The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Always cleaning and does a great job, always doing yard work, and helping wherever they're needed, putting new siding on trailers or building something to make the park look better. Bands most weekends, heated pool. What more can you ask for... - DN136
Feb 2016 - $38.00
The owners/staff could not have been more accommodating. This is an old park and many of the spaces are now permanent, older trailers, but the owners keep them looking nice. Many of the lots are on the small side but the park is quiet so the closeness is not much of a problem.
Most of the residents are winter snowbirds who have been coming there for years. Everyone is very friendly.
This is a dog friendly park which has two large dog runs.
We had no occasion to use the bathroom since our motorhome is self contained. - K9 camper
Feb 2015 - $25.00
We were assigned a site very close to the road. Site had no picnic table and was very small. Road noise was tolerable. This park is filled with long term units and residents. The bathrooms were dated. One shower had a curtain with mold three inches up from the bottom. Obviously should have been replaced months ago! - Wyboo
Apr 2018 - $1.00
Great location. We will stay here again - and often. The park itself is a bit tight but very adequate. The management is excellent and the park well kept. We would have stayed longer and will next time. It's a great base camp to visit Fort Myers. The road is narrow but adequate. You are escorted to your site. No problems. - The Penguin
Feb 2018 - $1.00
This place had the tiniest spots and we were right next to the dog walk and that sucked because you could smell the dog urine. The dog walk only led to an open field. The laundry was really expensive. The bathhouse was dirty and needed to be updated. - TravelinFam
Jan 2017 - $24.00
Nice enough place near beach and popular islands with friendly people. However, it is extremely tight for big rigs. They escorted us to our site and then started the process of making everyone move their vehicles (this was repeated upon leaving). Level grass full h/up 50 amp back in sites. Pool and most amenities. Free wifi ONLY at lodge, you can purchase for yor site if you choose. Cable okay and cell phones great. Trolley from in front of property. - teepee51
Oct 2019 - $60.00
Beautiful new park, very large sites (brick pavers and grass) overlooking a 22 acre pond. Gorgeous club house, gym, laundry room and pool. Very large dog park w/grass and shade. The sites are available for purchase (we haven't seen lots this size anywhere else in southern Florida). Management was wonderful to work with. This development was designed for Big Rigs, plenty of space to move around. - Chris Anderson
May 2019 - $60.00
Very clean class A park. Large paved lots overlooking a lake. an awesome pool and patio area. Many amenities pickle ball, fitness room, hot tub and most important to me was the large fenced in area for dog parks . One for small dogs and the other for the larger dogs. I would definitely recommend this park. 10 miles down the road, major stores and restaurants. - Dale S Barrett
May 2019 - $100.00
RiverBend is 17 miles east of I-75 in Fort Myers in the little town of LaBelle. Roads throughout the resort are paved and wide and each site is roomy with a concrete or paver pad. There is a staging area in the front of the resort for removing the car or trailer. Pads are level and utilities are mid site of the pad. Power and water pressure good. They are in the process of installing high speed Wi-Fi at each site which will be up and fully operational late summer. Satellite reception good and OTA good. Verizon signal two to three bars in our location. We have traveled across most of the country in our motorhome and can honestly say this is the nicest location at which we have stayed. One reason is that the sites are nicely spaced with lots of private space, and the other is the residents who reside there. During peak season there are endless activities and really friendly folks all around. They have a pool and club house, a lovely clubhouse by the river, and an activity center for crafts as well as their welcome center A really spectacular spot. Will definitely return. - LvR
Apr 2019 - $100.00
This campground feels like an upscale neighborhood. Manicured landscaping and beautiful sites with many beautiful lake views. very private. If I lived up north and wanted to spend a month or two in Florida I would buy a lot there. So many activities and friendly people. The realtor and is such a nice guy. - golfnut788
Feb 2019 - $130.00
This is absolutely the best Motorcoach Resort we have stayed at!! We were so impressed by the grounds and the meticulous details (scrubing the curbs and wiping down the street lights) Once you arrive you don't want to leave! We were renters but were welcomed from the time we arrived. It is really a community of owners and renters that all pitch in to make this place very special. Their are activities that begin at 8:00 and some days go until.... Sunset on the Caloosahatchee River is breathtaking! The facilities are top notch! They have a big beautiful club house that has an activity room, library, pool room and bar. The swimming pool is very large and also has a nice clubhouse with kitchen, workout area, laundry, showers. Around the pool are two hot tubs as well as shuffleboard, putting green, picnic facility. The owners have also added a race track with miniature cars, their own miniature railroad, and on Wednesdays you can watch miniature sailboat races. Pickleball Courts are top notch as well. The resort is just 20 minutes from I75 and very easy to access. The small town of LaBelle is 10 minutes and a new Walmart is 5 minutes away. Although it seems you are out in the country everything was still very convenient. We did venture into Ft. Myers which is about 40 minutes for dinner a couple of times but after experiencing the traffic we actually couldn't wait to get back to the quiet of the resort. We stayed here for 6 weeks and loved every minute of it! Can't wait to go back next winter!!!! - Susan Davis
May 2019 - $15.00
Interagency 50% discount rate for two nights. Site was a large, level, paved back-in site with on-site water and 50 amp service. Each site has a covered picnic table. A dump station is available in the park. We had good satellite reception and good Verizon cell and data reception. This is a very nice COE park that is convenient to Ft Myers. It is very quiet at night. We have stayed here several times and would stay here again. - Dave51
Apr 2019 - $30.00
With the exception of one site, they are open, wide, deep & easy to maneuver into. W & E only with easy access to dump station. Friendly staff, covered picnic tables, 2 pavilions & located on the Caloosahache River. We will definitely return. - Rimdel
Jan 2019 - $15.00
This is the best rv park we have ever stayed in. The space between sites, the manicured grounds, beautiful views , concrete pads... The list goes on. The campground is a super nice size of 30 sites and all but a few are on the water. The camp hosts were not only friendly but very efficient. - KatChuck
Mar 2017 - $33.00
We stopped here overnight, its about 20 min from Ft Myers Fl. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Looks like a nice snowbird campground without all the bells and whistles of the high dollar resorts in the area. There is no shade in the campground. Full hook ups but the water has a smell. Campground is on the grounds of a nice church retreat and borders the Caloosahatchee River. - Psi500
Feb 2015 - $23.00
We swung by looking for a future campground. It was very promising with a well wooded entrance. We stopped at the office to get literature, the keeper talked to us, she was very nice, we got permission to go to the RV park and take a look. We drove through nice woods and came out to the RV park and there it was, a loop on the open plains, no trees, and the motor homes sardined in full sun with no trees or brush. I was so disappointed we just left. For those that don't mind, the inexpensive rate may be fine. - drsolo
Mar 2011 - $23.00
Riverside Retreat has a campground/RV park open to all. Also hosting a camp for churches, organizations, schools, etc. the campground/RV park is separate from that camp area. Situated on the Caloosahatchee River, Riverside Retreat's motto is, "It's the Nature of the Place." It is a quiet park in a natural setting. You may spy gopher tortoises, bobcats, or armadillos on any of the hiking paths. Canoe or kayak the Caloosahatchee. The roads and sites are not paved, but it is a full hook-up campground with a friendly staff. We highly recommend this little gem of a campground. We visit every winter. - Dawn1955
Jan 2018 - $50.00
We stayed here in 2008 and were very satisfied with the accommodations... After recently getting back Into the RV world with the purchase of a new motorhome, we decided to come here for the snowbird season and we are so happy with our experience that we are looking to purchase a lot. As others have said, EVERY lot is full hookup with 50A and MOST lots are big rig friendly. There are two gates, the first gate allows you entry to the welcome center and laundry facility and then the second gate allows entry to the park. I HIGHLY recommend that you search the park website and rent directly from a lot owner. There is a drop down menu at the top, where you can select to see a listing of rental lots. This listing includes the name, email and phone numbers of owners as well as the dates their lot is available. We rented a lot on the lake in a cul-de-sac and I must tell you that the very first night we arrived, we were greeted by several of our neighbors who are indeed owners themselves.... Earlier reviews mentioned that this park was snooty and that the owners were stand offish and we have been here several weeks and can attest that we have been treated just like we belong. There is an activity coordinator who arranges events in the Town Center. Just this week they had health fair with local vendors and this past Wednesday they have two food trucks. They have Monday morning coffees that serve as a meet and greet.... Lake front sites are pull ins for motor homes, which gives you an awesome lake view. Definitely visit the owner's website to rent units.... Much easier and more convenient. All in all, this is one of the best places we've ever stayed..... - vbrebel
Feb 2016 - $72.00
This is about as good as it gets for RV resorts. Most, if not all, sites are owned by individuals. If you can rent from an owner, your cost would be about $40-50 a night. Through the resort, it is pricy (weekly rate $500). Sites are paved, back-in (with a few pull ins facing the lakes), nicely landscaped, and very wide and long. Electricity, water, and sewer were all in good condition. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Many owners and other residents volunteer to be gate greeters, opening the gates for new arrivals. We used our Verizon MiFi for internet. Cable TV available through the cable company. A nice book exchange is located in the laundry room. - DiplomatTraveler
Jan 2016 - $40.00
We chose Cypress Woods as it was very convenient to Northtrail RV center and we were shopping. That said, if we ever wanted to stay in the area again for any reason, Cypress Woods would be high on the list.
The park is very well kept, very well landscaped and the facilities are top notch. As it happens we knew people that own a lot there and we were included in a "burger bash" that took place while we were there. We found the people, almost all owners, very friendly, as was the staff.
As at least one other has already mentioned, it was difficult to reach anyone at the office to make and then confirm our reservation. At the time (November 2015) it seems they had just one lady with apparently too many responsibilities handling reservations. Once we did get ahold of her she was very nice and very accomodating.
There's a variety of site types, but most are heavily landscaped and very attractive. Some are on water, most are not. - JMonroe
Jun 2019 - $57.00
We stayed here for two nights while getting service nearby. I called the office to make reservations and inquire about any discounts, but never received a call back. I eventually made our reservation online as this was the closest RV park to our service provider. We were met at the gate and led to our site by a very nice work camper. The site was a pull in on the smaller of the two lakes and was easy to pull in to. There was no WIFI at the site as advertised. Apparently you have to get a modem from the office. This information was not relayed to us so we did without WIFI. There was cable at the site, but we used our satellite. The roads are all asphalt and the sites are all concreted or paved. The park is nicely laid out with side walks making the roads a bit wider. This is off season so the park was very quiet. We did hear the highway in the morning and afternoons for rush hour. When leaving there was no place to hook up our two vehicle so we hooked up on the road we were on. Very easy to navigate backing out of our lot, hooking up, and navigating to exit the park. - SillyAnn
May 2019 - $67.00
Great resort. Beautiful back in site on a small lake. We were escorted to our site with good back assist. Management was accommodating. Pool was great, neighbors friendly creating an overall fun atmosphere. We will return. - Russ60
Apr 2019 - $56.00
We stayed at Cypress Trail from mid-December 2018 through mid-May 2019. This is by-far the best RV resort we found in the Fort Myers area and we were very satisfied with our stay. Our lot was across the street from the smaller of the 2 lakes and was very quiet. The people running Cypress Trail were very friendly as were everyone else who stayed there. Many of the lots are owned and the owners included us in their activities. We walked, biked, played pickleball, used the pool, went to Spring Training games and enjoyed many activities. The internet speed is great, but you must bring your own router. We spent many days traveling north and south of Fort Myers and ended each day relaxing at the fifth wheel. The resort is immaculate and well maintained. We did not have any issues during our 5 months there and highly recommend it. We did confirm the monthly rate is going up to $2,500 per month over the winter, so check this if you are looking to make a reservation. We made many new friends, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return. - Wagging Trails
Dec 2017 - $43.00
We stayed here last year and again this year. What a charming place! The staff is very welcoming, as is nearly everyone in the park. This is mainly a co-op with mobile homes and park models, but another area for RV's. Some sites are on the water. Some pull throughs as well as back-ins. Everything is well maintained and sites are large enough that you don't feel crowded. No issues with water, electric or sewer. They provide a bin for recycling, if you are going to be there a week or longer. Good paved interior roads and large cement patio. No picnic tables. No fires permitted. Cable not included. Considering what the winter rates are in this area, this is a very good value. Hoping to be able to stay longer next time we visit the area! - Vicki K
Nov 2016 - $63.00
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, we asked for a pull through site at the last minute and they found one without making a fuss. It was wonderful! It's a large over 55 park, mostly park models, with a section for RVs. Paved roads, and gravel parking area, with a concrete patio that ran almost the whole length of the rig. Good WiFi. No real shade, but it was fine with us, as we used the satellite for TV. There is no cable. Good electric/sewer/water hookups. We would stay here again without hesitation. - Vicki K
Apr 2016 - $17.00
We stayed here on the Passport America weekly rate of $120. This is south Florida at the end of the snowbird season. The rate is only good for a one week stay. We stayed here to be near North Trail RV in order to do an RV inspection for a client. Things got pushed back so we had to stay here two weeks. The park manager honored the PA rate for the second week! Awesome customer service!! This RV park is located at the back of the park in its own area. Dogs are allowed in the park area but not anywhere else. The rest of the place is park models. The sites are nice, rocks and shells with a big concrete patio. The rest is well-maintained grass. The park is nice. We will return if we have need to be in this area. - Howard Jaros
Oct 2019 - $30.00
Me and my wife stayed here in October with our 44 foot motor coach. Nothing but good news. East to get to from Interstate. Entrance recently paved. Office folks are friendly. We stayed at one of the premium sites which are all paved. Very level. Nice cement patio area. Spacing between sites are good. They pick up garbage every morning. Nice pool area. Nice laundry. They have recycle bins. Lots of games like tennis and horse shoes. Short walk to river and boat ramp. No road noise. Overall we will come back to this campground. Dream Big, Travel Far, Live Well... - James Frazier
Apr 2019 - $68.00
Contacted office prior to arrival and staff was helpful/friendly. We were given the military rate which is 2o% off an 88$ rate. We were coming from Lee Civic center which was about 1.5 miles away and they allowed us to be on site prior to 11:00 on a Sunday. Must have waited for us as office is typically closed on Sunday. They guided me to our site. I asked for a pull through and site was sufficient for my 24' M/H and tow attached. We overlooked canal channel. I went looking for dog park which was listed on map, however told by resident that park has been eliminated for parking. They also have built an additional 57 (I think) new sites in front of pool area (and have been told they are spoken for already..in open and near road). Park is close to I-75 and many attractions. If I owned a boat and wanted access to bigger waters, this is the park. Each park model on the canal has a dock. I imagine in full snowbird season this place will be full. - ownedafew
Nov 2017 - $60.00
We stayed here from Nov. To Feb. Enjoyed the great friendly environment and lots of activities. Great warm pools! Boat club lets you access rides on other campers' boats to eat at waterfront restaurants in the area. As well, there is a captain who will take you out deep sea fishing for a nominal fee. Local restaurant is very popular with everyone (you could walk there). We hope to come back next year. - George2004
