Very very tight and cramped. I felt like everyone was on top of each other. We had a lot of difficulty getting out because of cars parked along the road. We had to have someone move a car and a golf cart so that we could make the turn to leave. Definitely not designed for a 40 ft motorhome. We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Called on another encore property and they were full, but they said this one had a spot. Made the reservation without checking the reviews...what a mistake! In RVing from coast to coast have I ever stayed in such a cramped "resort". Never have we been porch to porch awnings inched apart before. No privacy. Neighbor loved to talk, even if you were reading a book. Electric hookups ahead of RV and sewer/water almost behind. Water pressure the worst I have experienced. Went to use the pool, but the green color turned us away. Watched people with travel trailers struggle for 30 minutes getting their unit into tight, tight spots. So glad I only reserved four nights. Trust all the reviews, they are spot on. We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I should have paid attention to prior reviews. I read them After I stayed there and they're "right on the money". The place is tight, tight, tight. I have a 40 ft. motor home and was nervous entering and exiting. If I didn't have a guide entering I probably would have turned around and left. It is NOT big rig friendly. Also, in need of upgrading, very badly. The pool area and fitness center were fine. (didn't use the pool or hot tub but they looked fine) Someone said "keep going past". I agree. There are many, many more RV parks in the area. Picnic table was unusable unless you had cushions for the benches. I'm glad I was just using it for sleeping. Very close to town/beaches but so are other more suitable places if you have a big rig and want to "hang" at your site. We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Please keep driving! The term "resort" is misleading! The park has a dirty swimming pool, sites that have cracked and chipped patios and tight, tight sites! Dog park is disgusting! There are three 30 gallon garbage cans on the property for dog waste...not emptied until over flowing! Sites are sand based. When it rains, trailers and autos sink into the ground. Not gated and security is offered only three nights a week. Customer service deplorable! We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent three nights here in February. As others have noted, the streets and sites are tight and the park has a run-down, crowded feeling to it. Our site was a pull-in located next to a dilapidated permanent structure. There are many long term seasonal renters and owners here. We received a useful information packet when we checked in. The staff and our neighbors were helpful and friendly, but we would not stay here again, even though the location is close to Fort Myers and the beaches. This park was disgusting. It rained, storm drains were clogged and for three days we were walking through ankle deep, stinky, polluted water to get to our unit.

It was expensive, roads narrow, sights too tight. Our awning almost touched the neighbor and Wifi was an extra fee.

You have to buy a card to use laundry and there is $3 fee for purchasing the card and you can only add in $10 increments, so three loads of laundry cost $20. Additionally six of the dryers were out of order due to lack of electrical capacity.

If this is representative of an "Encore Resort" we will never stay in another or recommend them to friends. We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

My husband and I chose this park for its location. We have been here 3 years returning. It has a great pool along with location. That is all. When it rains, which it has done a lot of, this place looks like a lake and turns into a huge mud hole. The laundry room is completely insufficient, with poor wiring, and half the machines have not worked in 2 weeks. Take a pass on this place. Doubt it will be here next year. Corporate must use this place as a tax write off. I have prepaid for a month stay, and I want out of here! No picnic tables, anywhere. We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

One word describes this "Resort", TIGHT! Interior roads are the width of the mirrors on a motorhome and corners are sharp. Sites are mostly back-to-back so utility hookups are difficult with slides extended. Patio space, on grass, is tight but since sites are angled there is some separation between sites. The angled site eases entry, but exiting means either backing out or making a more than ninety degree turn into the narrow road. The turn is sometimes made more difficult by the power pedestals located next to the road. Big rig motorhomes are difficult, big rig 5th wheels are harder.

This park is reasonably close to the city of Fort Myers and Gulf beaches and there is transportation to the beach nearby. Campers were friendly and staff was helpful when asked. Electric power and water was adequate. There is an extensive list of cable channels, but signal is weak resulting in grainy picture. We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I stayed one week and was worried the whole time that someone would park across from my site and block my exit plan. It is ridiculously tight. The roads are 10 foot wide at best, there are power posts near the road that block your turns and some intersections are nearly impossible. I would never go near this mess again. It would be nice if they mowed the lawn and maybe fix the broken cement pads. I did read through some of the rules and wonder how they can even hand out stuff like this as there are absolutely filthy rigs that have not been maintained in years. They should just continue to stuff this place full of park models and give up as an RV park. The lady at the office was nice but it won't bring me back. There is poor customer service here. Stay away. The pool shuts down, early the bathrooms are outdated, and there is mouse poop in the women's bathroom that has been there during my whole stay there. The site's power are a 30/50 amp but none of them work correctly. The sites are small, and there are very narrow roads. They do not have any music playing at the pool. The activity hall is locked and residents and guest do not have access to it. They neglect to give you the codes to the bathroom. They require a color band to access the pool area but again neglect to give you a band. Which in theory you are not able to be in the pool area. They say they offer Wi-Fi; it never works and they encourage you to buy TengoInternet. I watched the so called manager raise his voice to residents. If you have mail go here, good luck. There is always someone else's mail in your mailbox, which questions am I getting all of my mail? Cable is also included but at many sites the cable boxes are not working, so cable wires run across the roads on the pavement. On a good note the laundry room was good. Terrible place to stay. Then they over charge you for your electricity. We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Some sites are good and others are crappy. We got a crappy one. The trailer next to us looked abandoned. A real eyesore (B-14). The picnic table at our site was broken. Another one was brought to us upon our request, but the broken one remained. The lot was dirt/gravel, mostly dirt. Rigs are packed in like sardines. The only good thing I can say is that the park is close to the causeway to Sanibel and to many restaurants, grocery stores, and other shopping areas. We arrived after hours and did not receive a welcome packet with any park information. Had to knock on our neighbors door to find out how to access Wi-Fi and find out where the laundry was. Not impressed with this place in the least. We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Some may find this "resort" to their liking, but we found it constraining and with "tight" spacing between units. Sites were grass. Add to this that many of the large Class A rigs were in their sites "backwards," leading to a lack of privacy in many sites. Someone else mentioned the laundry; suffice it to say that an advanced degree would be helpful to figure out the "system" they have to pay for the laundry. We decided to take our laundry with us rather than tackle their system. Our site, and plenty of others, had no concrete pad beside our door, just some shell stone like material. For the price we expected much more than this, but at the time we reserved, nothing else was available. This part of Florida is just mobbed this time of year with impatient and inconsiderate drivers everywhere, plus long stop and go lines to get to the barrier islands, even on weekdays. During our stay a caravan of very large Class A's arrived to stay. We watched one wipe out a neighbor's palm tree trying to turn into a site. These rigs seemed too large to fit into the allotted spaces in the park, plus they were often in backwards. On a possible future visit, we'd likely try somewhere else instead of this place; especially, given the price of admission. Anyone who does stay should try out Marko's Diner for a great breakfast. It is next door to the campground We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We were trying to enjoy Fort Meyers and the Fort Meyers RV Resort did not disappoint. They were very accommodating and friendly. They put us in a very spacious site with a grass front area and clear view of the sky to receive our Direct TV signal. They have a great pool and hot tub as well as a workout room. WiFi is available at the activity center for free, although the park uses a paid service. They are very pet friendly and have many year round residents we found very friendly as well. They are part of Encore parks with their sister park is slightly closer to the beach but you can park there and take the shuttle into the beach if you prefer. We found no problem driving across the bridge into Fort Meyers Beach and there was always plenty of parking. (Park next to the Yucatan restaurant for $6 a day). We would gladly stay there again. Here's an RV park with a great location (near the beach, restaurants, shopping, entertainment). The rates are very reasonable, given the fine location. Such potential, yet sadly, this RV park doesn't come close to being all it can be. The roads in the park are narrow, turns are tight, and spaces are narrow. Yet, there are no employees that will guide you to your space! The park is managed by a young lad with a "can't do" attitude. He can be rather nasty. If I were in the service industry and treated customers the way I was treated by the manager, I'd be fired on the spot! Shame on Encore for tolerating this style of customer relations! The washers and dryers only take "smart cards"; no cash. You need to get a smart card from the office. If you check in after the office has closed for the day (an early 4 p.m. in season) and you want to do laundry, you're out of luck! Loading money into the card (from your credit card) is a cumbersome process, and can only be done in monetary increments that ensure after you do your laundry there will be money left over on the card, and you can't get it refunded. If you have a problem loading money into the card during the weekend, you're out of luck again. Customer service for the washer/dryer smart card system is only available Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Water in two of the showers in the Ladies room doesn't drain. Yuck! A couple of people told me this problem was reported months ago! There is no onsite convenience store. If you need some common supplies, you have to go shopping offsite. The pool closes at dusk. (In the winter, that's 6 p.m. in Fort Myers.) It would have been nice to be able to take a dip until 9 p.m. as we can do at many other RV parks.) The pool and spa are nice, but the spa water temperature was way below normal...Brrr! WiFi only reaches the activity room, exercise room and the pool at the very front of the park, and the speed is very slow. Cable TV is provided to each site at no additional cost. It's an old system (no HD), but on the plus side, a cable box is not required. Trash is picked up from each site daily, and the park is kept clean. All in all, it's hard for this old-style RV park to justify using the word "resort" in its name. Unless all other RV parks in the area are full, you'd be wise to pass on the Fort Myers Beach RV Resort and stay somewhere else. We camped at Fort Myers Beach RV Resort in a Motorhome.
