We used a promo code thru Sun RV Resorts so the value was great BUT we were parked in the very back of the park.... a very long walk to the amenities. We had to drive the truck to the pool, fire pit etc. The front of the park is kept available for "transient" campers which is what we were. Unhappy with the service of the office customer service manager. Park is very clean and well landscaped. Maintenance man was very friendly and helpful. Lots of construction for expansion, but it did not interfere. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very easy access off I-95. Very open with little to no shade. Easy access for satellite. Strong AT&T signal. Great lake with catch & release fishing. Lower lot numbers (101, 201, 301, 401, 501) are closest to the pool, office, and dog park. Only negative is the noise from aircraft. Park is right on the final approach for Jacksonville Airport. Planes start coming close overhead at 0530 and don't stop until late at night. Florida law states that sewer hookup needs to have a rubber donut or screw-in sewer adapter. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Closest shopping is about 4-miles away. Right next to the Jacksonville Flea and Farmers Market which opens on weekends.

Our rate was a summer week-night special. Access was simple from I-95. We changed our site as the concrete was pretty unlevel. Roads were paved, hookups were good & the site was long. Restrooms were refurbished and the pool looked inviting. The park is in a direct flight path of an international airport and a naval air station, so free earplugs were offered at the office. There's some construction immediately next door & there is a weekend flea market next door too. We would stay again for an overnight. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nicely laid out park. Nice, friendly staff and shopping is nearby. Easy access right off of I-95. Large, concrete pads that are true pull-throughs make up the entire park. They are about to expand into a property next door that will increase their capacity by at least 50%, I would guess. I would have given them a 10, but the place lacks unique character and charm. It is more like a very well-designed, well-kept rest stop with a nice clean pool. Yes, there is noise from airplanes landing and taking off from the nearby airport, but they did not really bother us much and the number of flights were not that many. We will definitely stay with them again. Public roads leading to the park are under construction, but it looks like most should be complete by mid to late summer. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here for many years enroute or returning from west Florida. Meticulously maintained and extremely convenient to I-95. As mentioned on previous reviews, its only drawback is its location one one of the approach/departure (depending on the wind) routes to and from Jacksonville International Airport ... with the aircraft passing just 600 feet overhead. However, it is still a first rate RV park! We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The only complaint is airplane noise. The park is near Jacksonville International and it is below the path the naval sub hunters fly. There is road construction at the entrance but it is manageable and will improve the entrance with a turn lane being added. Campground now a park of Sun Resorts and is starting an expansion. Relatively new, nice, clean campground north of Jacksonville with convenient on/off I-95. Roads are paved and sites are concrete. There is grass between sites and small trees on some sites. Sites are 60 ft with a wide pad. Pad slopes down on front and back to road so longer rigs have to center on pad to level which requires toad to be disconnected. WiFi was not usable during our stay. Most sites had a picnic table but ours did not. There is a nice pool at front and pond on one side. There is a fee market next door. One exit south on I-95 is a large commercial area with many stores and restaurants. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Good park in an unfortunate location. The park itself: Friendly, efficient check-in. Cement pull-thru full hookup spots. Spots are somewhat level but cement on some sites is cracked. Patio & picnic table. Good wifi. Cable. Pool. Small lake. The location: It is directly under a flight path and the planes are so close that one can count the rivets! The planes take off at 6 am sharp and end in the evening so it is quieter at night but quite loud during the day. Park is also near a freeway; convenient for stop-overs but noisy. This is a great place for a stop-over and we've stopped here frequently on our way between South Carolina and Florida. Central Reservation will say that a minimum of 1 week stay is required but ask for the local office as they do allow overnight stays. There are a number of long-term RV's but they are maintained. They are in the back section. Travelers are put in the front section. We would stay here again as a stop-over spot but would not stay longer due to the very loud noise. Price seemed high. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This RV park's only drawback is its proximity to Jacksonville International Airport ... as the glide path for arriving planes puts them just a couple of hundred feet over park. However, we have stayed here on a number of occasions when heading to or returning from central and southern Florida; and will continue to do so. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

First time at this park and most likely the last only because it's way overpriced. The property is not a resort but rather a nice campground that charges like a resort. The amenities are nice but we noted several concrete pads within the park that are not level [including our site] which required some RVs to park with wheels off the ground in order to get level. Yes, the campground is located within the takeoff path of Jacksonville international airport runway 8 but planes, trains, and major highways always seem to be a part of RV camping. Sun Communities is a big corporation and like most billion-dollar corporations' profit is king so do not be surprised if you don't get exactly what you paid for. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We have stayed here numerous times on the way from SC to Fl. Yes, the flight path is above but it really isn't a bother unless you want the quiet of a State park. We live with air or heat and a TV in or outside going all the time and don't notice them unless we are outside and it is slight. Personally, I find them fascinating! Overall it is extremely clean without the oft seem "trash" campsites. Big rigs are welcome with plenty of room for our 40 footer plus dolly and tow. Though we don't use the amenities, the pool seems nice and clean. Didn't use the laundry but have read that the machines take credit cards which I think it wonderful; when we did use them we never had enough change. It is so close to I-95, easy in, easy out. We have never had anything but help from the staff, including arriving later without a reservation today. Our initial call was sent to the "corporate office" who could not make reservations. They do close earlier than expected on Sundays so be sure to have a confirmation. Nevertheless, a staff member was there, provided us a phone number -- not the corporate we were directed to -- and we were "in like Flynn"! Some of the complaints, in my opinion, are petty such as garbage pick up, monitoring the behavior of "guests", etc. I like a site where I feel safe from neighbors' bad behavior. When walking our dogs, I noticed all kinds of campers, from 45 footers with tows to much smaller cab-overs. Just now an RV came in hauling a boat! No unhooking required. If I were staying a bit to see Jacksonville, I definitely would stay here. I've also noticed a number of obviously seasonal campers staying here. Given I prefer a clean campground with concrete pads ( yes, in some there are minor cracks but not obstructing), where I feel very safe at night, where my dogs are welcome, where I can enter and exit without major traffic or poor road conditions, and where fellow campers are friendly, I will always stay here for a night or a week. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.
