Having full timed for five years and been in 100 parks across America, this park has the distinction of being the worst ever. Very disappointed, especially because we try to do our homework thoroughly and we are staying for a length of time. This has been our first and last Encore Park. The park roads are very poorly marked leading people to frequently drive the wrong way creating a hazard especially with the narrowness of the roads. They have islands in the road that make it difficult for large rigs to negotiate. To make matters worse, when we requested an escort to our site, we were told they don't do that because they are undermanned. We are in a Premium pull through site that is a misnomer. There is no real clubhouse for people to assemble. The front desk personnel are rude and untrained while park management is non-existent. In one month, we've been witness to an accident, several traffic close-calls, an eruption of a plugged sewer, lack of hot water in the rest rooms, and a lack of towels/disinfectant in the fitness room. These people clearly do not know what business they are in. On the plus side, the wifi has been good and cable tv clear. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rest rooms all closed for renovation, except those at the pool. No wifi. Staff surly when questioned about these things. Oh well, that's the way it is, we're sorry, of course. Seriously .... what kind of rv park management renovates during peak season? No discount given for the lack of these basic services. Sadly, as with many Encore resorts in the pay few years, they fail to deliver promised amenities yet charge high prices. Will avoid Encore in the future as we have found their parks too often to be much less than advertised. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed 10 days. No activities, except for kids on weekends. Mini golf, shuffle board, bags & bocce ball were all closed. Office staff could care less about the customer. Bathrooms/showers were under renovation and closed (except the one by the pool). All I got was excuses & blaming employees that were no longer working at the park. The only thing this park has going for it right now is being close to Disney. Have stayed here several times and this is the worst stay ever. Never again. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

The grounds are quite pretty around the lagoon. We drove out of our way to stay here again despite problems last year. Last year they put us in an awful site and we requested a change. They offered us a Lagoon view but it was with an up charge. We accepted. While here, the water was off for 2 days! Broken water main. OK stuff happens. This past summer, I made a reservation for here again and requested and was promised a Lagoon view. When we arrived, we were told our site was given to someone else who booked a longer stay. We were parked on the edge of the park directly in front of a dumpster. "Dumpster view". My wife went up the next morning and spoke to a very nice girl, explained the situation, and requested a move. She attempted to move us to a site on the Lagoon. My wife walked to the site and someone was in it. They didn't even know there was a squatter. They gave us another site on the Lagoon. Third day here, Water went off again!!!! We are told it is another water main break. Horrible experience. Disappointing. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

I feel compelled to write a review on this place. Under new ownership since December, 2016, but from what I can see Encore is more about promoting their brand than running a park. The location is fantastic and the pool area is great. We were there for February 2017 in an RV on a gravel site that was fine. We lost water for long periods of time twice, each followed by 3 days of a boil water alert. During the day-long + water outage the restrooms were off limits, no portables were brought in, and water was not offered until very late in the process. Lost water other times too - 10 out of 28 days with water problems. The men's room ran out of toilet paper, had no soap often - once for 4 days or so. When I asked why no soap I was told it was on order. Come on now, why not run down to the store and get some pump bottles? There are chairs in the shower stalls to put your things on leaving little room to change. One shower stall had a nice, narrow bench that worked, but only one in the whole place. I went to the front desk several times to bring items to their attention, get mail, and ask questions. More often than not there was a line at the counter while employees were on the phone with customers. Aren't these back room tasks for such a large, active park? Talked to several employees who said they were not pleased with the new management. If you are self-contained and will be off property a lot, this place will work. But if you plan to use the facilities or stay for awhile, be ready for a disappointment. Hope they get their act together. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

As soon as I was checking in, I realized that the women at the front desk had ZERO knowledge of RVing when they told me to place our pass on the "electric tower." I said "Do you mean the PEDESTAL ?" and they both started at me and said "We never heard it called that !"

Then no one guided us to our campsite even though we were way in the back of the park with many turns to get there. Also, the roads in this park are extremely narrow, especially for bigger rigs.

When we found our spot, we saw that we'd have to back our Class A between two large palm trees that were quite close. Have navigated that, hooking up was a challenge because nothing was located where you'd expect it to be. The sewer was at least 20 feet or more from our rig.

Then, after we were finally hooked up, the power failures began (a daily event). The section we were located in (200) was old and obviously wired back in the days of pick-up truck campers and pop-ups. The current was completely inadequate for today's rigs. The pedestal two sites away from us actually overheated to the point that smoke was pouring out of it ! This, of course, resulted in ANOTHER lengthy power failure. Overall, I think we had to run our genny at least six hours during our four day stay.

I am mostly afraid of the adverse long-term effects the power outages will have on the micro-wave, TV, and rooftop AC. The owner of one of the coaches in our club, a large Class A, was told by the owner/manager that our club member was part of the problem because his rig was "running three AC's"(not true). He actually was only using 20-Amps.

Our campsite was at least decently dry. The ones right behind us were mostly muck after some night-time showers. There seemed to be no consistency in the size of the campsites. Some, like ours, were decently roomy (after snaking through the trees) but others seemed both short AND narrow.

The Wi-Fi was awful. For over 36 hours, I was unable to connect. The cable TV was OK, ,but only SD.

Our rally group was allowed to use a back room in the office facility. Food was stolen from it every day. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Traffic on 192 is just terrible, so going anywhere is a challenge. There are an unbelievable number of restaurants in the area, so finding a place to eat is easy. The cars driven by tourists are very rude. It was like driving in Boston. No turn signals, cutting right across our front bumper, etc.

Old Town is actually within walking distance, and that's a nice perq. Celebration is not all that far away, either.

We have stayed at Tropical Palms for several years, often several times a year. This is not the same park we were used to. New ownership means new changes-that doesn't mean good changes. Days of boil water advisories, weekend "entertainment" at the swimming pool that would deafen, annoy, or cause people looking for a relaxing time to leave, and a staff that, while friendly, also gives the impression that they really couldn't care less about the ongoing problems has brought change: all bad. This is a shame- we really liked it there- now we won't return. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Several weeks ago I made reservations for 2 sites for a Friday and Saturday nights. I specifically ask for 2 sites side by side within a range of 6 sites. I was advised that those sites were available. I was ask to pay $280.24(full payment) to secure the reservations. When we arrived they wanted to put us in 2 sites that were nowhere near each other. A young man pompously advised us that we were just making a reservation for a site, not specific sites. He explained that they take reservations like a hotel and you aren't told what room you will have. I ask why I wasn't told about that part of their policy when I made the reservation. He was so condescending that he didn't represent Tropical Palms well at all. Finally, they did find us 2 sites in the original area that I had requested, but it would be $10.00 more per night per site. That's $80.00 plus 13% tax and a resort fee of $3.00 plus tax for a back in, 30 amp, dirty site. When we arrived at the sites there were beer and soda cans all over the site. Additionally, there were cigarette butts and paper all over the site. I'm disappointed in the way Tropical Palms has chosen to conduct their business and treat customers. We have camped there many times over the years but I don't think we will be returning. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

I guess you could describe this place as "take-it-or-leave-it". Staff didn't seem particularly interested in our business. The park has resort amenities, but the actual sites were not well maintained; at least not well enough to justify the price. Cable TV was a joke; our antenna brought in more stations, and clearer stations than the park's alleged cable. Pool (and kiddie pool) was clean and well-maintained, but then kids took it over most of the time so that adults were sidelined; and at night teens were engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior in the pool, so that killed it for us. The park is close to Disney World and does has full hook-ups (not all sites). Noticed that there were a variety of hokum activities for the snowbirds; lots of out of control children running wild (bicycles mostly) throughout the property, crossing campsites (no one teaches RV park etiquette apparently), riding over grass; and plenty of idiot adults parking vehicles on the grass between sites (privileged folks apparently). I guess we'd return if we had to, but it wouldn't be my first choice, still it was better than some parks promoting themselves as resorts. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Truck Camper.

WARNING -- This is the same resort as TROPICAL PALMS FUN RESORT below. The difference in the names is due to the fact that ENCORE owns Tropical Palms Fun Resort. Someone should (but this is impossible) contact the web site and ask them to merge the reviews on these "two" facilities as they are one in the same. This park has a number of positives and negatives. On the plus side, the park is close to Disney. There is a Camping World nearby, as well as a Target and a Walmart. The pool is large and there are several activities available to guests. On the negative side, the rest rooms were horrible. They were never clean during our week long stay. One stall in the ladies room was roped off with a caution tape the whole time we were there and another did not have a lock on the door. This only left one working stall complete with a lock on the door. The showers were filthy. The bathroom did not have a trash can in it and the outlets were cracked and would not let you plug in a blow dryer. The campground signage is very poor and is it easy to get lost. The campground map we were given was not correct. For example, one laundry area is not even shown on the map. Several washers and dryers were torn up and were not marked which left the user guessing which ones worked and which ones didn't. Site size in the unpaved sites varies greatly. This park has enormous potential as an destination spot for visitors to the Orlando area but it desperately needs cleaning and updating. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Tent Trailer.

Stayed here for 1 month, they are replacing some of the undesirable rv sites with cottages. The super sites are fantastic, but the amenities need some work. The snack shack is very $$$ and the bathrooms and bathhouses have been unimproved. Stall doors are busted or not there, and no paper towels to dry your hands (this was the entire time during our stay). WIFI worked intermittently. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

The park and it seems most Encore parks are only interested in money, not customer service. Problems with our registration and was asked to travel to one of Encore's other parks(miles away). It seems they are over booking. If I would have wanted to stay at one of their other parks, I would have booked my reservation there. The price for one night is almost as much as Disney's RV. park, and it was not as nice or convenient. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

We chose this campground because of its proximity to Walt Disney World and because we could not get into Fort Wilderness. The park was fairly well kept with nice vegetation and the pond was fun to look at but yielded not fish. The interior roads are very narrow and difficult to navigate, the laundry facilities are dirty and many machines are broken. But our biggest complaint was the lack of a WiFi signal at our campsite. When we head home we will stop in Orlando but will not stay here. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.
