Stayed on a Premium site. Our site had the hookups at the front of the site and luckily we have an extension for our power cord as our 35' coach cord could not reach. The water and cable connections also required an extension. We noticed this is not the case at all the sites however, we did not have a choice of the site we were given. Large coaches may have trouble backing in. A place to unhook a toad is limited. Over all, we'll be back. Once on site one does not need a car as shuttles are excellent for getting around all of Disney World. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you have not been to Disney before take time to review all the activities well ahead of time to plan out your stay and find out where each activity is located within a given area. Get the Disney World app and set up a fastpass for each days activity. Be sure to pick up a map at each area. Disney World is expensive and they do things right. Try to visit during off times as things can get very crowded during sometimes of the year.

I honestly was very disappointed with our site and our stay. Having stayed in several Disney resorts over the years, and now owning an RV, I expected the same level of quality and cleanliness previously experienced. Upon arrival our site was not clean, littered with bottle caps, cigarette butts and branches. We were on loop 200 and all sites were crowded and very sandy. WiFi didn't work at all! Meadows pool recently started closing at 8 pm, way too early. Ole Swimming hole was open late, in theory. The pool was closed the entire 7 nights of our stay I was told there was a mechanical issue. That happens so open Meadows later. Kids want to swim!! The common areas and grounds were much nicer than the sites we saw and more up to standards. Nice area to bike ride. Bus transportation was good. Boat transportation varied. Very long waits at times while other resorts were getting prompt boat service. I do like that large families can be accommodated here unlike many Disney resorts...(our group rented two sites however). We were told that other loops have much more space and did not experience the debris we did, but this is where we were placed and were told the park was full. When I voiced my concerns a manager said "give us another chance". I honestly would like to in the hopes that it would be a better experience, as overall there is a nice feel here. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We actually stayed in October 2014 & May 2015, and have a planned stay in December 2016. What can you say, it Disney. I tried this place in 2014 and was hooked from the start. It is quiet, well spaced RV sites. Both times I have stayed there we were in the 800 loop. We rented a golf cart offsite, and have had a great time. Transportation to Magic Kingdom is by boat, and the other parks are by bus. There is a bus system internally in resort that will get you to were ever you wish to go. Gift Shops, Marina, Pools, and Restaurants are all top notch. Went to the shops and picked up a internet router and plugged this into my wireless router in the rv, so everyone had internet. Internet was great speed. TV is cable, and had plenty of channels. We had a premium site both times, and had plenty of room for two golf carts as we had 5 people in our site. Trash pick-up is everyday, so no smell. Bathhouses are spotless. Laundry facility is great with plenty of units. Site are fairly shaded. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Very lush & varied landscaping. No wifi at the sites. Online reservation system antiquated, does not show available dates, around dates that are full. We were able to check in early at 8am. Loop roads are tight, making backing-in tricky. Best place to stay in and around Disney, driving to parks is faster than Disney transportation, park parking free for campers. This is our 4th stay at the Fort. Great park that is clean and each site has it's privacy. Transportation system to the parks is great. Lots to do just in RV park with a trading post in 2 locations with limited supplies. Stayed in 800 loop this trip and the site was easy to get into. Overall Rating:

We have stayed at Fort Wilderness many many times and continue to love it. There are so many things to do and see you can't get bored. We walk and bike around the campground for hours enjoying the wooded setting and talking to other campers. Sites are large, though some loops are small with tight sites though they are near the activities so some positive trade offs. Some of the bus drivers are not friendly, but luckily the others make up for it. One significant change we have seen over the years is Disney allowing campers to park multiple cars at one campsite. This makes for a crowded loop and can be a challenge to maneuver in a big coach. Golf carts are an issue as not all drivers abide by the rules and move over for vehicles, causing safety issues. Disney needs to review the golf cart rules with all golf cart renters as well as those who bring their own golf carts. At $65 a day rental, suggest bringing your bikes or walk, for some great exercise!! We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

For some free fun, take the boat over to the Contemporary, and take the Monorail to visit the high end hotels. From Magic Kingdom, you can take a bus to Boardwalk hotel and walk the boardwalk or rent a surrey bike. One of our favorite things to do it go to Downtown Disney, now called Disney Springs. Lots to do and see. ENJOY!!

Spent 14 nights....40' fifth wheel with slides...loop 800. 'Value' season pricing for premium rv site. This particular loop felt a bit congested. In riding around the huge Ft. Wilderness complex, in hindsight we liked the sites in the higher (1000 and up) numbers as they appeared to have more 'elbow' room between sites and did not to seem quite as crowded. We were just two seniors however, and without children or grandchildren with us, perhaps these sites were farther away from family activity areas. Lots of choices in where to park your rig with over 750 campsites!

We used the internal transport system almost exclusively and after the first day or so, got the hang of it. Traveled by boat, mono rail and bus system....all were clean, timely and convenient. We allowed an hour to basically get anywhere.

One nice thing about our site (837) was that we could see the nitely fireworks at the Magic Kingdom through a nice whole in the trees.

Great campground for all ages. Highly recommend and we would definitely come back if we return to Disney. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We have been camping at WDW since 1996. We have always stayed at FW since it is the only campground on Disney property. You get all of the benefits of being a resort guest.

The campground is very large. Sites are all concrete , very level , well screened from the next site, all paved roads, walking paths / bike trails go all over. We had plenty of room to unhook our 28 ft TT and still park directly in front of the camper without being out in the road.

All sites are on some sort of a loop but we had no trouble getting in or out. There are playgrounds and two trading posts as well as a restaurant.

Boat transportation is avail to go to the Magic Kingdom or to the Wilderness Lodge or the Contemporary Resort. Bus rides take a little longer.

Overall this campground is clean and well run. They were very busy at check in. We had three reservations strung together which caused a little confusion over what site we would get. They ended up putting us on a premium site even though we only paid for a full hookup site so we didn't get moved around.

Highly recommend FW , you will not regret it. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't be afraid to drive to some of the parks. Your resort pass gets you in for free. Animal Kingdom is the farthest park and you will get there quicker by driving. The directional signs on property are very well placed to find your way around.

Love staying at Fort Wilderness, always clean and service is good. Plenty of activities within the Fort and there are obviously the parks. Pool is open til 10PM and they also have the campfire with Chip & Dale each night with a movie. It is higher than most campgrounds, but it is Disney and still cheaper than a hotel on property and I have paid high prices in places in the Northeast that don't come close. Stayed in 1300 Premium loop and really liked the area. Definitely will be back. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This campground is 100% clean and comfortable. Obviously it's Disney geared and not necessarily a true outdoor camping type of excursion... but if you're traveling through FL and you have a child it's definitely worth staying a few nights. The campground itself has more than enough (very controlled) activities to keep children fully entertained... and of course it has access to all of the parks. The campground is pricey and you're in the Disney complex of artificial and controlled entertainment but you have a lot of freedom within the campground to ride bikes, swim and attend the dinner shows and what not. This camping experience may be ideal for beginning youngster campers in so far as they will be hooked... I found navigating the park very difficult simply because the signage is actually pretty sparse... take your provided map with you. The campground has it's own bus system which runs regular too. Only if all campgrounds operated like this place! We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Ride your bike to the Wilderness Lodge for use of their pool and amenities if you're looking for more adventure... you're free to do so. The bike ride is about 15 minutes. One could spend days within the campground and over at the Wilderness Lodge and be fully entertained.

We reserved a premium site in loop 700. On arrival, site was dirty and we had to clean up the trash and blow debris from concrete pad. It's hard to believe that a modern campground like Ft Wilderness doesn't have WiFi available at the site but they don't. Obviously it's a nice campground but not up to what you might expect from Disney. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A little on the expensive side but it is Disney after all. This place is beyond a 10. I could stay there for a long time if I could afford to. What can I say about this campground. We are back again. We have been here several times and it keeps on getting better. This time was our first time during Halloween time. Some of the decorations that some other campers displayed were incredible. Just a joy driving around the campground. In addition, the weekend before Halloween a group of fire fighters rent out a whole loop and do a haunted loop. Very well organized. Highly recommend at this time to go to this campground. It was great.

I was on site 1330 this trip around and it was very pleasant. Water, electric, and sewer worked well. No issues. Surrounded by nice campers all around. Staff was very helpful. Lots of activities can be done at the park as well. Fire works by the beach area, carriage rides, movies under the stars, fire pit lighting, so many things to do. We love this campground. Big park. Golf cart a must to get around at your leisure but the park does offer bus transportation. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
