A heads up if you will be here between Feb-June 2019, they have started a beach re-nourishment project and are dredging 24 hours/day. The noise is quite obnoxious especially if you are close to the water. We enjoyed the first 5 days of our stay and then the noise started. The park is open 24 hours/day unlike most state parks and the restroom/shower facilities are looking a little run down. The site was great and we parked across the road from our trailer. The site was small gravel with a picnic table and fire ring. The road between the campsites and the water goes to a boat ramp and pavilions and is used frequently. Several OTA TV channels available and decent Verizon service at our site. We would return when the dredging is over. They hold events quite often at the beach area across the inlet. We got to watch a surfing tournament. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Travel Trailer.

If you can get a site on the water it's diffidently worth it! We had site 53. Great views of the water. Saw lots of dolphin while just sitting outside. 50 amp power was good and water had good pressure. Dump station was clean. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Motorhome.

Fishing is the main attraction here along with a large beach area plus a surfing beach and fishing pier. Not much privacy in the campground as most sites are close together with little vegetation separating them. New rest rooms had clean all tile showers inside with good pressure and plenty of hot water. Outside were a shower and clothes washer & dryer. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fishing museum next to camp office gives a good overview of the area fishing industry and the creation of the inlet to the Indian river. Plenty of fishing opportunity along the inlet or the beach and pier if you don't have a boat. Good boat launch on the Indian River Lagoon adjacent to the campground gives boaters access to the Lagoon and the Atlantic thru the Sebastian Inlet. Eleven miles to the nearest supermarket so stock up before you arrive on this barrier island.

The ranger who checked us in was very kind and helpful even though I had messed up my reservation dates. He found us a site. If you fish, this is a fantastic campground. We don't fish, so we probably won't return. We did enjoy seeing all the birds--who apparently found the fishing good also. Our pull-thru site was very long but not at all level. It took a lot of blocks and numerous attempts to get level. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Motorhome.

Arrived at our site which we reserved 11 months in advance to find our neighbor had set up their chairs and tables on our site in the shade because their site had no shade. We asked a passing park ranger what we should do. He said he would remove the equipment and take it back to the ranger station because it looked like no one what home on their site - no car, all shades drawn. The ranger loaded the equipment into his golf cart and as he was pulling away a guy explodes out of the camper swearing a blue streak and calling us and the ranger every name in the book. The ranger told us to go back into our rig which we did immediately. The guy continued to argue and threaten the ranger, and the ranger told him numerous times their equipment was on our site and that was not OK. After 10 more minutes of loud arguing the ranger left while with the equipment still sat right next to our site, and the guy goes back in his camper. We think the guy should have been thrown out of the campground.

My wife and I decided we would not stay anywhere in this park in case this guy came after us. We pulled up stakes, left the site, and went to the office to ask for a refund. We were told our money would be refunded but never received it.

After this scary experience and no refund we will not return to this campground.

We've been RVing for 20 years. I don't know what's happening to the RV world, but we have witnessed similar "rage incidents" in the last four months where people go ballistic over small matters in campgrounds. We've had one other incident ourselves and have observed numerous others.

So please folks, stay on your own site, be considerate of others in every way, and relax! We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed 7 nights. The park is isolated from city amenities. It is 15 miles from dining and shops. It was difficult to sit outside with all the bugs. We need a screen room. Fishing was good everywhere, the beach, the inlet, the piers and all over. We always saw people catching fish. It took about 1 hour for someone to fill a 5 gallon bucket with fish.

Lot spacing was nearby with some shade. Site surface was gravel and features a fire ring and picnic table. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I mostly want to provide some info about the voltage issues that people have talked about, as I was concerned about that from previous posts. We were there for five nights, including over a weekend when the campground filled-up. I was constantly monitoring the voltage. I never had less than 107 volts, and we mostly ran between 110-115. However, our campsite (#28) had what looked like a power distribution point between us and the next site over. There are five of these in the campground, by sites 7, 21, 28, 38 and 43. I don't know if that made the difference for us, but we were able to run the A/C, fridge (6 cu ft), lights, TVs etc. at will, without any problem- something to consider when choosing a campsite. The A/C is a big deal, because you can forget about having windows open- the noseeums were absolute murder. We made the mistake of having the windows open the second night, and despite spraying the screens with permethrin, we still got hammered. In addition, the "city" water had a milky appearance that was not removed with a Brita filter. Other than that, it was a nice stay. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Motorhome.

Basic state park facilities. Best for rigs 30 feet or less that take 30 amps. We had a pretty view of the inlet and Indian River from our first row site. Our site was mostly level but many are not. Voltage was 104 between 10 am and 8 pm in 90 degee sunny very humid conditions. We ran refridge on propane. Only ran electric water heater when cooler outside, or on propane. Be very careful of your power usage and you will be OK. This is NOT a place for big rigs or folks that require a lot of power. Water pressure just adequate. Dumpsters were overflowing for most of our stay. Surprisingly quiet, but we were there during the week. Enjoyed the Inlet Grill twice for mid afternoon lunch in north section of the park. Treasure museum a waste of time. Enoyed fishing museum which also covers Sebastian history. In spite of the limitations of this park we will return. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Motorhome.

Rate paid is FL senior rate. Overall this park is in a great location, especially so for fishing and other water activities. The CG is an older one with sites tending to be on the small side and most have some grade to them with 30 amp service and water. But there are a few that will work for larger rigs. Water hookup may require extra hoses. TV via batwing and Verizon cell and broadband were both good. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Motorhome.

Best bet for an adult beverage is the New England Eatery appx. 8 miles north of the inlet on A1A. Good food and daily specials, a great place for seafood. The cod fish n chips were the best we have had in a long time.

This could be a great park except when we were there the noseeum bugs kept us in the trailer with the a/c on or forced us out of the campsite either in our car or bike. We were on the backside of the loop which I didn't like. Maybe if we had been closer to the water which was on higher ground, we would have had more of a breeze which would of lessened the amount of bugs that were driving us crazy. Also the sites closer to the water had some great views. There was a great pier in the park that you had to drive to that was fun to walk and watch all the fishermen. If you were an angler, this would be a great park. Biking was great if you went out of the park and to the right. If you turned left you had to go over a bridge which was a little unnerving for a novice biker. The beaches outside the park were beautiful. I don't think we'd return because there were more beautiful parks that suited our needs better. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park right on the inlet. Sites near the water tend to be smaller and the access road to the boat ramp runs between your site and the water. It’s right at the back of your site so you get to hear the trucks pulling their boats in the AM. The second row was better IMHO you could see the water the site were larger and much less road noise. The back row had large sites but no view of the water. Clean bathrooms friendly people. Power was good. All the roads are paved, sites are gravel. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Campground was nice and bathrooms were clean. We gave this park a "7" because some of the facilities (swimming area, wifi at store) were on the other side of the channel. You have to go over a highway bridge to get to them so if you have little kids you have to drive. You can stay on the same side of the channel and walk to the ocean (10 minutes) and have superb beachcombing without crossing the highway. Very nice spot and I would return if through area again. Overall Rating:

The Park is beautiful and access to the water is fabulous BUT there are so very big draw backs everyone should be aware of. We have camped here three times now over the past 3 years, in November and December and January always hoping things would improve. But they have not. The smallest problem is that they advertise that they have washers and dryers but only two washers are in working condition for the entire campground. We have been assured that the company knows they are broken and in over 5 years have never fixed them. A much bigger problems are the bugs and the electric system. The noseeums are impossible and if you are in a motor home or trailer, the electricity is dangerous. We have a monitoring system on our coach and it cuts off when the electricity gets dangerously low for appliances including AC. This happens constantly so using a microwave or AC is pretty seriously impossible. Most folks have no idea they are damaging their equipment since they have no sensor. There is no notice of such low voltage throughout the park on any website including Reserve America. There is a small notice at the campground check in desk which it is easy to miss. Buyer beware. We won't be returning. With the bugs and limited AC it is just not fun. You can't stay on the ocean front 24/7 which is "usually" bug free. We camped at Sebastian Inlet State Park in a Motorhome.
