Dec 2017 - $40.00
Park is awesome!! Huge, level sites. Staff is exceptional and friendly. Tons of activities during the winter months. - Roberta Paoni
Mar 2017 - $36.00
Standard grass back in full hook up site. Open behind us. Pool was warm and clean. Enjoyed bike rides around the park on the paved roads and even up the entrance road. Nice large dog park with good secure fencing. Quiet. Many seasonal campers present. CG is south of Clewiston. CG is clean and well managed. Good place if you are looking for a quiet getaway. We will return. - Sunnie-Wheelhouse
Jan 2017 - $21.00
The park is very nice with mostly seasonal campers (snow birds). Sites are very spacious with full hookups. Heated pool and clubhouse. WiFi and cell reception good to very good. Nothing is close to this park with the nearest town, Clewiston, being a 40 minute drive. Three different site levels with grass ($633 one month) being the cheapest. During our one month stay it was very quiet. - ItsAllGood

Nights Stayed – 3 Park Overall – The Park is a typical South FL RV Park, with very small sites. There is a lake in the park with many sites on the lake. There are no trees to speak of in the park. The park has well maintained paved roads. All sites are grass; most have cement patios. Overall the park is in need of upgrades which is taking place. The park residents were mainly there for the winter season. RV Type Used - 5th Wheel 28 Ft, one slide. My Site (143) – The site is small, narrow and long, with ample space to back in with little difficult. The site is level and on the lake. Bath house is nearby. What We Did – Bass Fishing – Restroom –Very clean, hand soap and hand drier provided. Bath – Very clean, but heat was not required in Nov. Cell Service - Verizon worked, 3+ bars - 3G at lease Internet Access – NA – We connected via Verizon Hotspot on our phone. Satellite TV – Reception no problem on any site. Basic Shopping – There is Wal-Mart, 6 miles from the park. Dining – Tiki Grill on the canal has great food, a wonderful water front view and the food and atmosphere is the best. Most Bass Tournaments weigh in at the Tiki Marina which is open to the public. Would I Return – Yes, best in the area from what I saw. - johnrobertpowers

We spent 3 months here last winter. We are not going back this year. The campground itself was very nice. The people who worked there also very nice. The best thing about this place is that it's located on the very edge of town with a paved sidewalk into town. It takes about 15 minutes to bike to the grocery store and hardware. The town is a good location for visiting both the Ft. Myers area on the Gulf of Mexico and Miami on the Atlantic. The town has a small movie theater that was very nice. The town has no movie rental store. The very worst thing about this park is the near by sugar plant. The smell is truly awful. We would leave town when there was a Southwest wind. That is why we will not return. Another thing about this park is that 90% of the campers are from French Canada, so most of the activities are in French. Everyone was super nice to us but we still felt a little left out. - mouldsfn
Feb 2006 - $35.00
The park was ok. We just spent one night passing thru. The woman I talked with on the phone was very nice. The woman that checked us in at the guard shack was the nastiest person I have ever dealt with at a campground. Incredible! Won't stop there again. Too bad, overall the park is ok. - karonb

Dec 2015 - $35.00
The Clewiston / Lake Okechobee RV park is small and lacks amenities. I have since stayed at another wonderful park nearby. The park borders a cow field and is near loud train tracks and the highway. I found the website allures the park to be something it is not. The park claims to have free WiFi which in the first part of my stay did not work at all. After I was told it was repaired, I still wasn't able to even check my email let alone stream a movie. The spots are unpaved and maintained horribly. The restrooms showers are filthy. Aside from the close proximity to the town I was disappointed in my stay at the park. It is well worth the short drive to stay in the many other wonderful parks nearby. - ExperiencedCamper1
Mar 2014 - $34.00
We stayed in this park for 5 months and loved every minute of it. It is in a rural setting and the spaces are generous and grassy with lots of trees. They have propane on site which is so handy. There are plenty of activities if you are interested in that kind of thing. It is only a few miles to town which makes it very convenient. We will be sure to stay there if we're ever in South Florida again. - WOMING RAMBLERS
Nov 2013 - $35.00
This campground is a few miles outside of Clewiston. It is surrounded by pastures with plenty of cows and the campground is quiet and peaceful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. My site was near the edge of the campground and the Wi-Fi reception was not very good from my site. It was much better closer to the office. Laundry facilities were clean. Nice relaxing place to stay. - User3319

Short 5 minutes drive from clewiston. Friendly staff, clean, majority park models, but a number of tow behind too. Super clean bath house/ pool. Grounds are very well kept. Awesome people, excellent tiki hut! - Good citizen
Apr 2016 - $30.00
This was a one night stopover in our 38' pusher coach towing a vehicle. Got a pull thru at the very back of the park by their storage lot. The roads in this older park are VERY narrow. I was barely able to swing our rig around in the grass field to line up with a site, which was also grass and on a little hill. If it had been wet or raining I would have been stuck for sure. I did get the coach leveled, thankfully. The electric was very erratic so we couldn't use the m'wave. Glad we didn't need the a/c. The park was quiet and the WiFi was excellent at our site. Would not stay here again. - Cap'n Easy
Jan 2016 - $31.00
Old Florida charm! This park is immaculately clean and well kept. It is older with many older park models but the lots are well taken care of with many having interlocking pavers. There is always ground maintenance trimming the trees and hedges and changing the garbage cans. There are lots of activities and the people are very friendly. The owner also seems to do a lot for the residents. Free dinners, prizes for activities all come out of his pocket. This is the complete opposite of the last park I stayed at. The showers are spotless, there is a huge library and the clubhouse is older but decent. I will definitely be back. - love to travel64

We kind of enjoyed this park for 2 nights. Inspite of the fact that it is out in the middle of nowhere, rundown and needs upgrading, we had a nice view of the estuary and enjoyed slamming the fish-cleaning house door to attract the large alligators to the dock. Also, a great wetlands bird-watching place. Some of the seasonal people were still there who were very friendly and told us that the park is almost full during season. They have a great clubhouse where they had an ice cream social and a resident bluegrass jam session. We would return for a few nights again if we are ever in the area. - Desertqueensb
Apr 2009 - $15.00
Park appears to be For Sale, Very rundown, low voltage power. Laundry all but defunct. Would not step foot in restrooms, let alone use them. No windbreaks makes a very windy park. Could barely see bottom of 4 ft swimming pool. Many, old, rundown RV's in this park. Only hard stand sites are in the parking lot, the rest is sand and gravel. There is no security gate so anyone can drive in. Water pressure is good. Club house but no activities that we could see. Fish cleaning house and boat docks. Park is very isolated with nothing around for several miles. We would not stay here again. It was a reduced rate park through RPI. - retditto

Full service, level concrete pads and well landscaped environment. What else could anyone ask for? This is a real gem! - snabo
May 2017 - $28.00
This is a very well maintained campground, with helpful staff at check in. Interior roads are wide and paved and big rig access is very good. Our site was very spacious, plenty of space for our towed, two picnic tables and a barbecue. Our pad was a level paved back in, we did hear a little train and road noise, but it was very minimal, as we requested a site well away from the main road. The bathrooms were modern and clean but the laundry room was in need of a good clean and a fresh coat of paint. There is a security gate 24/7 which we liked. Pet friendly but no pick up bags or disposal station. WiFi was good and AT&T was fine.
This is a nice place to kick back and relax, not much to do unless you like boating or fishing on the lake. For us it was fine for a couple of nights and we would stay here again, but we did find that places to eat were very limited as was the sightseeing. - tobyjug
Apr 2017 - $28.00
This is one of the nicest county owned parks that we have stayed in while traveling all over the US, Canada, and much of Mexico. Stayed here overnight on our way from Key West to Kissimmee. It is such a nice 24 hour gated park we wished we were staying two nights just to relax for a day, but had already made reservations in Kissimmee. Based on previous reviews we asked for a 30 amp site and we were given one on Shellcracker Circle that backed right up to the lake and was near the end of the circle. About 7 in the evening we saw a fairly large alligator swimming along the lake shore right behind us. We slept with the bedroom windows open and heard a little traffic noise but it was not disturbing. The 50 amp sites are wider than the 30's with room to park a tow vehicle next to the RV on the pad. All utilities worked well and very good wifi. Picnic table is on a concrete pad. OTA tv brought in 30 some stations. ATT was only good for 1-2 bars LTE. The only negative about this site was a tree at the end of the pad which kept us from backing up farther than we wanted to. As a result this level site just fit our 33' motorhome and tow car. Many, many of the sites do not have any obstruction in the back. Staff at checkin was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. - cjca

Mar 2018 - $12.00
3rd winter here. This is the only one with a view of the lake. There is one on Torry island inside the levee but with 600 campers and tall grass they can't see the lake :( Most GPS will take you to the center of town, 190 N. Lake is actually up over the levee to the lake and left. BTW the address on the office says 90, someday they will put the 1 back up. Cheaper to pay for a month. The grounds keeping is done by Public Works, another truck for the baths. You will see them all coming in to check their systems plus Fish & Game checking the fishermen's catch and the Palm Beach police tend to take their breaks here. New this year is 12 hour night security and there are 3 doggy waste stations, each is across from a bath. One of the reasons for that night security is there has been some petty theft of unlocked items, a few bikes, fishing gear, a ministers wallet from his unlocked car, my solar lights and a flag I put on the site so late arrivals wouldn't think the site was available when we were off exploring. Unlike most Florida campgrounds there are no perment campers here. I think the limit is 11 months. All 118 campsites are lakefront. Across the road from your site is a grass covered levee so there is plenty of maneuvering room except sites 21 and 22 across from the dump station. If your neighbors are angled in to better watch the sunset you'll need to also. All sites are close to level and hard packed. If you need to put in tent stakes you should ask for a site with somethings to tie onto like a tree, pole, table or fireplug. - LatitudeAdjustment
Mar 2017 - $35.00
This is the only campground on the lake other than Bella Glade where the grass is too high to see the lake. All of the others are on the backside of the dike. The main attraction here is sunset scoring, gator and manatee counting. This was our 2nd visit here, 2 months in 2016, 3 months in 2017 and we have made reservations for 2018. All sites are lakefront with plenty of manuvering room except 21 and 22 that are across from dump station which I have never seen anyone use. This is a quiet campground for snowbirds, retires, fishermen and locals who come for the weekends. There is no playground on site for kids. There is a small one in town next to the library. The pool is not heated but stayed in the mid 70's all winter. The campground is run by the city and it's their public works department that does an excellent job keeping it clean and mowed. There are some reviews that call the town scary, it is poor but I walk to the post office a few times a week, barber shop, Save-a-Lot and the dollar stores and never worried. I wouldn't walk into town at night but the locals you meet there, the fishing breakwater and picnic area are friendly. The towns problems don't spill over into the campground maybe because this is where a lot of Palm Beach County police take their breaks and patrols come thru 4-6 times a day. The police boat is kept here also. Shopping is limited in town but I run into West Palm to dive a few times a week and hit Publix and BJ's while there. The only down side this year is the Tiki Bar was closed but a new owner is coming. There is a propane truck that comes thru usually on Tuesday and Thursday. Daily rate is $35, I think tent sites are $25 but you are better off renting by the month. $240 plus tax, bed fee, water and metered electric will be about $350 The office is closed Sunday, Tuesday and Holidays. There is supposably free Wi-Fi but usually you can only get it at the office, the repeaters on the bathrooms don't seem to be working. - LatitudeAdjustment

This park was in a beautiful spot with RV looking out on Lake Okeechobee but is a place I will never return to. Hats off to the young lady who was looking after the park as she was above & beyond in kindness and understanding! The area itself is very frightening and seems to be struggling with incredible poverty and high crime rates. Not a safe feeling when you go through the town or away from your RV. Booked for 1 month, stayed 5 nights. - Carol-Ann

Dec 2018 - $23.00
Access from road is rough, construction caused huge issues with grade and turning. Not their fault. Access road to campground has no signage once you leave the highway. Branches scraped the top of our coach in three places. Not their fault, as a county road, we were told. Packet of papers provided on checkin referred to restaurant with dinner menu included. No dinner is served at this restaurant. Details were also provided on sorting trash for recycling, and map with dumpsters was noted. No dumpsters exist. Office staff said they were all removed due to "illegal dumping". There is some schedule for picking up trash at your site. Small dog park was nice with benches and a shade tree. No grass, but nice enough. Driving range was reasonably priced, and golf pro was congenial. All sites are level, back in with easy hookups. No picnic table, nothing. Grassy with small concrete pad set too far back to use. Park is 95% snowbirds that have zero interest in the annoying transients. - DebbieT in Alabama
Feb 2018 - $40.00
Stayed 4 nites. Very nice campground. Most come here for golf. There is a boat ramp for access to river connecting lake Okeechobee or Tampa. Some park models, but not excessive. Restaurant on site but didn't go. - Long Island Mac
Apr 2017 - $10.00
We are annual lessees and have seen numerous improvements over the last year. Some projects move a little slow but eventually get done. The new owner has recognized that annuals are his bread and butter and is treating them fairly. Announced in writing last fall there would be no lease increase for 2017/18. Lots of amenities in the park (see their website) and recent newsletter listed more improvements are in the works. Office and park maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. - PT Traveller

This was out third - and last - season at this place. We did, in the past, enjoy this park and made many good friends (see my earlier review). Unfortunately the new manager there lacks the skills to maintain a welcoming and friendly environment. We were exposed to threats and intimidation and often felt like being in a school camp rather than a senior resort. We have decided to take our money to another resort. - dswiss
Mar 2018 - $44.00
Park has good power and water. Concrete pads but most are breaking up. Pretty quite. narrow roads and tight getting out if someone is parked in front of there place. They do move so makes it ok. Little high for just an overnight. - neilontheroad
Feb 2018 - $15.00
Stayed there for 3 months in 2014, 2016 and 2018. Have reservations for 2019 for 3 months. They have a lot of activities every day and night. People are very friendly and management provides the rules and she enforces them with everyone. They maintain the grounds and buildings very well. Pool is heated and well taken care of. The rec hall is in use everyday and night with activities and special events. I have recommended it to several friends and have friends coming down this year for a couple months. We call this our WINTER HAPPY PLACE !! - Bill Eckhart
