Stopped just for one night while in the area. Pool was nice, though the roads to get to the full hook up area by the pond are very difficult to navigate in a large Motorhome. Very convenient to Old Towne and nearby shopping. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

My wife and I are from Spain and we have been traveling for three years with our motorhome throughout the United States. This campsite was recommended to us by friends and we have been four days. Okay, but considering the season it is, May, and what is offered, is a bit high the price for what they offer. The pool area is very nice as is the bar of the same. The plots are large and have all the amenities.   It is in Kissimmee and therefore close to all the attractions, and restaurants that one wants. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

This is the closest campground to Disney World. It is an older campground and is very large. The spaces are close together. We had a pull thru that made the tight spaces easier to get inot and set up. The bathrooms were older and needed to be updated, but they were clean. We stayed here for 3 nights. There are nicer campgrounds, you might pay a bit more for them, but this campground is the closest to Disney World. If Disney is your destination and not the campground then this is the right campground for you! We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Shakedown cruise for the new Montana 3950. No issues with our unit. Campground is clean and quiet.. Some of the spots are a little tight and there is no consistency on where the sewer, power and fresh water connections are. I had to pull further forward than I wanted to hook up power, but that meant I needed all 30 feet of sewer hose and because of a tree, there was no way to get a downhill flow. Not a fan of site 356. There was a problem with the 50A feed, but they fixed it within 20 minutes. Loose wire in the box so they replaced the 50A breaker and the outlet. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The park has a lot of park models and rents them out as well as sells them. Large park with nice club house and small store. Interior roads are paved, but can get a bit tight in some spots. We had no problems with utilities and would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for the weekend in a Motorhome along with our Daughter's family in a site next to us in their pop-up. We had one of the grassy sites near the back of the park. Some reviewers have complained about the narrow roads but we are in a 35 foot motorhome towing a jeep and the roads are fine. You do have to find your own site. We stayed after some heavy rains and were moved off our original reserved site when we arrived but the new sites were fine. They do have better premium sites that we will try next time. Park was clean. The person who helped us with our reservations was superb and even came out of the back to welcome us. The sites we had were somewhat close together which is why I rated it less. Good place to stay if you need to be close to the amusement parks. We have already made another reservation for Sept 2016. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Booked a last minute site with some friends for the Independence Day weekend, and to our surprise, there were sites available. The gentlemen who helped us on the phone was very courteous and did his best to locate us as close as possible to our friends. When we arrived check-in was quick and smooth, however when we arrived at our site it was flooded from the previous evening's showers. We went back to the front office and they gave us several other sites to choose from, then remembering that we were traveling with another group, they told us that they did have a site available right next to the rest of our party, and they put us there! I honestly couldn't ask for better service from a campground staff! The campground itself is clean, fairly well maintained, and the campers in it are generally courteous towards each other. One member in our party did have issues with the 30 amp breaker tripping, but as I have noticed with other campgrounds, this is a common problem. They went and purchased a 50 amp adapter and all was well after that. Pool can get overcrowded, but that is expected during a holiday weekend in the middle of a very hot Florida summer. I will gladly camp here again! We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Map out your path to your site using a service like Google Earth as this campground is tight. We navigated with a relatively small set up (3/4 ton truck with a 26' TT) and it was still tight.

Decent park not too far from Disney. A combo of park models and pull-through sites. Staff directed us to our site and offered to help hook up.

Sites were closely spaced, but the park was nicely landscaped, clean, and quiet.

Bathrooms were acceptable. Park is within walking distance of restaurants and shops. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

This is our second stay at this park. The sites in the section we stayed at this time are tighter with not much room between sites. They do have level concrete pads. The site was plenty long for our 40ft motorhome and toad. The roads are narrow and difficult for big rigs. The park is clean but busy as you would expect in this area. We got a 1/2 price discount for being Passport America members which was great. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

We camped here 3 nights in a motorhome. The site is very tight for a big rig with many large trees at the site. The roads are narrow and one-way which makes it difficult to park and to exit in a big rig as the sites are very close together and the trees are on all sides of the sites. The ground at all of the sites stays wet all the time and several of the sites have large ruts in the ground surrounding the concrete pads. The hookups are located so far to the rear of the sites that most campers must use sewer extensions in order to reach the sewer dump at each site. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

The park is fairly clean and many activities for kids as well as adults, pool, volley ball, putt-putt golf, shuffleboard, etc. The park as all types of sites from grass back-ins for tents to pull-throughs with pond-views. The park and stay area can be pretty rowdy and little park rules are enforced very randomly. Very close to Disney and other area attractions, but the cost is much less. The pool is very clean with a café and dive-in movies. Restrooms are clean and there are multiple laundry rooms. I rated this lower than I would due to the staff at the park. Most are not very friendly and if you speak to them a large number ignore you. We camped here before and it seems like they have replaced all of the older staff that was here. The park is within walking distance, a few blocks, to Old Town and Fun Spot amusement park. Old Town is a place that is fairly unique with stores and kiddie rides to keep the youngsters entertained. For the car enthusiast there are car shows on Friday and Saturday evenings, depending on the weather. At the end of the car show there is a cruise in of all of the cars in the show. Almost any type of cars you could imagine. The Fun Spot has rides, go-carts, bungee rides and is fun for all. We will stay here again. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Some of the streets are narrow but useable for big rigs. Nice pool areas and a small store. You are in the middle of all the sites, plenty of shopping and restaurants. Some sewer hookups are placed far away, low water pressure at times and cable is not usable in some areas. WiFi is great at times, if the park isn't full. Over all: not a bad park. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park, always enjoy our stay. Some of the roads are very narrow, but navigational. Wi-Fi is not dependable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pool area is nice, not many people so we had it virtually to ourselves. Close proximity to all attractions. Would stay here again. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Great place; clean, busy, quiet, all that. We were here 3 weeks, and would go back. We stayed in the area up front, with cement pads--the upgrade area. Good location for proximity to Orlando. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Nice campground, friendly and helpful staff. Sites are very close together with limited shady sites. Very nice pool and poolside cafe, prices are very reasonable in the cafe. Every time we have been to this park, ants are a problem. Bath houses are clean and air-conditioned. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
