This is an Encore park, so zero cost for our TT plan. Glad of that as we would be unhappy if the was costing us. Roads all blacktop, but some tight turns. Site numbers start at one and stop a 591. While driving around, I am guessing that there are 30 (??) sites for RV's. Those are all back-ins, and in one area. We are (not in that area) in between a single wide mobile home and the bathrooms & dumpster. Have not visited the bathrooms, but there are folks cleaning every day. I am surprised that many of the permanent residents use the bath house. Just about every mobile home has a carport. Took me 30 minutes to back into my site (with the help of worker and two residents). Very tight to put a 40' into designated site. I carry a second fresh water hose, as the 25' did not make it to the water spicket, shared with another mobile-home. The good news is that the over/air was good (ABC,NBC,CBS). Tampa towers not far. Long term residents can have Spectrum cable hooked up. Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, beer and liquor stores close. Plenty of restaurants on the main Hwy (Route 19). Route 19 has heavy traffic in the morning and afternoon. Nice pool and club house. Here during an 8 day heat wave, as daily temps above 80, up to 85 and humid. Plenty of 50 amp, as A/C's ran all day. Met many friendly neighbors. Parked car on side of MH, just enough room. - Long Island Mac
Nov 2018 - $28.00
Friendly personnel, paved sites with a bit of grass and trees, close to others but private, paved roads, laundry sites close by, pool and billiards, group activities available. Close to nice beaches. Grocery store one block away. Greek restaurants! - Bwest

The park has a lot of full timers and office staff is rarely there for working people's hours.
Manager treats some residents with no respect.
Sites are very unlevel and electricity shuts down due to overload on a very old infrastructure along with only a row or two having 50 amps.
Asphalt is is need of replacement in pad areas and concrete patios are a trip hazard on most sites.
Ants and bugs along with limbs that need to trimmed are an everyday issue.
I have dealt with this park due to job locations for the past 3 years and it needs new management that has respect for park residents that pay the bills.
You have to rake and bag your own site.
If you get put in the field, it's overrun with stickers and ants.
Trash bins are overflowing most of the time. - sar1966
Sep 2016 - $15.00
We have stayed here several times, over the years...usually during the off season, so the rates are less, and the park isn't crowded. This rate is the off season, monthly rate. The staff have always been very friendly, and accommodating. The recreation room, pool, laundry facilities, showers and bathrooms have always been clean, well maintained, and in excellent condition. All the sites we have used had picnic tables, concrete patios, and were level. The sites are fairly close together, but not so close as to be a problem. There is a large no smoking section, which is nice. We will be back. - cliffw42

Employees are very nice and helpful. Park is clean, as is the pool and clubhouse. Very convenient to the beaches, shopping and our family. Have stayed here several times. - Travelin' partners

Needed a place to stay while attending a class for a week. The rate reflects a weekly rate plus 1 night. This is mostly a 55+/snowbird place with some RV sites, but was in close proximity to my class. It is not a camping" place. By and large there are a lot more mobile homes or park models. Having said that, it served my purpose well and was a nice place to stay. It was very clean and quiet. It's right at the end of season, but it appeared like there were a lot of activities during the season. Check-in was friendly, easy, and efficient. There is a security gate, and the park is close to shopping/restaurants. Now...the RV sites. Our 50 amp/FHU pull-thru site wasn't really a pull-thru. If your rig will turn on a dime, you can pull straight through. We had to back in, but will be able to hook up the toad and "pull out". The sites are close together. The WiFi is only at the rec hall/office, otherwise you'll need to pay for Tengo if you don't have your own. The cable TV was awful, so we used our OTA. We were able to get plenty of channels. Our site was gravel, and we needed to place boards under the jacks to keep them from sinking. However, we had no trouble levelling. There is a nice dog park and also plenty of space to walk the dog. We would return if in the area and need a site. - Gayle E.
Mar 2017 - $40.00
We stayed one week paying $278 weekly rate. The reservation process was easy. They collected 100% at time of reservation (certainly not my preference). The check-in process was efficient. We requested a pull-thru site at time of reservation and that's what we received. The pull-thru section is close to the busy hwy with plenty of noise from trucks, motorcycles, etc. The pull-thru sites are very close. We could not put out our awning. The rectangular spot to park your rig is rocky gravel while the area where you walk and park your tow car is dirt with dead/alive grass/straw which tracks into your rv. Putting out a mat will help but not completely. In hind sight (because we stayed a week rather than a couple of days), we would have preferred a back-in site "inside" the park (quieter, less dirt, more space). However, I can fully imagine some interior sites difficult to get in due to narrow roads. The facilities are clean. The dog park is very large. They have single-stream recycling which is great. The residents seem pleasant enough but keep to themselves. The surrounding neighborhood isn't the best. I would not run outside the complex by myself so I did loops inside the park (approx .65 mi per loop). About a quarter mile down the road, we witnessed a police altercation in broad daylight. An apparent druggie pushed a cop. The cop had the druggie face down and handcuffed in a nano second. It confirmed my instinct about the area. I should mention the park is gated and we saw nothing sketchy within. There is wifi at the common facilities but we didn't use it. No wifi offered at the site. Hook-ups worked well. We had good signal for Verizon cell, Sprint Mifi and DirecTV. My personal take - I didn't care for Largo and I didn't love the campground. If you stay long-term, it's probably a better experience. To me, there's a gazillion lovely (better) places in Florida to choose from. I won't be going back. - GottaGoNow
Mar 2017 - $40.00
Beware! Made a reservation for a pull-thru site & after checking in & running my credit card for the balance due for a two night stay, I was informed that a pull thru site was not available & sites are not guaranteed by "Sun Resorts", and pull-thru sites were for large rigs only - our coach is 40 ft. The back in site we were given was not available due to a tree being removed, so we took a walk around the park & found a small van camper in a pull-thru site. Went back to the office & complained& basically was told too bad. When the back in site was finally available, it took us 20 minutes to get in the site. Our neighbor needed to move his car, because we had to drive over half his site to make the turn into our site because the road was so narrow. Also our neighbor across from us had to move her lawn ornaments. Tire tracks indicated this needs to be done all the time. If you are going to stay for the season, I guess this hassel may be worth it to you, the facilities looked ok, we didn't use any. But if you're only staying a few nights & want a pull-thru sites, stay somewhere else. This is a definite "bait & switch " operation. - TravelingBaggs

RV section roads are rough. Low hanging branches. Park is old. Manager is trying to fix it up. There are a lot of working class and old people who live here year round. The people who live here year round are OK. They take over the pool and clubhouse on the weekends. Pool was greasy from suntan lotion. - Travelin' partners
Jan 2011 - $35.00
There wasn't much of an area for a dog walk, and other people didn't pick up after their pets. The sites are tight and close together, making it difficult to get into your site. Restrooms and laundry room could be cleaner! The Front office staff was nice but could be a little more personable and smile more. The lady who cleans, needs to deep clean more often! The pool was not working properly in the 3 months we were here. Long term people had to rake and bag there own leaves to have a nice yard. The trees are over grown, blocks satellite service. Disorganized reservations: when we arrived our site was taken by someone else, no one around to help us. - stonewood1
Jan 2009 - $40.00
Sites are small, buildings are old & in need of replacing (not repair). Security is non-existent, with no weekend office hours. Pot holes can swallow an RV. More damage was done inside my RV driving in the park than in 6000 miles to South Dakota & back! - postaldaddy212

Jan 2017 - $50.00
Worst camp ground I have stayed at in the last 20 years. Site was so small, I could not fit between sewage hookup and concrete patio. I could not put out any of the slide-outs. Tree branches scratched the sides of the coach. Lots of branches rubbed roof too. No grass at all on the site. Young men on motorcycles driving around park most of the night. Lady in a 40 year old park model next to our site played music ALL NIGHT and load enough to hear it in our coach. we didn't sleep much so we just got up at 7 am and went home. - Mike And Jan

The new manager is fabulous! Park is quiet and everyone seems great. Close to everything! Halloween party tomorrow. Coffee and donuts every Thursday. Great group of residents! Safe, secure and very clean! Mins to the beach...and bike to causeway for fishing and sunset picnics. - Toby Beavers
Sep 2013 - $27.00
This is not really a campground, but an older trailer park with permanent and seasonal residents. They have a few sites available for short term stays. It is a quiet park (sign says for over age 55). Most sites are nicely shaded by the oaks and mature landscaping. The gulf beach is 2.5 miles over the causeway. Manager was very friendly and helpful. There were 2 restrooms with shower (1 men, 1 women) - no paper products supplied; we had to bring our own toilet paper. There is a large laundry area and community room. No picnic tables on RV sites. It was fine for a night, but I wouldn't want to stay much longer. - On the Road again 11

Jul 2018 - $23.00
The good, the bad and the ugly. It is very old. This is not a RV park. It's a trailer park from the sixties. When the old trailers fall apart they pull them out and set up an "RV site". It's very clean and well maintained but difficult to get around in. We have a 38' fifth wheel and would never stay here again. The owner is very nice but not so much for the two ladies who work for him. They refused to accept a package for us and made the fed-ex guy come to our site. WiFi is a bit better than dial up. The sewer hookup is behind our trailer. We had to buy extension to hook up. Pool and hot tub are nice and clean. Barely enough room to park. Awkward. Need to leave tailgate down to get off the street. One female worker abusive and challenging about being in the road. If you have a smaller rig and don't need wifi, it might be OK. - Big Al 49
May 2017 - $2.00
We stored our unit at this park for several years. Older residential type park but extremely clean, well managed and friendly. - Scenic Cruiser
Apr 2012 - $34.00
This urban, over-55 park is primarily for seasonal residents in permanent park model type trailers but they do have some narrow short term sites with neighbors close on both sides. Our price represents a AAA discount, and is very reasonable for the location. There are very few choices in this area, but this park works well for us because it is central for visiting family. Unfortunately there is major construction underway on Ulmerton Road in front of the park, noisy at night. Newly renovated pool area gets a lot of use. There are several bathroom-shower combos, and washer-dryers. Management is well-organized and park is well maintained. Will return. - NC Writer

Lock your bikes and cars at night. Not a controlled park, anyone can drive through it. Good location near food stores and beach is 2 miles from there. Not kid friendly, no toys for children and high traffic. Great seasonal rates. Close to great activities. No pets allowed. Nice people live there full time. - Shi Ben

Lock your bikes and cars at night only. Very quiet park. Not kid friendly. Must call ahead. M-F, 8 -4. Sat. Sun. ? No pets, tents, pop up campers. Quiet time 10 - 8. - Shi Ben
May 2014 - $40.00
The park is an older one filled primarily with park model homes and maybe 40-50 spots for RVs. Only a few of the RV sites have 50 amp electric service. We were in a 30 amp site, and the voltage routinely dropped to 110 and occasionally even 105. The laundry has a sufficient number of machines; each at a cost of $1.50. The laundry building, like the office and meeting/events hall are old and could use a lot of updating. The park is managed by a father and son both of whom we felt were not as friendly as any of the hundreds of park owners and managers we have met in over 8 years of full timing. The park is next door to a shopping center with a grocery store and a lot of retail shops including a thrift store. There are a couple of restaurants as well so it is all very handy. We could walk through the back gate of the park and do grocery shopping easily. Before we made our reservation we asked if there was any prohibition against washing our coach and we were told that is not a problem. When we arrived we were given a copy of the park rules and there was indeed such a prohibition. There is a prohibition against using electric heaters of any kind. Do not ask the park to have their propane supplier stop by and fill your tank. We did and were charged $5.50/gal at a time when LP was being sold at Flying J for $3.50/gal. Bottom line is; the park is nice, safe and the people who live here or return every year as snowbirds are the only true asset. Management does nothing of value that we saw and this view was shared by others we talked with. Would we stay here again if ever in the area? No. Customer service and attitude is the worst we have ever experienced in 8 years on the road. - User422

This is a snowbird park with lots of activities every day. Texas hold'em poker a couple nights a week. This is 1 of the friendliest parks we have been in. Nice sites. Mail boxes available for those staying a month or more. We stayed for 2 months and really enjoyed ourselves. Mostly seniors in park. Weather was so nice so great getaway from the North! - User2277
Oct 2013 - $34.00
I can't say that I agree with their web site when it says "A premier RV resort located in the heart of Florida", as it's actually quite a tired campground just off US 19, mostly occupied with old trailers and park homes. They DO keep it tidy though and it has a big recreation room with lots of activities over the winter season. The pool is small and quiet but suited me fine and the restrooms opposite my site/by the pool were okay and clean but very dated and worn. - Leo Millward

I have lived here for almost 4 years and have been an excellent tenant, paid my rent on time and even ahead of time, maintained my site and made it look very attractive with fencing, flowers, etc. I had given my notice that I was going to move about 6 weeks ago although I wasn't sure if my job up North was going to last so I'd like the opportunity to return within 5 or 6 months if it didn't work out. The manager of the park told me that it was "policy" that I could "reserve" my site until September for a nominal fee as many other residents have done in the past. I thought that was very agreeable and proceeded to move my RV to another resort closer to my job. This weekend I returned to move some of my other belongings and straighten up the site so it looked presentable when the Manager and the Park Maintenance man came to my site and told me that I was to vacate IMMEDIATELY or they would start "the eviction process" for NO REASON!! This truly is the straw that encouraged me to write this review. During the past 4 years as a great tenant, over and over again the Management has contradicted what they say verbally a few days or weeks prior and then make up their OWN RULES as they wish. If they want you to move because they have a "more desirable" tenant in mind or want the site for themselves, then they just find an "excuse" to have you move, evicted or shunned from the park. I just want others to know that this IS NOT A PARK I WOULD RECOMMEND for LONG TERM tenancy. I'm sure you would experience the same that I have if you choose to live here! - One VG Couple
Feb 2017 - $27.00
Nice , quiet RV park. Sites weren't too bad compared to several that we saw. Staff was friendly and very visible throughout our stay. Pool was clean and warm. Hot tub was also on property but we didn't use it. Wi-Fi was available in hot spots up near the laundry and rec room. - Bompa1954
Jan 2012 - $40.00
Very nice park. Owners extremely accommodating. We were able to get a spot at the height of their busy season. W/E/S easy to get to and worked beautifully. We were right across from pool and hot tub/spa. Our site was very long, but extremely narrow. Could not open our window awning on our LR slide without hitting neighbor. Could only open full awning if site next to us was empty. Less than 5 feet of walking space between sites. Nice laundry facilities, heated pool, spa, bocce courts, deck shuffleboard and paved roads for bike riding. Very convenient to shopping, attractions, beaches, restaurants. Except for proximity of sites, it's a nice park. Would stay again if just for a few nights. - usamacdonald2
