45 RV Parks near Frostproof, Florida
Feb 2019 - $1.00
Arrived at 3 PM. There is a "lottery" here at 1 PM every day (for full hook-ups) . If that is what you want, your name goes on a list. Our name was put on the list for full-hook ups, probably # 10. Parked in a w/e only, overnight, as no F/H available. Drove the park with list (given out daily after 12 noon) If there is a site open and you like, park in it and notify office. Next day, after some leave park, another list is given. Pick an empty spot, and wait for lottery at 1:00. As they call out names, when yours is called, pick a site you like (that has not been taken by a name on the list that is prior to yours). Move in. Really first come, first in. Little long wording, but be prepared. 460 sites, the bulk are W/E only. All are back in, with (usually) room for auto. Most F/H have fire ring, table and cement patio. Here during President Week, lot of kiddies. Area A on slope, so many kids on bikes cruising down road. Mostly shade, w/some full sun sites. W/D, pool, hot tub, shuffle board, pickle court, musicians on occasion, ice-cream socials ($1/bowl). Many activities. Boat ramp on the Peace River. Entered river at County Park up river, 2 hour kayak trip to Camp. Nice scenery, saw many crocks sunning on the sides. Saw many folks panning in the river for artifacts. Mostly found small sharks teeth. Office has other item found in river. Must go to Arcadia to the meat market!! - Long Island Mac
Apr 2018 - $1.00
Spent 14 nites, camped with 2 other campers that we travel with. Upon arriving, were told to drive around and select sites from list provided. At 1 PM, meet at office. 1st come to camp, 1st on list to select a site. Luckily, no one before us wanted the three sites we wanted. The three were close to each other. (never had this system before) Nice pool, and many activities. - Long Island Mac
Apr 2018 - $1.00
This was our first time at this park, which is one given to Leisure Time members to replace one that was closed in the Pacific Northwest (we assume). Like others in the TT system, it's first-come, first-served. At check-in we were given a list of 50-amp sites that were vacant, and the young lady gave us some pointers about where to look first given our size. We rode our bicycles in to look first (probably shouldn't have done that, but we don't like surprises), picked our spot and figured out the route to take, and got parked with minimum effort. It seems there is a 50-amp lottery when the park is full in the winter months, but we arrived at the end of that season and there were 74 available to choose from. The bathrooms were clean, with individual showers with real doors. As usual, the mess comes from other campers not cleaning up after themselves. The pool looked nice, the hot tub seemed ok, we didn't use either. There were activities for the youngsters like coloring eggs, and there was an Easter potluck with the park providing ham. We didn't attend, but it seemed like there was plenty to do if you wanted to. Easy access to the river, but they don't rent kayaks or canoes so find another option or bring your own. - Denise and Glenn
Jan 2017 - $20.00
The park is spacious and well kept. There are activities daily. The pool is kept quite warm and is clean. Sites are a nice size and are clean and maintained. Location is very central, but all major attractions are an hour away. Great park. - From Here to There
May 2015 - $22.00
Our rate is based on a monthly stay. We were in the area checking out wintering locations. This park is tops in the area. Pool is excellent size and the whole place is paved except the actual lot you park on is gravel. There is a paved patio and driveway to each site though. Mangers were very nice and accommodating. They have a pot luck monthly that the campground supplies Hamburgers and Hotdogs for. Laundry room is the largest we have seen. 10 Miles either direction you are in a major area with lots of stores and restaurants. Campground is 50% full time residents but there sites are beautiful and kept up. They also made us feel right at home and were not standoffish at all. We will definitely be returning as we made winter reservation for next year. - Lifetraveler
Jul 2012 - $60.00
I stayed here for a week while visiting family in the area. All of the facilities were neat & clean and were obviously well-maintained. The pool was a refreshing retreat for some exercising and cooling off after a long, hot day. My space was large and level, with a clean concrete patio and full hook-ups (50-amp). There was plenty of space between my site and my neighbor. Everyone I met was friendly and happy. I had such a nice time here that I am considering spending a few months here this winter. I recommend this park. - bcbounders
Jan 2017 - $16.00
This is a very nice park, very secluded, large lake, very well maintained. Campground manager is great. Great place to go and get away. - wwbpi
Mar 2018 - $32.00
The restrooms and clubhouse are kept clean. The pool is nice, but the area surrounding the pool and the clubhouse are being neglected, as is the grass on the RV sites. There are lots of activities for snowbirds. Residents are friendly, but clique-ish. There are a couple of restaurants and a Save-a-Lot in Frostproof, but you have to drive about 12 miles to find more businesses. - Midwest Fiver
Dec 2017 - $40.00
Have visited this park many times and it has gone down considerably. Although there are large sites the rest of the park needs attention. Large sites aren't going to keep guests when the rest is neglected. The wifi is horrible and not everyone can get their own in this remote area. The pool is being kept too cool ( 82 ) for most seniors while pools in parks closeby are 84-86. Despite many complaints the manager refuses to warm the pool to past seasons temps. Hot tubs are often not working and entire pool area isn't cleaned to the standard it once was. If a pool is important for your stay, go elsewhere. Pool furniture is always in disarray and stones around are dirty with weeds growing through. No longer an option to 6/6 requiring one to pay monthly and be an annual, even when you're not here. rates have become too high for the declining amenities. - ginger53
Nov 2017 - $27.00
We booked the winter here. I would rate this park a 9 or 10 if they had cable TV and decent internet. We don't have pets, so no comments there.
We booked this park for the winter when we were told we could get internet service from Frontier Communications. When we arrived, we called Frontier, spent an hour on the phone with them; and were willing to jump through all their hoops: which included having paperwork signed by a notary to prove we are who we say we are. We offered to pay for the services up front: and they wouldn't allow that either. Then they told us they were "capped" at the park and couldn't even offer the service.
We are VERY disappointed as we wouldn't have come here, had we known that good reliable internet wasn't available. We are currently using their wi-fi, which is passable - but works when it wants to - and this is only November. I am sure by January, we won't be able to get on at all. Even our U.S. hotspot is working sporadically here.
Other than that, the park is clean and pretty and well laid out with lots of activities. Make sure you bring a 'step-down' if you have 30amp service in your rig.
So if internet isn't important to you (or you have your own U.S. cell service/data plan), it is probably a wonderful place to spend the winter. - Kemptvillekids
Dec 2012 - $23.00
We stayed here for one month in a full hook-up site. We paid $525, which included 50 amp service and 30 days worth of Wi-Fi. The site we had (R-28) was a wide, corner site having some palm trees. It took some maneuvering to get our 40+' fifth wheel in, but, we managed. This park is 90% manufactured homes and/or trailers converted into homes (i.e. carports; sheds; residential AC units; etc). Some lots are kept up better than others. The transient sites are scattered throughout the park; the bulk of them being in front near the entrance. They have two pools (one which was heated to 80+ degrees). The laundry facilities were dated; but, adequate. The interior roads are level and paved (everyone uses golf carts to get around). We encountered many friendly people (most of whom were over 60). Would stay here again. - Shin
Jan 2019 - $24.00

Feb 2016 - $37.00
Very clean and quiet. People are friendly. Lots of planned activities, shuffleboard, pickle ball, pool, horseshoes. Hookups are in a good location. Don't let the number of park models dissuade you. Roads are all paved as are most of the sites. Some of the are not double concrete and the unit is parked on the grass with a nice concrete patio/driveway. The sites are some of the most spacious we've seen. Will return in a heartbeat. - User3025
Jan 2016 - $38.00
One of the cleanest parks I have been too everyone was friendly and made us feel at home and part of the family, will definitely come back if in this area. - jamie1
Jan 2012 - $13.00
Rate reflects a 3 month commitment. This was our first time staying and we spent the winter (Jan-Mar). This is a 'community' park in the sense that everybody is family. Sites are spacious, activities are age appropriate, new-comers are welcome--we didn't want to leave when the time came and we've already reserved our space for Jan - Apr 2013. - Lonnie Clark
Sep 2010 - $29.00
It is one of the parks with the cleanest restrooms and showers we've been in. We're full-timers for 5 years now. This is the 2nd time we've stayed here. Highly recommend it. - Marybeth5613
Aug 2010 - $28.00
Good value for the money. The restroom, shower and laundry room are five star. Good location and a nice pool. Would stay here again. - DanMain
Dec 2017 - $15.00
Comfortable, centrally located, friendly people, and good spaces for dogs! We spent a month at Lake Wales (Dec. 2017-$440/month + electric) after doing plenty of research for places to stay near Tampa. This park is centrally located between Tampa/Orlando and is one of the most affordable. Don't let the price fool you though, this is a great place to stay. The owners are wonderful, and the people are very friendly and welcoming. There is plenty of space for your pet(s) too. The facilities are perfectly adequate--FHU sites, laundry room, indoor pool, shuffleboard room, dog walking areas, rec. hall with social activities, mail delivery--the local wildlife is abundant, and we would definitely stay here again. Lake Wales has plenty of restaurants and supply stores, but Winter Haven and Lakeland are only a short drive with even more options. - Unknown_Normal
Mar 2017 - $38.00
My wife and I came to stay for one week but stayed for a month, plus made reservation for next year for 4 months. The rest rooms were very clean and well supplied, the laundry room was clean and prices very good. My wife used the pool daily doing aqua aerobics with a group of people which helped her exercise her knee after an operation. The indoor pool was heated to a nice temperature, clean and nice to use. Many events going on while we were staying and made to feel very welcome. The owners run and operate the campground. They were so helpful and nice to deal with. Looking forward to our visit this season. - damonred
Feb 2017 - $38.00
Excellent park. Owners treat you like family. Small park which I like more personal service and you get to know everyone. Very friendly. - Caref
