On arrival, we were greeted at the counter by two very rude ladies. Understanding that everyone has bad days, we tried to make them laugh, but no, a sign of things to come. Cable didn't work for a week until I insisted they service it, water went out for a day and the park is just not kept up well at all. The lots are so small, the awning hangs over the firepit, don't plan on using the firepits, they are too close to your unit and you cannot move over or you will be against the electrical pole. Trash pickup is nice feature as is pool being opened 23 hours of day/nite. But free wifi- actually means "wifi free", it doesn't work AT ALL. We have been here close to a month. When I went to front desk to ask about moving to a larger location, the lady rudely replied, no. When I asked to have the manager contact me, she said, "what for", disgusted with having to do her job. The park manager never called even after I left the phone number. KOA said its an independently owned park, deal with it. I cannot recommend this park AT ALL. We are a full-time family for the last year and this is the FIRST bad review I felt was necessary to leave. To top it off, they rent RVs. So they park in all the empty spots with their rental RV's and at 8am sharp, they run power washers to clean awnings of the rentals. In other lots they have contractors banging in units and putting in flooring. And the "level lots" they speak of, are non-existent. The police were here a couple of times, not sure why. Talked to one guy who said gypsies were breaking into his truck for tools. For the love of God, stay at a truck stop if you want abuse, its hard to pay for it.... We camped at Orlando Southwest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Traveling full-time in a 38-foot coach we stayed 14-nights in a site for big rigs (site #140 - Pd $68./night). This was our first visit here. We live in the age of WIFI technology and there is nothing to stop this RV park from investing in doing WIFI properly. For some users such as ourselves, WIFI is an important feature and was one of the reasons for our stay here. We were told both by email and phone that each site had a good wifi signal. The wifi in and around our site was just about non-existent. We were in direct sight of two wifi towers, but still couldn't get a decent connection, even at 5am. Other guests we spoke with also had non-existent wifi! We even have the WIFI-Ranger on our roof with a direct-line-of-sight to their wifi source. There were no trees in the line-of-sight, and the distance was not a factor. Initially there was a mix-up when we checked-in...after checking-in to the office and being assigned a site, we proceeded to our site to find it was already occupied by a family who intended to stay for a week. Returning to the office, the office gal was confused, but she located an alternate site for us. The first site was a pull-thru, but the second site was a back-in, for a deserved cheaper price. This park is built on a hill and most of the sites in the back of the park are terraced along the hill side. Most of the terraced sites are not level and require the use of levelers. The sites at the front of the park are level with nice gravel pads, but the terraced sites are sand, dirt and grass and placed close together. The site we were placed on was way too unlevel for a coach our size. The driver-side was almost one foot off the ground, and because of the sand & dirt base after just a couple days we had to re-level. We camped at Orlando Southwest KOA in a Motorhome.

Clean campground with paved roads. Close to I-4 and hwy 27 so get a lot of road noise. Stayed 3 nights, had full hook up site with 50 amp service and cable. Cable seemed to be turned off each night around 5:30 and back on around 7 a.m. odd we thought. Did not use rest room facilities, Pool clean and well kept. exercise area clean. Had a site at the bottom of the hill in front, was not very level as front of coach was almost off the ground. Close to plenty of shopping and not far from Disney. Would stay here again. Overall Rating:

This was the drop off site for our rental RV so that was the reason we chose this campground in the Orlando area. Ours was a pull site with full hookups. The site contained a picnic table and a fire ring. There was a fire ban in place at the time so we didn't use the fire ring. Also, the fire ring was so close to our camper that we probably wouldn't have used it anyway! It appears there are plans to redo the sites to alleviate those situations. This is a deluxe park with a large pool open 24 hours. The park building also contains a large store and a billiard room plus a meeting room. There were some snowbirds still camping here in late April. We did not take advantage of any of the amenities as we were here for just one night and needed to clean out our RV to turn it in the next day. But the staff was very friendly and attentive Bathrooms were very clean in the main building. There were several toilet stalls and, I believe, two shower stalls. There was another bathhouse in the park but I did not use it or inspect it. This park might be a bit too far from the Kissimmee attractions but is in a good location if just coming into the area or just leaving. And, as mentioned, it is also a choice of some snowbirds. We camped at Orlando Southwest KOA in a Motorhome.

We have just completed staying here for our 3rd winter. We love it here up on the hill, but this winter has been extremely noisy. There are several pipeline workers living here for a while and most of them are young single guys. They all start their diesel trucks, with glass pack mufflers around 6:00am and let them idle for a while before going to work. Then, on weekends they speed up in the park all hours of the night. There is no security in this park and no one to enforce speed limit. Also, our truck and our friends vehicle got "keyed" one night--once again lack of security. We camped at Orlando Southwest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is a very large, clean park. Our site was easily accessed but our view was the 2 dumpsters across the street, and the nearby hotels and their bright night lights. We were only here for 2 days so those things were not a big concern for us. The laundry facility that I used was in the middle of the park and was very small and unkempt. I had to clean the lint traps prior to using the dryers. Even after pre-treatment of a few fresh food stains, the stains remained after the wash. The cost of using them is about average for an rv park. The staff in the office was friendly and accommodating but the staff out on the grounds in their golf carts, never acknowledged anyone, not even a smile. Access to the interstate is great, especially if you are going to Disney. Pets are welcome on leashes and they have a small dog park. They even provide dog bags and small trash containers for the doggie-do. Overall, we would stay again when traveling this way. We camped at Orlando Southwest KOA in a Motorhome.

Park was very well kept and staff was very accomodating. All of the facilities were clean, and if you have a dog, convenient drop sites with bags. Our site was on a extreme slope, so it took several blocks to get us level. Most of the monthly sites have some degree of slope. If you are here weekly, the sites are more level. Great location for easy on/off rt. 4. Disney only 20min. away. We camped at Orlando Southwest KOA in a Motorhome.

This park's location is great for visiting the Orlando and Tampa area attractions, and there are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. It is a very large campground with a lot of sites, but unless you stay in the back of the property, you would never know it as it is quiet even though it is near the interstate. There are a lot of palm trees so our site had considerable shade, but it did make it a little tight in some spots for getting our 35-ft RV in and out of the site. The price was right for the location, and we will stay here again the next time we visit the area. We camped at Orlando Southwest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

I was a little worried about the previous reviews. Very happy we choose this place. Clean and right near everything you need. Target, Dicks sport goods, and all the normal shops. Sites where packed sand/grass, but no mushy or swampy areas. Staff was friendly and allowed us our choice of sites. The only negative was they have some low hanging trees in some sites and roads. If you have a travel trailer, pop up or class c motor home you would have no issue at all. We had to detour around one road, which made our pull through a back in, but I backed a 38ft RV in without even sliding the hitch back. Sites selection will make a big difference as some could be tight with slides and putting awning out. We would stay here again. We camped at Orlando Southwest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is nightly for 7 days with KOA club discount. Good, clean, well run KOA close to Disney property. We were here during the dead weeks after Thanksgiving and they gave us a nice site in the back of the park consisting of two back-ins rear to rear that we used as a long pull-through. Utilities worked well and were placed in the sites so we did not have to strech cords or hoses. My advice, stay here and use the FREE shuttle to Disney and the other attractions. They take you right to the gates - easy in, easy out. No driving when tired. I have no connection to this park but we RV full time and this is a nice park with good service and friendly staff. We will stay here in the future. We camped at Orlando Southwest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We gave this place a 3 on 10. Any park that has a sign saying "Welcome to the best RV Park in the Worlds" should arouse suspicion. Any park that has less than half of its 250 sites occupied during March Break, should arouse suspicion. We like to think of KOAs as "The best surprise is no surprise." But I guess you can't not be surprised every time. The good points: It is relatively close to the attractions. The price is competitive. The main things work. On the other hand: The self-serve dumpsters were full to overflowing on Saturday when we arrived, and stayed that way until they were emptied on Monday (7 AM - noisy), with the associated aromatics. But the emptying did not include a bunch of mattresses and other junk that had been rotting in the dumpster enclosure for some time. And, today, Saturday again, they are back to overflowing and stinking. We were in the campground enough of the time to see that the toilets were not cleaned daily. The laundry room was gross: filthy and smelly. Of the 250 sites, about half were full, and a fair number of these had that deserted look. A bunch seemed to be for sale. Imagine trying to get $25 K for a rusted out 1978 hulk of tin. The park is mostly on a hill, which didn't seem to bother the battalions of ants that invaded us twice: no spraying that we saw. The tradeoff for proximity to the attractions is that the park is located at the vortex of I-4, SR-27 and the local water filtration plant: talk about sensory stimulation. As a one-nighter on the way to somewhere else, perhaps this joint is OK, but for a week of touristing: not. We camped at Orlando Southwest KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Easy access right off of I-4. Nice pool and office area. Wi-fi worked great for us. We were near the office, but I believe wi-fi is good throughout the park. People were great. We stayed in a level pull through in row 1 near the pool, plenty of space and some shade We camped at Orlando Southwest KOA in a Motorhome.
