Campground was near capacity but did not feel cramped. Plenty of space between campsites. Some sites have better privacy than others, just depends on the landscaping between sites. If you have a long trailer some of the sites can be tight when backing in. It's a big place so many have golf carts or bikes to get around. There is bus transport to and from the amenity areas. For a cheap meal we ordered a pizza from P&J's Southern Takeout located at the Trading Post. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Great way to go to Disney, spacious sites with trees in between, nice bike paths and pools, a little pricey for an RV park but cheap compared to other Disney resorts

Amazing campground with top notch facilities and services. Everyone from check-in to rentals to horse rides are there to ensure fast service. My only complaint was that backing into my site was difficult due to the length of my TT and the angle. The road was a lot narrower than I anticipated from YouTube videos. Otherwise, an amazing experience. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Absolutely fantastic park. Even with the premium price we felt satisfied. The dog park is huge! We camped here for a total of 4 nights and we were able to visit Universal Orlando and Disney Parks. The staff is friendly and worked with us to get close to our parents' site. The laundry facilities are well kept and can be activated with credit card. New Wifi at campsite was excellent. Very fast and reliable. Alas rating of 9 instead of 10 because the electric post breaker popped when we ran 3 ACs. For the rest of the week, we made sure not to run everything at once. Also very expensive with $9 per night FL resort fee + $9 per night FL tourism improvement fee. 700 loop premium pet loop closest to boats. Publix grocery store about 13 minutes away. Take boat to Magic Kingdom. Drive car to all other parks, parking free. MK will close whenever full, so always visit first in morning. The premium sites are not much better than standard sites, we might try standard next time.

This was the cleanest, most friendly place we have ever camped!! The shower houses are clean and someone comes in several times a day to check on them. Our site was a full hook up with plenty of trees, solid concrete pad for our car and travel trailer and small sand pad in the back for setting up a tent. Swimming pool was warm and they also have a hot tub. Bus transportation provided to the parks or you can ride the boat to magic kingdom. Golf cart and bike rental available for use within the camp site loops. Two general stores/souvenir shops located on propert. Prices are high for convenience items that people might have forgotten to pack (cereal, coffee, milk, eggs, etc). Laundry was 3.00 wash/3.00 dry and was credit or debit card only. No cash accepted. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

You can rent a golf cart or bike and drive up to the little beach on property. They have quick service food and a souvenir shop up there as well. At night, watch magic kingdom fireworks from that beach and also the electric water pageant. (All free to watch!)

Its hard not to love this place. Yes, it is expensive, even on the off-season, compared to other campgrounds. But its Disney. You pay a lot but you get a lot. We were in the 1400 loop backed up to a canal. Such a cool spot with our toy hauler patio hanging out over that canal. Yes, it can be a little tight getting in but you only have to back in one time. My toy hauler is 43' long and although we had to maneuver a few times, we finally got it right and it was perfect. Plenty of wildlife including deer, peacocks, and lots of squirrels. Yes, plenty of golf carts but considering the size of the campground, a golf cart is a wonderful item to have. If you don't have a golf cart, buses running throughout the place are often. Bathhouses are cleaner than the bathrooms of most peoples' homes. Great laundry facilities as well. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Renting a golf cart is popular there but expensive. They are awesome to have if you don't have your own. But if you stay at the parks all day, it may not be worth it.

Obviously, you're paying to stay at a Disney property, the only one that allows dogs. Sites are all back in and can be quite challenging even for smaller rigs. At check-in they told us that if we didn't like our site we could call the office to see if any of the nearby empty sites were available. We did change sites for better back in ability and satellite reception. Excellent wifi. Stayed 11 nights and never drove, Disney buses take you anywhere you'd want to go at WDW. All sites have a spacious concrete patio w/ table and grill. Sites are spacious, not cramped. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Not exactly big rig friendly, the Fort is still the best option for visiting Disney parks. We have stayed three times this year and learned more each time. They do not make reservations for a specific site, so many of us play "go fish." You ask for a site assignment and several others that will be open that day. Then you park in overflow parking, disconnect your car, and drive around to find one of the sites on the list that will work for your RV. You may need to wait several hours past checkout for your site to be available because many people stay well past 11am, then Disney cleans off the site before you're allowed to occupy it. Unfortunately, many of the sites are unlevel, and many motor homes have their front tires off the ground. This is sad for such an expensive park. Out of 5 site options they give us, we can typically find one that works. Then you have the fun of backing into these sites, which were designed for bumper pull campers decades ago. It's quite an experience! I won't stay for less than a week, because I basically lose the first day getting a site and setting up. Additionally, you could need a power cord extension, at least 25' of water hose, and 20' or more of sewer hose. Again, it's a destination park, and nowhere near big rig friendly. It would be really nice if they would build one Class A only or big rig loop that is setup more like a typical modern RV park. With all of that said, it does really immerse you in the Disney experience and is worth the extra hassle to us, especially for a longer stay. There is plenty for the family to do around the Fort (we enjoy the carriage rides, swimming pool, and playgrounds). We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The restaurants at the Fort don't have the selection and appeal of other Disney properties. Take the boat to Wilderness Lodge for a great lunch at Roaring Fork or to The Contemporary for Contempo Cafe. Both are great choices. While at the Fort, take a carriage or wagon ride and roast a marshmallow at the campfire with Chip and Dale.

Made reservation (6 months in advance) for a 3 week stay, and commented I had a big rig and wanted a satellite friendly site if possible. Must not have been possible. Site was long enough, but had to negotiate a fence on one side of site and metal poles (6 inches at most on each side) protecting a transformer on the other side in order to back into a site that had tree limbs touching each side of rig. Forget satellite. Cable didn't work either, maybe due to having to use an extension coax to reach and signal loss. Golf carts EVERYWHERE and evidently once you get out of your car you leave common sense there rather than use it operating a golf car. All of the staff was extremely friendly, but won't be back. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Our first stay at the Fort Wilderness Camp. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted, checked in, and given a map to our site. Our first site (we had two due to Hurricane Matthew) was situated close to the front entrance. There was a bus loop not far, and a playground in the next loop over. At first I thought the sites were a little close, but as we backed in I realized that was a trick of a loop; we had privacy and space enough. Sadly, we were evacuated from the camp to another resort due to the incoming weather. Our second site was perfect; at the end of the loop, right near the Meadow Trading Post (at the center of the grounds), and near a bus stop. We had no issues with electric or water, we did not use the cable hook up (who wants to watch TV when they are at Disney anyway?!). The staff was kind, and available to answer all questions or address concerns. For future plans we are going with the preferred campsite over the premium as our rig is smaller, and we like having friends or kids sleep in the tents (reserving the RV space for my husband and I, or just adults). Our family plans to make Fort Wilderness a regular stop for all our Disney World resort stays. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

This was our first 10/10 campsite. Hit all of our major wants - clean, private, playground, and WiFi. Sites were close together, but there is vegetation between each site, so you could barely see neighbors. This campground is huge, so if you're interested in being near playground/pool. then ask at check in. Otherwise you may need to rent a golf cart. Busses moving through the park are slow, so we definitely saw the value in a golf cart. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
