The park has good spaces. Had changed management, most of the campers that came in were put in wrong spots or had to move. The park has some issues.

No lighting at entrance sign and lights we were told had been out for months; can’t see where to turn in. The park has no gates. People come in park all time; had stuff stolen in the park. There is no drainage when it rains; it is a mud hole water up to your ankles.

The pools are not heated. They close pools at dark - people like to swim late.

No lights inside park most of them don’t work.

The amenities are spread out between three different parks.

They need same amenities at each park. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park, that they are updating.. No cable at our site Which you think they would have calling the park a resort. Site was grass and was one of the largest. Looks like they are putting in more concrete pads. Streets are narrow but manageable. Lots of I4 noise on our side called the Palms. WiFi slow And signal ok. Lots of longer term people. Would stay again. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I was here back in 2017 and had to come back for a month due to our reservation elsewhere "not panning out". I was hoping for some improvement from our last stay, but did not see any. Water here is TERRIBLE. We still have to change out our water filters every two or three weeks because they get so clogged up and affect the water pressure. The ground is soft and when wet, easy to get stuck in. They are putting in some concrete pads if you want to sign a two year contract to pay them every month. The noise from I-4 gets old real fast. All day and night you can hear the traffic. I know I will never return here again. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Sun RV Resorts has taken over what was originally 3 KOA, looks like MH parks. Most of the residents appear to be full time and where they have taken out old units the sites are now rented to transients. Ours was grass with a concrete pad that we parked on. FHU, spotty wifi and unreliable cable. All the facilities - pool, laundry and bath were very nice. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A very large RV resort with several empty spaces used for transient campers. The facility has all the amenities of other resort properties we have stayed at. Golf carts are permitted on the property. Water pressure average. Wifi was available but we did not use it. Tampa East is off I-4, 3 miles east of I-75. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The staff were very friendly and explained everything well. Our site was partially shaded by some very nice looking trees and backed onto a picturesque stream. We were close to the pool, laundry, and restrooms, but were not bothered by traffic. Most sites around us were empty. There are many stores within a short driving distance. The only thing we didn't like was a slight but persistent odor from the water treatment pond that was located a couple of hundred yards upwind from us, but it wasn't too bad. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed for three nights. First night was $60.75 incl tax due to a special event nearby. The next two nights were $50.49 each. Sun does not offer online reservations which is annoying. Our initial reservation for one night was made via telephone. Upon arrival, we had to wait in line over ten minutes to check-in. It's a busy place. Staff was pleasant and efficient. When we added two nights later, they were very helpful and we did not have to change sites. This is a big park with lots of little roads. We would have appreciated an escort to our site. We missed a turn trying to get to our space. Roads are a bit tight but manageable...but tight enough to concern you when you realize you missed your turn or when a vehicle is coming towards you (although motorists were really good about carefully passing rigs or pedestrians). A friendly camper helped us figure out how to get back to our site. Our site (A-10) was next to the office, shuffleboard area, propane tank, trash dumpster, playground and pool. We also backed to the highway (McIntosh). In spite of numerous "obstacles"; surprisingly, it wasn't terribly noisy nor was there any nuisance. The highway quiets down at night. Our site had a tree providing welcome shade in the afternoon although it also provided lots of messy leaves and fuzz to the roof of our coach and toad. Both were absolutely filthy after three nights. Some sites are cement pull-thru's but most are dirt/grass/sand back-ins. Reasonable grassy space in between sites in our particular area. Grounds are clean and maintained. We did not experience mosquitoes or ants. Some sites aren't level so you might need blocks. Hook-ups worked well. Satisfactory Verizon cell, Verizon Mifi and DirecTV signals. Some sites might have trees blocking satellite signal. I didn't see any recycling options. The overall park is very popular and full mid-February. If returning to the area, we would evaluate all options first but would be willing to stay here again. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice RV park with many large and wide sites. FHU's. 50 amp. All are back-in level grass sites. Pool. Most people in park are Snow Birds who come for 6 mo's each year. Very friendly. Some road noise as is near freeway, but not horrible. Some sites by freeway may have been louder than ours. Internal roads are somewhat narrow, but OK. Lots of Big Rigs in park. Trees are well trimmed so no danger to rigs. They have a hot tub, another pool, and other amenities in a different section of the park. Those sites are smaller and may all be park models (but not sure). We did not see these amenities; we saw only the nice pool by the office. Would stay here again. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Office staff was very pleasant and friendly, we were with a rally and an area was set aside for our group. Some areas were difficult to get level. The green algae was still present in the retention pond, as it was the last time we were here, and the mosquitos must love it, as we had a lot of them! We watched a large tag axle coach get stuck in the sand in a grassy area, which resulted in them having to call a large wrecker to get them out. The staff worked with the motorhome owners for a long time trying to dig them out first, to no avail. Pool looked clean and inviting. No issues with electric or water, and the wifi was adequate during non peak hours. Interior roads are paved and no issues getting in and out. Close to several large RV dealers. Some sites are very good for satellite. No cable. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is the second visit to this park, and not much has changed. The drainage pond at the rear of our campsite was green with algae and a lot of dead palm fronds, could have used a good cleaning around the area. It was tough to get level in area they use for rallies. There is constant traffic noise. I'm sure that further back in the park it isn't as bad. Good interior paved roads, easy to navigate. Pool was clean and inviting. It was very dark in the park at night, as they didn't turn on the street lights. Sites are grass and not level, but that was in the rally section. Easy hook up for sewer and water, and no issues with either. We would stay here again for a rally. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Rate based on a monthly stay. The park is well shaded but the trees are very dirty and you need to wash your vehicle before you pull in your slides. Most sites are dirt and grass that could be muddy I would think we but did not have much rain. The three pools tend to all be taken over by the French in the winter. Sites in the newer section are large. Noise from the highway is terrible 24 hrs a day and there is a sewage structure near the newer part. The odor of disinfectant is bad if you are within a block. Washrooms are old but clean. The ones near the road have a code but the interior ones do not and people from the outside come in and use them. Laundry is adequate but busy. Due to the noise I would not stay here again. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We were in a "Super" site. They are far from super. They are about 1/4 the size of the regular sites and twice the price. They have concrete parking pads while the regular sites are dirt and grass which convert to mud when it rains a lot. WIFI is weak at its best (we have a signal booster) and it requires logging on repeatedly during the day. Utilities are basically okay, but we did have one electric outage and another brownout. Sites around the pool are noisy and our site backs up to within 2 feet of the rig behind us. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The park is set up in two distinct sections - the Palms and the Oaks. The Palms being the newer of the two and more RV oriented with wider sites and fewer permanent park models. Upon arrival, we were sent to the Oaks section around the corner from main entrance. Before we set up here, we unhitched the car and drove it to our site. The site here was too small so off I went to the office to ask for another site. Now, the ladies at the office were very nice, but we got the feeling that they are told to fill up the few RV sites in the older section before offering anthing in the newer section. They found us 3 possibilities in the Palms secton. We were surprised by fairly good wifi. Overall, the facility is a funny mix of park models and mobile homes especially in the rear of the Palms, and almost all of the Oaks with some RV sites. There are a total of 3 swimming pools and a hot tub, pickle ball, shuffleboard, petanque and activity halls and fitness center. There are a couple of algea covered fishing ponds. We had to spray for ants as they were crawling up the sides of the motorhome. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed the entire Winter season, told them I will never come back. WiFi is terrible, you have to sign in every couple of mins. If you can get on. No cable, lots of trees, one has to make sure your lot can get satillite reception. Lots are large, depending on what you are assigned. They say it could get muddy, but we didn't get much rain, so I could not say. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We only got a 30-amp and water hookup, no sewer. The wifi was spotty and kept dropping off. Our campsite was grass and covered with pine needles. We thought the price was high for that. There are many long term residents there, many from Canada. There is a pool and rec room available as well as paddle ball court. The laundry room was clean and most machines were functional.
