We camped here 3 nights in a motorhome. The site is very tight for a big rig with many large trees at the site. The roads are narrow and one-way which makes it difficult to park and to exit in a big rig as the sites are very close together and the trees are on all sides of the sites. The ground at all of the sites stays wet all the time and several of the sites have large ruts in the ground surrounding the concrete pads. The hookups are located so far to the rear of the sites that most campers must use sewer extensions in order to reach the sewer dump at each site. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This campground is ok, but we won't stay again. We were there for a motorhome club rally. We were promised 10 sites together and didn't get them. Some members were in other sections - very inconvenient. One member was given a short site for a 40ft coach. Our site was next to a long-term camper. Had clothesline and large trailer with trash and leaves all over it. That was our view from our dining table. Parked on grass with cement pad for patio, kept dirt and mud (it rained) out of our motorhome. Roads inside the park are extremely tight. The location is good - great Publix across the street. Didn't use the pool but they had lots of lounge chairs around the pool deck. Sites were roomy. So, positives were roomy sites, cement patio, pool area, and location. Negatives - not accommodating to rally group and allowing unsightly long-term campers. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

First saw this park while staying elsewhere the year before and was impressed so much we made reservations on the spot for the next year. Hard to put my finger on it, but my expectations were not met. Sites were close - some of them too close (and we're originally from the Northeast where all parks are tight!) Paid for a premium site (paved with concrete patio) and guaranteed a site within that section. Also told that priority went to monthly/seasonal campers. No problem - understand the policy. We arrived and were told park was totally full but a site was saved for us. Escorted to the site and it was occupied! Only other site available with W/E/S/Cable was much shorter than others - but managed to just fit (Toad had to be parked away from the site). We were on a busy corner and the site really shouldn't have been there for anyone! The management never explained why the original site was occupied, but the RV there stayed the whole week we were there. There were several others in the office when we were there to deal with the mistake and they also had been given sites that were occupied! Not a good start. Park is large and the streets were very confusing. Arrows painted on the narrow streets all seemed to go the same way!!! WE had to go against the arrows to leave the park. The laundry area closest to us was far too small for the number of sites it was supposed to support (3 washers and 3 dryers - $4 to wash and dry). The food at the pool area café was barely adequate (although not expensive). There seemed to be numerous activities available and the pool area/recreation seemed to be family friendly. This park has so much potential to be awesome, but somehow it just seemed ordinary - and not very organized in the office for sure! They seemed surprised but not at all really concerned when the site "saved" for us had another RV on it!!! We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great location for visiting the theme parks. Only about 5 minutes from Disney, right next to run down old-fashioned area called "Old Town".

Beware. Stay clear of this place. Was here during Halloween. Water was shut off 3 times this week, with no warning. Employees are rude and well not answer questions, or help you. Manager is ruder then anyone. Doesn't even attempt to make you feel welcome. This place is overpriced for what it is. And , wouldn't call this place a resort. Bathrooms were nasty. Used female pads on floor, mold in showers. Had no Internet at all. Cable was iffy. I was paid up for the season, but left after 3 weeks. Manager refused to give me a refund. I will be making a formal complaint with better business about this place. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a great campground. Close to the Disney parks. I was in site 523, a premium deluxe site and was great. Lots of activities. Golf cart accessible. Close to old town and amusement park. At this time, park was not overcrowded. Only reason did not give a 10 rating was because 30 amp breaker kept jumping. Used 50 amp with adapter and worked great. Staff was very friendly and because of Halloween had a haunted house and graveyard for the kids. We will definitely be back. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Just OK. Staff disinterested unless you wish to purchase a park model which seems to be the main focus of this park . Bathrooms just OK, wifi useless , pool tiny for a park this size , concrete pads overgrown . Close to Disney and local bars etc , at a reasonable price for the area . We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Rate reflected is with a four night buy-one-get-one offer. Would not stay here if we had to pay full price. The best thing this park has going for it, is its location, close to Disney and many restaurants. Has one pool that is too small for a campground of this size. Never went in the pool due to it being overcrowded. Bathhouse/restroom could use a good scrubbing. Thick dust on top of toilet paper holders, mildew buildup in shower stalls. No bench to place items in shower area, just a couple of hooks. Tour helicopters are constantly flying overhead during the day. Most sites do not offer any type of shade and the sites are close together. Old Town is trinket stores, bars and carnival rides. The resort employees were very friendly. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This location was a good memory. Prior reviews pretty much cover the plus and minus's. Close to most everythig. But everything close is very expensive. Old Town is fun on car nights. They do have a problem with the open gate at night, as there are people driving arround during the night. We will return. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is fairly clean and many activities for kids as well as adults, pool, volley ball, putt-putt golf, shuffleboard, etc. The park as all types of sites from grass back-ins for tents to pull-throughs with pond-views. The park and stay area can be pretty rowdy and little park rules are enforced very randomly. Very close to Disney and other area attractions, but the cost is much less. The pool is very clean with a café and dive-in movies. Restrooms are clean and there are multiple laundry rooms. I rated this lower than I would due to the staff at the park. Most are not very friendly and if you speak to them a large number ignore you. We camped here before and it seems like they have replaced all of the older staff that was here. The park is within walking distance, a few blocks, to Old Town and Fun Spot amusement park. Old Town is a place that is fairly unique with stores and kiddie rides to keep the youngsters entertained. For the car enthusiast there are car shows on Friday and Saturday evenings, depending on the weather. At the end of the car show there is a cruise in of all of the cars in the show. Almost any type of cars you could imagine. The Fun Spot has rides, go-carts, bungee rides and is fun for all. We will stay here again. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Some of the streets are narrow but useable for big rigs. Nice pool areas and a small store. You are in the middle of all the sites, plenty of shopping and restaurants. Some sewer hookups are placed far away, low water pressure at times and cable is not usable in some areas. WiFi is great at times, if the park isn't full. Over all: not a bad park. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park, always enjoy our stay. Some of the roads are very narrow, but navigational. Wi-Fi is not dependable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pool area is nice, not many people so we had it virtually to ourselves. Close proximity to all attractions. Would stay here again. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This was a really nice campground. The office has really late hours (11 pm), which was fantastic for me because I came in at 9 pm. You can pick from many different types of sites. We picked one without sewer but it had a pull-through concrete pad. The property was very clean and well maintained. The grass was being worked on everyday. I don't have kids but this would be a great place for them. They had many planned events and plenty of things for kids to do. There was a fenced dog park, which I loved. The maintenance crew was great. We had a problem with our electric and they were right over to help us. The store in the office sells about everything including beer. The bathhouse that I used was clean. A word of advice though, there are several sites that are just grass. It was raining quite a bit when we went so some of those sites had standing water. Use caution when picking one of those sites. Besides that, I would still highly recommended this campground. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tropical Palms is one of the nicest parks we have stayed at. Its big but doesn't feel that way. Lots of trees and the pads are level and concrete. The pool is 85 degrees year round and large. They have a kiddy pool, also. Cafe on site with good food and reasonable prices. They have putt-putt golf, horseshoe tournaments, and other activities. About 7 miles to Magic Kingdom. We really liked this place and would stay here again on our way through Florida. About the only negative I can say is the internet is awful. Slow and constantly going down. Overall Rating:

This campground was recommended by a friend and highly rated by the Trailer Life directory. Both over rated it. The office staff were wonderful: helpful and pleasant. The park looks great, but it ends there. The roads are narrow and with unmanageable turns for anything but the smallest RV. The campground put large motorhomes towing long trailers on sites too small for them. It was crowded to the point of being claustrophobic. It is over priced for what it is. The WiFi didn't work. Even after an "upgrade" it was useless. The cable TV was poor. It is located close to attractions, but the negatives far outweighed the closeness. We will not be back !! We camped at Tropical Palms Resort in a Motorhome.
