What a dump. The park was unkept. When I mentioned this to the check in desk they said they don't maintain the "annual" sites. Which were EVERYWHERE! They have signs up telling you empty sites are annual sites. But you can tell more easily by the lack of maintenance. Many of the coaches were in DESPERATE need of cleaning. And you could lose your dogs in the tall grass and weeds. Our lasting impression wasn't of a camp resort, it was more of a "trailer park" The sewer hook up was cut flush with the concrete pad and was "sealed" with a piece of cinder block. I hooked my hose up (with a donut) just to keep from smelling it. The only areas we found with shade were only 30 amp sites. The voltage was terrible. You could here my outside fan ramping up and down. I turned most everything in the coach off just to keep from ruining things. The trees in the D section are overgrown and low hanging. We broke one of our CB antennas off just getting in. The pool looked clean at first, when you get in however, you notice the oily/moldy ring around the inside at the water line. The chairs were moldy and algae covered as well. The club house was under construction, and from talking with my camping friends has been for a LONG time. So no pool or indoor activities to escape the heat. They are however adding a bunch of new sites. So maybe when they are built they will free up the time to clean the rest of the park. As for location, Don't bother. You can only turn right upon exit and can only come in from the other side. Either way you have to turn your rig around to go anywhere. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

This resort is "old school" and in need of a facelift. The highlight of the park is the pool. The grounds area is mostly open to sunny sites with heat and weeds. Finding my own site made me a bit anxious when looking for shade. One section was completely x-ed out by the agent, and I was told not to even bother trying to book a site in the winter (even as a pass holder). I settled on a pull thru site in section D with the down side being no wifi or phone service. The desk agent informed me that the wifi in the entire park was terrible, so a site in D didn't make a difference. The area of 1000 sites was quiet with the exception to the ongoing construction from early morning until night of the new area being built. There are many locals living on the grounds at all times. I witnessed one local smashing over a dozen garbage bagged soda cans and a trailer carrying twenty TVs to scrap. I ventured over to the hot tub in the evening after the pool had cleared for a dip. The tub was not hot and was roped off the following day. My entire bathing suit faded from purple into white with the chemicals in the hot tub. I never saw any employees with the exception of an older man screaming at everyone to get out of the pool on my third day with no explanation. He just merely locked the pool area midday. The fitness facility is a small room with old equipment perhaps elders will use. The clubhouse was partially closed for renovations and the only area to actually get wifi. The upside of this campground is the clean showers and debris free grounds. This resort is attractive to camp pass holders with tourist attractions nearby. For a single RV'r merely wanting to enjoy the campground itself, it is not enticing. For families with children who want to go to Disney, this is the place. A few days stop is more than enough for travelers wanting a "camp experience." Close to everything... But allow time for major traffic all hours of the Day!! We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Tent Trailer.

As with most Thousand trails parks this one is long in the tooth. What was once I presume grass is now weeds.
Tennis courts are unusable. They did have some decent looking pickleball courts. They have two decent size pools. Too bad they don’t designate one as adult only. With traffic and there is always traffic, it is about 30 minutes to Disney World and 45 minutes to downtown Orlando. They have a lot of seasonal campers who it appears are not required to maintain their lots since many were overrun with weeds and looked like storage yards. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

Rate is $0 since we are Thousand Trails members. The park is very large and while a good park overall, there were some small items that could be improved. e.g. very few/missing weights in weight room, kids playground needs expansion/replacement. Jan-Mar is peak season at TTO and you must not arrive during this period before noon or you'll be turned away. Sites are given out in arrival order. We stayed at/near B field for both our stays due to our younger kids. My biggest tip is to stay at/near B field if you want your kids to stay outside & play all the time but don't mind the noise and kids passing through your site. If you don't have kids or don't like kids passing through your site, I advise avoiding B field/loop. There are TONS of other areas at TTO that you can enjoy that are quieter and even have better cell reception, just ask the staff member that will escort you to your site for the options. The folks in the recreation center organize lots of fun activities for kids & adults during the week, make sure to pick up a monthly calendar. There are site additions and rec center improvements planned for summer 2019. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Fifth Wheel.

Basically a suburban campground so all the big & little stores you would want within driving distance. You can even cycle to Starbucks, Lowes, etc without going out on the main road by cutting through the housing area next door (along the entrance driveway) and then navigating through the various strip malls. The British cafe (Friar Tuck) next to the library does a nice breakfast.

Very big Park. Pool was clean and heated (in Feb). Laundry room was clean, $3.00 to wash and $3.00 to dry. Machines take tokens. Volley ball in the pool at 1:00. Fresh fruit stand available on Tues & Thurs mornings. Nightly events at the dining hall. Bingo was fun. Our site was in G section which is in the back. Nice if you want to be away from the pool and clubhouse. Next time I would choose a site a lot closer (walking distance) to the pool. Lots to do in the area but the traffic is always heavy. Our site had full sun all day. Pack sunscreen! We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very large Campground w/845 sites. Here for 14 days as Thousand Trails member (membership works for us as we camp 6-7 months a year, but doubt for weekend campers). Some pull-thru, most back-in. Our site had cement slab for MH, grass w/picnic table. No fire ring, but many campers bring their own. Full hook-ups and basic tent sites. Boat launch on Lake Hancock (area D) and fishing from dock area. Nightly crowd there to watch fire-works from Disney. No swimming there as gators may be there also. During busy season, newcomers (with/without reservations) line up at noon at entrance. Before then, new campers are turned away, to come back at noon. We arrived at 3PM, went right to parking lot where you are met with golf cart person, and guided to a site. We were told by friends inside to ask for one of three sites that were open. We took one that was close to them. We use a Verizon MiFi. Reception was slooooow. Used phone hotspot and was somewhat better. Did not use the bath or w/d which was close. Usual camp store with food and camping gear. Fresh vegetable stand daily. Located on Route 27. Just south is Route 193 that takes you to Disney (World, Springs, Celebration and all else.) If you look for a restaurant or a gift store, they are along the route. Not sure if these gift stores are less costly than if in Disney. Retired military (DOD/VA disability, and a few more) go to "Shades of Green", ARMY owned hotel. There you can buy discounted tickets to any of the attractions. You can also stay there. Believe they charge by rank!! We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

As noted, 20 minutes from Disney. Restaurants galore. Check out Delavanneys Irish Pub, just south on Rt 27. Walmarts, Publix, BJ's either direction. Traffic can be bad on Rt 27 and on 193. Keep in mind that the entrance to Campground at noon is bumper to bumper for 45 minutes plus. Celebration is owned by Disney, and has many quaint shops.

The staff were very accommodating. Thousand Trails is a first come first served camping club. We were fortunate to get a site on the edge by woods. The park was very crowded. It is close to Disney, but everything was still a half-hour drive or more due to traffic. Laundry facilities are good but pricey $3 for wash and $3 for dry. It is a huge facility and kept nice and neat. I saw lots of birds including Sand Hill cranes. It was easy to navigate and the roads were wide enough to comfortably get around. We are full time RVers. We are Elite Thousand Trails members and stay within the TT system 90% of the time. Our opinion my differ from most because we look at these resorts as "home" and not a vacation location. We look for cleanliness, efficiency and location. Orlando has it all! Nice sites everywhere. Paved roads, clean toilets and showers, wonderful staff, friendly neighbors, resident turtles and flamingos, great recreation area, easy delivery of packages, steady 50 amp power, good sewer system and Disney World fireworks! Our only item we wished they had more of is a playground suitable for younger children. Other than that, we love this place. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Travel Trailer.

We went to Disney World, Sea World, and took the hop-on-hop-off bus through the downtown resort area. We also went to the Titanic Museum and a chocolate factory tour. The Rock-n-Brew resturant is close by with good food. I also suggest tthe Kennedy Space Center, and Wild Florida for air boat rides.

I felt this park was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. You get to pick your own site. The site we chose was on broken gravel but this did not bother us. We went to some activities they had. They also have 2 pools, adult large jacuzzi, volleyball, and much more. We will definitely stay here again. Great location to get to Disney, Disney Springs and a ton of restaurants very close by. Overall Rating:

We have been coming to this park on a fairly regular basis since 2013 as Elite Connections members of Thousand Trails. We don't pay a daily rate; however, it is currently from $38.00/day. We have seen great improvements in the park since then, albeit there's still room for improvement. For example, it's a shame that a lot of money has been spent to update the fitness room because it still has a terrible stench, which makes working out unpleasant. Both pools are now open to children; the park loses a few points for that. Adults should have their own space. We found it interesting that several reviewers state they were escorted to their sites. We have NEVER been escorted anywhere at this park; we have always had to drive the park and choose our own site. The bath houses are kept as clean as possible. In fact, the only time the staff may not be able to keep up with cleaning the numerous bath houses is during the winter or on holidays when the park is filled to capacity and obviously not everyone cares about their fellow campers. We try to avoid coming to this park from November to April. The staff here is hard-working and dedicated to their customers; they always have been. On rare occasions we've run into rude staff members - usually they were not permanent employees. I won't go into detail about the amenities as I would be parroting what has already been written. The majority of the sites are level, and Thousand Trails has upgraded many of them to 30/50 amp service at a great expense. More improvements are planned. Thousand Trails Orlando is a beautiful RV park compared to many RV parks we have been in. It is not as nice as parks where sites are privately owned, but it's not due to a lack of trying by the staff. We've been to 18 TT parks. We enjoy it here and highly recommend it as one of the best TT parks. It's the perfect base camp for the Orlando area or just to come and relax. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

There is a Publix Grocery within five minutes of the campground. Shops in this strip mall also include a nail salon and several small restaurants. Close to Disney (ask about the back way in when checking in). Very hot and humid in August (they have no control over the weather). Mini golf in need of updating. Bath houses had been remodeled and in excellent shape/cleanliness. Loved the idea of free use of pool table-tennis-badminton-but they only stayed in the store til 6pm. Had to place items in another room after use, which was OK, but had to be sure to sign the stuff back in the next day. We are not members, but so grateful they allow "visitors". Much cheaper than Disney's Fort Wilderness! Need to offer golf cart rentals - grandparents couldn't get out much due to mobility issues. Had to drive personal tow to everything in the park (it's that large). Bicycles are a necessity if you can ride one. Grass didn't get mowed til the day before our departure. We had pull thru concrete sites-you can tell this park is a "little aged." We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Motorhome.

They call you the day before your arrival for confirmation you are coming. You may not arrive before noon. Then you are directed to a holding area and you tell a person in a golf cart what your wishes are. They then lead you to a spot, Our Verizon wifi worked really well and Dish satellite was super in I section. There are tons of activities for everyone. Twice weekly fresh produce is sold in the park. We loved this place. We have stayed here a few times. Laundry was expensive. $3 for wash and $3 to dry! We did find a great laundry nearby that was clean and half the price. The showers are ok here, nothing to special but not gross. Thankfully when we stayed we get spots close to the bathhouse and laundry.

You want to get here early because there is a rush at check in. They drive you to the available spots but you can request an area and they will see what they have available. This place is always packed with kids. We were told to go to the B field. There was a nice pool, mini golf, giant chess and checkers sets to play with. You have to pay for Wi-Fi.

You can see the fireworks from Disney at night. There was a nature trail. There are signs up not to swim in the bodies of water that are around because of alligators. Scary! This park is confusing to navigate. There are one way streets and people will let you know if you are going the wrong way. We camped at Orlando RV Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Travel Trailer.
