. The only areas we found with shade were only 30 amp sites. The voltage was terrible. You could here my outside fan ramping up and down. I turned most everything in the coach off just to keep from ruining things. The trees in the D section are overgrown and low hanging. We broke one of our CB antennas off just getting in. The pool looked clean at first, when you get in however, you notice the oily/moldy ring around the inside at the water line. The chairs were moldy and algae covered as well. The club house was under construction, and from talking with my camping friends has been for a LONG time. So no pool or indoor activities to escape the heat. They are however adding a bunch of new sites. So maybe when they are built they will free up the time to clean the rest of the park. As for location, Don't bother. You can only turn right upon exit and can only come in from the other side. Either way you have to turn your rig around to go anywhere. - Capn Awesome

This resort is "old school" and in need of a facelift. The highlight of the park is the pool. The grounds area is mostly open to sunny sites with heat and weeds. Finding my own site made me a bit anxious when looking for shade. One section was completely x-ed out by the agent, and I was told not to even bother trying to book a site in the winter (even as a pass holder). I settled on a pull thru site in section D with the down side being no wifi or phone service. The desk agent informed me that the wifi in the entire park was terrible, so a site in D didn't make a difference. The area of 1000 sites was quiet with the exception to the ongoing construction from early morning until night of the new area being built. There are many locals living on the grounds at all times. I witnessed one local smashing over a dozen garbage bagged soda cans and a trailer carrying twenty TVs to scrap. I ventured over to the hot tub in the evening after the pool had cleared for a dip. The tub was not hot and was roped off the following day. My entire bathing suit faded from purple into white with the chemicals in the hot tub. I never saw any employees with the exception of an older man screaming at everyone to get out of the pool on my third day with no explanation. He just merely locked the pool area midday. The fitness facility is a small room with old equipment perhaps elders will use. The clubhouse was partially closed for renovations and the only area to actually get wifi. The upside of this campground is the clean showers and debris free grounds. This resort is attractive to camp pass holders with tourist attractions nearby. For a single RV'r merely wanting to enjoy the campground itself, it is not enticing. For families with children who want to go to Disney, this is the place. A few days stop is more than enough for travelers wanting a "camp experience." Close to everything... But allow time for major traffic all hours of the Day!! - beholdaprincess

This is a very large beautiful park with many small cottages as well as RV sites. Sites are well spaced. We were in Site 511, overlooking the pond, where we watched small gators, waterfowl and an otter at play. Unfortunately, Site 511 is better suited for a towed unit as it has a large slope. We had our front wheels on 4 inch ramps and still not quite level. - Ron & Donna
Aug 2019 - $45.00
The RV sites in this park are very tiny. My 40 ft motorhome could barely fit into the pull thru site, then we had difficulty pulling out. Luckily the site across from us was open. The sites here are the closest I have ever seen. The staff closed the doors early and did not want to open for us, instead they talked to us thru the door, which made us feel like we were criminals. Some of the site are all grass, and were soft. It was very close to Disney, and had some fun activities just outside the park. I would not stay there again. - Will Box
Jul 2019 - $80.00
This RV park is classified as a Class A resort. The lanes are narrow and the planting of palm trees makes it hazardous to park a big rig. There are sites with 6-10 people on them in 5th wheels making it very noisy. It's not located in an ideal place for walking to any restaurants or attractions. Disney's Old Towne is tired and the food is mainly fried and not appetizing. Better to stay at another park and pay more for better accommodations and a better location. - Jana Diehl

The campground is a fair ways back off Rte 192 and is very quiet. It is huge. Lots of winter permanents. Attractive, well-maintained. Sites are long enough to park behind your rig and wide enough to park beside it. There are no patios or picnic tables or grills, just grass. It does get a little muddy when it rains but they allow outdoor mats. The week we were here, one of the pools was closed, the wifi was down the entire week for the entire campground, and our site (#165) got no cable service at all. We were at a rally, but we had our problems. They were late opening the hall so we could make breakfast for 30 people, the kitchen was stripped bare, not even a paring knife in sight, and there was no hot water. Also, the A/C could not be set lower than 72 but the hall never got below 75 degrees. It was hot when full of people eating hot food. We will look elsewhere next time. - SusanRon
Apr 2019 - $40.00
Our 'premium' site had no concrete pad and no picnic table! Just grass and sand, and a bush. The gate staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The office was set apart from the park and the person was unfriendly and not welcoming. There is a poorly stocked store and he offered no suggestions about getting things we needed and another guest gave us the info. No area restaurant info or other help was offered. The restrooms were a long walk or had to get in the car and drive there. In general the clubhouse vibe is closed in and people in there were unfriendly. The best thing about the park is a nice pool and a fun putt putt course which would have been much nicer had it been regularly swept of leaves and sticks. We were not aware or invited to any gatherings while there. Overall, except for great weather, a day at Epcot, and a visit from our grandchildren, this wasn't a great experience and we would only come back if guaranteed an actual premium spot with concrete and picnic table. Grills would be a nice addition, snack bar, and planned activities but this is not that kind of place unfortunately. - Peggy Toussant
Mar 2019 - $10.00
No cement pads. The sites were so deeply rutted I fell and broke my ankle. I tried to fill with propane and was told I had to park at the tank and walk about 1/4 mile to the office to leave My ID, even though I was alone and on crutches. 1/2 of my larynx is paralyzed so my voice is soft. When I leaned in so the people in the office could hear me, I was told to step back and then they could not hear me. The young ladies there need more training on dealing with handicapped people. - June and cozy

We stayed here while going to and from Disneyworld which was only 15 minutes away. The staff were very friendly especially the guard house staff. It's mainly snowbirds who arrive in October so it was very quiet when we were there. Almost 1000 sites but only 40 of them are RVs, the rest are fulltime trailers. 8 bath houses, 2 pools and a large club house where you can get good free wifi. You can't get it from your site. Mini golf and other activities for free. Everything was very clean and tidy. You can not come in after 10pm in an RV so remember that if you only have the RV to travel in and plan a late night. Happily stay here again. - kiwitravelers
Jun 2014 - $15.00
This is definitely not a big rig friendly place. With over 900 sites, most of them are permanent trailer homes and the campground is designed like a gated community, with very narrow, winding streets. We were fortunate to get a site with a street perpendicular to our site so we could back in straight, but I don't see how one would get into a site otherwise as there is no room to back up from the street and there are no pull-throughs. Our site had a little bit of grass in the back, and a canal running behind it. Unfortunately, the water appeared very filthy - dark brown and sludgy looking. There was a nice picnic bench on the site, but I really wasn't motivated to sit and work out there overlooking the dirty water. I have not had a chance to check out the rec center or pools. From the outside, it looked very nice. In order to use any of the games like shuffleboard or tennis or anything requiring equipment, you have to give a refundable deposit. It would be nice if where you do this (at the guard house) wasn't located at the total other end of the park where the games are! We could walk to the center from our site, but not easily to the guard house. Would I stay there again? NO, because of the layout of the roads within the park. Too difficult for a big rig to get around in. Also not too many other RVers - 99% are homes. - cherylbrv

The water is fine, first time with MH much better this year. Stayed here last two years with friends in park model. People are friendly, no problem with sites, ref size. On site 371. Only complaint is this site is noisy with diesel pick ups going by. Picking lemons off the tree on site. Does not get better than this. Pool clean, warm, and close to all sites. - Tin man

My wife and I spent 13 snowbird years at this campground staying six months each year. I watched it go from a friendly snowbird family retreat to a low income trailer park with all the baggage that comes with that.
We often had low voltage and several of my friends had damage to their electronics. Once we were told to use less electricity when the voltage went to only 95 volts. And for that we paid per kilowatt and for them to read our meter. Many of the sewer hookups were broken and did not have caps on them. We often had bad smell depending on the wind direction.
I was told by park management that Florida Camp Inn is going toward a trailer park with year around residents rather than 6 month snowbirds even though we paid summer rent to keep our rigs onsite. There are also several RV parks within 20 miles. Look elsewhere. - Den - Mary

Feb 2018 - $40.00
This park, once clean and new, has gone way downhill. It has become a trailer park and is no longer an RV Resort. Most folks here seem to live here full time and pack all their crap in their very small sites. We had a boat right next to our slide. Anthills haven't gotten any better and they do nothing about it. Staff is lackluster at best. We once considered buying a spot here and we're so glad we didn't. Reserving a spot is nearly impossible. We reserved a spot, as it turns out, for a spot that had been sold for months before we reserved it. As we understand it, they sold a lot of sites as rent to own. The owner is then technically the management company, until rent to own is paid in full. As a result, the management company has the majority of the votes. This same management company tried to park unsuspecting renters in spots that weren't available to the rental pool! It's too bad as this used to be a nice place and it's turned into a dump, despite some great owners who have done lots of good with their sites. Too bad you have long termers with lots of kids and junk all over their sites. We had recommended this place to people and regret that. Never again. - Kamnel
Feb 2017 - $75.00
This is an excellent campground. This is the nicest campground near Disney World. All of the sites are paved and our site was level. Most of this campground is owner occupied. The clubhouse had pool tables and exercise room, and the pool was heated. All of the campers we met were very friendly. We will definitely use this as our go to campground when visiting Disney World and not able to get into Fort Wilderness. We stayed here for 10 days. - On the Road Again with Dave and Christie

The person who handles check in was not friendly. I can deal with that. We were supposed to stay here for one month and left after one night. Reverse polarity issues caused issues with our rig. We tried 30 and 50 on two different sites. Both had reverse polarity issues. We told owner. He said it should not be a problem and did not offer to fix or check anything at the site. When we asked to try a different site he said they are all like that. I would not stay here again. There are no locks on the bathroom doors or showers. Only curtains hung up for both. - RV Path chosen

Absentee landlord. Recent breakins. Closed Pool. There are no "showers" (plural). There is one shower/toilet for a man and one shower/toilet for a woman for the entire park. Rusty electrical boxes. Desk staff do not smile. This is a really old trailer park by Disney and does not cater to campers/motorhomes/children. - RainBow Busted

No working showers. Residents use the pool and pool showers. No hot water in bath house or laundry room. Most toilets do not flush either. I asked around and this has been going on for over 6 months. They have been reported to Florida Environmental Services as the absentee owner is unresponsive. If you dry dock, may be suitable for a night or two for Disney Fans. Otherwise, there are many other parks in the area with working ammenities, showers and toilets. - RainBow Busted
Jun 2016 - $40.00
The pull thru site was nice, however, this is not a big rig friendly park. Lanes are tight and signage (although nice and professional) is located too close for turns. This appears to be a more permanent resident type park. Water pressure was weak at best. - gford10480
Mar 2014 - $48.00
This is an old, mostly mobile home park with one lane roads and paved sites. Most of the mobile homes are decades old with additions on one or both sides. The width of the RV sites varies. Our slides were at the edge of the neighbor's concrete patio. Many RV sites are pull through, but due to the narrow roads, we needed to back in vs. pull in to avoid striking the power pedestal. They have cable and Internet, but both are an added cost. Water pressure at our site was very low requiring us to use the on-board pump for showers. The park is very friendly. Many residents sit outside in the evening and will greet almost everyone as they pass by. One of the brightest parts was the lady in registrations who, upon seeing us drive in, came out with a map of the park and ask us to follow the fellow she was calling to our site because a bad rain storm was moments away; very considerate of her. They did have multiple activities scheduled each day. The drive from I-4 was easy, but when you near the park going up a grade to the one traffic light, stay in the left lane (where all the traffic is stopped). The right lane must go into the shopping center. It is marked but you might not see the sign in time. Likely we would stay here again if we were in the area and just needed a place to stay. Rate was $10 higher than their web site reflected. We were here during a spring break period. - Workamper04

We are camping in the premium sites. We have the privilege of listening to construction equipment from 7 in the morning to 5. They are building new vacation club villas. At Disney everything is spotless, camp sites are tight so it can be noisy. Hard to beat the convenience of going to the parks without having to use your vehicle. - myo
Sep 2019 - $99.00
This has got to be the nicest campground i have ever stayed in. This was our 5th time and never have been disappointed. We were in 400 l00p close to the top this time. The internal buses take you to the top to catch the boat to Magic Kingdom then on to the Monorail. Or to the Outpost to catch a bus to the other parks or Disney Springs. You can save time and rent a golf cart to take you to these locations. There is a very nice dog park that we encountered deer in one night. Deer and Turkey wander around. Preferred site are very big. All the locations are convenient to Comfort stations and laundry mats. Settlement end has excellent restaurant that has a wonderful buffet. Another store, Meadows in the middle. Close to the Campfire, sign along and nightly Disney movie. Pool is very kid friendly now. There is a snack shop at the pool where you can fill refillable mugs. Road to Wilderness Lodge was closed. I've also been in loop 1200 1500 and 800. None of them were bad.
We put a request in for 400 loop because i had never stayed at the top. It is convenient to the store and the boat. I called the week before and had a note put on our reservation. I did on line check in a month in advance. I indicated that i would be there before 3:00 check in because i had to leave the other park at 11:00. We arrived early and they accommodated our request and our site was ready when we got there. Disney is the best at making your trip magical. - handette
Aug 2019 - $113.00
Oh Ft wilderness how do I love thee? Let me count the ways. 1. My site was big enough for my 40ft truck conversion and both the RV pad and the patio were concrete. 2. The 50 amp power was clean and worry free. 3. The water pressure was spot on. 5. Golf cart friendly (well more likely required) We LOVE cruising around and site seeing on the golf carts. 4. I know, I skipped 4. The pools are VERY clean and heated and open until 11pm. 6. (no I didn't skip 5) Fireworks. The view from the beach is IMHO better than the park itself. and the crowds are smaller. 7. The other campers are friendly and easy going. (and we have camped here at least a dozen times). 8. (is this guy not done yet?) The stores are well stocked and not (too) overpriced (it is on Disney property after all). 9. Disney transportation. We love to take a boat to the contemporary and ride the Monorail around and people watch. And (finally) number 10. There are many campgrounds around Orlando that are nearly as much money as Ft wilderness. But only Disney gives you that "Disney charm". We leave smiling after every trip. Consistently great is a standard every campground should strive for. - Capn Awesome
