Overall Rating:

While not exactly what I think of as a "resort" in terms of amenities, this is an excellent place just to spend time and enjoy the many features of the gulf coast. The park is clean, neat and very well maintained with modern hookups. Each space is equipped with a large and level concrete pad that features a spacious patio area. You will have to bring your own picnic table if you plan on outdoor eating. Trees are liberally planted throughout the area but do not pose a problem for satellite users. Thought with the excellent WiFi and cable TV you probably won't want to breakout the sat dish. Most spaces are easy back-in style, but they do have a few pull-thru sites to offer. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating. Our rate was based on the weekly discount, but they also offer Good Sam for daily visitors. If we find our plans bring us back to the area, this is certainly on our list of places to consider. We camped at Geronimo RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Lots to do in the gulf area, with a short walk to beautiful beaches. Shopping is plentiful with a nearby shopping center that seems to go on for blocks. Great selection of restaurants too.

This park is conveniently located, clean, and not difficult to get to. Quiet. Site practically perfectly level; jacks not needed. Hookups conveniently located, in good condition, and worked correctly. Will stay here again if in the area. No frills, but just what you need for a safe, quiet place to stay. Tips for other Campers:

If coming from the west, recommend turning south at Geronimo St. Low hanging wire (higher than 12'7") and curvy street, but navigable street. Just take it slow.

Overall Rating:

Our third month on the road. Compared to previous parks, found Geronimo a little pricey with no amenities and distance from the beach. However, owner and facilities couldn't have been nicer. Bathhouse with large showers was spotless. Small, peaceful park with SUPERIOR WiFi (why we chose this park). Great RV campground for quality "basics." We camped at Geronimo RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Level, FHU, 50 amp, easy in and out. Awkward getting to the park but okay. Well kept, near the beach. More than I wanted to pay but is the norm for Destin. We camped at Geronimo RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Many of the sites were a tight squeeze and the lots are narrowband. You are very close to the trees they need to be trimmed back. So we opted to stay in site #1 which was a pull through but not much of a view. You faced a big open field and a water tower with construction . The guys were sandblasting in the morning at 7 AM and then again at 3 o'clock when we return back from the beach, a little noisy at times . The best part was the beach it was about two blocks away. Beautiful waves and an awesome sunset. the water was gorgeous and the temperature was about 82°. No shells on this beach at all so easy to walk.

We were only here for two nights and the cable didn't work however they got it fixed before we left. One suggestion make sure you have plenty of ice, the closest store is Winn-Dixie which is six blocks away. I recommend they get an ice machine for their campers to purchase would be helpful. We walked to the beach and didn't want to drive. We also had bikes to ride and you could ride to the beach. We camped at Geronimo RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

In my opinion, it's the best park in the area if you have dogs and want to go to the beach. Since dogs are not allowed on the beach, then at least you are near by and can check on them regularly. Another park is nearer to the beach, but has a limit if 22 or 23 feet max. in their park. Good hookup pedestal. Allowed pens outside for the dogs. Beware: nasty little dog in the office that ran out to attack my dog while I was standing outside waiting for my husband. We camped at Geronimo RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here three nights and chose the park because it offered Passport America rates. At $60 a night rack rate, it would have seemed too expensive, since it offered no resort facilities; e.g. a pool, hot tub, clubhouse, etc. The park was immaculate, sites were perfectly level, staff professional and friendly. A good location for tourism in Destin and surrounds. It was so clean, I wanted to be outdoors most of the time. We camped at Geronimo RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Destin is a lot of fun, especially on the waterfront. There are also a good many "finds" for dining and drinking in the quaint communities along Highway 30A.

Not sure how they believe they qualify as a "resort".

The site was very clean and the staff friendly but the sites are very close together. No pool. No games room. No entertainment.

IMO ,$70 for a parking space is excessive. We camped at Geronimo RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Park is clean, quite and small with 29 sites and some pull thru. Pads are cement and narrow with a patio, WIFI, no table, no pool, no garbage pick up and no shuttle to beaches. Staff is friendly and helpful. Looks like a couple full time residents. We camped at Geronimo RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed for one month and would recommend this RV park to anyone who enjoys warm customer service and a very well maintained relaxing atmosphere. Park is clean, grass is cut weekly and concrete pads are level. The owner even resodded our site because some dead grass had my dog focused on digging. The woman in the office is so nice, she accepted our mail and UPS deliveries. We would choose Geronimo on our next visit to Destin! We camped at Geronimo RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is a few miles from Harbour Village, however it is a short easy walk (1 block) to the "old highway 98" or Beach strip. Beach access is right there. Also, there are a couple of restaurants nearby. Washrooms and grounds were clean and organized. Lots were wide and spacious. Wifi and cable worked well. We used the Laundromat and had no issues. The price reflects it's closeness to the beach for endless walks. We would recommend it. We camped at Geronimo RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a small park off the main roads that is really in Miramar Beach (use this for accurate GPS). If entering off Scenic Gulf Drive make sure you make the first turn into the park. The sites are roomy and everything worked properly. This time of year most of the campers are snowbirds. The beach is about 4 blocks away. Easy access to nearby shopping and restaurants.
