Fairly large park. Close to area attractions. Reserved online. There were a lot of pull-throughs and some back in sites that weren't occupied. Sites were full hookup. A few sites were held by long term occupants and looked a little rough but in general it was a nice looking park. Very few shade trees. Small modular houses were just outside the park fence on several sides. Our site had a concrete pad but concrete was broken and badly cracked. Hookups showed their age but functioned well. - Underlog

We went to the pool here. Restrooms needed updating. The showers were small and need to be cleaned badly. Spots were good sized. There was a small playground the kids and I went too. - TravelinFam

Very large Campground w/845 sites. Here for 14 days as Thousand Trails member (membership works for us as we camp 6-7 months a year, but doubt for weekend campers). Some pull-thru, most back-in. Our site had cement slab for MH, grass w/picnic table. No fire ring, but many campers bring their own. Full hook-ups and basic tent sites. Boat launch on Lake Hancock (area D) and fishing from dock area. Nightly crowd there to watch fire-works from Disney. No swimming there as gators may be there also. During busy season, newcomers (with/without reservations) line up at noon at entrance. Before then, new campers are turned away, to come back at noon. We arrived at 3PM, went right to parking lot where you are met with golf cart person, and guided to a site. We were told by friends inside to ask for one of three sites that were open. We took one that was close to them. We use a Verizon MiFi. Reception was slooooow. Used phone hotspot and was somewhat better. Did not use the bath or w/d which was close. Usual camp store with food and camping gear. Fresh vegetable stand daily. Located on Route 27. Just south is Route 193 that takes you to Disney (World, Springs, Celebration and all else.) If you look for a restaurant or a gift store, they are along the route. Not sure if these gift stores are less costly than if in Disney. Retired military (DOD/VA disability, and a few more) go to "Shades of Green", ARMY owned hotel. There you can buy discounted tickets to any of the attractions. You can also stay there. Believe they charge by rank!! - Long Island Mac

The staff were very accommodating. Thousand Trails is a first come first served camping club. We were fortunate to get a site on the edge by woods. The park was very crowded. It is close to Disney, but everything was still a half-hour drive or more due to traffic. Laundry facilities are good but pricey $3 for wash and $3 for dry. It is a huge facility and kept nice and neat. I saw lots of birds including Sand Hill cranes. It was easy to navigate and the roads were wide enough to comfortably get around. - WeGo2See

We are full time RVers. We are Elite Thousand Trails members and stay within the TT system 90% of the time. Our opinion my differ from most because we look at these resorts as "home" and not a vacation location. We look for cleanliness, efficiency and location. Orlando has it all! Nice sites everywhere. Paved roads, clean toilets and showers, wonderful staff, friendly neighbors, resident turtles and flamingos, great recreation area, easy delivery of packages, steady 50 amp power, good sewer system and Disney World fireworks! Our only item we wished they had more of is a playground suitable for younger children. Other than that, we love this place. - naknak

Big RV park with golf course. We came for a rally and they were pretty full. Our site was on grass and had to back in. It had no picnic table and everybody was pretty tight. If you
have a big rig like we do do not recommend. Very few pull through sites and lots of small homes to rent. Internet was OK. Good cable for TV. - Teritwo
Feb 2019 - $47.00
Overall experience was fine. All the sites in our section were grass. No concrete except the picnic table pad. For the most part it is extremely flat and easy to level. Recommend bringing some leveling boards or pads for your jacks. - DMcKitt
Jan 2019 - $56.00
Nicely kept Resort-style campground although the dumpsters were overflowing when we arrived they were cleaned & emptied a day later. Perimeter and some interior roads were narrow but paved while many interior roads were grass. Very open so little visual privacy. Many recreational opportunities with plenty of use by the friendly snowbirds we met. Definitely would stay again whenever we visit the Lakeland area. - Appleknocker

Dec 2017 - $23.00
In a word; noisy. Planned to stay 4 nights but left after 3. I-4 traffic 24x7, Old Combee Rd traffic, "loud pipes save lives" from one resident and annoyingly loud music from another resident who drove by. I-4 noise was so bad we didn't open the windows and used the air con instead. Saw a few people sitting outside their coaches. They looked like long termers and are probably used to the road noise. Water pressure claimed to be 90 PSI and we were warned to use a regulator. Water was out park-wide (park mx) when we got to our site, then came back on, then back off, then back on. This was within about the first 2 hrs we were there. Weren't told about the outage at check-in. Sewer pipe was below grade, so I couldn't screw my connection into the pipe. At least it didn't come out when I dumped. No cable for short stays. Long stays can order service from the local cable company. Decent number of OTA channels. Park wi-fi bumped me off 3x in 30 min at the lobby (one of the places recommended to connect). I paid for the park's Tengo and ended up wasting my money on that ridiculously slow and weak service. Tree branches are nicely trimmed away from the road. Interior roads are easy to drive, despite a few residents using part of the road as their driveway. From the registration lot, big rigs have to take a loop around to the right instead of making a too tight left. We were escorted to our site. Good spacing between sites. No dog run so folks walked their dogs on the streets. Looked like everyone was picking up after their dog. Several residents waved as we drove in and out, so it seems to be a friendly place, just way to loud for us. Next time we plan to be in the area, I will research other options. Won't stay here again, even with the PA rate. - TH travelers
Apr 2016 - $26.00
We spent a month here so we observed a lot. Easy in and out. Roads are paved. Excellent office staff. Very nice, newly redone facilities. Most sites are level but grass or dirt (or mud if rains). Most sites are pretty long. Very high percent of sites have live oak trees for shade but in spring were VERY messy. We had a lot of rain and some sites were very muddy. Some sites have patio slabs which would help with mud. Road noise from I-4 ranges from very bad to just annoying depending on how far away you are (and how good your hearing is I suppose). - cwier
May 2015 - $20.00
The front desk employees were super nice, had everything ready for us when we got there. The escort to our site was very helpful. The permanent homes were very well kept. The pool and deck were clean and nice size. Although it is close to a main road it was not noisey. The bathrooms were very clean..do need updates on some of the showers. If in that area again we will stay here. We stayed in a pull through site. - T-Ster

Unlike most people we came here for a stay and didn't leave. The best thing to happen to Tiki Village was the new Management.Just to let everyone know the park isn't going anyplace. Some of the campworkers could be more friendly, but there are enough super friendly workers to make up for them. The park offers something for everyone, even your pets. The new manager Connie, a pet lover, has added a pet park. Now our 4 legged family member have a area where they can run and play. The park offer lots of activities to keep your stay buzzing. What other park can say they have a women cave (better known as the craft shed). I would be very sure to say you would be booking your spot for next year's stay, that is if you leave. Stop by and check Tiki Village out, it is well worth your time. - regene39

Jan 2007 - $30.00
We parked here most of 2004 and all of 2005 and have friends there now (2008). It's a small park, with several mobile homes and some 'permanent' RVs. It's not an over night place. Rate is $325 plus metered electricity for the first 6 months. Nice yards, cement patios. Located next to a large mobile home retirement community in a pretty quiet area. - Working Full timer

Bay Lake Motorcoach Resort is a gated Class A ownership resort with several sites set aside by the management as strictly rental spaces. All rental sites (50-amp, water, sewer, weekly garbage collection by the city) have a very large pad made up of pavers and are nicely spaced from neighbors with grass and plantings between sites. Paved roads within the resort are wide and easily navigable for the largest of coaches, with no overhanging trees or other obstructions. Located at the registration building is a huge community room, game room, fitness center, theater room, laundry, kitchen, pool, and spa. (Registration takes place within the management's office, as there is not the typical registration desk set-up found at other resorts.) The resort is easily accessed from Exit 44 on I-4, and is off the frontage road; freeway noise is somewhat noticeable when outside, but not when inside your coach. The resort is located on Lake Mattie and has a private boat launch to the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this tranquil resort (residents and guests are very quiet) and will definitely stay here again. Everyone we met was beyond friendly and made a point of meeting us and inviting us to activities happening at the resort. We used Bay Lake as our home base for many visits to DisneyWorld and the numerous attractions of the Orlando area. A wonderful, paved, bike trail (VanFleet Trail) is just a short distance away in Polk City. - HRTravelers
Mar 2018 - $73.00
We stayed one week. Paid $508.25 ($72.61/night). The telephone reservation process was especially friendly and helpful. We called last minute and were grateful to be given the last site available. Our GPS got a little confused. Turn left by Love's gas station, drive behind and past it. A sign says "dead end" but you want to continue driving. The road will end at the resort entrance. It is very easy on/off the freeway. Check-in was easy, efficient and welcoming. We were escorted to our site. Our site (#262) has a casita but we did not rent/pay for the casita. Our pad was very (very, very) large, level and clean with pavers and lovely landscaping. Due to individual ownership, sites vary quite a bit. Some have nifty hardscape such as tiki huts. Upon arrival, it wasn't immediately clear where to park and check-in probably because it's an "owners" resort as opposed to an "RV Park". Drive forward and park inside the first circle you come to. The clubhouse will be obvious due to its large size. It's not a busy place and there is lots of space so you needn't worry about blocking the road. We were fairly close to the freeway and noticed some noise but not bad. For example, we were able to sit outside and watch tv without issue. We had a problem with the power. The staff sent a repair person who fixed it promptly. All other hook-ups worked perfectly. Good water pressure. Verizon cell, MiFi and DirecTV worked well. Mosquitoes at dusk are absolutely terrible. It seems they could spray for this. Single stream recycling for plastic, paper, cardboard, glass, aluminum and tin. Neighbors are mostly owners and are super friendly. It's no wonder why folks enjoy this park. It's a pleasant place to be. The location is a bit quirky. On the one hand the location is convenient being in between Tampa and Orlando but, the conveniences aren't close by. The nearest grocery store is about 10 miles away. We enjoyed our time here and would be happy to stay again. - GottaGoNow
Feb 2017 - $70.00
Beautiful high-end Class A gated resort right off I-4. Conveniently located between Orlando, Lakeland & Tampa. Many sites are owned, many for sale, many undeveloped. Some owner sites are available for rental. Owner sites are very private, beautifully landscaped, some with tiki huts & casitas! Top notch new facilities & friendly people! This was our 2nd visit! - Sassy-1947
