Spent four nights using the Monday-Thursday 25% Discount off the $79 price. Check-in was easy and the staff was friendly. We were escorted to our site which was lake front. We brought our fishing gear and kayak which we were able to use. Fished extensively but did not catch any fish. The water is clear, the shore area has heavy under-water grass coverage and there are lots of turtles. You can also swim anywhere in the lake if you have a tube or raft. The lake has a special area with water slides and play area. The cost was $5 per day. The swimming areas were free. The roads in our area were in poor condition. Lots of pot holes that filled with water when it rained. The other side of the lake appeared to have mostly monthly renters. It looked like a fun, family-centered group of RV'rs. We camped at Flamingo Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Pull thru, Big Rig friendly, Full hook up. Gravel site, with dirt and grass. We are 44 and tow a car. We were escorted to our site. Unfortunately, there was a sign post that resulted in us having to unhitch the car to make the turn into our site. But, the location of the utilities on the site ment if we kept car on, it would have blocked the roadway. Easy on and off 295. There was a lake, a pool, and a snack bar we didnt use. Appeared to be many annual/ seasonal people there, but everything was orderly. Over priced for what we used. We camped at Flamingo Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Great management and front office staff. We were at Mayo Clinic with no knowledge of how long we would be there. The staff worked with us on keeping our space open for us. We were there for 1 month and only had to move one time. We had a great lakeside site. They have plans to pave roads and then the campground will be a 10. Overall Rating:

Any park that charges an extra $90 to bring one child can't get a good rating from me. Stayed here for the winter because every other park in the FL/GA/AL area was booked. Roads were easy to navigate. Site was paved & level, but did have a few cracks. A little surprising since the site was only 6 months old. All utilities worked well. Internet was good and free. Cable had lots of channels. Overall, my experience is that this park is trying to get every dollar out of your pocket. We stayed in a newer part of the park that didn't even have a bathhouse. They said that the city was giving them trouble with permits. OK - if that's the case, then don't put the bathhouse on your website, don't tell me over the phone that there is one, and don't charge me as if there is one. I had to walk 10 minutes to the closest bathhouse that hadn't been updated in years. It had holes in the shower and some the bathroom tiles were extremely dirty. I can guarantee that no RV park in America charges $875/month for a family of 3 and makes them walk 10 minutes to the closest bathhouse. I couldn't buy food at their main office on a credit card unless I bought at least $10. Wouldn't take AMEX. On January 1, they bumped the price up by $30. For this, they said they were making updates (new gate, paving roads, etc) - but in reality I only saw them making new sites. The only benefit I got was waking up at 7am to construction equipment every day in January. Also didn't like their policy on electricity. They made you pay for 1000 KwH even if you didn't use it. But if you went over, they would charge you extra per KwH. Should have dropped the price of the rent, just metered it, and charged me what I actually used. This is an above-average park, but not an excellent park. Most over-priced park I've been to. I will not be returning because the ownership does not deserve another penny from me. We camped at Flamingo Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We only spent 2 nights here between travels. This park is huge but well maintained. The sites are close. You do get an escort to help you to your site and park your rig. Everyone gets a concrete slab and paved pad. It is also gated with an office that is open until 8pm. The major bonus are the amenities. Pool, swimmable lake, recreation building, lots of scheduled activities, kids play area, AMAZING park cable, NO wifi, and a CAFE that delivers food to your site or you can walk to eat there. The laundry room was also very large. Close to highway, with easy entrance and exit, however we did not hear a lot of noise at night. There is also trash pickup at your site. A lot of trees would provide shade in the hot summer months. The only negative is the amount of rvs, tight spaces and no wifi. Everything else turned out to be fantastic. The location of this park is also great. An hour from east coast beaches, lots to do in Jacksonville and close to the Georgia border if you are traveling north or south. The cafe was actually really good. We were not expecting much but had the pizza one night, and hamburger and chicken philly another day and they were both great. We did not visit the area of Jacksonville.

Overall Rating:

Overall, we had a great time at Flamingo Lake RV Resort. Check-in was fairly quick. We were escorted to our site and found that our campsite was angled opposite the direction we were pointed on the one-way street. Site was easy to back into once we were approaching from a good angle. Site 16 had a great view and we would book that same site again, but we were disheartened at how many other campers cut through between the lakefront sites in order to walk along the lake (behind the campers) to fish, etc. This was frustrating and definitely took away from the illusion of 'privacy' of the wooded campsites. Our site had a small (4 person) picnic table and no sites in the campground had fire pits. We had family staying across the lake in one of the more expensive campsites with a wooden deck, but we preferred our site and site location due to the foliage, paved roads, and proximity to the cafe. The cafe was VERY convenient for when you arrive late and are tired and hangry, when you want a tasty breakfast but are feeling lazy, or when you're looking for a quick snack and coffee before departing. Everything we had from the cafe was tasty and the staff was very friendly. Some roads in the campground are paved, but over half of the roads are 'gravel'. By gravel, I mean mostly dirt and sand, and full of massive holes. Paved roads (or even fresh gravel) would really make a huge difference. We all remarked that unless we would definitely return to the park, but only if we had a lakefront site. A significant rain storm had come through before/during our arrival, which left most campsites in the 'unpaved' loop under several inches of standing water. We rode through the campground several days later and those sites still had standing water all in the roads and around the campers. Campground location was convenient to stores and downtown Jacksonville. Overall, had a great time and would return, depending on which sites are available. We camped at Flamingo Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The park is very beautiful, set on a recreational lake. Reasonably quiet, well landscaped. Shower stalls are a little small, and like many places, the shower heads are too low for anyone over six feet. On the down side, the internal roads were very narrow, therefore designated one way. Our angled pull through would have required an impossible hairpin turn to exit in the correct direction. Also, despite booking ahead, our pull through was not long enough to park off the road without unhooking, and tucking our tow vehicle up close to the coach. Others clearly had the same problem, resulting in their vehicles being near or on the road, further limiting maneuvering room in the park. Obviously this area was built in an earlier day when RVs were much smaller. There is a newer area we did not explore which is probably better laid out. If coming here again, we would request it. We camped at Flamingo Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed 2 different nights in a 40 ft motorhome in pull thru sites. The first stay site was very narrow with mud on both sides of the rig, no concrete patio area. For the 2nd stay, we asked to change sites. We were put on a paved site next to the pool-very tight and narrow. It rained that night and we were standing in about 1 1/2 inches of water all around the rig. The road to the second site was quite tight and our escort had to ask someone to move a car so we could make the turn. We camped at Flamingo Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice RV resort. We were fortunate enough to have a view right on the lake. They have a nice café and one of the nights we were there we played bingo. It was crowded but we were lucky enough not to have neighbors on either side. I would go back again if we could get our same site. We camped at Flamingo Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The park is a short drive off the highway. (Maybe too short because there is a lot of highway noise overnight. ) We arrived in the midst of torrential rains. The unpaved road and grassy areas were under water. By the next morning, the sites and roads were mostly drained. There is a long grassy area and a decent sized dog park, both of which were good for walking dogs. The sites are level and the hookups are conveniently placed. The reception at the office set the tone for everything with this park. The staff go above and beyond, they're courteous and friendly. The campground and sites are all excellent, circling the Spring fed lake. Great little Sunshine Cafe had great meal offerings all day long, and is a great social meeting area. Beaches are fantastic. This is the kind of campground others should aspire to be. We will be back. We camped at Flamingo Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
