We had a "Preferred" site in the 100 loop, closest to the marina and Pioneer Hall. The site was well shaded, level, paved far enough to accommodate our 32' MH and our toad SUV. 20/30/50 amp service. Had a problem with TV cable which was quickly corrected by the on-site technician. The campground is very large, sites are well separated, most are well shaded. Sites are quickly and thoroughly cleaned (swept, blown clean, then hosed clean) as soon as they are vacated to make them ready for the next guest. All in all, a very relaxing atmosphere, and the Cast Members (employees) are top notch. Pets allowed in most loops. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Hands down, best park we have ever camped in. Hands down, the most we have ever paid. But, it's Disney and you get all the privileges afforded on-property guests including early entry and free transportation. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. The grounds are gorgeous. We saw deer every day, including a 12 point buck right behind the trailer one night as I set out to walk the dog. The sites are from an era when trailers were smaller, so they too close together and you have to be careful with initial parking. But, there is still plenty of room at each site and the utilities are perfect. The 100 & 200 loops are closest to Trail's End, Crocketts and the boat to Magic Kingdom. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Attend a campfire program at least once, they are so much fun and you get to meet Chip & Dale. The food truck at the campfire has good snacks and adult beverages. Crockett's Tavern is a great place for a drink; they have a nice line-up of flavored moonshine cocktails. We drove to every park except MK. We found it faster coming & going than taking two buses (one to the front, one to the park) and it was free for resort guests.

Outstanding park as far as amenities go. Everything you could ask for. Swimming, fishing, boating, transportation to the parks, shopping, dining, biking, and more. It is beautiful and immaculately kept. The site sizes are TINY! We stayed in one of their Premium sites - the largest they offer. The first site we were assigned was on the end and required us to position ourselves across the main road and then back in at an extreme right angle. No way. They graciously reassigned us to a site that was easier to maneuver into, but STILL ridiculously tight - of course, designed in an era when RVs were not monsters like they are today. Their service was incredible, as my husband had an accident while on property (our fault) and ended up in the hospital for FIVE days! The Disney folks watched over our RV, offered to bring us food, send transportation for us, and helped us with our accommodations and park tickets since we were unable to use them all and ended up having to stay additional days. So, while prices are, indeed, high at Disney - the customer service is outstanding! Would we stay again? Not sure in light of the high prices - but sure glad we did it once! We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful campground with spacious campsites. It was fun to see other campers decorating their sites with Disney themes. We stayed in the 1100 loop. This is a good location as it is centrally located and there is a shuttle stop right there. You can also walk to the nightly campfire, Chip and Dale sing-a-long and movie. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Stay late in the theme parks. Every park has an incredible fireworks show. It is fun to return to the campground at night from Magic Kingdom on the boat. The shuttles are reliable. We did not use a car.

Overall Rating:

We spent three nights at this very wooded campground. Each campsite is separated by dense foliage giving each site privacy. There was a comfort station in each "loop" that we very conveniently located. The restrooms were very clean. I stuck my head into the showers to inspect also! Also clean. The 'Mickey' wristband prevents outsiders from entry to the comfort station. Ice is available at each comfort station via a credit card actuated machine. Ample small cooler full for $2.00 The campground is very large. We recommend a golf cart to get around. We rented a golf cart to travel between our site and the bus station/boat launch, restaurants and camp stores (we saw two). Plenty of paved roadway for my bicycle rides. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

For those whom do not have a tow vehicle - There is an awesome restaurant (Trails End Restaurant) with buffet including a full bar (Crockett's Tavern) at the boat launch area. This allowed us to stay in the campground for our entire stay. There are two (2) camp stores (trading posts) in the campground and we were able to grab souvenirs and English muffins without leaving the park. The Disney parks are easily accessible by boat or bus so no need to drive your vehicle to the parks.

Ft Wilderness sets the bar high and frankly is the "best ever" for any type of RV Park type camping. Everything clean always. You will always feel safe and secure and in a family setting. The only thing negative you will ever see is an occasional "knuckle head" doing something stupid on a golf cart. The Disney Rangers will stop it quickly. Power and plumbing is always perfect. Cleanliness is always at a high level. In my opinion, a golf cart is a necessity at Ft Wildernesss. The 700 plus acres cannot be fully appreciated without transportation inside the grounds. Step up and rent a cart for the full Disney effect. The only "down side" to your visit will be when you receive you credit card statement. A little pricey but Disney products are famous for that. If you go during peak holidays like Halloween or Christmas, expect spots to be scarce and you will need to book early. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Disney's camping property has a great restaurant in the camp grounds (Trails End ). If you are looking for a "Watering Hole". (Crockett's Tavern) is a great place for adult beverages and hot snacks. Snacks are also available at the main pool and a food truck with great sandwiches near the campfire party every evening. The food truck is a new favorite. For a dinner show, you can reserve at the Hoop-dee-doo revue. Disney choices abound only a short free ride away.

Wow. The site was really, really hard to back into, had to ask the neighbor across the way to move his truck or it was not going to fit. But a great way to meet a great neighbor! The lot was super clean on arrival, they have their own hoses in place for staff to blow off and rinse off the pads after each use. When you arrive its spotless. The lot was a bit small, I mean the area to move around and enjoy, but the space between each unit was overwhelming. Real rustic feel. Not crazy about the swamp pond behind us but some people might like it. Allergy suffers ask for one without. Facilities were amazing, from the bus stops to the bike paths to the pools. First class. Fireworks were absolutely amazing, each nite! Shop around and get a better price, we were on demand shopping so paid a bit more! Careful with the Disney bands, you can spend a fortune, we did :) We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

So, I am not a real Disney fan, but my grandaughters are. We tried FW a year ago by renting a cabin for the night. I loved it. We had a pool all to ourselves and the Disney stress just melted away. This year I dragged the TT to FW for a week in the campgrounds. This has to be the most perfect campground in the country. There was never a stick out of place, a loud neighbor or a messy bathroom. Trash receptacles in our loop (900) were between sites and it seemed that every time I used it, it was empty, yet I never saw anyone empty it. We needed an early check-in to pick up one of the girls at the airport. They could not have been more accomodating. Still not a real Disney fan, but I'd pay $100 to stay here even if it wasn't connected to Disney. While I heard that sites were small and challenging to settle into, we didn't find that to be the case. With the curves in the loops, you couldn't see more than 2-3 trailers at a time. Site was a bit of a challenge on its angle, but I haven't been towing/ backing up for too long, so that's probably on me. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

What else is there to say it is Disney. You are not going to be able to stay on a Disney resort for a better price. The pools are amazing and the food is better. Do yourself a favor and rent a golf cart the best thing to do in spare time is loop all the sites to check out the campground. Easy to drive cart to diner, bus or boat to any Disney park. I have stayed in 1100 loop and 1200 loop which are premium sites and loved them both. Make sure you check out all the campground has to offer. We always save 2 days just for time at the campground and no parks. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Was in the area for a conference. This is expensive for a campground, but in the context of the location, it was a very good value. It had fantastic amenities, but due to work commitments, we didn't have much chance to take advantage of them. No open fire. Propane or covered pits OK. Used Lyft to get me to the Hilton where the workshop was and that worked quite well. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Spent 4 nights at Fort Wilderness Campsites. We were in the Premium area - site 504. Campground was full over the weekend, but maybe 2/3 full during the week. Transportation was easy within the Campground and to the Theme Parks. We had good OTA reception and cable was also provided. Cell phones worked fine and there was also WIFI in the Campground. It rained a bunch when we were there, so we did not get out much - but it was fun each evening to walk down to the boat launch and watch the fireworks over the Magic Kingdom. All personnel were super friendly and helpful. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

This is hands down one of my top 3 RV parks ever. It camping Disney style. My only complaint is that the table we had in the patio area has seen better days, its time to replace it and as others have noted its expensive. We will definitely be back. Stayed in a premium site in the 1300 loop. As all have stated, it is a little tight for big rigs. We have 38' 5th wheel with crew cab pick-up and managed to back in without much problem. The site itself was flat, clean and as nice as expected at Disney. The Disney transportation throughout the campground and to the parks was excellent and convenient. Although it is a little expensive for camping, it seems worth it for being inside Disney property and getting the advantages that come with it.
