Water/50A/sewer all good. Concrete pad for RV and patio. Pretty tight, but an employee will spot you in, so your spouse won't get yelled at. Pretty quiet - right next to the marina, and pretty much the only noise was the forklift for the dry-storage boats. Park your TOAD 50 yards away in parking lot. Playground for the kids (Astro-Turf), beach with shallow swimming area. Paddle-boats and stand-up paddle-boards were only $15/day. Picnic shelters/tables, each with a grill - no reservations needed. Pretty easy in and out - about half a mile south of US98. - jtids
Nov 2017 - $18.00
We stayed at the off base facility. It isn't the greatest RV park but it meet our needs, close to the beach, family, and cost. Host were very friendly and assisted us when needed. The laundry room is convenient and inexpensive. - ranic59
Apr 2015 - $19.00
We stayed at the south side campground off base and are glad we did. We stopped by the north side on base and it is much more crowded and harder to navigate through. The south side is completely wide open, but no shade at all. The roads are all gravel, but the sites are concrete and nicely sized and angled, making it very easy to back in. The rest of the park is grass and sand with lots of sand burs, which drove the dogs nuts. Wifi was not reliable at all and the washers did not agitate so our clothes did not come clean. We had to use a coin laundry down the road to re-wash the clothes. The campground is perfectly located to Panama City and all it has to offer and during Spring Break the price cannot be beat. We would return. - pfogleboch

We have been at this park about 4 or 5 times over the past 9 years. We always enjoyed coming here. The sites are a good size. They are set up so backing in is not a back-in driving test. Pools are heated. Sites are clean. Garbage is picked up 2x a day. The resort is conveniently located close to stores/restaurants and attractions. However we noticed a difference this time when we were there. Things are changed. The resort has been taken over by Roberts Resorts and the changes are subtle, but there. The first thing we noticed was that the street signs were changed to ordinary signs. The signs used to be fish cutouts made my campers at the park. It is no big deal, but the character of the place is gone. This is most likely the last time we will stay here for a month. - User2327
Jul 2018 - $83.00
Pet friendly facility and dog doo-doo stations strategically placed. Mature trees provide shade to many sites. Fast WiFi. Level concrete site. Landscaping for privacy between sites but very close to our neighbors. Full hookups that were easily accessed including cable. Nice size pool and common area patio and hot tub. Secure feeling because entire site surrounded by privacy fence. A zoo bordered one side of the property. Wide concrete roadways allowed easy big rig turning. Convenient to Grand Lagoon and restaurants/arcades, ten minutes from the beach and ten minutes from Walmart and Harley-Davidson shop. - SteveDahl
Jun 2018 - $85.00
It seems this park has recently become part of a larger company. Service has dropped slightly from previous visits. For example - no longer free donuts and rolls in morning. Very nice site with shade. The location is close to a lot of attractions. One of the nicest parks we have stayed - clean, a lot of activities, great dog park and two fishing ponds. We were in site 21 towards the front with a 31' TT for 4 nights. Concrete site w/ picnic table. Our site backed up to Zoo. First night we heard elephant, otherwise, very quiet. Great for travel with an active dog. Lots of shaded area to walk around one of ponds. - Kayak54

We stayed in site 164 in the Pine loop. The sites in that loop are rather tight though there is some buffer. Backing in took a bit and the back of our 24' trailer was up against the brush at the back of the site. Bigger rigs should stick to Lag loop. Since school was out, the park was nearly full. Lot of people and kids but, no excessive noise. The park is popular with the locals so the beaches were busy but not overcrowded. ReserveAmerica listed the site as 50A but the box was 30A. I doubt anything that could fit in that site would require 50A so that's not an issue really. Bathhouse showed some age but was clean with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The dump station was accessible, but given the difficulty getting in and out of the site, was an on-the-way-out only sort of a thing. - M A Wilson
Jun 2018 - $28.00
St. Andrew's State Park, Panama City Beach, Florida. We spent 2 weeks here in June of 2018. Our site was one of the sites that are located on the lagoon, so it had a great view of the lagoon for early morning coffee watching the fishing boats heading out the pass to the Gulf. The campground is a mixture of 30 and 50 amp sites, and we had a 30 amp site. With the high temps, I wish that it had 50 amp for both air conditioners, but with the shade, it was OK.
All site have water, but none have sewer hookups. The dump station is convenient, so not a big problem with a blue boy. The restrooms and bath houses are clean, and in reasonable condition for the age of this campground. Plenty of hot water, which I needed for my back, hips and shoulders.
The beach itself, is top notch. White sands, and emerald waters. Most of the time we were here, there were red or yellow flag conditions, but still had a great time. This is a high demand campground, and they will be only accepting walk ups over the coming winter months, as they plan on doing upgrades to the campground, including all 50 amp sites, and all sites with sewer hookups. I hope that they also trim some of the low hanging branches, as I did scrape in a few areas, and could not get positioned in the site where I really wanted to be, because of the low branches. If in a class A motorhome, be aware that some of the roadways are narrow, and do have low hanging branches, so take your time.
All in all a very good place to spend a few days or a couple of weeks. - Newjade
Apr 2018 - $32.00
Location is the best feature of this park. Snuggled between the Gulf of Mexico and the Grand Lagoon on the extreme astern end of Panama City Beach provides a neat sand and sea venue. The downside is all sites are just water and electric hook-ups. Most sites are shaded, or at least partially so. Many of the waterfront sites have a great view north over the Grand Lagoon. In some areas there is enough foliage to provide some privacy between sites. Still, the size and nature of the sites varies tremendously so knowing the layout from previous visits is really helpful. There are very nice heated and air conditioned shower houses (4 in total) and 3 different dump stations scattered around the camping area. A particular problem comes up with understanding the arrangement of the odd numbered sites from 17 through 59. On the campground map and, therefore, on the Reserve America campground map these sites appear placed around the inside of a loop. In fact, the "loop" is a straight section of road and sites such as 29 to 25 and sites 53 to 59 are actually side by side and co-mingled, not at all across from each other as shown on the maps. I booked site 55 for us and site 57 for my daughter's family, believing they were indeed side by side. They were not. Site 25 was immediately next to site 57 and site 55 was a small, cramped site one site further away on the opposite side of 25. The state park has beautiful beach area, all along the south edge and all along the east edge. It's fine very white sand and turquoise waters. The beaches are easily reached by bike (all on interior park roads) or by driving over the large parking areas near the boardwalks over the dunes to the beaches. The beaches are the best part of this park. Be aware, however, that the beaches are steeply sloped from the dunes to the water. - sandean

May 2018 - $78.00
This was our second visit. Location, location, location to the beach. It's a short two- block walk before your feet hit the beautiful sand of Panama City Beach. If you want the excitement of PCB, this is not the place. It's at the quiet end of Thomas Drive, which was perfect for us. The bathrooms are very clean as is the laundry. The pool is very nice. Office staff and hosts are wonderful. They spend a good deal of time keeping the grounds clean and neat. When we first arrived, we were a bit disappointed in the grounds as three years ago when we were there, there was grass between sites and this time, there was pine straw and sand. It is my understanding that there has been a change of ownership and there was a problem with sprinklers, but soon the grass is supposed to be replaced. Roads are easy to navigate and beautiful as there are brick pavers. Our site was concrete and very level. We really love the park and will definitely stay again even if they don't replace the grass. Thanks to the staff for being so helpful. - Living the Life

This is a very nice RV park. The staff were very friendly. The pool was a perfect temperature and lovely. The laundry was convenient and adequate. They have security gates evening and night time. - User2522
Dec 2016 - $22.00
We stayed here for special deal ($2,000 for 90 days) December through February. Before we took the deal, I told them that we worked from our RV as we traveled and needed to make sure they had an strong internet connection and they confirmed they did. Also asked if they had an exercise room and they confirmed. The Wi-Fi could only be accessed 10% of the time and then was very week and we were kicked off frequently. They did have an exercise "room" but all of the equipment in the room was broke and didn't work. The pool was never warm enough to enter and had large chunks of concrete missing in the bottom of the pool. I think we were only able to get in it about three times. Many of the lighting around the park are out and don't work. They kept saying that they were under new management and they were going to fix all of these things but in the three months we were here, nothing was done. However, the people at the front desk were very apologetic for the disarray of the park and very helpful. Before I would stay here again, I would visit it in person and make sure all of these thing had been fixed. I just don't like doing business with people who don't tell the truth! - Steve Haynes

This is a Park Model community where every site is individually owned. There are very few RV sites mixed throughout the park. The grounds are very well maintained, the staff is friendly, and easy access to the pools and beach. No pets are allowed by renters, only owners. Also, the easiest way around the park is by golf cart, but again only owners. Despite leaving the family pet at home, we will stay here again. - FrankM
May 2006 - $53.00
Visited this park in 40' motorhome. This park is advertised as "a recreational vehicle condominium resort". Actually it is an RV park that has become a park model park. Only a few, about ten, RV sites still exist and are rented. The park is gorgeous and very well maintained. The staff was friendly & helpful. Park has security patrols and a guard house at gate. The streets are narrow & I could not get my coach into most sites. Most sites would accommodate a coach up to about 32 feet. I got into a corner spot that had extra room to back in. Site was great with mature palm trees, concrete pad, picnic table and swing. Park has boat ramp, boat dock and storage area. Two swimming pools of which one is heated. The other pool overlooks the private beach which one also has access. People in park were very friendly. If this park was more RV oriented I would have rated it a 10. I will stay at park in the future. - rheavn

There are lots of long term sites that have belongings strewn about outside. We were going to stay a month but changed locations after 3 days. The spaces are a bit tight and quite close to each other. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location is ideal for proximity to beaches and restaurants. - BubbaHut

OK for an overnight stop. $65 full hookup. Shower/restroom requires a $5 key deposit, as best we could tell (guys had to shower at the pool & our utility shower so we could pull out on time) it was one at a time. Really short sites, big rigs would be hard pressed. - Massey

On a good note, it is very close to the beach, about 750 ft. across a very busy road. You are close to several resort hotels and the noise from them goes on all night. There is a large outdoor video screen on one of the hotels that lights up the campground like day time. Wifi was terrible, if you can connect at all, it soon drops. Very slow...difficult to even do email. As you would expect, lots of sand. The sites are paved with a concrete patio and picnic table. Lots of permanent residents around the perimeter. We were on site 34 which backs up to some kind of waste water treatment thing. The whole time we were there it smelled like sewer. Garbage pickup regularly at the site. Also, LOTS of road noise. I am usually not bothered by that, but this was like being on strip at Vegas. - BuckeyeTravels

Lesson here: Don't go to Fl during the winter or spring break. Charges are so unreasonable to be ridiculous. Campground was difficult to find in large part to my GPS. Night staff was very helpful in finding when I called and gave a vague description of where we were lost. Asked for pull thru, got back in. Nearly an impossible spot to back into with a 40-ft even with dolly and tow detached but staff was very helpful in getting us in. We immediately found Wi-fi wasn't working. Notified management. They were there next morning and were to call cable company or run a REALLY long wire to our site in the very back of the grounds. Next day it had not been fixed and they had a pull-thru become available. Moved with no problem only to find cable box had been "gutted". Repair was made by late that afternoon. Some of the camp was with permanent trailers rented out and most of the others appeared to be seasonal. Directly across from us was the tent area. Concerned at first, given Spring Break, but found they were quiet and appropriate. Across the street was a very loud lounge but not after about 11-12 pm. Our site (both of them) were paved with no electric or other problems. Grounds are not what you would expect for this price with the permanent sites and many of the mobiles were unkempt. We were told the manager was "let go" our second day. The only good thing I can say was that the staff was helpful before and after the "let-go" manager. 50 amp was fine as was water and sewer connections. - docsheila

We opted to stay here to be near the walking beach which is just across the road from the Park. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms, showers and laundry are in dated building but staff worked hard to keep them clean (and were successful). Our negatives would be the cost as the $20 did not include a $100/monthly tax and the monthly rate increased by $200 beginning 3/1; hard to keep sand out of RV's; next to road and some nightclubs were quite noisy late into evening and early morning. Plus factors are staff, store, shopping and the beach. - Halina

Available to active duty military and retirees only. The regular sites are full hookup, and very nicely situated with LOTS of room between sites. We went through the entire campground, and our review is based on the regular sites, not the overflow which is available only in the high demand months. - One the Rhode
Mar 2018 - $25.00
Lucked out and got 1 of only 2 pull through sites, #59, for 3 nights at $25 per night. Very nice facility with a friendly community feel and a community rec center built by camping volunteers. Very clean and nice showers and laundry facility! Pot luck dinners every Tuesday night. Noisy during the day due to the Raptor flights, so be prepared for that. Bears! But everyone we spoke to seemed quite casual about their presence, even the camp office personnel who just advised caution. Reports of alligators and copperheads near the waterfront trails. Would return but there is not much to do in the immediate area. Panama City Beach is about 40 minutes away! - Tin Can Twosome

We had a nice week stay here at the end of JULY in FL, it was pleasant, restrooms were a/c and clean mostly - its mostly a issue with other people just not cleaning up after themselves. close to beach but we chose to go to a different public beach about 5 miles down the beach/pier beach was crowded. had only 1 issue and not parks problem really but take fire ant protector - fl is covered in fire ants, only 1 person out of 7 of us staying in our camper was bitten. we were in popup camper and just had bought but we had a very pleasant stay here, it was shady and campers were so close that you couldn't enjoy your own space. it was really nice and close to everything you needed to be close to. - tamaleigh
Jun 2017 - $56.00
The campground has tall pine trees which leaked out pine sap on my new 2017 Ford F250. The bathrooms were a little dirty. The owner was very stern about not working with us on another site. Could not rent a 50 amp site instead of a 30 amp even though I had a adapter. Customer service was very poor. Owner is not very accommodating considering being out of town. Fought getting sand in the camper the whole time.
Would not reccomend Racoon River to any of my friends. - dplangley55
May 2017 - $50.00
We loved the campground! The sites are narrow, but very nice. The pools could be spruced up a bit, but that would be our only complaint. Just a short walk to the beach. We will stay here again. - Carol Langdon
