First of all, this not a bad place, just a bit noisy and crowded. We are full time RVers and Elite members of Thousand Trails Trails Collection. My wife actually likes it here because of it's proximity to the shopping. However, I do not like helicopters roaring over head all hours of the day and even the middle of the night. Emergency service sirens, roaring car engines on Route 192 (Irlo Bronson Highway) Nah, I like to relax and I will drive the 20 minutes or so to go shopping. The interior roads are in good condition. The pool area is also in great shape. I never went to the gym or clubhouse so I have no opinion on those. Resident annual renters are the usual arrogant "could care less" about us nomadic travelers attitudes is becoming an expected norm. My next door neighbor in a dilapidated trailer/bungalow #253 let her semi wild cats run wild, sleeping on our chairs and picnic table and pooing all around our RV at night and it stunk to high heavens during the hot days. Our Site was #254 so avoid it if possible. The showers were, very small. I am a large guy but far from the largest. I had difficulty changing in this tiny shower stall area. The bathrooms appear to be cleaned on a normal basis. The laundry uses tokens and have machines to dispense them. The washers were in good shape as well as the dryers. This place is not the top of my priorities for visiting again however, if it is the only place available, I do not find it that horrible that I would not return again. The staff here was wonderful and friendly. I would have easily given this an 8 if the bathrooms were more accommodating. - naknak

The best thing about this park is proximity to Disney and other entertainment venues. We paid for what is called an "elite" site and assume that is what we were assigned. The site was too short for our 40' motorhome and towed vehicle, no picnic table (there were large groups perhaps table moved), neighbors too close and overflow parking on already too narrow streets. WiFi was free in poolhouse other there was a fee through Spectrum. This place would qualify as a mediocre rv park but not a resort. - Never Lost-New Adventure
Oct 2018 - $80.00
We were told the only way to guarantee to get a pull thu was to reserve an Elite space, which we did A couple months ahead of our arrival. It was a very tight space making it tough to pull through I had to back up several times to get my RV straight. Let alone the concrete was very unlevel. They had done some construction on both sides of our concrete slab leaving the dirt un-raked and very uneven. In fact my wife and I both twisted our ankles a couple of times walking on it to get to our truck. Our site also had a 4 foot dead tree trunk on it no picnic table and no even area to put our steps down. I went to the office to complain about our location and was just told that they were sorry and they would let the management know. I was offered no discount from the Elite price we paid $345 for four nights. This is an Encore property and they should do better than that. We could’ve stated many RV parks in this was by far the worst property for the money we paid. Maybe because they sent me an email a week ago wanting me to pay in full for a week ahead of time is why they gave me this lousy site. Fortunately we spent many hours at the Disney parks so we didn’t have to sit here and look at this dump. Will never stay here again. - Licari

Unbelievable tough driving into spot As this was the only park near disney with a week stay possible this was the one Close to neighbors and the road is front is narrower than my coach That means that everyone I'd stacked on top of each other They have a nice open area for large coaches but this has no sewer And can not be used for stay - vern bauch

Stayed here for 3 days during the winter season in Fl. Bad mistake. When making reservations told them we needed a pull through: When we arrived, it was a back-in. We are a 40ft RV with tow car. Without a lot of "jockeying" room, sites are very difficult to get into even with the dolly unhitched. From the entry, the facility looks really nice: That is only in the front couple of rows. Our spot was in the larger back area which was unkempt, and full of what appeared to be yearly or seasonal workers area. Across from us was what appeared to be a souvenir store for Disney; one in the back had the sparkle type lights going all night and the other lit up with Disney lights. Not the ambience we want for camping in a tent, 5th, tag-along or RV. It was a large site width-wise but not enough to keep dolly attached. We had to move our tow vehicle one morning so a neighbor across the street could get out of his spot. . There was no guide for reaching the site and erroneous directions given by the camp personnel. With small winding, poorly maintained roads, it was difficult to maneuver through. Sites in back were grass and poorly leveled. Wi-Fi was fine as was 50 amp service. No garbage pick-up but we were within a short walk to the community dump. Due to the cost of this campground, I give it a terrible rating! I'm a native Floridan and know what the Orlando season is like, but I considered this price-gouging. For possibly $40/night, maybe. - docsheila

Fairly large park. Close to area attractions. Reserved online. There were a lot of pull-throughs and some back in sites that weren't occupied. Sites were full hookup. A few sites were held by long term occupants and looked a little rough but in general it was a nice looking park. Very few shade trees. Small modular houses were just outside the park fence on several sides. Our site had a concrete pad but concrete was broken and badly cracked. Hookups showed their age but functioned well. - Underlog

Very large Campground w/845 sites. Here for 14 days as Thousand Trails member (membership works for us as we camp 6-7 months a year, but doubt for weekend campers). Some pull-thru, most back-in. Our site had cement slab for MH, grass w/picnic table. No fire ring, but many campers bring their own. Full hook-ups and basic tent sites. Boat launch on Lake Hancock (area D) and fishing from dock area. Nightly crowd there to watch fire-works from Disney. No swimming there as gators may be there also. During busy season, newcomers (with/without reservations) line up at noon at entrance. Before then, new campers are turned away, to come back at noon. We arrived at 3PM, went right to parking lot where you are met with golf cart person, and guided to a site. We were told by friends inside to ask for one of three sites that were open. We took one that was close to them. We use a Verizon MiFi. Reception was slooooow. Used phone hotspot and was somewhat better. Did not use the bath or w/d which was close. Usual camp store with food and camping gear. Fresh vegetable stand daily. Located on Route 27. Just south is Route 193 that takes you to Disney (World, Springs, Celebration and all else.) If you look for a restaurant or a gift store, they are along the route. Not sure if these gift stores are less costly than if in Disney. Retired military (DOD/VA disability, and a few more) go to "Shades of Green", ARMY owned hotel. There you can buy discounted tickets to any of the attractions. You can also stay there. Believe they charge by rank!! - Long Island Mac
Jan 2019 - $1.00
The staff were very accommodating. Thousand Trails is a first come first served camping club. We were fortunate to get a site on the edge by woods. The park was very crowded. It is close to Disney, but everything was still a half-hour drive or more due to traffic. Laundry facilities are good but pricey $3 for wash and $3 for dry. It is a huge facility and kept nice and neat. I saw lots of birds including Sand Hill cranes. It was easy to navigate and the roads were wide enough to comfortably get around. - WeGo2See

We are full time RVers. We are Elite Thousand Trails members and stay within the TT system 90% of the time. Our opinion my differ from most because we look at these resorts as "home" and not a vacation location. We look for cleanliness, efficiency and location. Orlando has it all! Nice sites everywhere. Paved roads, clean toilets and showers, wonderful staff, friendly neighbors, resident turtles and flamingos, great recreation area, easy delivery of packages, steady 50 amp power, good sewer system and Disney World fireworks! Our only item we wished they had more of is a playground suitable for younger children. Other than that, we love this place. - naknak

Apr 2018 - $19.00
A nice inexpensive place to stay in Orlando. This is a large city park that also has a campground. There are 36 sites, all back-in. 14 have full hook-up, the others just water and electric. Dump station on the way out. If you want a full hook-up site make reservations early. Pretty nice bathrooms, seem to be cleaned every day. Most pads are cement and some are very sloped front to back. Our 5th wheel front jacks were out as far as they would go, plus I had about 6" of wood under them. Turns are tight but there were a couple long class As in here. Nice disc golf course, 2 1/2 mile long blacktop bike path, very large swimming pool, picnic pavilions, fishing, and even a drone zone. All these are open to the public. Some minor highway noise from the nearby Florida Turnpike. Verizon and AT&T signal 1 to 2 bars in campground. Nice laundry with 4 washers and dryers. - Wills on Wheels

It was our first ever camping trip! We enjoy our stay there. We learn a lot on this first trip. The staff and people at the campground was very helpful. It was clean and quiet. We stayed for a week. They have a pool, laundry room, bathhouse and bathrooms available that are super clean. This is not a big resort with a bunch of amenities. This is a family oriented campground. Lots of people live here. - Maria S
Jul 2016 - $35.00
We didn't bother to set up at this location. We would only stay here again as a last resort. It's more of a permanent site ground. It was clean, the pull though site was level and travel to Orlando was convenient. If a true campground were to have availability we'd have stayed elsewhere. - Slo Mo
Oct 2015 - $16.00
We stayed here for one week in our motorhome, the price reflects Passport America discount. The sites are quite large and many are shaded under large trees. It was pretty quiet, people adhering to the quiet times. The WiFi was strong and pretty fast...and free, it's hard to beat that. The office has many standard items for sale, but I stayed out of there after our initial check in due to the smell of cigarette smoke. We were shown which sites were open and sent out to choose our own place to land and then report back. Our site had two concrete strips to park on and a small concrete pad, but no shade as we wanted the better satellite signal. Most sites appeared to be on the grass. - Da Keeffes

For 50+ for the rate, I was hoping it was going to be a very good experience, but it was not. It took close to an hour with some help to manuver into a tight, grass lot. There were concrete pads, we didn't get one. It was also very unlevel, such that we could not compensate with blocks or stablizers. The ping pong table has one broken ball and one like wood. If you want to use a pool table, it must be before 5pm, they will not let you play if the office is closed. The foosball table has scolley balls. This seems picky, but all this together makes for a not so pleasant experience, certainly not 50+ for a day. Doubt that we will come back.
Ask for a good lot, not grass. If you want to play pool, expect to play before 5pm, bring your own ping pong equipment - country rover

I've found KOA's in general as at least, consistent in what they provide. That said, I will not visit this KOA again. We made reservations for our site months in advance. Upon arrival, they have an employee escort you to your site and assist you in parking. Our site was too short for our motorhome (40 foot). The employee kept wanting me to back up and I could see in my rear-view camera that the rear of my coach was about to hit a large stand of bamboo right behind the rig. I stopped and he came to the drivers window and said "you need to backup about 3 feet, you're not sitting on the pad.". I told him "I'm about to hit the bamboo and I'm not going back any farther." He said "you aren't going to hurt the bamboo, you've got to move back farther." I said "I'm not moving another inch as that will damage my paint." After a bit of arguing I shut it down. I walked around back and was 4 inches away from a 1" piece of cut-off bamboo punching a hole in my rear cap. I showed him the issue and he said they'd send a crew over to trim back the bamboo so I could backup properly. They never sent anyone. My second issue is that this KOA has employees running around everywhere. There's always someone on a golf cart riding around, prowling around your campsite weed-eating or who knows what. The sites are already very close together so privacy of any kind is non-existent. Prior to leaving at the end of our stay, I checked things on the motorhome to make sure it was road-ready and found my antifreeze a bit low. I topped that off and started the engine to bring it to temp to recheck. It had maybe been running 3 minutes when I see a KOA employee scoot under my awning. I went outside to see if he needed help and was sternly told I wasn't allowed to run my generator in the campground. I wasn't running the generator, it was the engine and I told him in a few minutes I would be finished. We won't be back. - sixtires58

KOA 10% discount for two nights at a supersize site The site was a long gravel and concrete pull-through site with FHU and 50 amps. There was a good sized concrete patio adjacent to the pad with a patio table, four chairs and two person glider. We had good Verizon cell and internet reception. We had good DishTV satellite reception. The park's WiFi was a little slow. The parks interior roads are narrow, but easily navigated. The park was quiet both day and night. We would stay here again. - Dave51

Close to office spot yet wifi terrible all week. They say it's a hotspot when you ask, yet the advertisement says wifi. They shouldn't say they have it if they don't. Its part of the planning of where you want to stay. (Admin note: park website amenities show "wifi access") - Sondkr

Showers/bathrooms that we were near had only one stall. So one shower at a time. They are not air conditioned and there was no airflow so, you sweat in the shower. The men's restroom had their one toilet overflowing with paper and completely stopped up, so we had to call a number for service, which was taken care of after a while. The women's side was right next to the door of the clubhouse, so we had a man sitting on a bench, smoking right next to the door of the bathroom, blowing smoke in with us the entire time we were in there. We felt a bit unsecure about it all, so one of us stood guard while the other showered. Our site was by itself, but other sites appeared to be extremely close together. There appear to be many permanent residents housed in small trailer houses or rv's here. We took the kids to use the pool and residents were smoking and drinking by the pool and playing some atrocious country rap music that was laced with foul language, and DID NOT care that my little girls were present to hear it. We arrived around 3 or 4 on a Saturday, no one was ever present in the office. It was closed on the next day, and as we couldn't remember if we'd given them a credit card number to pay with or not, we tried to contact them via the number on the office door but only got an answering service. We did make contact the next day via phone (after we checked out.) The price is good here, but I feel it's much more inclined towards permanent or long term residents. I doubt we will stay here again. - girlfriday007

Description of RV park on website is overly-exaggerated. Park does have a security gate - being that it does have a lot of permanent residents. It has about 30 sites that are reserved for temporary visitors. You have to check in at the convenience store located on the campground. Staff is friendly. Store is somewhat rundown. Our site was grassy, and after the rains got very muddy. Cable did not work. The cap on the sewer line was covered in tree and grass debris which leads me to believe that not too many temporary visitors come this way. The comfort station located close to our site was located in a very old building and not very clean. We stayed for 3 days during the 4th of July weekend. The park does have a nice large pool and offered activities for the kids. - JoelRamirez

We have been staying at this park for years since 1974. The park does need some improvements and the management is trying to shape it up. The front gate people do a good job of security. We have not had any problems with theft of anything. Its a nice place to stay for the winter and very reasonable. - LarryD

Outstanding park as far as amenities go. Everything you could ask for. Swimming, fishing, boating, transportation to the parks, shopping, dining, biking, and more. It is beautiful and immaculately kept. The site sizes are TINY! We stayed in one of their Premium sites - the largest they offer. The first site we were assigned was on the end and required us to position ourselves across the main road and then back in at an extreme right angle. No way. They graciously reassigned us to a site that was easier to maneuver into, but STILL ridiculously tight - of course, designed in an era when RVs were not monsters like they are today. Their service was incredible, as my husband had an accident while on property (our fault) and ended up in the hospital for FIVE days! The Disney folks watched over our RV, offered to bring us food, send transportation for us, and helped us with our accommodations and park tickets since we were unable to use them all and ended up having to stay additional days. So, while prices are, indeed, high at Disney - the customer service is outstanding! Would we stay again? Not sure in light of the high prices - but sure glad we did it once! - jjones5996

Beautiful campground with spacious campsites. It was fun to see other campers decorating their sites with Disney themes. We stayed in the 1100 loop. This is a good location as it is centrally located and there is a shuttle stop right there. You can also walk to the nightly campfire, Chip and Dale sing-a-long and movie. - g8r80
Jan 2019 - $95.00
We spent three nights at this very wooded campground. Each campsite is separated by dense foliage giving each site privacy. There was a comfort station in each "loop" that we very conveniently located. The restrooms were very clean. I stuck my head into the showers to inspect also! Also clean. The 'Mickey' wristband prevents outsiders from entry to the comfort station. Ice is available at each comfort station via a credit card actuated machine. Ample small cooler full for $2.00 The campground is very large. We recommend a golf cart to get around. We rented a golf cart to travel between our site and the bus station/boat launch, restaurants and camp stores (we saw two). Plenty of paved roadway for my bicycle rides. - SteveDahl
